Sandshrew's heavy breathing worried Samuel, but he was brimming with pride for the pangolin. It had come up against quite the difficult opponent that was Bonecrusher and fared decently well, even if Sandshrew's attacks hadn't made much of a dent in the sturdy Aron's metallic armor. "Thank you! Don't worry Sandshrew. Even if you lose, you're still amazing to me!" the boy chirped happily, grinning so exuberantly that his weary partner managed to find a smile to return back. Looking round at Bonecrusher again, Samuel gave March a thumb's up as his way of thanking the other trainer for his compliments.
"Alright Sandshrew, try another Rollout!" instructed Samuel, hands curling into half-fists as the rodent tried to comply. Battered, bruised, and just aching all over, it was an incredible effort to even move a foot. This sluggishness was enough to give Bonecrusher an opening, the shiny Aron lumbering across with his head tucked against his body. Sandshrew, eyes widening at the rather intimidating sight of the charging Steel-type, pushed its tired body to obey, only a moment too late; Sandshrew managed to curl itself half way right as Bonecrusher made contact.
Sent reeling by the heavy blow, it wasn't completely clear what happened to the pangolin as it flew backwards to land a few feet in front of its trainer and a cloud of dust rose to obscure it. Sprawled on its back, there was no movement from Sandshrew whatsoever, Samuel's sad but accepting expression indicating that Sandshrew had indeed fainted. He recalled his partner with a solemn sigh, giving his head a quick shake before smiling at March. "That's SOME Pokémon you've got there. Whoa. But I've got one left, so I hope you're ready for round three!" exclaimed the youth as he exchanged the ball for another one, sending out a familiar bird with a scruffy appearance and piercing eyes.

Marchbaby was really hoping for this next hit to be the knockout blow as Bonecrusher had never fought a ground type with so much determination before. Samuel's Sandshrew was far tougher than it looked and Bonecrusher had put an amazing amount of effort into this battle. He was quite sure that Bonecrusher was going to win but he was also trying to make sure that he did not push his Pokemon too far since Bonecrusher was still fairly young and he knew that the young dinosaur had a long way to go before being able to fight at his peak level. As the two Pokemon got ready to attack Marchbaby was amazed by yet another powerful collision on the poor Sandshrew. Even when curled up in a ball the attack was quite fierce some.
The poor Sandshrew was knocked out cold by the hit and Marchbaby was still in complete shock as he did not think Bonecrusher would e ale to do so much damage to a Pokemon that was in such a good defensive posture. The look on Samuel's face was further confirmation that Bonecrusher was a true monster for his size and if he could keep fighting as well as this he would become an Aggron in no time. As Samuel mentioned that he had a final Pokemon Marchbaby was about to switch Pokemon since Bonecrusher had fought so well and did not want him to over do it. However before the young man could react Bonecrusher took his place in front of Marchbaby and roared as loud as he could. The young man took this as a sign that the little dinosaur was not finished yet and wanted to keep going even after using such an exhaustive series of attacks and he was not going to tell the shiny Aron no.
" Bonecrusher are you sure you want to keep battling? That Iron Head takes a lot of energy to use and you are still not quite at peak performance yet. If you really feel like you can handle it I will not stop you from going again." As Bonecrusher nodded Marchbaby kept his word and let the small dinosaur stay out. If nothing else it might help teach the steel monster not to push himself or it might prove to be a payday with how fired up the young Pokemon was. In either case Marchbaby did not want to hold Samuel up for too long since he had a feeling the young man would need go to a Pokemon Center after this battle to check on his poor Sandshrew as soon as possible.
" I hope your poor Sandshrew is alright. Bonecrusher scored quite a hit in that last round. Your Spearow looks like it is ready for this battle and I think Bonecrusher is still fired up after that last round so I am ready whenever you are. Bonecrusher I doubt you will get to strike first but once you have an opening use Iron Head on Spearow to start things off." He said expecting a drawn out battle after the long battle with Sandshrew.

Seeing Bonecrusher step up once again was a small blow to Samuel's confidence; what could his Spearow do to such a powerful little Pokémon? His hesitation wasn't visible beyond the grin still up on his face, more so for his partner than himself. "Sandshrew is tougher than it looks. A good rest at the Center and it'll be just fine!" Samuel said in response to March's worried comment. Even the damage dealt by the devastatingly strong Iron Head would be healed away, the only injury remaining being the bruising to Sandshrew's pride. Youthful optimism bubbling up again, hoping for luck to favour him this time, Samuel pointed at Bonecrusher and shouted out an order to his waiting Spearow.
"Try a U-Turn, Spearow!" Unsure of how well his partner would hold up against Bonecrusher, Samuel wanted to play it safe, even though he had no one to send out in Spearow's place. Wings unfurling in a graceful move, Spearow leapt up and climbed into the air, looking down at its foe with a determined gleam in its eyes. Cawing wildly, the hawk reared back before throwing itself forwards, swooping down upon Bonecrusher like a feathery missile. Colliding with him was an exquisitely painful experience, legs radiating pain as Spearow kicked out at the Aron's head before racing back to Samuel with speed borne of its attack.
Noticing the bird's wincing, Samuel's mouth opened as Bonecrusher began to charge, eyes locked intently on his flying foe. Spearow had dropped down following the attack, an unintentional mistake that left it wide open for the unstoppable metallic monster. Realizing its mistake, Spearow tried to fly out of reach but was met with Bonecrusher leaping up and slamming his thick head into the bird's stomach. Coughing hoarsely, Spearow lasted a few seconds before dropping like a stone, much to Samuel's dismay.
Crestfallen, the boy recalled Spearow and stuffed the ball into his shorts, fishing around in the other pocket for some change. "Didn't stand a chance. But... I'm still glad I fought you. Sure have some powerful Pokémon with you, mister!" Samuel said with a faint sigh, handing over a bit of pocket change for the victorious party. "I'm sure you could totally beat Whitney if you wanted to. Maybe I'll come watch if you do, but I better get to the Center for now. See ya!" Dashing off with an exuberant grin and a wave, Samuel was soon out of sight as he made his way to the glittering city in the distance.

As Sammy reassured him that Sandshrew would be alright Marchbaby felt a bit better. He was glad that it's defensive posture had prevented any serious damage. As he turned his attention to the battle the young dragon tamer grew more anxious by the minute to see how the two Pokemon would do in their first round. As soon as the round began the young man was a bit surprised by the Spearow'ss speed as it launched it's attack before Bonecrusher could even begin to comprehend what had just happened. He was a lot faster when it became time to retaliate than Marchbaby had expected however and the resulting Iron Head caused him to overflow with excitement believing that Spearow would get back up and this would become a good battle with a worthy foe.
However it was not to be and Spearow was knocked out cold in a single hit. By all means he was glad to have won the battle but after how well the young lad had fought up to this point he was hoping for a bit more of a challenge in the end. " I have to say that was a bit unexpected. I really thought your Spearow may have been able to get back up after how well Sandshrew fought but I guess there is always next time." He said as he recalled Bonecrusher. As the young boy admitted defeat and was impressed by his Pokemon Marchbaby was proud to have shown the young boy what his own Pokemon may be able to do some day. " Thank you very much. If you keep training the way you do your own Pokemon may become this strong one day."
He was quite glad for the compliment about his battling skills but he was not quite sure if he truly was ready for Whitney or not yet. He had managed to secure a nice surprise a little while back when he visited a friend's estate but that surprise still needed a bit more training before it would be ready to be unleashed. As he accepted the money the young boy gave him however Marchbaby thought it would e a great idea if he would come and watch the gym battle whenever he finally got around to challenging Whittney. " I would love to see you at my next gym battle. I have a Pokemon not too many people see around these parts that I am sure will raise a few eyebrows when the time comes. I hope to see you there."[/color}
As the young boy walked off to get his Pokemon a checkup at the Pokemon Center Marchbaby had decided it was time to head back to the Union Cave to look for a Pokemon that he had not encountered the first time he had explored it. Not only that but he planned to train some of his new Pokemon as well. Before he headed off to the cave he began to head to the Pokemon Center as well where he deposited Shocker and Kamikaze into his PC and added Blubber and Cannon Fodder to his party so he could finally get around to training them.
Ooc: Ending this thread so that March can go back to the Union Cave. I am swapping out Shocker and Kamikaze for Blubber and Cannon Fodder. Bonecrusher keeps his current moves.
