Haley crossed her fingers as she heard the other trainer's orders. “C'mon Belle, just a little more!” she cheered, hoping that Belle could last. She knew that the outcome of a Pokemon's first battle could heavily effect their morale. She could tell that both Pokemon were tired, and nearing the end of their ropes.
Once the Pikachu stopped to catch her breath, Belle shook off the tremors of her muscles and squeezed the ribbons atop her head, light purple sparks dancing along them as she launched her attack. They were both startled, however, when Katie ordered the Pikachu to run and stop. Haley's eyes widened, and she quickly called to the psychic type, “Hold on tight!” The Chingling held on as tight as she could, but the length of the ribbons caused her to be slammed into the electric-types head as she skidded to a stop.
Haley flinched at the Chingling's scream, eyes wetting at the sound of her Pokemon's pain. 'She's okay, she's okay, she's okay.' she thought, watching the Pokemon to make sure she was, in fact, alright. She, too, couldn't help but to cover her ears from the high pitched noise, echoed by the ringing of her bell. Finally, the Chingling quieted, seeming to be alright, if not stunned from the blow.
“I... dunno... I haven't had her long... this was her first battle.” she gave a breathless chuckle, rubbing her temples, her head throbbing from the high pitched noise. “I've never dealt with something like that before.” She pressed her palms to her eyes, rubbing them. She passed Taka a Potion to give to Belle, not wanting to risk going on the field with the angry Pikachu. Once Taka was safely at her side once more, she called out an order, “Belle, Astonish, once more time! You can do it!”

Both Pokemon were on the end of their health, with Pikachu panting heavily and the Chingling was floating low. Both trainers too, were determined to win. When Belle received the potion from Haley, she quickly sipped it up, gaining some quick stamina. "Chingling!" Belle shouted after she had finished sipping the potion, and readied to continue the battle. "My Pikachu can still take you down even if you heal! Thundershock again!" Katie ordered confidently, and her Pikachu's red cheeks sparked up electricity quickly. The electric rodent ran close to the psychic type, and unleashed a painful, but weak, jolt of electricity. Thankfully for the potion, Belle endured through the pain, but Katie wasn't finished. "Pikachu, Thundershock once more! We're almost there!" the young trainer shouted energetically as she pointed her finger at the Chingling. Pikachu inhaled a deep breath, and then fried electricity to Belle again! Pikachu panted after using two thundershcks in a row, as it would need time to recover. Belle, using this opportunity, squeezed her ribbon tightly and emitted a similar haunting sound. The sudden sound took the Pikachu by surprise, and it squirmed in pain. "That noise! That noise! Pikachu's gonna stop this noise!" Katie shrieked when it was over, she probably couldn't bear with the Chingling's astonish any longer.

Both Haley and Honou couldn't help but grin as their annoying-but-loved Pokemon sipped the healing drink, healing up. Hopefully it would give her the edge she needed to finish the battle. The Chingling, in turn, felt rejuvenated from the boost it gave her, giving her the energy to hold on tight.
In response to the girls cocky shout, the thief merely smiled. She hid her crossed fingers behind her back as she hoped for Belle to make it through the two attacks, hoping that she would make it through the two attacks with help from the Potion.
Thankfully, she lasted through the first, the electricity weakened by the Pikachu's exhaustion. She managed a final wrap, squeezing the Pokemon tight. It didn't faint her, although Haley hadn't expected it too, and the electric-type zapped her again.
Belle groaned softly, barely ringing her bell, seeing stars. Ohh... this hurt... but she couldn't ignore her trainer, and purple lights danced daintily along her ribbons as she squeezed them.
Haley cringed from the noise, a headache pounding through her head, and clasped her hands to her ears. Ugh, she couldn't stand it! But one more outta do it... “Belle, one more Astonish... as quiet as possible please?”
The young Pokemon gave her a long suffering look, her muscles still jumping from the shocks, but moved to attack, having been thrown off.
Seeing that her fellow teammate needed some encouragement, Yokina cheered, sparks dancing on her cheeks. “Belle! Belle, you can do it!” Honou rolled her eyes and glanced over to the baby Pokemon, embarrassment coloring her cheeks. “C'mon Honou!” she hissed, and, reluctantly, the fire-type flared her tail flame and added her voice -quietly- to the cheer.

Pikachu's determination, seemed to boost Katies confidence, and know she actually believed Pikachu got a chance. At least against the little bell, as she thought her pokemon had the upper hand. The other one, didn't even have hands at all!"You can do it, Pikachu! Just one more, and you get it! You are stronger than it!" She yelled encouragingly to her pikachu. It wasn't a lie, as Pikachu would have won the battle, had it not been for the cleverly used potion, but was Pikachu strong enough to win, despite of it? Pikachu was gasping, but had at least managed to throw off the chingling. It charged up and made its cheeks sparkle with electricity, before sending bolt at Belle, who was too burned out, to really try avoid it. Her screams mixed well with the dancing light from the electric shock, and hadn't it been so painful to the pokemon, it would have been beautiful. The light stopped abruptly as Pikachu collapsed on the ground, unable to take any more, and Belle become quiet too, when she wasn't shocked any more. While the pikachu lay fainted on the ground, the chingling laid close by, though she was very well awake, and panted from the exhausting battle. Belle had won. Katie stood as frozen for a long time, while she tried to understand what had happened. She then called Pikachu back into its pokeball, and walked to Haley. When she got closer, it was clear she fought the tears, and she bit her lip hard, while she handed Haley a handfull of money. She looked like she tried to say something, and even tried to smile to Haley, though it became a grimace, so she gave up. She turned around and walked slowly away, probably heading for the Pokemon Center.

Guiltily, Haley realized that she almost hoped for the Pikachu to win. The way she had fried the Pichu tugged at her heart, and it felt like it would only be right for the sister to get her revenge by beating the Chingling. But her command was already out, and so only time would tell. Both the Pokemon looked exhausted, and it was rather obvious that, however this would play out, it would be the last turn. Belle panted, her ribbons limp, while the Pikachu gasped, ears drooping and tail barely held off the ground. However, she still had enough energy to charge up another attack, throwing it at Belle. While she tried to bounce out of the way, her exhaustion, the wind, and the hail all worked against her so that she couldn't dodge, but she managed to stay conscious through the attack, launching her own at the same time. While both Pokemon crumpled to the ground, the Pikachu fainted, Belle remained awake, straining to catch her breath. It took Haley a moment after Katie had recalled the electric-type to recall her own, the red light sucking in the psychic-type. “Great job Belle, you did amazing, especially for your first battle.” she whispered to the ball, which glowed with the power of psychic energy for a moment. She clipped it to her belt, forcing a small, apologetic smile as the other trainer approached, seeing the tears in her eyes. As she turned to walk away, Haley grabbed her wrist, stopping her. “Wait.” her voice cracked. “I'm really, really sorry. I didn't expect that to happen to Pichu.” she looked as if she wanted to say more, but couldn't figure out the words. So, instead, she scribbled her PokeDex number onto a scrap of paper, so Katie could call her if she wanted, though she doubted that she would. The orphan sighed as she watched the girl walk away, feeling Honou lean against her leg. Unconsciously, she reached down and rubbed her Pokemon's smooth scales, accepting the apology for what it was. When the girl was far enough away she, too, began to walk to the Pokemon Center. When Haley arrived, she slumped down at a table, ordering a drink. With a sigh, she slung her bag up onto the table, the Poke Balls rolling out. Cupping the coffee, she drew a long drink, glancing at Honou and Yokina. “Mind putting them in the PC?” The two shared a look, but nonetheless did as asked, being helped by Nurse Joy. “Man, she's really bummed about the battle,” sighed Yokina. “I can't blame her,” Honou stared at the ground. “I really burned that Pichu.”“It wasn't your fault.”The Pichu looked around. “None of us knew she was that weak.” the young electric-type's eyes landed on a young adult boy with bright blond hair. He seemed rather distracted, staring at his PokeDex and typing on it at odd intervals. A wide grin covered Yokina's lips, and she interrupted Honou, who had been about to speak. “I know how to cheer her up!”Honou cocked her head. “How?”“With a...gift.” the fire-type followed her gaze, smirking when she saw what she was looking at. They shared a nod, and the Pichu stalked forward, careful not to be seen nor appear suspicious. It was as she was doing this that Honou noticed an unattended backpack laying on a bench. Her blue eyes flickered over to her teammate, making sure that she wouldn't blow her cover, and then she darted over to it, unzipping it and grabbing the first Poke Ball she found, then zipping it and bolting, dashing up to Yokina when the other gestured for her. Meanwhile, Yokina reached the trainer and leaped up onto the chair behind him, balancing easily. She unclasped three Poke Balls from his belt, tossing them down to Honou, before leaping down herself. Honou, who had put the four Poke Balls into a pile, easily caught her, then set her down. The reptile picked up the pile, walking over to Haley with Yokina. Their trainer looked down at them, and frowned. “I told you to put them in the PC.” she growled, but upon further prodding, she realized that the names that the Balls were labeled with didn't match any of her Pokemon. The tips of her lips quirked up, and she looked down at her Pokemon. “You guys are the best.” She stood, dropping the proper amount for the coffee on the table, and headed for the door. “C'mon guys, let's go meet our new members!” her mood was new better, and she felt ready for a battle. The duo were lead to the sandy tides of the beach, and she pulled the first Poke Ball off her belt. With a whispered plea that it would be something she could handle, she hit the button, a read light forming a green wolf-dog with a yellow pattern. The canid gave her a quizzical look as it sat down, tilting its head to the side and emitting a low, uncertain whine. Haley frowned, and pulled out her PokeDex. “Electrike; the Lightning Pokemon. Using electricity stored in its fur, it stimulates its muscles to heighten its reaction speed.” Yokina cheered. Another electric-type! This drew the dog's attention to her, and it trotted up to her, cocking its head before shoving its nose into her belly, making her laugh. Haley couldn't help a smile as she pulled out the next Ball, the red light forming a long, mongoose-like form with a blue back and cream underside. It huffed, and with an exhale flames shot from its head and rump. Again, she turned the Dex on it, although it was obvious it was a fire-type. “Quilava; the Volcano Pokemon. It intimidates foes with the heat of its flames. The fire burns more strongly when it readies to fight.” This time, it was Honou who grinned. The next light formed a long snake-like figure, violet in color. The snake drew itself up onto its coils, hissing, and Haley's grin couldn't be restrained. A snake Pokemon, an Ekans at that! “Ekans; the Snake Pokemon. It sneaks through grass without making a sound and strikes unsuspecting prey from behind.”Haley released the final Pokemon, the light forming a flying blue bat, and again she grinned. Now she didn't have to wait so long for a Crobat! “Crobat; the Bat Pokemon. It does not need eyes, because it emits ultrasonic waves to check its surroundings while it flies.”She waved her hands between the Pokemon. “Denki, Tirrika, Tor, Avalanche, these are my partners, Honou and Yokina.” she smirked as she got an idea. “Let's spar!” “Tirrika, you fight Tor. Avalanche, you for Honou. Yokina, you fight Denki.” She is inside the city(thought I'd clarify) Trade: Belle the Chingling FOR Denki the Elecrike Taka the Treecko FOR Avalanche the Quilava Sky the Taillow FOR Tirrika the Ekans Sandy the Sandshrew FOR Tor the Zubat

Even though Yokina did her best to go unnoticed, she didn't succeed intirely, as a single pair of eyes watched her closely adn saw all what happened. Who ever the eyes belonged to, didn't try to stop them, or do anything to warn the distracted trainer about the stealing of his pokemon. The figure to whom the eyes belonged, stayed until the trainer noticed the missing pokeballs, then he rose and slipped out of the Pokemon Center too. It was easy for the boy, as the figure was a human, to spot and follow Haley and her team to the beach, where he leaned against tree, well hidden in the shadow. He watched Haley meet her new pokemon and their training for quite some time, as he pondered about what to do. At last the pushed himself from the tree and approached Haley. "I must say that was a bold move, though the result from it looks rather poorly." He commented with a grin that didn't reach his eyes. "The weak trainer back in the Center really got what he deserved and it was fun to see his panick. But I can see why you have to take others pokemon, as you clearly don't have any winning change with your own pokemon." He said coldly and glanced disdainfully at the pokemon around Haley. "I guess that is the only thing they are good at."He looked Haley up and down. "But looking at their trainer makes the answer clear, why they are so weak. What have you done? Thrown yourself into a flock of bedrills?" He looked mockingly at her, while waiting for her answer. No matter what it was, his answer would be this: "Never mind. I could use some weaklings to test out this useless thing before I sell it. Get ready to loose!"With a flick of his hand he sent a pokeball flying, and out came a zubat. Silver challanged your to a battle. He sent out Zubat |Level 8| Choose a pokemon!(OOC: Sorry, but I couldn't let an actually stealing go unnoticed. The trainer sighed, reclining back on her hands as she sat on the sands of the beach, relaxed but aware of each pair in case she had to jump in; she didn't know these new Pokemon yet so, she couldn't trust them completely. Her eyes slowly roved over the pairs, trying to police them while also getting a feel of the new Pokemon's abilities and habits.
The Ekans -No, Tirrika was her name, scrawled on the Poke Ball-, she had paired up with the Zubat -Rot? Tor? She'd have to check later-. She hadn't wanted to pair up any of the new Pokemon together, so she could see how they worked with her original team, but her Pokemon had been outnumbered 2-4. As she watched, the Ekans lunged towards the Zubat, mouth open but fangs flattened back so as not to hurt her ally. The Zubat twisted and flattened his wings to his sides, twirling elegantly out of the way and quickly struck his wing against her scales in a mimic of his Wing Attack.
Her gaze shifted to the Quilava -Avalanche? Where did that name come from? A mockery of his weakness to ground-types?-, who drew in a deep breath before opening his maw and releasing a black cloud that flew toward Honou, some going into her mouth, which hung open in preparation for an Ember attack. Shocked, her azure eyes bulged and she began to cough and gag, choking on the foul-tasting smoke. Haley, alarmed, went to stand, but stopped when Honou suddenly drew in a deep breath and, using the flammable gas, launched her Ember attack. Avalanche, taken by surprise, was sent rolling, but he scrambled to his feet, unharmed. His large claws dug into the sand, attempting to find the purchase he needed. When the fire-type found it, he was a mere blur as he launched himself across the sand in a Quick Attack, which Honou barely dodged.
Next, she looked at the last pair, the electric types. The Electrike -Dinky?No, Denki.[/i]- was wriggling his whole body in accompaniment to his tail, tongue hanging out happily. He dropped down onto his forelegs, rear end in the air in the classic 'play with me!' pose of a canine Pokemon, looking at Yokina hopefully. The Pichu -who Haley was beginning to think might have a split personality- turned slightly to give her trainer a long suffering look, before turning back to her opponent. The Electrike, taking this as a 'yes', barreled forward in long, loping strides, paws throwing up sand. He launched his whole body at the smaller Pokemon, who barely reached half his height at the fur that stood up on the tips of her ears. She let out a squeal, and leaped out of the way, leaving him to flop onto the sand, sand flying everywhere. In protest of the rough treatment, she quickly charged up electricity in her cheeks and launched it, striking him square on with a ThunderBolt.
The young girl smiled proudly, and leaned back to watch the aquatic Pokemon dance on the tips of the waves. She was broken from her contentment however, when Denki, who had settled for simply wrestling with Yokina, looked up, cocked his head, swiveled his ears, and began to let out a rumbling growl. Not a threat, but more a warning.
Haley looked at the canine, and turned, trying to see the source of his distress. However, Silver approached on her blind side, so she couldn't see him. She stood, turning to face him, feeling a coal of annoyance at the sight of the red-haired boy from Route Twenty-Nine. It grew into an ember of annoyance when he insulted the Pokemon she had just attained, and it became a small flame an anger when he insulted her Pokemon she had had for a while. But she was used to hiding her anger, so she settled for putting one of her hands into the pocket of her jeans and making it into a fist. The distraction helped her keep her mouth shut so she didn't get herself into trouble by saying something stupid.
However, her mouth ran away from her with what he said next. She was used to people insulting her appearance, it was commonplace. But it was the way he phrased it, insulting both her and her Pokemon at the same time, that breathed air into the flame, turning it into an inferno. “I fail to see how a trainer's physical appearance has anything to do with their Pokemon's strength. I've met plenty of thin, scrawny kids who've had strong, champion Pokemon!” she growled, and her Pokemon could sense her anger. Terrika wrapped herself up into the typical snake shape, and began to hiss. Honou walked to her side, glaring at the trainer, although more angry at the fact he had insulted her trainer than that he had insulted them. 'This joker again? Really?'she groaned. Pichu bound forward, and leaped up, scrambling onto her shoulder and sparking her cheeks. Denki lumbered to her heels, never ceasing his growls, although he did butt up against her shin concernedly. Avalanche lit his flames and flared them, hoping that she would send him forward to scorch this wanna-be fire-type into ash. Tor, meanwhile, fluttered docilely in the air, waiting to see if the source of his new teams ire was all talk or an actual danger.
She took a deep breath, regretting her anger, and doused the inferno, hiding the anger once more by using her wry and sarcastic sense of humor. “Nah, 'sides, I'm pretty sure a Beedrill would leave you full of holes and poison. I managed to step on a Mightyena's tail and step on the tail of a cranky Persian, all at the tender age of three.” she sighed as though reminiscing, and then: "I tend to step on tails a lot." this time with a chuckle, as though she found it funny, although really she was annoyed and wanting this to be over, not really caring what he would say about how she got them.
When he sent out the Zubat, she felt pity for it briefly. Even though he was going to sell it, it would have to suffer with him until then, poor beast. For a moment, she pondered using Tor -Rot?-, to test him against one of his own, but then Denki's growling stopped and he butted his head against her leg, giving her wide, pleading eyes. She grinned wide, and nodded, pointing at the Zubat (and partially at Silver, though she wouldn't allow him to start a fight unless Silver did) and commanding: “Get 'em, Denki!”
The Electrike barked happily, and his fur sparked with electricity as he bounded forward, dropping into a play bow a mere three leaps away from the Zubat. He wiggled in time with his tail, tongue hanging from his mouth. “Denki, let's get started! Use Tackle!”

Silver smirked coldly at Haley's answers and he enjoyed that he had succeeded in making her offended. He did not care for what reason, only for what reaction he could get out of her. He ignored how all her pokemon gathered supporting around her, even the ones she had barely met. At first he ignored her answer too, and just stared disdainfully at her, like he wondered if she was worth an answer at all. "Avoiding the comment about thievery?" He mocked her. "Can't you admit it to yourself, or are you just scared of the police should know?"
He suspected that was her weak point, since she hadn't reacted on it, and he thought she wouldn't admit it to herself, what she had done. "Perhaps I should go and tell them about your 'trading' methods?""Let me enlighten you, child. If you need to steal other trainers pokemon, you are obviously not strong enough to train them yourself." Silver finally answered her quesiton. "And those kids you have seen, or not real trainers! Their parents buy them all the strong pokemon the kids want! The few ones that train pokemon themselves are just doing it is some kind of game, and it never becomes anything else than a thing they play!" Silver sounded really angry now, not like his usual cold self. As the the electrike leaped forward he hissed his comman to his zubat. "Supersonic." Though the bat didn't get time to do anything before Denki slammed into it and sent it flying directly into a tree. "Pathetic." He mumbled disgusted as the Zubat got to its wings again. He ignored it. He looked closer at Haley, like it was the first time he saw her and his eyes narrowed. "Haven't I seen you before?" He asked her before he snarled silently when he thought he remembered. "You were the one who sent your newly stolen pokemon against my water type.." He said slowly, making clear that was the important thing. That she had made a stupid mistake, and not what came after that.

As he spoke, Haley's eyes widened before narrowing, and it took her a moment to speak. It hadn't been intentional of her to avoid his question; she had been too incensed too answer it. “Actually, I just didn't feel like answering.” As he spoke again, she restrained an eye roll and a sigh. “I really don't care if the police find out. It'd make things interesting for once.” she laughed dryly. “Go ahead, be my guest.” Red-brown eyes gazed at him, as though trying to figure him out. He had that aura, that look about him that she had come to expect of her fellow thieves. “I get the feeling you don't exactly walk in the light either. I'd like to see how they'd react to you.”
“This is a Mightyena eat Mightyena world, fire-boy. If you're stupid or weak enough to have your Pokemon stolen, then you don't deserve to have them.” she snorted. “And I am not talking about these kids that have just gotten their Pokemon. I'm talking about kids that have made their rounds and fought the Elite Four.” The girl couldn't help but be surprised at his sudden anger. “The ones who see it as a game never make it, but they should never start. They should never get Pokemon in the first place. All they do is hurt themselves, their Pokemon, and others.”
When Denki leaped forward, she turned her attention from their conversation to the battle, wanting to be done with the boy. She couldn't help but cringe when the ground-bound canine rammed the flying bat into a tree. Ragged nails dug into her palms when she heard the insult he spat at his own Pokemon, and she bit her tongue to keep quiet.
The girl raised her eyebrow when he asked if he'd seen her before. “What, you forgot me already Silver?” she sighed, and shook her head, acting hurt. “I am deeply, deeply hurt!” Honou laughed, and Yokina giggled, although she didn't know what they were talking about. “Yes, I used Sandy against your Totodile. You have horrid timing, by-the-way.” she smirked. Haley seemed not to have noticed how he spoke slowly.
“Denki, Tackle again!” she called, and the dog barked happily before bounding towards the Zubat, whole body wagging happily.

"I wonder why." Silver mumbled smugly to her first answer, and he raised an eyebrown at her next. "That would be stupid, but I'm not surprised."
"I have no problems with the police and can walk around freely anywhere without having to fear. He answered her calmly, but not as unfaced as before, avoiding the comment about how lawful he was himself. He glared at her not wanting her to actually agree with him, since it made it much more difficult to offend her and hurt her. "I don't care about what happens to pokemon or people who thinks they should play. They can hurt each other as much as they want, since it is probably the only way they'll learn. But they are wasting my time, just like you are." He snapped in his best attempt of paying her back and stay on control of the conversation. It was difficult though as he had made some stupid mistakes and had thought her to be like every other pokemon adoring so called trainers he had met. He snarled silently when she mocked him for his forgetfulness. "You are easy to forget, but no, I didn't. I just thought you were behind bars long time ago. You aren't very discreet, you know, and I thought that even the police weren't stupid enough to miss what you are doing." He said coldly. He narrowed his eyes at her last comment. "What do you mean about my timing? Because you have stolen yourself a electric type which is probably too weak to use any electric attacks?"
He snorted disdainfully. "Don't think you are great or anything if you beat this zubat. It is a weakling after all and wouldn't survive any proper training."It was hard to read the zubat's mood due to the lack of facial structures other than the mouth, but there was something about it's posture which hinted it was rather hurt by Silver's words. "Leech seed. Try see if you can actually stay in the battle a bit longer than a few seconds." Silver said annoyed and watched how Denki playfully tackled his zubat, who threw itself around and buried its teeth on Denki's side, to prove itself. The teeth didn't sink in very long, and Denki almost didn't noticed and had shaken the bat off, before it had done some serious damage.

A scowl curved her lips, but she had already played into his hands several times – she wouldn't say anything else and do it again. However, she couldn't help but feel annoyed at his smugness, and Honou could sense both of their emotions; her tail flame flared, and she bared her fangs. While she may not have been sure of her trainer at first, the fire-type was rather attached to her now. Though this trainer looked somewhat like those of her species, he radiated smugness, and was making her trainer mad.
Blue eyes rolled up to look at her, questioning her on what she should do. Should she go over there and try to pat out the flame atop his head? Haley's own rusty-eyes rolled down to meet hers, and she shook her head in the slightest of movements. The Charmander, unsatisfied, huffed, blowing a puff of smoke out of her nostrils.
Yokina didn't take well to his next answer.
The normally happy and playful Pichu went ballistic at Silver pretty much calling her master stupid. Her fur bristled, and sparks danced along the golden fur, threatening to shock her master. Her pointy ears flattened against her skull, and she bared her tiny fangs, claws digging into Haley's shoulder. She leaped, launching towards Silver, looking ready for murder. “Denki!” the canine spun and leaped, grabbing the mouse before she could get far. Yokina struggled against his grip as Haley grabbed her Pokeball, recalling the electric-type. She stared at the machine in her hand for a long moment, baffled. “What the heck?”
Too shocked by her Pokemon's actions to respond, she merely raised an eyebrow at him. “If...” she threw her other Pokemon a wary look, now fearful they might try to attack one of them. “if I'm wasting your time, then why don't you just leave?”
She let out a bitter laugh. “If I'm easy to forget, then I dread seeing who else you've seen. Perhaps a kid with Hawlucha feathers for hair? A girl wearing only Mareep fur underthings?”
“Me? Behind bars? With the Officer Jennys doing all the work? They can't catch Team Plasma or Team Flare, and those idiots are very easy to catch. Once you've found one Team Plasma or Team Flare member, you've found them all. Yeah, right, like she'd find a single kid who actually, like, ohmigosh why didn't we think of this?, changes her clothes into something else.”
The trainer couldn't help but roll her eyes. “By 'bad-timing', I meant that you came at a time when me and my Pokemon aren't exactly in a good mood to deal with you, as you saw.” She clenched her hands into fists as he, once again, spoke poorly of the Zubat. “You do know that Pokemon statistically fight better when they actually care for their trainer, so it wouldn't be his fault if he lost.” she huffed, seeing that the Pokemon seemed sad.
A corner of her mouth curled up into a smirk. “Don't you mean Leech Life?” she chided, practically purring at the trainer's slip-up. She turned to the canine Pokemon, who was looking at her happily, having not even noticed the fangs in his side, tongue hanging out of his mouth. “Tackle once more, please.”
(Not calling you out on your mistake, but with their banter it was just too good to not use )

The calm expression on Silver's face disappeared as the pichy suddenly raced towards him. He moved his hand faster than the eye, and a moment later a totodile was standing in front of him. It blinked a few times before it noticed the pichu and bared its teeth threateningly at her, ready to defend its master. It didn't have to as Denki took care of Yokina and grabbed her in his mouth before she got too close to Silver and Totodile. The glare Silver sent Haley was mixed with a "what did I tell you" expression. "Control your pokemon." He said coldly as only reaction to the incident. He thought this more than enough prooved his point about Haley not being a worthy trainer. He recalled the totodile again. He huffed at her quiet question, he liked to be the one on top. "Because!" He said and made a pause to show how stupid he thought she was, if she needed to ask about that. "I need an easy opponent to test things out." He rolled his eyes. How could she even think he saw her as a worthy opponent? He didn't answer on her comments on Officer Jenny, as they agreed on that part, nor on why she was easy to forget. He rarely thought about the ones he battled unless they were already well known as trainers, like a gym leader or the champion. He especially didn't remember those whom he lost to.He looked disdainfully at her as she told him they weren't in the mood for a battle, and that happy pokemon should be able to fight better. "If you need to be in a specific mood to be able to battle, you have a lot to learn."
He rose an eyebrown looking like he thought about what to say to the kindness thing. "Where have you read that? In kindergarten? Come with the scientific paper that says that, since the only people normally saying that are weaklings. Before I'm not going to believe you, since that is just nonsense."
He called out his attack and his eye twitched as Haley called out his mistake, but he quickle hid it. "Didn't I say I was only testing stuff? I'll better explain when you are so slow." e said with a smirk and the zubat turned to looked confused at him too. "As I said I'm going to sell it, and I can get more for it if is clever enough to correct mistakes its future trainer surely will make."Silver grew serious again. "They will probably say the same thing as you, that friendship is what makes pokemon strong, and they will be stuck where they are since they only pet their pokemon." Now Silver looked furious. "What do you think wild pokemon do? Or the Champion? Sitting back and eat berries all day long?" He huffed again. "No, they train hard and long, and I will do too, since it is a tough world out there."
He moved his attention to the zubat, who flinched a bit. "Supersonic, and make sure you hit it this time!" He ordered harshly which made the zubat bolt around, though it didn't get time to locate Denki, before the electric canine sllammed into its stomach once more. It fought gasping to get upright again, doing its best to find where the electrike was with its sonar. "What are you waiting for." Silver asked it impatiently and the zubat threw out a supersonic in a wide area in front of it, where it was lucky enough to hit Denki, mostly by luck. Denki shook his head as it became very difficult for him to think clearly.

'What in Arceus' name is wrong with [that] Pichu?' was the common thought shared by all of Haley's Pokemon. Honou stared in bafflement at the Poke Ball still clenched tight in her trainer's hand. What in the world had happened to set off her normally cheerful rival like that? Sure, Silver had insulted their trainer, but still... Happy-go-lucky Denki paid little mind to the scuffle after returning the electric-mouse to his new owner. He didn't care that his new teammate had just lost it, his mind only on playing with his new found friend. He would think on it later, maybe with a bone or stick to gnaw on, but right now he wouldn't let it get to him. Fire hearted Avalanche huffed, a puff of smoke leaving his mouth. If that had been his old trainer, and that dog hadn't been there to stop him... he flared up the flames on his back. Tirrika merely coiled up tighter on herself, her golden eyes focusing on the Poke Ball that had yet to be put away. 'Ffffffoolish hatchling. Needsssss to learn sssssself control.' she purred, shaking her head almost mournfully. 'Thisssss isssss why I never had hatchlingsssss.'Meanwhile, Tor seemed nearly bored. He fluttered in the air, wings beating rhythmically. However, his mind was working as he tried to figure out this new group he now seemed to be in, focusing mostly on the Pichu. 'The girl... there's something about her. Yes, she stole us, but we can trust her.' he thought, observing her. 'That dog... there isn't much to him. The Charmander seems to be the leader of the group.' he hummed. 'She seems quite close to her trainer. Very close to evolving too.' he noted, sensing the power that rolled off of her, something that only sensitive Pokemon could feel, warning of an evolution. 'The Quilava... he seems rather hot headed, but that's to be expected. But that Pichu... That anger came from nowhere. Something's not right about her.'Haley was unable to get angry at Silver's smug look. “I... that... I don't know where that came from.” her mind flashed to the horrifying documentaries she'd sneak into on electric-types with far too much electricity, and shuddered. Could that be what was wrong with Yokina? She took a steadying breath, and put on a poker face. She'd mastered it long ago. If one were to look at her, they'd be unable to tell that anything had just happened, although her hands shook. “If you want to test things out, then you should do it on something worthy. It's always going to work on something easy.”She snorted as he misunderstood her words. “That's not what I meant. I don't need to be in a specific mood to battle. But I need to be in a specific mood to deal with you.” She bit her tongue so as not to say she didn't attend kindergarten. She didn't want to give him more ammo. “And don't you know that there are certain moves that work better the more a Pokemon likes its trainer? Return? And certain Pokemon will only evolve if they like their trainers. So good luck with that. I'm not saying you have to be all lovey-dovey, but at least show it a bit of attention. It's a sentient being like you, too, you know.” she growled. Haley and Honou bristled when he called her slow. “It shouldn't have to be able to. Any trainer worth his salt won't make a mistake like that. He'll know his Pokemon's moves.” Her eye narrowed as he continued. “And don't put words in my mouth! I know Pokemon fight! I'm not saying we shouldn't have them fight. And you need to train your Pokemon, and yourself! The world is cruel, if you don't you'll get thrown under an Onix! But you should treat your Pokemon with respect! They are far stronger than you, and don't have to fight for you! But they do! And a Pokemon who respects and likes his trainer will put more of himself into a battle! And if you find yourself in a dangerous situation, which we all know will happen because Johto isn't a wonderful world of Cottonee and Rapidash, your Pokemon will be more likely to risk themselves to help you, instead of running off and saving their own hides!”The young girl took several deep breaths, rather embarrassed that she had gone off on him like that. Honou hugged her leg, rather concerned for the girl. Hearing him give his Zubat a command, she spoke with a rather flat voice. “Tackle again, Denki.” The canine huffed, attempting to gather his scrambled thoughts enough to hit the Zubat.

Silver smiled smugly when Haley became speechless, even if it was only for a short time and because she was surprised by her own pokemon's actions. It was good to know he was able to make others go quiet and being unable to answer his clever accusions and insults. She recovered annoyingly quickly. Silver grinned maliciously at Haley. "I am finding it something worthy, since if it doesn't have a chance against you, it is completely hopeless." He told her and the zubat looked crestfallen. He rose an eyebrow when she admitted she had difficulties in handling his superb insulting. "Should that make it any better?" He laughed shortly without humor. "So what if a steelix chose to attack you and you weren't in "the mood" to deal with it? Would you so ask it to wait to another day?" He asked her mockingly. He wasn't going to give her any advice, though he was tempted to tell her, he believed you needed to learn to step into the rigth battle mood or mode, not choosing your battles depending on your mood. Silver rolled his eyes when Haley started to talk about friendship moves, how stupid did she believe he was? "Of course I know about it, but what is the point with a move where the pokemon goes into hiding in it's pokeball? If you wanted it to battle then it should stay out on the battlefield!" There, she couldn't possible be able to argue against that. Og he was so great at this. "Most pokemon who evolves thorugh 'friendship' isn't worth wasting your time on, and the last few ones is where you mistake the word 'friendship' with 'respect'." He didn't get time to say more before Haley started a longer speech and he had no chance of interrupting before she had to breath. "There it is again." He said slowly with a smug smile. "The word respect." "It is exactly beacuse it is stronger you need to show them whose boss! If you don't they'll turn against you and then I'll just say good luck!" He huffed annoyed as he had had plenty of similar conversations with other trainers he had beaten. since he never lost a battle"You are mistaken the two words. You are playing games with friends, where you need proper respect to fight together, and there is plenty of ways to give attention." He gestured at his zubat. "I'm giving Zubat here my attention, if it has missed your attention, but unlike other zubats this is not worth my time, and you can see it already know it."
He sent it a last disdainfully glare. "I'm training pokemon who are worth my time and who actaully will have a chance to become something with me, the rest will not survive it! The ones I know can handle what I need them to do, knows it! And I respect them for that, but they still need to acknowledge me as their trainer and know I'm in charge. If not they will act just as your pathetic pichu!"
He stayed silent as Denki once again charged at Zubat, who in return did its best to avoid him, making it look like it halfway tried to run away. Denki managed to see thorugh the headache and gave Zubat another hit in the stomach hitting the air out of it. It landed hard on the ground, where it quickly was recalled. "If a pokemon ever tries to run away in a battle, it's less worth than one who just doesn't have the skills to fight. If it have the strength but is afraid of using it, there is no way it can ever live up to its potential. That doesn't have anything to do with your so called 'friendship', but only how strong they are mentally, how much guts they have."
"Let me show you what I mean, since words apparently has a hard time being on the inside on your skull." He said knowingly and called out his Totodile again, before he looked expectantly at Haley.

Haley could see that the Zubat was sad from its body language. “Well, you might not agree, but I think it's a damn good Pokemon, especially for a low level Zubat!” she growled, her Pokemon letting out similar sentiments, hoping to cheer it up.
Her brow creased in frustration. “I'd be fine battling a Steelix, Beedrill, Fearow, heck, even a Magikarp. I like all Pokemon.”
“What if your Pokemon was poisoned? Paralyzed? If you recalled it normally, it would give your opponent a chance to land an extra attack on the new Pokemon. But with Return, your Pokemon won't be stuck with a status problem, and the new Pokemon won't get broad-sided.” Her lips curled down into a scowl. “Well, let's see. Crobat, Espeon, Umbreon, and Lucario are pretty useful.” it was said in a thoughtful hum, trying to recall which Pokemon she could think of that evolved with happiness.
“Respect,” she growled, “is a two way street. Your Pokemon do need to respect you. But. You need to respect your Pokemon to get respect.” She bristled when he degraded the Zubat once more. “Well, I think it's a good Zubat!”
The trainer gritted her teeth and stayed silent, not trusting herself to say something as he insulted Yokina. What had happened there?
“It could,” she finally settled on, “know it's outmatched, and want to fight another day. Running away from a Pokemon that greatly outmatches it will allow it to fight another, whereas if it keeps on fighting it could faint, leaving its trainer defenseless.”
“Denki, come on back!” The white-haired trainer called. The Electrike didn't hesitate to spin around and race up to her, excited to have won. She crouched down and laughed as he licked her cheek. “Good job, bud. You did well!” gloved hands ran through his ruff and he wriggled excitedly. “You've earned a rest.” She stood back up, Denki laying beside her, and reached for Yokina's Poke Ball. 'Please let this work.'
She tossed the capture device into the air, watching as Yokina formed. “Chuuuu!” The Pichu shook herself off, seeming considerably calmer, having gotten over her episode earlier.
“Yokina, show him what you can do with a ThunderShock!” 'Please!
