Traversing all the way from the depths of Azalea to the place where her journey first started, Catherine stood in the heart of Route 29 with a huge smiled plastered on her face. "Walking all the way back here made me realise just how far it is that I have travelled! I wonder where Chuck is right around now?" Having not met her criminal mastermind friend in quite some time, it caused Atlas to shudder. The Pansage didn't want to meet him because with him would likely be his fire wielding brother, Prometheus. He had never been able to stand up to his brother and even now, with what little confidence he had gained, still wouldn't be able to stand up to the Pansear. "I'm sure both Chuck and Pro are doing great!" Grinning with glee, she continued her progression along the route, only being in the company of Atlas on this day. "This is where I first started my journey! But I guess you wouldn't know, I met you a little while after this place." Remembering that it was thanks to the Unova festival that Catherine was able to meet her friend, she was glad she had decided to stop by all that time ago.
"Back then, I was in such a rush to move ahead, that I didn't spend much time here." Trailing off, she looked around the area, considering that she may have missed out on a lot of the local wildlife. In the air above her, she momentarily watched a flock of Pidgey glide past, instantly reminding her of her battle against Falkner. "Maybe I can finally catch a Pidgey like I promised. But then, I guess Cormag would get jealous, so that isn't the best idea, huh?" Turning the opposite way, she followed the path until she was at a bit more of a central location. Looking around from left to right, the true reason she had jumped back was to investigate these apparent reports of Flying Pikachu. Even if it was just a glimpse, it was a sight she wanted to see. It wasn't everyday that you would hear a group of Pikachu hijacking balloons and then escaping with them. The whole scenario just sounded extremely bizarre.
"Let's see what sorta Pokemon hang around here then, okay?" She reminded Atlas with a nod of her head, "It's not as if we're in a rush to get anywhere, so let's take our time, okay?" Her eyes closing, she gave the bag on her belt a firm pat, "I even brought Aria along today and King! The Wooper I got from Chuck! I am one hundred percent sure they will help us." For now though, they simply had to wait for an encounter to come to them.

With the cold wind rolling in, Pokemon were already annoyed as it was. Add the fact that New Bark was the jumping point for many trainers and the newest Pikachu craze sweeping the region, the Pokemon were quite irate. Many of them hid, as if to strike battles all together. Others only wandered when they knew trainers wouldn't be out. Some even made sure they'd grown stronger, and then came back to pick on the older, more stronger trainers that had come with their strong Pokemon. The Route seemed to be in chaos, and all because of a few balloons and electric Pokemon. The entire reason Catherine had wandered over was to find one of the adorable Pokemon, but none were in sight as of right now. Instead, something was watching her. She may have had a few Pokemon on her team, but the narrowed eyes that could have burned holes into the back of her shoulders didn't care. Spearow clicked it's beak in annoyance. Just another trainer here to stomp around and find a rare Pokemon. The bird almost wanted to go find one of the ballooned rats and bring it to her itself, if that's what it took to make all of the trainers go away. It had stuff it needed to be doing! Winter was almost here, and it was already tough enough gathering food on the ground without trainers approaching from every direction. Flying down meant that it'd expose itself, and possibly end up in a battle. After that, it'd end up fainted. Why would experienced trainers need a Pokemon like Spearow? The bird's belly rolled with hunger, and Spearow finally took it upon itself to fly down and forrage. Doing it's best to stay quiet, it tried to find any food that hadn't already been picked up by some other Pokemon. However, as it moved, it stepped on a twig, alerting everything around it to it's presence. Instaed of being preyed upon, Spearow would prefer to go out fighting. So, as it stared at Catherine, it ruffled it's feathers and let out a cry that was meant to intimidate. However, being so small and young, it probably didn't come off that way. Either way, the gauntlet had been dropped. Wild Spearow (Level 7) has issued a challenge! Will you Fight or Flee?

As Catherine stepped across the familiar route, it didn't take too long to feel a piercing stare hit her back. Atlas had picked up on it some time ago, nervously looking around as it felt like something threatening was lurking close by. "Can you sense that, Atlas? I wonder whats up!" Unaware that the route was in enough chaos and that her presence had only added to the stress levels of the local wild life as they scavenged for winter food, Catherine continued to move. It wasn't until the aspiring nurse briefly passed by the stealthy Spearow that it stepped on a twig, causing Atlas' ears to perk up in defence. Looking toward the source of the noise, the monkey gave a soft chimp, pointing an arm past Catherine's face to divert her attention. Ruffling out it's feathers and releasing a mediocre cry, Catherine's emerald green eyes settled on the small Spearow. "Ooh look! A flying type!" She cried out with a bit more enthusiasm than necessary, causing her exclamation to sound almost sarcastic. "This one is all squawking and loud... Maybe it wants to battle!"
Trailing off, she pondered for a moment, unsure whether or not her team would be too overpowering for the small bird. "I wonder who I could... Ooh! Ooooh! I know!" Rummaging through her belongings, Catherine held one or two slightly lower levelled Pokemon for this brief trip. The one she was choosing for this particular battle being the third companion of her pink trio, a Clefairy. "Mama sent me Aria to look after! I wonder if she would like to try battling!" Throwing the Pokeball forward, a small, chunky pink Pokemon formed, her eyes slowly becoming used to the light before glancing around at her new surroundings. Before, she had been used to the delicate shading of Lacunosa in Unova but now, she was completely in the middle of lush greenery. "Aria!" Catherine called with glee, the Clefairy turning to the girl with a smile, watching as she crouched down to Aria's own level. "I'm gonna use you for this battle, okay? Get out there and do your best! I know Mama taught you a move or two to protect yourself, so let's atleast try!" Tilting her head to one side as the Clefairy appeared somewhat uncertain, she tried to urge further, "I heard you can't remember much. Amnesia or something. But don't worry, with us, I am sure you'll start to remember things!"
Leaving the Spearow merely standing there as Catherine tried to coax the stuttering Clefairy into attacking, there seemed to be one more presence that no others had picked up on. But there was certainly something glaring at the Spearow. Taking form of Aria's shadow was a Pokemon known as Gastly and right now, it was also confused with the new area they had been sent to. Sensing some hostility from the Spearow, the Gastly known as Morendo both loathed and loved Aria, the two holding a much closer relationship than it cared to admit. Not wanting to make itself fully known just yet, the eyes taunted at the Spearow once more before merging back into the shadow of the Clefairy. She now turning and none of the three suspecting a thing, it appeared that Aria was planning on atleast looking at her potential opponent. Holding onto her own hands, the pink Pokemon moved her weight from one foot to the other as she curiously looked over the bird. "Okay Aria, let's go in there and attack!" Actually unsure as to what moves her mother had taught the Pokemon, Aria didn't know anything about battling herself. A dark aura soon shifting over her, Morendo had grown tired of waiting and decided to take control of Aria himself. Infiltrating Aria's mind, he forced her to summon a Thunderbolt on the Spearow.
OOC: Gastly went up first, replaced with Clefairy and used Thunderbolt. Gastly basically acts as Clefairy's shadow and controls her in battle.

Spearow knew what it was getting into, but it didn't expect what happened next.
The trainer seemed nice enough, although she could have been slightly annoyed by all the sound Spearow was making. Her chosen Pokemon of combat seemed to need a little bit of extra coaxing, and Spearow ruffled it's feathers in annoyance. Sure, Spearow was loud, but at least it knew how and was willing to battle. That was more than it could say for the Clefai- Clef.. Clef... Spearow did a double take as it stared at the Clefairy for a few seconds. It was almost as if... something outside the body was staring at it!
Flicking within the shadows given off by the Clefairy, narrowed eyes stared across the field at Spearow. Immediately taken aback by the sight, Spearow began to back away a few paces, fumbling over it's legs and feathers. It's chest heaved with each panic'd breath, but the eyes never wavered. At this point, the Clefairy seemed to decide it would battle, turning around to face the terrified Spearow. However, when the Clefairy looked at Spearow, it was merely the Pokemon. The glaring eyes had vanished. Spearow stepped forward into it's original spot and gave Clefairy it's own pair of leering eyes.
When the trainer gave the command for a move it'd never heard of before, Spearow was skeptical. Not many weak, young Pokemon could handle those crazy sounding moves. But, if that thing were to come back... those hateful eyes... Perhaps the pink blob had a chance. As if thinking about it summoned the pair of evil orbits, an aura took over the Clefairy and summoned up crackling electricity. Terrified once more, Spearow scrambled to it's feet in an attempt to push off the ground and fly away. But, alas, it was stuck by the lightning and fainted. A better turn out than finding out what the glaring eyes were, for sure..
Wild Spearow - Level |7| Health: 0/24 Current Status: Did anyone else just see that?!
Successful Leer! No Attack
Catherine's Aria - Level | 10| Health: 37/37 Current Status: Bye Bye Birdie! -1 DefSuccessful Thunderbolt!
Aria shocked the competition, and has gained +2 Levels and +1 Happiness! Aria is now Level 12.
Morendo observed quietly and gained +2 Levels! Morendo is now Level 3. (+1 with Lucky Egg)

For some strange reason, the once loud Spearow was suddenly being strangely quiet and suspicious of what it had been put up against, it's eyes leering directly to the body of Aria. Being the only one to have picked up on Morendo's presence, alongside his threatening stare, it seemed to put the Spearow on edge, even making it cautious of attacking. By this point, Aria herself felt trapped in a dream like state as the Gastly took over her body and mind. Her own vision blurring and hearing faltering, her consciousness faded, being replaced with that of Morendo's. Back facing Catherine, the Clefairy's eyes changed completely. No longer was it a sweet, pink creature but it now bore a pair of unfitting, murderous eyes. "It's okay Aria, you can do this!" Catherine called out supportively, not realising what was going on right before her eyes. "Just do the first thing that comes to mind!" Almost snickering, Morendo had to hold himself back from reacting to her comment. If it were up to him, he would attack the trainer directly and then run away with Aria's body, maybe even forcing her to take a fate mush similar to his own. But still, something was holding him back from seeing it through. As if a fragment of his old, kinder self was fighting to destroy these negative feelings.
Flinching his eyes, Morendo tried not to get himself into too much of a confused state and instead focused on the Spearow. He had no idea as to why they were here but one thing was for sure, the Spearow was their enemy. He was certain. Ploughing through the recent memories of Aria, he picked up on something which she had been taught. A unique move indeed. Forcing her to raise her little hands, Morendo controlled the Clefairy to summon bolts of lightning which fried the body of the small Spearow. Destroying the one bit of evidence which now knew of his existence, he loosened his control as the female trainer began to voice off. "Woah! Aria! That was AWESOME!" Catherine giggled cheerfully as Aria slowly came to once again. Blinking her eyes, which were now back to their normal shape, the Clefairy shook her head in confusion. One moment, she was about to face a Spearow and the next, she was back and the Spearow had fainted. "So one of your moves is Thunderbolt, huh? That is really useful to know!" Skipping to the side of Aria, the aspiring nurse lent forward, only to see a deeply puzzled look stretched across the face of her Clefairy.
"Aww, lighten up! I knew you had it in ya! Atlas, go ahead, okay?" Hopping off of Catherine's shoulder, the Pansage crept cautiously toward the fainted Spearow before plucking a leaf from his own head and slipping it into it's beak before dashing off back to Catherine. "See? We'll heal Pokemon along the way! So don't feel guilty, okay?" Taking a few steps ahead, Catherine waved a hand to beckon Aria to follow, "Lemme know if you spot a Pikachu, okay?" Humming to herself cheerfully as she continued her search, Aria cautiously stepped behind Catherine. Her body feeling particularly chilly, as if something was breathing over her shoulder, Aria looked around fearfully. Just what was going on?

Whilst a bizarre swarm of flying Pikachu were in the area, it appeared the only flying variation that would be served up would be that of a Hoothoot. Nocturnal creatures by nature, it would be due to the sudden explosion of chaos of Catherine on the scene that this fluffy little owl would be disturbed and awoken from its day time slumber. Tucked away near the top of a nearby tree and hidden within the dense foliage of the tree, it would not spare the Pokemon. Blinking its large, red eyes, the Pokemon whirled them around confusedly as it let out a small yawn from its diminutive little beak. Having been disturbed by a sudden outburst of electricity and a small explosion, the Pokemon could very much feel the rise of static energy in the air. This increase made the Pokemon shudder somewhat as its feathers ruffled and stood on end almost. Having always been something of an inquisitive sort, the Hoothoot wobbled from side to side as it limbered up its body. It could tell from the rays of sunlight peering through the leaves of the tree that it was sleeping in, that it was not the time for it to go out and frolic about in the moonlight. Letting out a sigh out of nuisance, it tried to go back to sleep but it was impossible. Its sleep pattern now thoroughly disturbed, the Hoothoot puffed its chest up before deciding to go and investigate the commotion. Meanwhile, as Catherine shared her victory with her Pokemon, it appeared that someone else had taken note of Catherine's presence. With a hop, skip and jump. A humanoid lagomorph like creature appeared at the far end of the route. Holding proudly onto a basket full of eggs, this Pokemon was the fabled Easter Lopunny and was known to appear once a year to gift out special gifts to trainer's worthy of them. Given Catherine's natural ability to care and nurture her Pokemon, this made her a perfect candidate. Making short work of the distance between them, the Lopunny let out a small squeak as it drew her attention and plucked out a purple egg for her. The Easter Lopunny has arrived! She hands Catherine a murasaki egg! Store the Egg in your Party, PC Box or your Egg Incubator? Plopping out of the leaves, the Pokemon flapped its stubby wings as it did everything to keep itself airborne. Travelling along the route high above in the air, it didn't take too long before the Pokemon found the suspected source of all this noise. Seeing what appeared to be a young girl and two Pokemon, a Clefairy and a Lopunny, the Hoothoot leered its eyes, obviously picking up on energy and aura that most would be ignorant too. Letting out a small coo, it noticed the creepy shadow that was following the Clefairy. That couldn't be right. Lowering itself down, this busy body had to get to the bottom of this. Sounding off a shrill cry, the Lopunny was startled and bounded off, leaving Catherine to face the disgruntled Hoothoot. Encounter

With the small Aria plodding along by her ankle, Catherine took much smaller steps in order to walk beside the Clefairy. A bright smile apparent on her face, it truly was exciting for Catherine. Clefairy were known to come from the moon and that meant outer space, a place what somewhat spooked the aspiring nurse but also intrigued her. The rarity, cute appearance and it being a responsibility to look her given by her foster mother, so much about Aria made Catherine excitable. "Johto sure is pretty, huh? So much greenery! And the towns I have been to so far are pretty small too. Nothing like Unova!" Her words likely falling on deaf ears, Aria was far too busy looking around in fear. The air was completely still but every now and then, it would feel a chilling breeze, almost like breath, loom over her shoulder. This merely being Morendo teasing her, the still oblivious Aria continued to panic in worry. Picking up on Aria's nerves but still not the lurking Gastly, Atlas looked down to the Clefairy and was almost about to walk beside her in comfort, until something out of the ordinary happened.
Coming only once a year, the Easter Lopunny hopped her way over to a very surprised Catherine. Her emerald greens eyes staring at the golden coated rabbit. "W-WOAH!" She staggered out loud in surprise, "A Lopunny!! Hello Miss Lopunny!" Staring on at the ribbon adorned creature, she appeared to have a gift for the nurse. "Could today get any better?" She exclaimed excitedly as the Pokemon selected an Egg from the many in her basket. Unlike most trainers who would question this strange act of giving, for Catherine, she was so open minded that hardly anything fazed her. That or just incredibly ditzy. Accepting the egg delicately, the young nurse hold the egg close to her body, as if to keep it warm. "Thank you!" She giggled with glee, "I'll take good care of this egg, Lopunny! I wont let ya down!" Having looked after Cormag since finding his egg deep inside of Union Cave, Catherine was certainly not inexperienced when it came to egg hatching. This was the type of thing she wanted to do for the rest of her life, raising eggs and newly hatched Pokemon with tender love and care whilst also healing those who needed it. Travelling with an egg like this was a huge part of that dream.
Suddenly rustling it's way out of a flurry of leaves, everyone's attention was drawn to the Hoothoot, the Lopunny hopping off immediately in fear. Not even having a chance to bid it farewell, Catherine could only glance inbetween the fleeing rabbit and the wide eyed bird until finally settling on the wild Pokemon. "Little Hoothoot, you made us all jump!" She announced with a slightly shocked voice, "But that's okay, I bet you want a egg too, dontcha?" Probably realising that the creature was nocturnal and it was her own voice and actions that had awoken it, for now Catherine shrugged those thoughts off. There was no way it was her fault, it obviously just wanted to battle. "Aria!" Her voice called, the body of the Clefairy jumping in surprise, "You're up! Let's get down to business and show this Hoothoot one of your Thunderbolts!" Her hands poking awkwardly into one another, Morendo's presence overpowered her once again and moved the pink creature into attacking.
OOC: Morendo (Gastly) first, switched with Aria (Clefairy) and used Thunderbolt.

Hoothoot was rather angry that the Lopunny got away before it could get a chance to teach the bunny not to be such a pest but the wise owl could still teach Catherine no to be so loud as there were other nocturnal Pokemon on the route. Hoothoot was not very good at getting back to sleep in broad daylight so the owl was going to miss out on another night of sleep. This was the second night in a row after the previous day being awoken by a pack of flying Pikachu who had for one reason or another thought it would be a good idea to pop each other's balloons 20 feet off the ground frightening other Pokemon on the route and in Hoothoot's case keeping it up all day. Hoothoot was hoping the next day may go better but at least it would get a chance to speak it's mind this time around. As Hoothoot began to coo angrily at the young girl it's bravery turned to fear at the sight of a Gastly looking at it in a mischievous way that caused the owl to rethink wanting to pick a fight. To make matters worse the Clefairy near the young girl seemed pretty strong and if what the owl knew of Clefairy was true then this day might still get worse for the owl. The one good thing was that the Gastly had stood aside giving Hoothoot afree turn to try to turn this day around. Hoothoot was still young but it had a few tricks. Deciding to go the scary route the owl Growled at the Clefairy standing across from it with an evil sounding. The attack seemed to unnerve Aria a bit but she managed to pull herself together before sending Hoothoot a shocking surprise. Hoothoot never had a chance to avoid the Thunderbolt and the owl fell to the ground out cold. The owl had finally gotten the nap it wanted even if it was not the way it had hoped. Wild Pokemon Battle

Catherine was pretty much oblivious to the emotion of hate. There was no way that she was a perfect being, she was sure she had experienced the emotion atleast once in her life but since losing so much, she figured that such an emotion was unnecessary. There was no need for grudges, hate or an unforgiving attitude. Even if a Rocket were to appear and steal her Pokemon right from her, well, she would get upset in that situation but she would also know that there was a reason behind their actions and... forgive them. Of course the first thing she would do would be to dash in there, all ribbons and frills blazing to save her friends but ultimately, the girl was open minded to life. Knowing that Hoothoot was a nocturnal Pokemon and they were currently battling in broad daylight was enough to make her aware that she had disturbed it's sleep. She too was a girl who adored sleep and often slept past an alarm. But for Catherine, the avian had approached her to let off some steam but maybe she was about to make that worse.
The very epitome of hating and loathing haunting the body of the Clefairy, Morendo took control of her being once more, the Clefairy's eyes sharpening and looking almost evil, or atleast akin to the shape of a Gastly. Using her cosmic powers to summon forth lightning, the chunky pink Pokemon shrugged off the Growl and followed up with an attack. They had a slight level difference, after all, they had just back tracked a decent enough amount but it seemed that neither of them were holding back. Soon enough, a crackle was followed by a bolt which struck the Hoothoot, making it unable to continue with the battle, steam rising off of it's body. Turning her head, Catherine nodded suggestively to Atlas, who nodded in return before dashing over to the fainted Hoothoot. Plucking a leaf from his head and placing it in the bird's beak, his leaves were bitter and didn't taste too nice but it atleast helped with the healing process. He just hoped that this wasn't be too common otherwise he could very well go bald!
"Heehee, great job, Aria!" Catherine called as her light footsteps approached the Clefairy. Morendo hurriedly let go of his control and morphed back into the Pokemon's shadow. Coming around, the Clefairy wobbled weakly on the spot before shaking her head frantically, trying to get rid of the nagging headache that was plaguing her. "You okay? I suppose Thunderbolts like that take a lot out of you!" Kneeling down in front of the Clefairy, Aria turned and looked to her trainer worriedly. She had no idea what was going on or memory of the battle. Rather, the reason the Clefairy was out travelling with Catherine was to help regain her memories but Aria started to wonder if she was becoming more forgetful. Slumping forward sadly, Catherine pulled her head back in slight surprise, exchanging a glance with Atlas who had since returned. Raising their hands in unison, Catherine placed a caring hand on the head of Aria, whilst Atlas patted her side, "It's okay, Aria. Just take it easy." As they tried to comfort the Clefairy, Catherine and Atlas completely lost track of their surroundings.
OOC: Forgot to mention last time but Morendo should now have +2 Happiness because he was technically sent in/"participated" in the battle first. So I'll update this too.

Oh, not again! The Pokemon and its buddies were, for sure, not average for their kind. Their kind were supposed to live on the ground, forage, and live life like every other wild Pokemon. But this Pokemon and its colony didn't like being 'normal', or 'average', or even 'sane'. All of them envied the flying-types that flew effortlessly overhead. Why did they get to fly effortlessly in the wild blue yonder while they had to be satisfied with plodding along on the ground? Well, not anymore! One raid of a balloon stand during a festival at a nearby town, and they were ready. They took turns tying the balloons to one another and, once their own balloons had been tied on, joined the others clinging onto a dead tree so as not to get lifted away without their comrades. However, that meant that this one, who had been the last, had had to tie its own balloons on, which didn't go very well. Unbeknownst to it, the knots were poorly done, easily slipping. Once it, too, had joined its partners in the trees, they all launched, taking off into the sky. A balloon in each forepaw, they were able to steer. It may not have been as effortless as it looked to them, they may have collided with one another, and the wind may have pulled them away from their nesting grounds, but who cared?! They were flying! They were flying non-flying types! Take that Arceus! Take that Mother Nature! But this Pokemon had begun to drop lower and lower, losing balloons one by one as the ties came undone, the balloons floating away like Drifloons without a care. It could feel another slipping loose, but with the way it had tied the strings, it couldn't twist to fix it. And... there it went! That proved to be the straw that broke the Camerupt's back, and the Pokemon whom, thankfully, hadn't been very high up due to all the balloons it had lost, began to plummet down to earth. Somehow, it managed to avoid all the trees, instead thump-ing down in front of Catherine on the dirt route stomach-first. It groaned, pushing itself up and shaking the dirt from its face. Looking up, it saw Catherine, and froze. A (Level 8) Flying Pikachu just crash-landed right in front of you! Will you Fight or Flee?

Trying their best to comfort the forgetful Clefairy, none of them expected what would happen next. The very Pokemon they were in the route to search for floating cheekily over head, one particular in the group beginning to lose altitude. One by one, balloons began to loosen around it's chunky body, leading the flying rodent to take a turn for the worst. With the last one or two balloons barely being enough to hold it's weight, the yellow creature was sent hurtling down toward the ground, landing face first in an ungraceful and painful manner. Looking up in unison, the trio looked over to see what the sudden commotion was about. Even Morendo, who lurked in Aria's shadow, extended himself in order to see what misfit had dared approach them. Each of them blinking their eyes slowly to come to terms with what they were looking at, it was Catherine who eventually spoke up.
"Ooh look!" She suddenly beamed a grin, her words growing in energy as she took in the form of the yellow Pokemon, "It's a Pikachu!" Standing back to her feet, her eyes skimmed over the adorable Pokemon, her posture wiggling in excitement. "Oooh! The radio said there were floating Pikachu's and it was TRUE!" Stepping forward, Aria tilted her body curiously as her beady eyes looked across to the Pikachu, Atlas sharing a common thought. Why had these groups of Pikachu decided to go on a rampage of balloon theft and fly across Johto? Each to their own but for these two Pokemon, neither of them truly understood. Remaining silent, Morendo merely watched the on going situation, waiting for the order to attack. "Looks like your balloons lost a bit of UMPH though, huh? That or you wanna battle us!" Clapping her hands together, the girls rosy cheeks grinned, "I only came here to watch you cheeky little Pikachu float around but if you've got the energy, then I wont say no!"
Misunderstanding the situation and thinking that the Pikachu willingly descended in order to battle her, Catherine turned knowingly to Aria, who almost cowered at the thought. "Are you ready again, Aria?" She knew the words were coming and with it, came a sigh. The Clefairy always began to feel dizzy, as if fainting before she even entered a battle but that was because of the intrusion of Morendo. Aria's shadow extended across the ground and bore a threatening aura, as if eyes were piercing into the very soul of the Pikachu. Hurriedly retracting back, Morendo swept across the body of Aria and took control of the Clefairy as Catherine issued an order. "Let's go with a nice and friendly Pound this time!" Pausing somewhat, Morendo tested controlling Aria's legs cautiously before getting the hang of actual movement and then forcing her to attack.
OOC: Gastly first, switched with Clefairy and used Pound.

Happily taken aback by the chance encounter with a flying Pikachu which was swarming the area, it seemed the hijinks wouldn't be ending there. Whilst the group of rebellious Pikachu had pinched a load of balloons, it had been somewhat unfortunate the ragtag group had been split up due to the billowing winds which took them to areas all over New Bark Town and the surrounding areas. This such one was hoping to soar as high as it could but as Catherine commented on it's balloons loosing their buoyancy, the Pikachu anxiously scurried its feet around in the air as it realised she was right and it was no longer sailing through the air. This venture may very well have come to an all too abrupt end. As it sized up Catherine and her menagerie of Pokemon, the Pikachu was shrewd enough to realise of what ilk she was from. Knowing full well that Pokemon trainers were the type to amass a number of Pokemon as their team mates, the Pikachu scuppered about a little bit more as it bobbed up and down as it began to understand the reality of its situation. With that loose balloon dropping it down in altitude it was now likely in the deep end of a confrontation. Gulping, the Pikachu could tell from the way the trainer was misreading the situation that she was interpreting its fall from the heights as a sign it wanted to battle. Trying to push itself upwards awkwardly, the chubby flying Pikachu was straining every fibre in its body to take off once more. What's more, the Pokemon she was sending forward had a bizarre aura about it. Unable to pin point what exactly was up with the Clefairy, the Pikachu shook off the dastardly shadow of Morendo that had extended forth and by some miraculous stroke of luck, began to rise in the air. Letting out an abrupt, shocked cry the Pokemon began to fly higher and higher, before it was now back up to its original heights. Letting out a triumphant series of squeaks, the Pikachu was now airborne. Somehow it had regained altitude and used fly. Now soaring back up where it rightfully belonged, the Pikachu presented a smug smile down on its bird's eye view of the world below. Folding its arms and beginning to nod its head, the Pikachu let out a surprised yelp as it the awful sensation of falling set in. Realising it was now losing altitude once more, it appeared a sudden gush of wind had uplifted the Pokemon upwards albeit only briefly. Now falling down at an incredible speed, the electric mouse crashed into Aria with an improvisational fly attack. Bounding off, the Pikachu still remained floating thanks to its balloons but it knew it was in serious muck. Hobbling about mid air, Aria struggled against her will and with a sudden dab of her fist, made a serious pound at the accidental Pikachu, causing it to float backwards uncontrollably. Wild Battle

Catherine's eyes remained glued to the Flying Pikachu, their emerald green hue glittering with excitement and joy. "I have never seen such an adventurous Pokemon! Who knew a Pikachu would wanna steal a load of balloons just to go for a fly?!" Finding the idea both entertaining and interesting, she watched as the Pikachu scanned it's own eyes over her nervously, realising she was a trainer. With both Atlas clinging to her shoulder and looking curiously whilst Aria lifted a hand to wave sweetly, she didn't seem like a bad human, or so she would think. Maybe she was a little bit over enthusiastic at times, maybe even chaotic but she always welcomed new Pokemon with open arms and this Pikachu was no exception. "But I bet you have had loads of fun flying around then saw us and wanted to battle, right? Of course I am right!" Grinning with a sweet laugh, it was incredible just how wrong Catherine was.
Sending forward Clefairy once more, with the secret help of Morendo, the dark and ghastly spirit took control, only peering up with a grunt as the Pikachu somehow managed to take flight. Her own dress flickering as the gust of wind came out of nowhere, Catherine had to hold her hair back as she watch in awe as the Pikachu began to float. "Look at that! I bet Mama would never believe me if I said I saw a Pikachu fly!" Noticing the Pikachu smiling down on them, albiet smugly, Catherine raised a hand into the air and began waving happily, "FLY HIGHER AND HIGHER!" She called in a cheering manner, only, it seemed mother nature had a different plan for the Pokemon. The wind that had once carried the Pokemon upward died down and with it, Pikachu began it's descent. The trainer's face turning to a look of pure horror, she dug her hands into her hair and began to bounce around on the spot nervously, "Oh no, oh NO! THE PIKACHU IS FALLING!"
Caught up in the moment, Morendo almost instinctively stepped forward, as if the overwhelming kindness of Aria took over, implying that catching the falling Pokemon would be her own reaction. Trapped in her own mind, it was Morendo who looked up in her stead, looking horrified as the electric rodent began to fall faster and with it, used Aria's body as a cushion to land on. Stumbling backward, it was almost as if Morendo took the hit himself, a much deeper voice grumbling out of the mouth of the Clefairy. Wiping a hand down her face, the supposed Aria glared at the much lower Pikachu and with a step forward, landing an almighty smack. "O-Oooh... Kinda deserves that, huh?" Catherine whispered to Atlas, who were both in shock that the Pikachu had fallen and landed smack bang in the centre of Aria's face. Still, not all of Catherine's sense was lost as with a swift tug, she pulled an empty Great Ball out from her belongings. "Let's see if we can sneak capture it!" Whispering her words and nodding a suggestive head to Atlas, Catherine pulled her arm back and threw the ball, hoping to capture this cheeky Pokemon.

As Catherine chucked the Greatball forward, it soared through the air, much akin to the floating Pikachu itself and found itself dabbing against the mischievous Pikachu's forehead. Absorbing it in a red light, the Pokemon was covered from head to toe as it was digitised and scooped into the centre of the spherical capture device. Falling to the floor with a plonk, the capture was now under way. Rocking back and forth, it was processing the newly acquired Pokemon. Once... Twice... Thrice...

As the Greatball rocked to a halt, leaving Catherine and her team to watch and anticipate the Pikachu breaking free, they were all fairly surprised that they had been successful. "We got it! WE GOT IT!" Catherine called cheerfully in a singing tone, taking a hop and a skip forward to collect the ball. Releasing his firm grip over Aria, Morendo took in a deep breath and merged back into her shadow. Battling was hard work and it took a lot of energy on his part to keep her mind under wraps from rejecting him as well as moving her body to attack. Tripping forward slightly, the Clefairy came to, only to experience a pounding head ache as she grasped hold of her face. What, had a Pikachu just landed on her?! Not being able to understand this surge of pain, she winced her eyes open to look for Catherine, only to be surprised that the girl hadn't noticed the other creature there. About to bend down to pick up the Greatball, it strangely began to hover into the air and was pretty much handed to her. Her politeness reacting quicker than wondering what it was causing the ball to levitate, Catherine accepted the floating ball, "Thank you very much!... Thank... Huh?"
Her eyes noticing a string attached to the Greatball, they followed it until they landed on a different Pokemon altogether. Almost jumping back with how close it had floated to her face, Catherine instantly knew what Pokemon it was but still couldn't help but be surprised. "A Drifloon?!" Despite it's facial features making it hard to express it's feelings, the balloon like creature manage to smile with it's eyes, hoping not to have scared her too much. But being such a lover of Pokemon, it was infact the opposite, as she quickly dashed forward again to greet the creature properly. "Nice to meet you, little Drifloon! I didn't see you a moment ago, the only one I saw was..." Slowly trailing off, Catherine remembered what she had just captured, "...A Flying Pikachu." As if putting two and two together, she lifted her spare hand and pointed directly towards the balloon. "Were you help keeping the Pikachu afloat? That is so kind of you to help it fly, Drifloon! Ah. I guess we just kinda captured your friend though." Rubbing the back of her head and laughing innocently, the Drifloon tilted it's body but didn't necessarily mind.
Waving it's sting like appendages around, the Drifloon did appear to be somewhat comical. Puffing up it's body to a much bigger size, deflating it's body and floating down to the ground and even spinning in a circle, all the while impressing Catherine. Clapping her hands childishly, she was enjoying this mysterious Pokemon's company, "Heehee, you sure are funny Drifloon!" Turning on her heel, she suddenly spoke out in a dramatic voice, pointing across the trees, "We are travelling the world and meeting lots of new people and Pokemon! Now that I saw a Pikachu, I am gonna head back to Azalea!" Mockingly punching the air, she grinned, "With just a little bit more training, we will be ready to defeat the Gym Leader there and then travel more!" Looking over her shoulder, she figured the Drifloon was a wild Pokemon so decided to ask the question, "Would you like to come with us?" Floating around in the air, it appeared to be a bit uncertain, to which Catherine jumped in yet again, "Ooooh, you don't have to! I mean, you probably fly all around the world anyway, right?"
Turning to her other Pokemon, she only just realised that Aria looked very tired. Probably overexherted, Catherine hurriedly parted from the side of the Drifloon and cradled the Celfairy in her arms, "Aria! Gosh... You have such a fever... Come on, let's head on over to the next Pokemon Centre! I guess I made you battle a bit too hard, huh?" Withdrawing Aria, to which Morendo hurriedly occupied a separate Pokeball, Catherine stood back up, only to realise the Drifloon had disappeared. "Huh? It's gone? Atlas, did you see where it went?" Chuckling to himself, Atlas feigned any knowledge and with that Catherine shrugged her shoulders, "Ooh well! Still, let's head on back to Azalea, okay?!" Beginning to walk down the path, she still hadn't realised that the Drifloon had latched itself onto the back of her belt. Atleast this was another member to her ever growing team of friends!
