As Rhoan kicked the stone out of her way it produced a small thud. Rhoan did not seem to take notice that such a small noise could have attracted something but somehow it did. A Pokemon had been sleeping in a bush near where it landed. The Pokemon yawned as it woke to see what had disturbed it's slumber only to notice Rhoan walking away heading towards Azalea Town. As the young Pokemon thought it was rude to have been awakened by the trainer it followed in her footsteps to make sure Rhoan would not notice that she had picked up a stalker. The Pokemon made sure it did not make any goof ups as if this was a good trainer the last thing it needed was a fight. As the little Pokemon got bored or following Rhoan it looked for a way it could get revenge on her for disturbing it's slumber. The young Pokemon noticed a few bushes up ahead and decided to use one of them as the area to get back at Rhoan. It ran for one of the bushes while kicking a rock over at the other one to try and trick Rhoan. The plan fell apart however when a sleeping Poochyena ran over and bit the Pokemon responsible for kicking the rock into the bush it was sleeping in. As the little purple Pokemon screamed out in pain in revealed itself to be a male Nidoran. The poor Poison type already had a bad day and now that Rhoan had noticed it standing behind her a battle seemed likely. A lv15 Male Nidoran has appeared. Please select a Pokemon for battle.

The newest addition to their battle roster proved interesting, to say the least. She knew of these Pokemon back from where she was from, and she had to be careful. These Pokemon were poison, and it was something she felt like dealing with.
"Tyrana, come on out."
It was rare when Tyrana was called, especially when it came to silly training battles such as these. But, she wanted that Pokemon, and Tyrana knew enough about self control to get it.
"Dragon Rage. I want this Pokemon alive, and captured, so please deliver it to me."
Rhoan watched as the firey lizard nodded and glanced over at the Nidoran, narrowing it's eyes. For whatever reason, Rhoan wanted it, so she'd get it.

Getting over the pain of the Poochyena biting in to it,the male Nidoran saw no reason to hide itself no more. Stepping out into the open having been spotted, the Pokemon looked up and down at Rhoan's daunting person before steeling its eyes with an indomitable gaze. This would have been somewhat threatening save for the fact its expression seemed to be hinting at something else. Letting out a small yawn having still been tired from being rudely awoken by Rhoan's trespass, the infant mammal was either stupendously thick to do so or had some courageous guts. As its mouth closed from having let out some of the tiredness from its system, the Pokemon took a defiant stance and scraped its fore leg against the ground resuming the confident stare it had exhibited earlier. First it would take care of this noisy trainer and then it'd hunt down that annoying little Poochyena. Typical behaviour for those flea bitten mongrels forgoing sneak attacks such as that. Wrapping itself in its delusions grandeur, the Pokemon faltered in its stoic visage as it noticed Rhoan spoke out, summoning her champion for battle. As the fiery salamander was called forth, the Nidoran could be heard audibly gulping as it took in the frightful appearance of Rhoan's Charmeleon. Most species of such a Pokemon usually looked quite moody and intimidating but Tyrana was something else. Having been hardened up by Rhoan's discipline and ways, there were few and far between who could match Tyrana's traits. Her tail burning brightly at the promise of battle, the Nidoran had half a mind to flee in terror. For some reason, whether it be frozen in fear or the possibility this Pokemon might have had some actual guts, it remained still. As Tyrana acknowledged the order, she stomped forward. The move she had been commanded was a particularly devastating move which few could stand up to. As she began concentrating to coax forth the sheer power the move required, the Nidoran could already tell something was up. Suddenly exploding with a surge of light, the Pokemon was engulfed in a tremendous aura, her eyes now glowing an eerie brightness about them. Opening her mouth, the very light of the sun appeared to be absorbed into the centre of herm aw, leaving the world around them in a distinct eerie shade. As the energy appeared to conjure up into an orb of chaotic shimmering, the Nidoran flinched its eyes at the overwhelming sight. Having prepared enough, Tyrana let out a deafening roar as the summoned attack was sent forward, the orb now breaking and breathing forward in a flurry of flames. To any bystander, it looked almost as if the flames had taken upon themselves the very image of a terrifying dragon at the point as they streamed towards the Nidoran. Comparing the little nip on its rear by the Poochyena to this, it was obvious which the Pokemon would have rather endured. Letting out pained shrieks, the Pokemon could do little to withstand the raging onslaught. Its very skin burning searingly without any hope of a saviour, the Pokemon could be barely be seen hopping back and forth to try and put out the unusual fires through the midst of it all. Having finished her move, Tyrana appeared to be taking in the sight of her attack. As Rhoan had expected, she had enough control over her powers to have delivered a calculated blow. As the raging fires began to die down, the Nidoran could be seen collapsed on the floor, its right foreleg just barely propping up its body. Struggling to keep itself in the game, the Nidoran let out a meek shriek as it attempted to muster enough resilience to shut out the pain it had suffered. Its left eye shut tight as it clenched its expression to try and get up, the Pokemon somehow managed. Staggering from side to side, the Pokemon displayed impressive stamina to have the ability to continue its side of the round. Stepping forward with a tremble, the Pokemon flowed into a motion of steps before picking up a faster pace. Now tackling forwards, the Pokemon made a surprising move by jumping into the air and rotating its body just enough to focus its hind legs downwards on Tyrana. Letting out a grunt, the Charmeleon attempted to brace herself but the Nidoran had a thing or two about battling to show off. Namely its talented feet. Stomping down once and a second time with a downwards kick, the Pokemon demonstrated an exemplary double kick that had even Tyrana skid backwards as she tried to resist the attack with little avail. It may have been on death's doorstep but it still had fighting spirit. Wild Battle

As Tyrana took her place on the battlefield, Rhoan stood silently, watching the Pokemon with a slight sense of awe. The fire on Tyrana's tail burned bright, and a slight breeze merely fed the tail's glow. However, it also ruffled Rhoan's hair and revealed her true nature. Her gruesome scarred face was exposed, but only the Nidoran would see it at this point. The Magmar and Tyrana had something in common, even if it was only their tails. However, the situations were entirely different. Rhoan wasn't afraid of Tyrana, nor her fire. What the prior situation lacked was control, and Rhoan had it currently. She exercised control in every aspect of her life that she could. Watching these battles, sure, they weren't as taxing as physically grappling a Pokemon, but her Pokemon were a direct extension of her will and ambition, as she couldn't fight everything head on.
The Pokemon Rhoan chose did more than just battle; they reflected her personality, and her goals. Tyrana was the straight up aggression. When Rhoan needed something done, she preferred to do it herself. Hence, Tyrana. The Nidoran would not be a worthy opponent, and both Tyrana and Rhoan knew that. Instead, the lizard was being used for another thing. Control. Controlling the tides of battle was key to getting what you wanted, so Rhoan decided it best to defeat the Nidoran quickly, capture it and establish her pecking order early. Controlling her Pokemon, and having them understand their role in the grand design was paramount. Tyrana would help with that.
The stunning display of power Tyrana exerted was enough to even impress Rhoan. She didn't get her kicks being a gruff, cold gal that she was; it was just who she was. So, of course, impressing her was quite the feat. Granted, it could have been optional flash. Either way, Rhoan didn't care how it got done, she just wanted the results. Tyrana gave them. When the Nidoran attempted to fight back, it dealt a decent amount of damage for something so small, but Tyrana looked over her shoulder to assure Rhoan that no foul play was needed. Rhoan returned her nod, fixing her hair back in place to cover up her scar. Tyrana's fortitude was worth noting.
However, it took Gyarados-sized balls to tangle with Tyrana. The Nidoran had survived the dragon's attack, and that was enough for Rhoan. Then, the Nidoran retaliated back at the fire type? Worth special mention and training. Perhaps she'd found a diamond in the rough for sure. "Step aside, Tyrana. Let's catch this and be on our way." She grunted, grabbing a Pokeball from the bag at her hip. Her finger clicked the ball in the middle, and it grew in size to fit the contours of her hand. However, it wouldn't stay there long. Instead, she cast the pokeball at the Nidoran, watching it soar towards her newest target. It made her miss the old days. Give her a tranquilizer gun, a net, and a target anytime. But, this would have to do.

The Nidoran had retaliated rather impressive but the strong Dragon Rage had taken its toll on it. While its leap and stomping had been perfect, its landing was quite the opposite. Its frontlegs collapsed under it and it rolled around on the ground, while Tyrana simply looked back at her trainer. It struggled to get back up, while it fought the shock the pain threatened to send it into, since that would surely end with its death! It knew it needed to stay away and alert, to have any chances in the next round and the next terrible painful attack from the charmeleon... It shook its head to keep that thought from its mind, along with the fear for the pain and how small those chances were. Had it known it would have ended like this, it would never have followed that trainer! It blamed the pochyeena once again for all its trouble and finaly on its feet, ready to yet another round mostly because it had no way of running away.It fixed a determinded glare at Tyrana, not ready to give up no matter how slight a chance it had to do any real damage. With its eyes fixed on the fire-lizard it completely missed the well-thrown pokeball, which had no way of missing as there wasn't a big difference between casting a ball and a net. Could she figure out to aim with one, she could aim with another and Nidoran gave a surprised shriek when something unexpected hit it on its back. It spun around as it was sucked into the pokeball, which landed on the ground with a heavy thud. It shook violently as the nidoran fought fiercly with the device. This wasn't the revenge it had planned! A clear "ding" sounded in the otherwise quiet area since the hail forced most creatures to find shelter. As the pokeball was silent too, the only thing heard was the poundering of the small iceballs. Rhoan watched as the ball wriggled to a halt, trapping the Pokemon inside. Fire streamed from the sides of Tyrana's mouth with her glee. Another tail to step on, perhaps? Rhoan reached forward and picked up the ball, and then opened it up, revealing the Nidoran they'd captured.
"Listen here, alright? We're going to get one thing straight. I'm the one that gives the orders around here. And you're the one that listens to them. Assuming we follow that, we'll get along just fine."
All of this was a lot for the poor Pokemon to take in at once, so Rhoan just snorted and returned the Nidoran, sending it to her box for now. She'd work with him later. For now, there was a Gym badge to win soon. Tyrana was ready, as was the rest of her team, for the most part. Not everyone would be able to battle anyways. The sooner they finished this, the better.
"C'mon. Let's go."
