This is a poll to see which is the best region. So start voting and see which region is the best out of them all
Note: I pick Johto

lol, I liked Sinoh. Pearl was my favorite game out of them all so far; I absolutely loved the team I put together, and the storyline wasn't too bad ^-^ Team Galactic! And although Dawn bugs me a little, she was better than Lyra. Lol. [/size]

I've got to go with Kanto. It was where it all began and I have fond memories from grade school when I used to trade and battle! Though the boys were all Mewtwo obsessed. I never learned how to evolve my Nidorina, so I died. Lots.

Kanto all the way baby! I know a lot of this factors in with the fact it was my first region but the towns themselves are just so memorable and the place just feels like home. Johto isn't bad but it felt slightly small. The other two, while both have their own good features just don't top Kanto in my opinion. ...Also... Shouldn't this be in the Pokemon Game Discussion?

HAH! ;D Nope, it definitely wasn't you this time. The results in so far are pretty interesting. Although perhaps non surprising to say the least what with this being a Pokemon role-play forum centred around the Johto region and it's games.

If we were picking the games, I would pick GSC because you could explore the two regions. But I did go with Kanto because everybody else went for Johto. But that still wasn't my only reason. >>
Hehe! Everybody hates Hoenn. X)

I think Hoenn would have been a far lot better if it was for the fact that about 99% of the routes there were water ones. While it was a nice diversion from the usual grassy routes I think it could have been handled slightly better.
Diving was Godly however. ;D I seriously wish they'd bring back that mechanic.

Yeah, the diving was pretty neat...wonder if it might appear in generation 5? But please, stick to a mainly grassy and land region. Surfing with no particular landmarks made it super annoying. I would dive underwater more often to figure out where I was at.

After all these years I think you've finally summed up what I found was so wrong with the seemingly endless water routes. ;D No landmarks. It was literally just a straight route with barriers on either side and samey looking tiny islands dotted about here and there.

I gave up ever trying to find items out there. And seeing Tentacool after annoying Tentacool helped killed the experience of that game. Replay desire died once I had to surf.

Hoenn because it felt like such a varied tropical island to be on almost not to mention all the water areas it offered. it made me feel right at home. :3

Hm, it did have SOME varying locations. Exploring a volcano wasn't too bad. I still don't concede the fact I disliked the water routes. They were far too annoying to traverse seeing as they took up about half the map!

That's my problem with Hoenn too. Faaaaar too many water routes and the plot was hard to follow, especially the whole 'two opposing teams' thing. I was like 10 at the time and thus I couldn't understand any of it. Also, I didn't like the pokémon much ('cept for Absol and Seviper) but the Tentacool spamming just ruined it.
