All of Catherine's Pokemon began to wear happy expressions as the trainer had finally begun walking in the correct direction. If this were to continue, they would finally move to the next area and actually have the chance to find the second Farfetch'd they were looking for. Clenching his paw, Atlas wore a happy grin across his face as just up ahead, the trees looked as if they were changing. Step by step, it wasn't going to be too much longer, even Yumina her Blissey was walking along with a bit more excitement in her step. All until, Catherine suddenly paused. A paw raking his face, Atlas looked across to Catherine, ready to slap her silly for being so poor when it came to directions, all until he noticed her expression. Looking blankly ahead, Catherine appeared to be in a state of confusion, or perhaps even shock. "H-Huh? W-Who is tickling my ankles?!" Awkwardly looking down, the girl has felt something wrap around her and the cause was just about to make itself know.
Wrapping around both of her ankles to stop her progression were two, blue vine like tentacles. They were gripping too tightly but it was enough for even Catherine to notice. She was clumsy but even she could tell when her legs weren't doing what she was telling them to do. "W-WHA?! What is... Huh?!" Using her eyes to follow the tentacles back to where they came from, it became very obvious very quickly just who owned them. Standing in it's little red boots was a ball of tentacles who looked very familiar. "This... Little red boots!!" More amazed by the fact that the Pokemon was wearing shoes, Catherine turned with an excited bounce and grinned down to this new creature. "You are... A Tangela! Heehee, how are you? Do you wanna play with us?" Finding it's entire form interesting, she reached for a ball on her belt before the Tangela could continue with it's secret plan. "How about a battle? Ooh please do!" Holding her choice of Pokeball firmly in her fingertips, she gave the Pokemon a warm smile, "I have never seen anything like you in Unova. If I win, travel with me, okay?!"
Giving the Pokemon some sort of choice that it likely didn't care about, Catherine threw her Pokeball forward to officially start the battle. Emerging with an elegant spin of her large flower came the familiar sight of Ayesha, her Flabebe. Looking pumped and ready to go, Catherine thrust her arm forward, "Ayesha, let's attack with a Fairy Wind! Go, go, go~"

As Catherine took notice of Tangela wrapping it's tentacles around her ankles it began hoping that she would not freak out and try kicking it in the face in an attempt to break free. Instead she was rather excited to have encountered it which Tangela was not entirety sure if that was better or worse than getting it's face kicked in after what had happened to it's friend. Catherine did not appear to be cruel unlike other trainers it had watched from a distance but it was still cautious as it released it's grip as it tried to act cute and cuddly in a rather desperate attempt to buy itself more time and the plant Pokemon thought it had worked until Catherine mentioned the word battle. At that moment Tangela wished it would have waited a bit longer before approaching Catherine. Now if there was any hope of freeing it's friend at all Tangela would somehow have to last long enough for Farfetch'd to wake up so they both could run off together. Of course Tangela was not very enthusiastic about it's chances as this trainer had defeated it's friend with ease and Farfetch'd was the better of the pair at battling. Nonetheless Tangela had set out to play with it's friend today and it was going to try everything in it's power to win this battle. Before being able to step forward and attack a magical wind began to blow around Ayesha. The wind suddenly began blowing towards Tangela after it built up enough energy which caused the plant to lose it's balance before falling backwards. Landing on it's back Tangela struggled to it's feet before trying to get some revenge. Being a grass type Tangela's body naturally produced different powders to defend itself from attackers and now seemed like the perfect time to try using the powder. As Tangela began shaking it's body the powder slowly headed towards Ayesha until a sudden gust of wind caused the attack to miss completely leaving Tangela in disbelief that sleep powder had failed due to such a bad stroke of luck. It was not ready to give up on trying to rescue Farfetch'd just yet however as it still had a few more tricks worth trying before all hope would be lost. Tangela: | Level 10| Health: 58% (21/36 HP) Status: Normal, How did I miss? Move: Sleep Powder (Missed)
Catherine's Ayesha: | Level 18 | Health: 100% (49/49 HP) Status: Normal, Pixie magic my friend! Move: Fairy Wind

Smiling down at the bundle of vines, Catherine found the creature incredibly interesting. There was no Pokemon similar to another but even less like a creature such as Tangela. Just what sort of body was underneath all of those vines? Everything was heavily shadowed out apart from a pair of large eyes and shiny red boots. It was a similar case to Diglett, just what did the part that was underground look like? They were just a few mysteries of the Pokemon world that would likely never be answered. Still, the tangled looking Pokemon looked ready to put up a fight, causing Catherine to question whether or not it would end up travelling with her. Regardless, she wasn't the type to give up that easily so even if she couldn't capture the Pokemon today, there was no denying that she would track it down in the future and try again until she was successful.
Adamant to the point of being stubborn, Catherine wanted to be friends with everyone and everything, this particular Tangela included. Watching in awe as her precious fairy battled once again, the Flabebe swished her on oversized flower, creating a beautiful gush of fairy like wind to knock the sails of her opponent. "Swish! WOOOSH! Your winds are so pretty and sparkly, Ayesha!" Encouraging her partner with a series of cheers, the tiny creature glanced back and shot her trainer a sugary sweet smile, enough to cause Catherine to clench her chest on the spot. "Fairies are... Too cute!!" A flush even apparent on Atlas' face, the grass monkey turned away shyly whilst Yumina merely cackled, still tightly gripping onto the fainted body of the Farfetch'd.
Fighting for it's friend, the Tangela decided to use everything in it's power to set the avian free. Shuddering and realising a specific sleeping spore, the attack gently floated toward Ayesha in an ominous manner but was soon blown aware. Unaware that the attack was infact a Sleep Power, for Catherine, she was merely able to grin. "Are you trying to use a Fairy Wind too, Tangela? Heehee, here, Ayesha will show you how to do it!" Getting the wrong idea yet again, Catherine swayed on the spot energetically before giving her adorable little Pokemon another order. "Okay Ayesha, we are slowly making the Tangela warm up to us! Let's use another Fairy Wind and show it we mean business. One, two and away you go!" Clapping her hands cheerfully in time with her words, the Flabebe giggled in return and began to attack once again, hoping that luck would continue to be on their side.
OOC: mfw I realise the capture rate for this thing is terrible. ;___;

Vs. Tangela - - - - - - - - - - - - - Tangela's eyes widened fractionally as Yumina's cackle drifted over to it, nearly going into a panic over her tight grip on its friend. It so badly wanted to reach over and retrieve Farfetch'd, but instinct was warning it that such a move would only end badly, meaning it would have to focus on defeating the flower clutching sprite floating just across from it. Unfortunately for Tangela, its thunderous, menacing look was rather ruined when one could only see its eyes, which only appeared to be squinting in Ayesha's general direction. So much for intimidating the little fairy out of possibly attacking it again.
Ayesha remained oblivious to the Grass-types thoughts, emitting a playful giggle as she conjured up another sparkling wind that briefly danced around her. Guided by her power, the wind whirled over to Tangela, tripping it up again as it tried to move closer. Falling flat on its face instead, the tangled mass of vines made an unintelligible noise as it used its tentacle-like appendages to push itself back to standing, tottering wildly before righting itself once more.
Not known to Ayesha or Catherine, the Tangela had sneakily thrown a vine on the ground that snaked its way over to the Flabébé. Coiling round her flower's stem before eventually reaching the sprite herself, Ayesha squeaked in surprise as the vine tightened painfully around her. Fearing retribution, Tangela quickly withdrew its vine and threw one more anxious glance at its Farfetch'd friend, as if trying to will it awake.

Catherine was enjoying this battle, particularly with the focus of her pretty Ayesha taking the lead. With pixie sparkles and a floral aroma to her, the Flabebe had certainly become a key member to her team already. Being fairly knowledgeable when it came to Pokemon, the fairy species as a whole was something completely new, even to the aspiring nurse. There were Pokemon she knew of previous who she now knew held the power of fairies and to her, it was incredibly exciting. She couldn't wait to finish exploring Ilex so that she could go onto Goldenrod. The spiralling metropolis was bound to hold plenty of new and exciting things for both herself and her team. But once again, that was Catherine thinking ahead. Tapping a clenched hand against her forehead playfully, she regained her focus and looked back onto the battle at hand. "That's how you do it, Ayesha! You show 'em the power of fairy magic!" The fact that she had always been fond of happy ending fairy tales also likely added to her love for this new type.
Falling on it's own face after the attack, Catherine blinked in worry and voiced her surprise, "Woah! Sorry there, Tangela! I didn't realise the attack would make you fall over like that. Are you alright?" Showing some concern for her opponent, there was very little need for it as the sneaky Pokemon had an idea for retaliation. Using the fall in it's favour, the Tangela had used a sneaky vine to attack Ayesha, who in return, let out the cutest of cries. "Now that was mighty sneaky of you, little Tangela!" Catherine called in a playful tone that was akin to a light telling off. "But a battle is a battle, I suppose! Though I do think you shocked Ayesha a little bit..." Trailing off, she noticed the Flabebe was suddenly paying careful attention to the ground after being grabbed by the vine. Pausing and unsure of what to do next herself, a idea hit Catherine. "It still doesn't look like you are ready to come with us, huh, little Tangela?" Suddenly bearing a wild grin that was almost horrific, she lifted a different Pokeball, "But I have an idea now after that sneaky little attack of yours!"
Looking up, she beckoned her own Pokemon back, "Ayesha! Come back here for now, okay?" Glancing over her shoulder, the floating fairy gave a nervous nod before hovering her way back to Catherine's side. "I have a super special present for you! Let's go, THWOMP!" Throwing her next choice forward, it exploded with a bright light that formed into the shape of her Nosepass. "Nice and easy now, Thwomp! Use Thunder Wave!" Oblivious to what had been going on up until this point, the Nosepass turned to face the small Tangela and figured this was his opponent, all whilst looking far too intimidating.
OOC: Switched to Nosepass and used Thunder Wave.

Fearing its chances with just how powerful this strange fae like creature truly was, it would definitely be grounds for being suspicious of these Fairy type monsters in the future. They weren't just cute. They were devilish tricksters that spared no mercy in their dealings. Just when the Tangela thought it was all over and it would have to deal with another windy onslaught from the Flabababibabadoo, the Pokemon opened up its eyes through the thick mess of vines covering its body and made something of a startled revelation. Popping up into the air as its red shoe clad feet flurried at the excitement. Having been alerted by the sound of Catherine being quite saddened by how carried away they had got in their battle with itself, she had decided to swap to something else. Now standing tall and proud before the vine tangled creature was none other than a Nosepass. It's odd appearance and deftly large nose were not something this Tangela had seen before. If there was one thing it could be certain of it was that this girl seemed to be from another world entirely. Deciding it wouldn't end this scrap here, the a vine from the Pokemon's body lengthened out and with a whip like motion, cracked at the stony hide of the Nosepass. Nearly toppling Thwomp to the side, the Pokemon lurched to counter balance and remained resolute in his stance. Reeling back its vine in somewhat confusion, the Tangela blinked visibly, suggesting without the need to see its facial features that it was shocked the rocky foe had not crumbled to dust before its lethal whipping. So blatantly open, it was good enough timing for Thwomp to follow out Catherine's order. Raising up its stiff arms to its side, the Pokemon seemed to levitate somewhat as its nose acted a compass like pointer, as if trying to attune to the magnetic field of the planet. As if tuning in, the impressive tonker fired off a sudden surge of electrical energy that meshed with the Tangela. It had been sporting a particularly tangled up do to begin with but now it was completely paralysed up with how badly those thunderous waves had impacted it. Haphazardly shaking as it tried to respond with another attack, a second vine launched out from its body and with a not so impressive slap this time around, scored across Thwomp. Given how tough Catherine's Nosepass was, it was no surprise it took the hit with little to no trouble. Looks like a receipt was in order as it was time for the Tangela to pay up. Wild Battle

Some form of a plan coming together, Catherine looked on with glee when her faithful Nosepass, Thwomp, entered the battle. Sturdy and silent, they had recently taken part in Azalea Gym together and Catherine knew he wasn't one to hold back in a fight. Obeying her orders to a T, the rocky nose managed to summon some friction, sending a Thunder Wave directly at the Tangela and successfully paralysing it on the spot. "Yeah! Just like that, Thwomp!" Cheering that her sudden switch had been a good choice, even if he had unfortunately taken a deft strike, the aspiring nurse moved into the final stages of her wish. To get the Tangela to join her jolly group. "By now, you gotta understand how strong we are! If you come along with us, you can get strong too! Heehee, I promise I will shine your little red boots every single day!" Gripping her hands together, she beamed on, "And one day, when I become a great nurse, I bet having loads of tentacles would help. I guess you could say you would become real handy!"
Laughing somewhat, her shoulders then drooped, a more gentle smile spreading across her face. "But really, let's be friends, Tangela!" Doubting she would be able to find one again for quite some time, truthfully, she wanted to heal the little ball of vines from the paralysis as quickly as possible. So, reaching into her belongings, she pulled out a lone Pokeball or more specifically, a Quick Ball. It was the only one she had but the held interesting qualities so she was certain it would lead the capture to success. A small bit of worry plaguing her, she made a delicate sigh before pulling a more focused expression. "Here we go, Tangela!" Pulling her arm back, the young teen lunged her arm forward with an incredible amount of energy, eyes wide as the ball span through the air, swerving past the body of Thwomp in order to get to the true target.
In a matter of moments, Catherine would find out if she would be victorious or not. Her distant goal was seemingly never ending but doing this made her feel as if she was becoming one step closer to becoming a great trainer. A few of her Pokemon who also remained outside of their Pokeball's watched in anticipation. Catherine may have been a bit fruity at times but there was no doubt that they each cared for her in their own way.

Vs. Tangela - - - - - - - - - - - - - Blown about by fairy magic and now paralyzed by a silent, looming rock golem, the last thing Tangela wanted was entertaining the notion of joining these terrifying monsters. On another day, in another time, perhaps things would have been different and the Grass-type more than happy to tag along. But its current state made it a little more than hesitant, and while Catherine's promise to treat it well did intrigue Tangela, Tangela was too rattled to readily agree. It was with good timing that the aspiring nurse decided to throw a ball at it, given its current train of thought and subsequent distraction.
Caught unaware by the device bonking it soundly on the top of its body, Tangela stepped back with wide eyes. Springing open in the air, the Quick Ball worked as advertised and swiftly drew Tangela within before snapping shut and falling to the leaf-littered floor. It wobbled about with the occupant's panicked attempts to escape, the movement erratic thanks to the continuing paralysis still afflicting Tangela. Just as quickly as it had begun, the ball came to an abrupt halt, signalling the tired Pokémon succumbing to the inevitable.
