[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i421/LookaHorsey/bgti.png] He wasn't sure how he'd ended up in Azalea town. Sandy had apparently wanted to check up on how Diva had been since she evolved. He was sure that wasn't the reason she wanted to see him. They were sitting together now by the Windowsill of the Pokemon center. He knew he couldn't yet challenge the Gym Leader, and that was fine with him. Ivan held a brush in his hands, grooming down the length of her back as Sandy watched his rhythmic strokes across the hound's fur. The wolf carefully opened one eye when she heard the man's voice. Sandy was playing with Darryl's scarf, refusing to look up at her cousin.
"So, mind telling me why you really wanted to come out here to see me? I know that you trust me with Diva, so don't try to feed me that Sandy." Sandy nodded, looking sort of Somber, her gaze remaining on her shoes as her cousin spoke, bold and clear, letting her know he didn't want her to beat around the bush. She swallowed a breath and finally gathered the courage to look at him.
"Well, with today being... Aunt Hannah's... you know...I just wanted to make sure you were doing okay." Ivan paused his brush strokes for a minute to lock gazes with her, which Sandy quickly broke when she noticed the scary look in Ivan's eyes. Ivan snapped out of it when he noticed he had scared the mousy girl, and continued his brushing. Beside Diva, Missy shot Ivan a quizzical look.
"Am I ever really okay today Sandy? There's no point in trying to check on me, I'm not rash like Reever is." He felt the wind knocked out of him suddenly when he was pushed to the floor by Diva's large paw. The hair's on her back were standing on end, and it was then Ivan realized he had been brushing her too hard. Sandy put Darryl down and helped Ivan up, giving him a small, sympathetic smile.
"But you do get distracted easily, and that's what I was worried about. Why don't we go for a walk, okay? Fresh air Clears the mind. I'm going back to visit mom anyway so you can walk me to Union Cave." Ivan gave her a nod, quietly apologizing to Diva, remembering that she was a large Pokemon and she probably hadn't swung so hard at him purposely. He followed Sandy, who had just picked up Darryl again, out of the Pokemon Center and Diva turned to Missy.
<<What is up with him today?>>
<<He's a sad little pup who's lost his mother long ago Diva.>> Diva stood up, and with a slight huff told Missy she should give up on trying to use riddles. The with a bound, she hurried out of the Pokemon center to tail the two trainers. She followed with light footsteps, watching as the two passed by a rather large cottage, from the side of it.
"So all I'm saying Ivan, is if you're in pain...and I know you are, just don't keep it all inside, okay?" Ivan nodded in understanding, averting his eyes from Sandy's.
"I can't really promise you much, but I can try my best."
"That's better than the answer I got from you last year." Sandy and Ivan hugged each other, and like that, she had departed for a new destination once again, leaving Ivan to his thoughts. It didn't take him long to Wander off course, and Diva followed him to a fenced in area and stopped behind some shrubs so she wouldn't be seen. The second Ivan seemed to realize where he was, he stopped. The garden was beautiful, decorated by flowers, and exotic looking trees. But it was probably a place he shouldn't have ended up.
"Great...You're probably laughing at me now and hoping some crazy lawn keeper comes out to tell me to stay off his lawn aren't you mom?" He asked to no one in particular. However, he did feel a bit more at ease among the flowers.

It really sucked to have the cottage to herself sometimes.
Sable and Tobias, still ever so much in love with one another, had strolled out of the place saying something about a date night and they'd be back the next evening. While it was nice to have some peace, having no one to talk to ruined the fun. Tanya scowled at the TV, having flicked through the channel guide and not finding anything worth watching. Her auburn hair was slightly mussed, as if she had simply decided not to brush it at all today. The jeans she wore had rips and holes in places, but these weren't the artful kind.
It was just a day to not care. Her only company was Nyx, who had taken to sleeping somewhere dark, complaining about the sun being too harsh for her delicate eyes. Tanya rolled her own as she recalled the conversation; while Nyx had promise, the Murkrow was a royal pain in the ass. "To hell with this!" Tanya growled to no one in particular, removing herself from the couch and tossing the remote down. Maybe she'd try cooking, see if her disastrous abilities had improved at all.
If anything, it would mean Sable would come home to a gigantic mess. The thought made her grin, an evil glint springing into her eyes; this would be Sable's payback for leaving Tanya stuck alone in the house, bored out of her mind. She strolled into the kitchen, pushing back the sleeves of her favourite shirt. Pancakes... that would be a good snack. Maybe she'd accidentally fling one too high and let it stick to the ceiling. Chortling quietly, the red-haired girl began rooting around. She set the instant mix box down and crouched down by a cupboard to grab the frying pan.
As she stood back up, something caught her eye outside the window that looked into the garden. The late day sun was streaming through it, but as Tanya cautiously moved to the other side of the kitchen, she noticed there was someone out there. "If it's those snot-nosed brats from town again, I'm going to throw them in lake," the girl growled, snatching up the frying pan off the counter she'd set it on. Maybe they'd leave the damn flowers alone if she started whacking them with this. This had to stop now, since the parents clearly weren't listening to her complaints and telling their punk kids to stay away.
Tanya dashed out of the kitchen and into the living room, reaching the door that led out to the garden. Yanking it open rather angrily, she ran into the garden, ignoring the fact she wasn't wearing any shoes. Not like such a trivial thing would matter; all she had to do was scare off the damn kids from town. Raising the frying pain above her head, Tanya let out a battle cry and charged forwards when suddenly the light shifted and she saw Ivan standing there instead. Skidding to a rather ungraceful halt, the red-haired teen stood still with the frying pan still held up, red blotches on her cheeks.
"I-Ivan? What are you doing in my garden?"

Did he not realize he was lost yet? She had her head on paws, staring out at the stretch of route in front of her. There still many things she didn't know about Ivan, she had just joined him after all. She gave a huff, and was startled suddenly at the sound of something that sounded like a war cry.
She was on her feet in seconds, a small growl erupting from her throat at the thought of someone harming Ivan getting attacked while his back was turned. But her ears raised an relaxed when it seemed that the charging person had stopped, even calling her trainer by name. She still hadn't been spotted, and unless she was needed, she'd keep it that way.
Meanwhile, Ivan had heard the cry himself, turning, he still couldn't see who was out to assault him. He raised his arms in defense, refusing to get hit in the face by whatever was incoming. But when he heard a confused, familiar voice, he lowered his arms. He stared back at Tanya rather innocently when she mentioned that this was her garden... damn, of all gardens, he had to end up here? In his unstable state, Tanya had been the last person he had wanted to see him today.
"Oh...Tanya? I'm er..sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going, and I guess I kind of ended up here." He admitted, kind of reminding himself what a crap excuse that probably sounded like. He sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, a small half-smile was what he could manage as he tried to laugh off the dumb excuse. He thankfully stopped himself though, fake smile eventually leaving him. He couldn't help the embarrassment that crossed him.
"This is your place? I can leave right away if you'd like. I didn't mean to trespass." He mentioned, motioning to her frying pan. He was really kind of glad she had figured out it was him before she had whacked him with that thing.

Tanya lowered the frying pan, her cheeks still bright from her embarrassment. She must have looked incredibly stupid charging out of her house like that. (Nice going, dummy. You made a fool out of yourself in front of Ivan.) She reluctantly pulled her gaze from the ground, looking up at him in time to catch his sheepish, halfhearted smile. No expert in reading emotions was she, but even Tanya noticed there was something off about it. As she watched, that smile quickly faded, reinforcing her feelings about something being wrong.
"No no! You don't have to go!" Tanya spluttered, looking shocked at his suggestion. He gestured with his hands, and the girl looked down, sighing as she twirled the pan by the handle. "I've been having, er... problems with the local kids making a mess of the flowers," Tanya said with a grimace. Hopefully he wouldn't think of her as some kind of mindless savage who ran around smacking people with frying pans just for horsing around on the property. (Pfft! He probably already thinks you're crazy for charging at him with that thing...)
She looked around, wondering why Meganium wasn't here scolding the pair of 'em; maybe something had scared her away. "Any chance I can get you to stay a while? There's no one home but me, so I've been kinda lonely..." Tanya trailed off, looking a little flustered. It was rather selfish of her to even ask, but her yearning to have some company was too strong to ignore. And Ivan didn't really seem like his usual self, and it wasn't her nature to send someone away like that. Tanya gestured to the bench in the garden that was nestled up against a few bushes.
"What brings you up to Azalea anyways? There's not much but trees and bugs out here," she said in a light tone, hoping to perk him up slightly. He'd helped her out when she hadn't been at her best; time to return the favour. Her green eyes were steady on him, cheeks slowly regaining their usual olive tone. But if Ivan tried to be evasive with his answers, Tanya would find a way to get him to open up... not that she was going to be rude about it, of course.

Sure, charging at someone with a frying pan wasn't very common, he kind of understood why she'd be so defensive. And that was probably the only reachable weapon at the time. When she asked him not to go, he was genuinely surprised at how needing it sounded. Was she lonely? He decided not to question it but instead listened to her explanation for her surprise attack.
"Well I can see where that would get annoying...but I wouldn't go clobbering kids with...er..common kitchen items..." He mentioned, pointing to the frying pan with a half-amused look on his face. He shivered a bit as he felt eyes on his back, but when he turned there was no one there. Of course it had been Diva, but she was keeping herself hidden well enough. When asked if he could stay a while, Ivan gave a nod, and followed Tanya to the bench that she had motioned to, taking a seat.
"Well, I just met with my cousin, today was a day where she wanted to see me...it's kind of an important day in my family." He mentioned in a vauge way, avoiding her eyes as he spoke of it. He didn't need to involve Tanya in his personal problems. He smiled slightly though. "My cousin is quite a card though. She's got a really big heart. But I don't see her often. She's a Pokemon trainer too." He mentioned with a slight sigh. He really did miss his siblings sometimes, and seeing Sandy was a rare thing, but this was the life of a trainer.
"This is a nice cottage. Beautiful garden." It was almost as pretty as other things he could think of. Shaking the thought, he looked back at her. "Is this a holiday house?" He questioned softly.

Tanya instantly flushed at the comment of clobbering kids, but it wasn't out of anger. Despite that, her voice had a slightly defensive edge when she spoke. "I wasn't going to actually hit them... thought maybe if I ran after them with it, they'd learn to stay away," she said morosely. Not like she had any Pokemon less hostile than Starscream but not as nice as Saphira to instill a healthy dose of fear. She would have to talk to Sable about it, as the flowers were what kept Meganium happy.
Sitting down on the bench, Tanya set the frying pan on her lap, unwilling to drop it on the ground; she'd get chewed out by Sable for getting it dirty. The red-head narrowed her eyes when it was clear Ivan was avoiding looking at her; oh yeah, like she was going to let that slide. It was quite clear something was bothering him now, and Tanya didn't feel right letting him go wandering off in such a state. "It's nice to visit family sometimes... pity most of my cousins live in different regions," she said in a slightly envious tone.
Her interest was perked when Ivan mentioned this cousin being a trainer as well. "Sounds like a sweet girl." There was no missing the wistfulness in his voice; choosing to be trainer could be very lonely sometimes. It was what made her grateful for the company of her Pokémon, and what made her appreciate human company when she had it. And after all they'd been through, she quite liked Ivan's company too. More than she'd let on.
"Are you really alright Ivan?" Tanya said rather bluntly, deciding to go right for the heart of the issue. "I'm not trying to be nosy or anything, but you seem a bit... off. And I don't like when my friends are troubled," she added, her voice less terse and more concerned. She leaned to the side to try and catch his eyes, messy hair swinging off her shoulders from the action. Meganium would've been a nice help with her Aromatherapy, the move having the power to cheer up even the gloomiest of moods. Looking around the garden, Tanya snorted softly at the question. "Nah, my parents own it, but they let a friend of mine stay in it, and they extended me that same courtesy if I'm in the area."

It hadn't seemed like it the way she had come at him. In fact, it had been kind of scary. But he wasn't looking for a fight with Tanya, so instead he nudged her playfully, as if to say 'Yeah Right." He sighed when she mentioned her cousins living in different regions.
"Yeah, it's been like that for a long time with my family too. Even when we were little, she and her brother lived in Hoenn. She moved to Johto recently, and I came here because as far as I know, a lot of the great minds of the medical field have come from Johto. Otherwise I probably would have started in Unova." He mentioned. But he was glad he didn't. He was having a lot more fun in Johto, and he'd pick it over his home region which he knew so well any day.
"Yeah, she's pretty sweet." She had given him all six of his first Pokemon plus Diva after all. It wasn't like she hadn't wanted them. It was just that she felt they'd be better off traveling than sitting in a lab and as she said, she could think of no better person but him to train the Pokemon at the lab that wanted to venture out into the world the most. Of course he felt bad, because some of those Pokemon ended up back in the lab anyway, but it was something he couldn't help now. When she asked if he was okay, he knew he was showing too much emotion.
"Huh? Yeah, fine. Just have...a headache, that's all." He mentioned, managing a half smile in response to her, looking up to show her. He gave her a gentle look. "Thanks for worrying though." There was no way he was going to make her go through the motions of his issues. He leaned back and listened when she told him about the cottage and nodded. "Well that's fair enough. What have you been up to lately?" He asked, genuinely curious but also partially veering her away from an earlier topic.

Tanya smiled wistfully as he spoke of his cousin and her family. The physical distance with her extended family was vast enough that her immediate family rarely saw any of them, aside from occasional vacations. It sucked, but given her path as a trainer now, maybe such a thing wasn't all bad. "Well, I'm glad you decided to come to Johto instead of exploring Unova. You're a great friend, and I'm glad I met you ~" Tanya said, winking playfully at him. Despite his clear intentions of avoiding whatever was bothering him, she was determined to find a way to coax it out. Being stubborn was something the flame-haired girl was very, very good at.
She didn't buy his headache excuse for a single second. (There's no use shying away from this, Ivan. I'll get you to talk...) But as he directed the conversation back to her, Tanya bit her lip in a rather pensive manner as she sorted out her thoughts. "Well... I wish I had some amazing, fantastic story to tell you, but there isn't much to say," Tanya admitted with a sigh. "If I'm not training my team, I usually just come back here for some down time. Boring, right?" Another snort, accompanied by an eye roll. Until she could get her team strong enough to head off to Ecruteak, training was all that was on the menu.
Turning towards him again, her smile turned rather sly. "What about you, mm? How have things been for /you/?" she inquired, hoping to get him to spill the beans. Not that she expected it to be this easy. Her expression softened somewhat, the sneaky smile replaced by a look of gentle concern. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right Ivan? I'm not going to push you on this, but I just want you to know I'm here for you," Tanya said, her tone light. Perhaps now she could finally return the favour after all the help he'd given her during all their prior encounters.

And the only solution was to stand and fight Blinking as she declared that she was glad to have met him, Ivan blinked slowly. It seemed to take him a moment but he finally registered what she was saying and smiled slightly. "Thank you. I couldn't have ever expected to make better friends that you in Unova either." He explained the small smile, and possibly one of the only ones today, still present. For some reason, Ivan found he often couldn't frown for too long around Tanya.
Ivan looked down at her while she spoke. There was nothing too boring about what she was saying. Ivan respected the fact that she was always keeping up on her training, and how she had already far surpassed him in badges, things like that. He might have started late, but at the same time he had plenty of time he could have been using to catch up. Instead he had his nose buried in medical books. Maybe it was not as lousy of a reason to avoid training, but he still felt bad about it. He was getting there just...slowly but surely.
"Well, it's good that you're so serious about training. Too much idle time is bad for Pokemon, especially the ones that have some kind of heated or chilled core located within their bodies." Yes, he sounded like one of the biggest nerds on the planet. But it was just Ivan, as passionate about his medical studies as ever.
When she again asked him what was wrong, he shifted a bit warily, his hands finding their way into his lap. He didn't want to answer that question any more than he had the first time. Clearing his throat, he moved to grasp one of her hands in both of his. "Tanya. Thank you for being concerned for me and my well being. But I'm okay I'm just.." He cleared his throat. "Not being very fair to you, acting the way I've been since I got here." Gently, he would let go of the hand he held to stand up. "I'm just missing someone." Perhaps it was a slip, and mayhaps he had already said too much. But as he stopped to look over at a bush of lush green, it didn't seem like he even noticed.

Tanya's expression mirrored his own as a real smile finally emerged. Clearly she was doing something right, despite his evasiveness. It warmed her considerably that Ivan considered her a friend; her reputation in Blackthorn made other kids wary, as if being associated with her labeled them as troublemakers too. Phooey on them, then. She was having the time of her life being a trainer. Shaking her head slightly, Tanya focused on what Ivan was saying to her about keeping her Pokémon active.
"It's mostly to keep a few of them out of trouble. Like Starscream," she murmured. The ill-tempered Skarmory was a lot less irascible when he'd worked out his anger through battles. Her thoughts scattered as he shifted uncomfortably in response to her questions, leaving Tanya squirming internally. Perhaps she was being too pushy trying to coax an answer out of him. Guilt had her gaze dropping to her lap, only for her glance back up in startled confusion when Ivan grasped one of her hands.
(Well, we're getting somewhere... I think.) Placing the frying pan on the bench, Tanya rose to her feet as well, but didn't move to follow Ivan as he looked out over the verdant garden. "Ivan, I..." she started to say, stopping. What would saying 'I'm sorry' really achieve? Looking uncertain, Tanya shifted closer to him, reaching out to gently touch his arm. "Is there anything I can do to help?" she asked in a quiet voice, wishing fervently that Meganium hadn't chosen to hide today of all days.

And the only solution was to stand and fight Ivan continued to look out at the rest of the garden. His eyes for a moment seemed somber, the light in them displaced by a certain level of sorrow. He really wanted to forget about it right now. Forget about the pain that was making his heart heavy. And it seemed like he was bringing down Tanya too. It hadn't really been what he wanted to do, but it seemed like he was only messing things up.
She asked him if she could do anything to help him, and he opened his mouth to say something, but closed again for a moment. "Tanya, I..." Ivan sighed, but he didn't get to finish his sentence, because something flew over the fence at the moment. Dropping on large orange paws, Diva quickly turned and tucked her head under Ivan's chin, letting out a happy trill as he reached up to scratch her ears.
He blinked "How long have you been hiding in there? You know you've probably been scaring the wildlife." He chided, but she only barked. "Tanya." He turned back to the girl. "This is Diva, my Arcanine. I don't think you've met her yet. Diva, say hi." Diva turned back to look at Tanya, her tail wagging and letting out a bark as she walked over, giving the red-head a sniff. Diva was never usually this social, but she was trying to be more energetic for Ivan's sake.

It was hard, trying to figure out what to say, and what to do. So far it seemed all she'd done was make him more upset than before. "Okay, shoot, let me try this again," Tanya said after a moment, walking round to Ivan's side to look at him. Removing her hand, she blew out a long sigh and raked it through her hair, looking distressed. "I'm just... I don't know, a novice at this whole friends thing. I'm sorry if I came across too pushy," the girl said after a moment, green eyes contrite.
"I want to help but I'm doing a really shoddy job so far." Closing her eyes, Tanya tried to think of what to say next, but the sound of something very large dropping down nearby scattered her thoughts and had her eyes snapping open. Seeing the Arcanine bound over to Ivan was a strange surprise, but it brought with it a sudden clarity - this was the reason why Hyacinth wasn't with them in the garden. Though a sweet, caring soul, the Meganium was very shy when it came to Fire types; Tanya couldn't really blame her if Hyacinth wanted to hide.
As Diva came over to sniff her, Tanya held out her hand with a small smile. "Aren't you a pretty Arcanine?" she cooed, looking a little more relaxed. Looking back at Ivan, it was clear she wanted to continue their prior conversation, but another interruption had a puzzled look appearing on her face. A sweet smell was slowly wafting through the garden, growing steadily more intense by the second. It was meant to be relaxing, but Tanya grimaced before sneezing a few times.
For some reason, Hyacinth's Aromatherapy had always set off her allergies, which majorly sucked. Perhaps Ivan would feel the intended effects, meant to soothe and lift one's spirits. "I'm really sorry Ivan. About being a bad friend and... whatever Hyacinth is trying to do. Sneaky Meganium..." Tanya muttered, casting a dark look round the garden while rubbing at her watering eyes. She couldn't even give him a hug for fear of sneezing all over him, and that was the last thing he needed.

And the only solution was to stand and fight
His Arcanine seemed rather pleased with the girl and the fact that she seemed impressed at the very least with her appearance. Well, that was how she took it anyway, and she pressed her muzzle into the females hand, letting out a gentle trill. She hadn't actually seen any of Ivan's friends before, but this girl was sure nice indeed. She looked over at Ivan, a bit distanced as he seemed sort of far away.
When the sweet scent wafted through the air, Ivan became aware of it, and Diva noticed an immediate change in his tense, on the edge posture. He seemed...a little better. But When Tanya called herself a bad friend, Ivan turned. "You aren't a bad friend. You're one of the best I have. I just..." Having heard her sneezing before, he figured it might have sounded a little congested, but he was so high on his own pathetic fear right now, she could have sniffled and he might have thought she was dying.
Walking a little closer to her, he cleared his throat. "Hold still." Diva watched as Ivan moved to place his hands on Tanya's shoulders, where he would then proceed to touch his forehead to hers. There was a brief silence with him, though his Maroon-colored eyes seemed focused. "....It doesn't seem like you're any warmer than I am." Despite saying that, he didn't move from where he was. The move the Meganium had used seemed to be going to his head, or so he thought at least. "...." In the next few moments his eyes closed, still he would be resting his forehead against Tanya's. "It's..." He let his hands slide partway down her shoulders before he pulled back, glancing back to the garden. Diva flicked an ear, for she had never seen him check for a Fever in quite this way.
"Tammy. I've been thinking a lot about today." He explained, though he was sure it had been the Aromatherapy. "It's her birthday, but you know, she's never excited about it, because of...what happened." He remembered on the Ferris wheel, telling Tanya that his mother had died in childbirth, but he trailed off with a hard lump in his throat after that.

Despite her wretched state, she managed a faint smile when he refuted her claim of being a bad friend. But to hear he considered her one of his best friends, well... that just warmed her immensely. Maybe she wasn't making a totally colossal mess of things. Tanya sniffled as Hyacinth's therapeutic aroma continued to linger in the air, wishing it would stop aggravating her allergies, although it did seem to be improving Ivan's mood somewhat. Perhaps the real reason the Grass-type was hiding was to avoid getting a scolding, and not just because of Diva's presence.
Tanya jumped slightly as Ivan's hands landed on her shoulders, wrenching her out of her thoughts. "I-Ivan?" she asked nervously, unsure of what exactly he was doing. He said nothing, instead leaning forwards until their heads touched. (Whatever you do girl, just don't sneeze...) The close contact had a blush stealing across her face, and for once she was at a complete and utter loss for words. But as Ivan remarked about her temperature, his actions finally made a bit more sense.
Of course it didn't quite explain why he kept up the contact for a few moments after his assessment. When Ivan finally moved, Tanya couldn't quite squash a fleeting flicker of disappointment. He spoke of someone named Tammy... she'd met Tammy before. "Oh! Your sister.... what about her?" Tanya remarked, her voice a little unsteady. A sneeze nearly cut off his next words, but when the red head looked back up, her gaze was solemn. "I can't imagine how... hard that must be. On all of you," she said with a sniffle.
"But... maybe you can find a way to celebrate both your mother and Tammy. Cherish what once was, and what came because of that." Tanya paused as another sneeze threatened her, but thankfully the sensation passed. "I don't know what it's like to have siblings, and I probably never will, but Tammy ought to know that her big brothers will always be there for her. Through good times and bad," she finished. Impulsively, Tanya stepped forwards and pulled him into the hug she'd wanted to give him before, despite her bout of sniffles. "And don't you forget you've got friends who'll be there for you, too."

And the only solution was to stand and fight
"It's a little hard on both Reever and myself," He started, clearing his throat. "To believe what we did, Tanya." He mentioned, guilt flashing among the hues of his eyes. "We blamed her for the longest time. Longer than I can really remember." He took in a deep breath. "Mom..died because she didn't have the strength to make it through. Not because Tammy had killed her." He closed his eyes, breathing still a little shallow. "And the horrible things we said when we were children. Sometimes I can't imagine what would have happened if she remembered any of what we said, and I'm glad we were born so far apart." It was indeed guilt that had claimed his thoughts for so many years on this day.
He might not have stopped, if it had't been for Tanya, who started talking not too long after. Ivan stood there a little bit...perplexed. Other than what he had told her, Tanya didn't have much insight on his personal life. And he could tell by the slightly careful tone, that she knew that too. But lately, it had been something about Tanya, anything about Tanya that would cause his heart rate to move faster than he would have liked it too. Something about her in these past months that had changed his outlook on her. She wasn't something normal to him anymore. Not some acquaintance. He didn't know why, but sometimes, the increased heart rate made him both comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time.
"I..." He stopped as she hugged him, and standing together with her like this made his face flush. Her words were possibly the only thing he had needed to hear right now. And if she said nothing else, it wouldn't have mattered. Because his muggy outlook had cleared, even if just a bit. As Diva strolled over towards the patches of flowers, he looked down at her. "Tanya."
The normally thoughtful doctor, didn't seem to have his senses about him, for he all of a sudden leaned all the way down, in order to kiss her gently. Maybe it had only been a few moments before he would realize what he was doing and pull back. "I...sorry. I didn't..." he fell silent. He swore to himself he wasn't sure what he had just tried to do, but he was sure that it was probably wrong.
