I played a demo for this a while back and found it wasn't all that bad but quickly forgot about getting it after see it's price tag. Anyways, my interest in the title has been rekindled as Steam are holding a sale of up to half price off so now it's down to a rather tempting sum of £14.99... Of course, it'd be tempting if I knew it was worth getting. So does anyone here have any opinions?

Which version did you play it on? I know there were some discrepancies between the Xbox 360 and PC version. I'm also really cautious about getting it because I know how bad Infinite Undiscovery was (Seriously, what kinda stupid name is that?!) and this came out at the same sort of time. A 66 metacritic rating is also slightly swaying.

I played the xbox 360 version and it was just horrible! I wanted to cry tears of blood for that game. No amount of minor changes would make me enjoy that game
i repeat KILL IT WITH FIRE

I think i'll be giving this one a miss for the time being then. Perhaps in the next seasonal sale they'll reduce it to something more worthwhile like a fiver. I'd get it then as that's nothing but £15 I could put toward much better things.

WOAH. Now that is saying something. I don't get it though, aesthetically it doesn't look too bad and the demo itself wasn't appallingly terrible. They didn't show too much of the plot or much else though so I guess i'm missing out on a lot of the annoyances. Can't Square Enix do anything right anymore?! Dragon Quest seems okay and Final Fantasy is overwhored and iffy in places. Even the spinoffs are becoming more enjoyable than the main series. *shrugs*

From what I remember didn't the battles pan out from different flanking groups attacking from all sides? I seem to remember not having all that much say in the matter apart from selecting one or two things.
Hm, a shame really. JRPGs seemed to have died a thousand deaths lately barring the few marvelous exceptions.
