As the fainted Elekid was returned to it's pokeball, it was quickly replaced by a fiery lizard, Charmander. It stood proudly, it's tail ablaze with a bright burst of fire. It looked over to the Magnemite, readying itself for the upcoming battle.
Magnemite was the first to make a strike. Staying at a slight distance, the Magnemite began to power up, electricity surging through each of his magnets. Soon enough, it bounced in the air, sending a strong electric current through the air which zapped the Charmander. Though he was quick enough to shake it off as the fire type charged forward, taking in a deep breath before belting out a ball of fire.

Joey remained still as the two Pokemon exchanged blows with one another. Their electricity and fire attacks hitting one another squarely as they battled one another. Charmander patted his head with his paws to try and shake off some more of the electrifying thundershock. Joey looked at the state of Amalia's Magnemite and surmised it to be nearing the end. "Okay Charmander, keep this up, fire another Ember! We'll do this yet." Charmander nodded and with a mighty inhale of air he then spat out a spew of burning embers in the magnet Pokemon's direction.

"Hang in there, Static! Use another Thundershock!" Amalia commanded. Static nodded in response and electricity sparked its body, unleashing a bolt of lightning onto the Charmander. Amalia had a strong feeling that she would lose this battle. But even so, she was proud of her Pokemon for trying so hard.

As both of the trainers commanded each of thier attacks, neither of the little pokemon hesitated. Charmanders clawed feet ripped across the dusty ground as Magnemite pierced the air with it's speedy movement. As each pokemon released their attacks, the ember and the thundershock collided, causing a large boom, whipping up a cloud of dust which surrounded both trainers and pokemon.
Soon enough, the dust died down, only to reveal one Pokemon standing, Charmander. Magnemite was flat out on the floor, it had fainted.

Joe watched on intently as Charmander went into battle and as the dust cloud died down he was ecstatic to find that his Charmander was still standing. "Alright Charmander! You stood in there pretty well. Now it's one and one... We can do this!" Charmander jumped and down with a cheery grin over his face from his new victory. Joey looked over to Amalia and grinned enthusiastically. "Well one thing's for sure; no matter what the outcome i've enjoyed this match with you." He turned to Charmander and ordered a pre-emptive move. "Charmander, rear your claws and launch a Scratch attack on the next Pokemon!" He commanded with a great deal of confidence and belief in his Pokemon.

Amalia returned her Magnemite and smiled softly, nodding towards Joey. "I agree. May the best trainer win," she said, looking towards her tired Zero. "Sorry.. But you have to go back out there, okay?" she said, earning an understanding nod from her Charmander, who trotted towards the battle area.
"Okay, Zero! Use Scratch as well." she commanded, earning a nod and he charged at the Charmander with sharp and extended claws.

Both trainers were now down to their last pokemon, it was one on one and Joe seemed to have the upper hand. Zero was still weak from the last battle and it was easy to tell that it could only handle one or two more hits.
Both Charmander's were ordered to do the same move. They readied their claws, both shining brightly in the sunlight. The pair charged into each other head on, their claws interlocking with one another. They seemed to wrestle for a slight moment, before Joe's Charmander used all it's strength to knock back Zero.

Joey watched on excitedly as the two Charmander Pokemon attacked one another to decide the fate of the battle. Although Zero was low on health it wasn't going down without a fight and Joey flinched as it scratched his Charmander. Charmander responded in kind and retreated back to his post. "Okay Charmander... It's very nearly possible that your next move will seal our victory. Be sure to aim carefully and remember to Scratch!" Ordered Joey as Charmander flashed it's claws again and dashed in for a swipe.

"Zero! Win or lose, I'm very proud of you!" Amalia told her Charmander, earning a smile from him. "Use Scratch, Zero!" she commanded, earning a nod as he charged at the Charmander. Knowing he would lose, he still was proud to hear Amalia encourage him.

Zero felt really encouraged by his trainers support, he knew himself that they next move would most likely finish him off, but he didn't want to go down easily. Using every bit of remaining energy it had, Zero ran forward and leapt into the air. It's claws blazed furiously as they ripped through the air, landing a powerful hit onto Joe's Charmander.
The critical hit gave him quite a surprise. Charmander struggled back onto it's feet and gazed over to Zero angrily. It closed in on the weak fire type and unfortunatly, a single swipe from Charmander sent Zero crashing into the ground.

Joey nodded as the battle was finally over. That last critical hit didn't just shake his Pokemon up but also Joey himself. He wiped his forehead which had started sweating slightly in the last few minutes of the battle and let out a long whistle. "Woah... Your Charmander's definitely got a lot of fight in it. Scratch that... All of your Pokemon and yourself do!" He recalled his Charmander back to his Pokeball after giving him a celebratory thumbs up. He walked over to Amalia and laughed. "I had a good feeling about challenging you... Say, what are you--" He paused, frozen, mid-sentence as his eyes widened as a number of police officers charged from around the corner. "THERE HE IS!" Angrily yelled an officer. Another one chimed in "Heheh yeah, we got a report that our most wanted was in the area kicking up a ruckus." He turned to Amalia and smiled. "Have no fear madame, we'll clear off the hooligan!" Joey shook his head an sighed. "Guess we'll have to chat later. Tell you what, if you see me, give me a shout 'kay?" He looked to the exit of Cherrygrove and grinned. He was just about to step away before he gave Amalia a wink. "Keep up, you're an excellent trainer!" With that, Joey made a blinding dash out of there as the police officers followed in hot pursuit. OOC: I'm done here if you're okay with that Amalia.  |

OOC: I concur! ^^ I'll put up my last post and we're done with this thread!
Amalia blinked at the Police Officers, trying to tell them he was doing nothing wrong but they didn't seem to listen. She smiled back at Joey at his compliments and watched him walk off. She held her Charmander close to her and nuzzled him. "You were great Zero..." she said, rushing towards the PokeCenter. She stopped for a moment and watched Joey run off, smiling softly and walked into the building.
