Fleurette does not carry many of the traditional features of a French woman; this does not mean that Fleur is not beautiful, though. Her hair is a golden brown that imitates the rays of the sun even in the darkest of hours. As she ages, Fleur's hair tends to continue to lighten. In especially sunny cities, the natural highlights are brought out from her individual strands of hair, making it look even more blonde. It is very long and reaches the small of her back. She plans on continuing to grow it out until it reaches her butt, at which point she will cut off around 10 inches and donate it. There is some slight wave to her long locks, but she often straightens it. Some short bangs lay on Fleur's forehead, framing her face.
Fleur is very kind and well-meaning. She is always willing to help others no matter the circumstances. However, this unusually strong kindness brings her to often overstep her boundaries on accident, occasionally causing discomfort to those around her. Personal space is not something she understands quite yet, and will easily and without hesitation grab peoples' arms and place her hands on them in a friendly fashion. She tries to make many friends, as social interaction is one of her favorite things, and it combats her darker side. Fleur was borne to a lovely young couple in Laverre City. The young couple, Luc and Rachelle Mercier, already had a child, a son of 2. His name was Eric. He was the first one to hold Fleur as a baby besides her parents. Fleur was a very fussy baby, colic and could never sleep through the night unless her brother slept in the room with her. Eric and Fleur became incredibly close as the two grew older. They did everything together: eating, sleeping, playing in the mud... Rachelle, Fleur's mother, was a trainer at the Laverre City gym, under the instruction of Valerie. She specialized in the fairy type, and her prized Pokemon was her Florges that she raised from an egg. Luc, Fleur's father, worked with Professor Sycamore in Lumiose City in the Pokemon Lab. When Fleur and Eric were still little, they often made trips back and forth to visit the Pokemon Lab and play with the Pokemon that resided there. Their affinity for Pokemon was fed from a young age, and the two siblings always knew that they wanted to become Pokemon Trainers.
Eric received his first Pokemon at the age of 10. He chose a Charmander as his starter. Fleur cried as she watched her brother leave to go on his Pokemon journey. She sat at home all day, lonely and sad in her room. For two years, her brother never returned to visit the family. Fleur began to blame his absence on her, telling herself that she was never a good enough sister and he never cared for her at all. These thoughts only got worse and worse as Fleur continued to isolate herself from those around her. About a week before her 10th birthday, the day that Fleur would receive her first Pokemon, Eric returned home, older and stronger than before. With him came a new arsenal of Pokemon, all fully-evolved Dragon types. Fleur was so excited to see his Pokemon that Eric released them all to show her. With him were a Garchomp, Hydreigon, Dragonite, Salamance, and his starter, Charizard. He had grown to become a dragon type trainer, on his way to becoming a dragon master. Fleur was intrigued by all these Pokemon, especially Charizard. She approached him, hoping to be remembered from when they were younger. Charizard did not like her approach, however. He shot a flamethrower at her, and she was singed and burned. Thankfully, Rachelle was home and had her Gardevoir use Healing Pulse on Fleur to heal her burns, but Fleur was never the same around Pokemon after that. When Fleur confronted Eric about it, he blamed her for getting too close to his Pokemon and left in a huff, the bond between the two siblings breaking.
Because of her incident with her brother's Charizard, Fleur's parents decided to pull her out of the program to give her a Pokemon on her birthday. They wanted to protect her from a similar accident ever occurring. Fleur had to wait until she was 14 until her parents would let her visit her friends who had received Pokemon already. Staying apart from them for so long made Fleur incredibly clingy when she came back. By the time she turned 16, Fleur was ready to leave Kalos to get away from her parents controlling ways. She packed her bags and traveled to Hoenn to visit her cousin and find a way to get over her fear of Pokemon. She went with her cousin to explore the region and learn all about new Pokemon. Her journey with him soon came to a close following her 17 birthday, and now Fleur is ready to start over in the two regions that are hailed throughout history as where to start.
Goals:
Fleur's ultimate goal is to find a way to repair her relationship with her brother by discovering the secrets to Pokemon behavior and mending her relationship with his Charizard. Along the way, Fleur hopes to challenge the Pokemon League and become the next champion and getting an understand for all of the different aspects of the world of Pokemon.

Her large, blue eyes are completely captivating. The two orbs are round and slightly upturned in terms of shape. The blue seems as if it was taken from the waters of the Caribbean and placed into her iris. Long, dark eyelashes frame the sparkling blue orbs and give her a very alluring look. Fleur applies mascara and some slate grey eyeliner to help her eyes look even larger, as well as a pale pink upon her pearlique lips. Fleur is rather short at only 5' 3". Her figure is very womanly, with curves in the right places. Her legs are longer than her torso and reflect her athletic side, as they are slim yet muscular. Because she is rather short, Fleur has hands meant for children and feet that could fit child shoes. She normally dresses in fancy dresses and skirts, covered in ruffles or floral prints, due to her girly nature and her cultural heritage, paired with ballet flats or a pair of heels on special occasions.
