Letting out a triumphant laugh to himself, Joey punched the air up in front of him as he noticed the safari ball near its destination. His reason for merriment was because of how the Scyther had positioned itself. Given the two of them had been dynamic in their movements, pacing back and forth, it meant the terrain had constantly shifted about them. Having paid so much attention to Joey, it appeared it was unaware of the vines now cloaking its vicinity. Having gone to lash out at the ball and no doubt destroy it in half, the vines acted as a restraint, meaning his ball actually connected and scooped up the stubborn mantis. " ALRIGHT! That's one for Joe. Even if this punk runs for the hills in the next round, I at least managed to get the drop on it. That's victory enough." Watching as the ball rocked back and forth before erupting its contents out in mere seconds, Joey let out a brief sigh. " Meh, why stop there. I may as well capture it completely." Looking back over as the Scyther came to its senses, Joey held up another Safari Ball and nodded in a cocky manner. " Looks like yer runnin' out of steam. At this rate, one of these next balls will capture ya good 'n proper. You gotta keep ya wits about ya with me around. Go!" Lobbing yet another primed safari ball forward, Joey cared little for the Scyther to catch its breath. At this point, he had the momentum, he needed to keep it going. - Joey tosses another Safari ball -

Scyther had been doing a wonderful job of destroying every ball that Joey had sent it's way in his attempts to capture it however the mantis was growing very tired from it's efforts. The buy type was not sure how much longer it could last against the onslaught of Safari Ball's that Joey seemed to have at his disposal. Scyther had more than proven to be a worthy opponent by now no matter what the eventual outcome may be however defeat would still be a heartbreaking option for Scyther after fighting so well. As Joey grabbed another Safari Ball and tossed it towards it as it got ready to try and destroy another ball praying that the man would give up after this ball. If this day was anything to go by however it should have known he would not give up easily. As the ball flew towards Scyther it tried to slash it out of the air however at the last moment the ball curved and hit Scyther in the shoulder trapping the bug inside. Having failed to slice the ball in half and now inside of the Safari Ball Scyther frantically tried to burst out. It slashes it's scythe like arms against the interior of the ball in rapid succession trying to break free but the ball seemed like it was being held together by a divine force itself as the ball refused to show any signs of breaking at all. The ball shook back and forwards three times as the trapped Scyther kept up it's desperate attempts to break free. After the third shake Scyther slashed the ball one final time before a loud "Click" echoed throughout the area. It was loud enough to hear in other parts of the safari zone as the click sound producing components inside the ball had been damaged by Scythers escape attempts causing it to be far louder than normal. Though it's new home showed signs of a great struggle Scyther had been defeated. It now belonged to Joey whether it liked it or not. Defeat was a horrible thing for it to deal with but it had put up more than a fair fight in trying to keep it's freedom. Congratulations Scyther has been caught. Please complete the code below. His eyes frantically watching the next few moments unfold, it felt almost as if time had slipped to a stand still. Each and every spin of the ball seemed to unwind forever and the aggressive movements of the Scyther really didn't instil Joey with much confidence in this continued strategy working. "C'mon Lady Luck, Joey's in need of a bit of your special touch somethin' fierce like." Watching as his ball somehow slipped past the mantis' frenzied scythe like forearms, he watched as the monstrosity was sucked up inside, the camouflaged ball then dropping to the forested ground. "Oh man... Thank you." Looking up above with a look of total gratitude, he returned his attention back to the capture process itself. He had called upon Lady Luck's intervention but she wasn't going to stop just there. He was grateful enough for the ball actually hitting its mark but what would happen next would delight Joey to no end. Wobbling once, twice and thrice, the rough and ready biker nearly fell over backwards from his crouched position. Steadying himself, he propped himself up before he could fully tumble over and launched himself upwards into a leap.
"Oh yeah! That's what i'm talkin' about! HELL YEAH!" Punching at the air excitedly, he moved on over to the captured Pokemon and pocketed it away. There was no way at all he was going to let that end up in some wild Pokemon's possession. "I get you don't have the best impression of me but here's to us bondin' in the future." Stashing it away in his pocket inventory, he let out a jubilant whistle as he began checking over his other supplies. "So lessee... We got... Uh... Huh huh... Hmm... A nice number of those balls I swiped left. Good. Would be a damn shame if I had to go home now. Given how good the spoils have been so far. I'm also pretty deep into this forest they got goin' on here... Wonder what else there is?" Letting off a small shrug of his shoulders, he folded his arms upwards and over his back as he began strolling casually in a new direction, all the while whistling away. He was certainly in a chipper mood now.
OOC: YEEEEEEEEAH! Boxing for now. I'm gonna have to invest in a Metal Coat for that Scyther.
Also on a side note 6/10 encounters and 21 balls left.

Whistling away in joy over his recent successful string of captures, Joey continued exploring the depths of the Forest area within the Safari Zone. Surrounded by tall trees, unusual plants and a very well walked dirt path that acted as his life line should he ever become lost, there was no end to sounds that he could hear. The forest was home to many inhabitants, ranging from small bugs to large predators. He had just met one, in fact, but there were more which lurked underneath the creepy darkness of the rustling foliage. One particular Pokemon had spotted the human just moments before he had thrown a ball at the Scyther. Having watched it become captured, the wild Pokemon showed interest in the human. The Scyther was well known to even the Pokemon of the forest as a bit of a bully, so just how this person had managed to capture it in such a little device was a complete and utter mystery.
Intrigued but incredibly cautious, as it pondered on it's potential actions to take, the wild Pokemon decided to carefully follow the thief. Even if it's stalking skills weren't up to par with a certain professional. Unaware that it's large body gave off heavy steps, it might have been clumsy but it was trying. Lurking behind each and every tree it came across, peering behind each of them before moving onto the next. All of a sudden letting out a snort, it tensed as it's own actions and hide behind the tree which was just steps away from Joey. Although the tree trunk hid it's face, it was actually very thing, clearly showing the outline of the Pokemon's tall, bulky, white fur body. Having it's own set of long, sharp claws, the Pokemon was known as Vigoroth. But judging from it's actions so far, it wasn't malicious. Just a bit... Silly.

His whistling continuing on as he explored more and more of the forest, Joey was surprised at the lack of activity. " Maybe i've been spoilt with how thriving Ilex Forest was but aside from that 'derp back there and the Scyther, there's not been much else." Despite his misgivings on whether he would bump into else, it appeared he was stalked from a good distance. " Sheesh, maybe I oughta mosey on over to another area or something. At this rate i'll start growin' moss on me like some of these trees, haha." Laughing to himself, he slightly narrowed his eyes as his senses picked up on the subtle indication of the stalker drawing nearer. Deciding to play up his ignorance, Joey continued on and began whistling again as if to lure the creature into a false sense of security. His ears picking up on the unmistakeable sound of twigs snapping and foliage rustling, he was sure he was being followed at this point. Keeping up the pretence, he waited a few moments long before turning around with a breakneck spin to hopefully catch a glimpse of the being that was following him. Having expected for the stalker to be a lot more agile on their feet, Joey looked around for a swift movement for his eyes to target but when he slowed down his reactions and noticed a completely obvious creature hiding, albeit not very well, behind a tree trunk, Joey folded his arms and cocked his eyebrow incredulously. Having to laugh, he called out to it as he began circling around casually to get a view of it. " I sure hope y'know you're not foolin' anybody." Getting a better view and seeing it happened to be a Vigoroth, Joey wasted no time in priming a ball and smirking. " Next time you might wanna hide from the tree branches up above." Tossing it forward, he had taken a liking to the Pokemon's silly behaviour. - Joey throws a Safari Ball -

Having tried it's very best to stalk Joey quietly, the Vigoroth hadn't had much luck. Although hiding as fast as it could, the Pokemon was spooked by how quickly and randomly Joey had craned his neck. It's large frame shuddering behind the tree, it flinched it's eyes closed tightly, only opening them again at the sound of the humans voice. Wincing one eye open before both, the Vigoroth suddenly made a surprised face as the human pulled out a Safari Ball from his pocket. Too sudden to try and dodge, the white furred Pokemon bravely stood it's ground and allowed itself to be drawn inside. Landing into the overgrown grass, the blades rustled as the ball shook violently from side to side. Just when it seemed that the capture had been successful, the ball burst open, revealing the Vigoroth out in the open once more. Clearly spooked by what it had just witnessed, the Pokemon backed up immediately, looking as if it were about to flee. But strangely enough, it remained.
Not able to sense any hostility from Joey, the Vigoroth cocked it's head slightly to the side, as it began to sniff the air. Pointing toward Joey in particular, the bipedal beast let out a few shrewd snorts and throaty grunts, it's clawed feet taking a few steps closer toward the human. Maybe it was his natural odour that was confusing the Vigoroth into thinking he was one of their breed? Perhaps he could move into the forest and live in peace with the Vigoroth?

Hoping his luck hadn't run out just yet, Joey watched as the ball ensnared the wild Vigoroth and scooped it up inside. Rocking back and forth as the capture device fell to the ground, it seemed he wasn't out of luck just yet. But it happened. It broke free. " Shoot, suppose that's what I get for gettin' too excited." Observing how spooked it was, Joey stood forward as he outstretched his arms. " Woah! Hey fella! Where ya goin'?!" Not sure why he exclaimed in such a way, it seemed to work as the Pokemon slowed to a halt and appeared to look at Joey in a particularly odd way. Odder than what had been first seen in this Pokemon's behaviour. Quite unsure as to what the Pokemon was focusing on, Joey shrugged and decided to take this as his sign. " Hey, thanks pal. Nice of you to stick around. What say we give this another shot?" Having primed the ball already, he lobbed it forward with a full armed swing. " There's more to life than this pokey old forest!" - Joey throws another Safari Ball -

Having been spooked by the ball, Vigoroth watched every movement Joey made. And even still, it's claws twitched and it's fur seemed to itch and move as the tolls of standing still seemed to bother the Vigoroth. Joey continued to speak when Vigoroth grunted at it, and afterwards, Vigoroth fell to all fours to creep forward a little bit further. With each movement Joey made the Vigoroth would freeze. The strange man had already outstretched his arms, making himself larger than he truly was, so was he trying to intimidate Vigoroth? Still clearly confused by the smell and actions of the strange creature in front of him, Vigoroth saw Joey prepare another ball, causing the white creature to flinch as it knew what was coming. There was no point in attempting to flee the ball. The Safari Ball flashed and Vigoroth was materialized into light before being sucked into the capsule. Panicking, Vigoroth burst through after a few shakes and found itself in the forest once more with Joey. The Pokemon was able to make a few ties before realizing that the reason it was being sucked into these capsules was because of Joey. Although it wasn't aggressive and was technically still rather fond of Joey for whatever reason, an executive decision had been made. Spooked once more, Vigoroth snorted before turning and dashing into the undergrowth only to burst forth a few feet further to climb a few trees and disappear deeper into the forest. Perhaps he would meet the Vigoroth again? Either way, Joey was now alone in the forest once more. Wild Vigoroth fled...

Still not really knowing how to peg this unusual Pokemon, Joey hoped with a successful capture he'd be able to understand the eccentric creature better. Watching as it was scooped inside the small confines of the device, it was unfortunate that it wouldn't be sticking around long enough to be captured. Erupting out of the ball with a sudden look of realisation on its face, Joey could tell for sure this time it was gonna bolt. Making its way off with a frenzied flee, Joey shrugged and called out to it. " Seeya buddy. Make sure next time you hide yerself a bit better alright?!" Laughing to himself, he decided to continue on exploring. " Ya win some, ya lose some." Falling silent for a few moments, he couldn't help but reiterate his view on the Vigoroth. " What a weird Pokemon." - Joey explores the Forest further -

Joey was not alone for long as the last encounter attracted a lot of attention. A mighty Breloom had been feasting on leaves when it heard Joey talking to the Vigoroth before it escaped. Breloom was a rare sight but Joey was a lucky man so this encounter was bound to happen sooner or later. Breloom approached Joey cautiously as ut was used to people trying to capture it but it still believed some people would be happy with seeing such a rare Pokemon. After all no one would come to the Safari Zone if rare Pokemon did not live there and as Breloom's population was minimal it did not think Joey would try and capture it. Breloom watched Joey as it stood in front of him just a few feet away as it smiled. Breloom wanted to hang out with him for a bit as he seemed pretty nice at first. As soon as it saw the broken Safari Balls at his feet however it became far less friendly. The sight of the balls angered Breloom considerably as it had gotten away from other trains before who tried to catch it and it certainly was not going to fall victim to one of Joey's Safari Balls without a fight. The fighting type began punching the air in front of it in preparation just in case Joey tried his luck. The Pokeball impressions on it's arms was a testiment to how many times it had escaped. Breloom dared Joey to try and capture it as it waited for him to make a move. Breloom (Level 27) decides to try it's luck against you. [Throw Bait] [Throw Rock] [Throw Safari Ball] [Flee]

From one encounter to the next, Joey came to a halt as he picked up on the Breloom in the vicinity. If the last couple of trips to the Safari Zone were anything to go by, it was well worth a few more return trips. Not only could he enlist the help of exotic and unusual Pokemon to help in his fight against Team Rocket but he could also send them back home to be with his mum. Given she helped out at the Fuschia safari zone, she'd no doubt be interested in all the stuff Joey was capturing. This Pokemon was no exception. He had heard of a bizarre kangaroo like creature which sported mushroom like motifs to its body. " Oh wow, a Breloom? The things you find in this part of the forest. Hey there guy, enjoyin' some leaves huh?" Grinning wildly, Joey thought he'd respond in kind. Looking to the tree next to him, a number of leaves were hanging from its canopy. Tearing some off after deeming them to be safe to eat, he shoved them in his gob and chewed. They... Weren't exactly pleasant. " Mmmm... Mmm.... Mmm... *gulp* Err... Tasty stuff!" He said, hoping to get some points from the Breloom there. Watching as the Pokemon shadow boxed the air in front of it, he ran his hand over his rough chin and appeared to be intrigued by its movements, oblivious to the fact it had become somewhat hostile at the thought of being captured. " Huh, not bad. You look like you're a fighter of sorts. How 'bout joinin' me? Trust me, the way I go about things, trouble is never far behind and usually needs a good wallopin'." Grinning from ear to ear, he primed a safari ball unaware of the Pokemon's wants. " You're up!" Tossing it forward, he allowed for the safari ball to do its job. - Joey chucks a Safari Ball -

Angered by Joey's presence at this point, the currently skeptical Breloom watched in utter shock as the trainer began nibbling on leaves. The invisible boxing match that happened in front of it as Breloom attempted to intimidate slowly stopped as Breloom watched the man with morbid curiosity more than anything. The fact that Joey actually went through the process of trying to make the Breloom more at ease was something the fighting Pokemon hadn't seen a trainer do before. Most threw Pokeballs, as the Pokemon well knew. Blinking as it took a step forward, it didn't fully understand the humans speech Breloom but couldn't shake the fact that it wanted to. After all of the trainers came in and threw Pokeballs, Breloom never expected for it to be this curious about a human. This scruffy man in front of him with bandana, clothing and all had piqued it's interest for sure. It was enough to forget the safari ball indentions in it's arms and on the rest of it's body. Breloom was about to get a first glance at Joey, however. And perhaps more, as a Pokeball flew towards it. The Safari ball wasn't an unknown concept to the Pokemon here in the Safari Zone so Breloom understood what was happening. The Pokemon now had a choice. Learn more about this strange human who took the extra steps to attempt to put it at ease? Or, of course, break out of the Safari Ball and get out of dodge. As Breloom was encased in the capsule with a brilliant flash of bright light, the Safari ball clicked close and fell to the ground to commence with it's shaking. It lurched once as Breloom contemplated it's fate. What did it truly do here? Now that it was evolved, there weren't many Pokemon to scrap with. With it's fighting move, there was no Vigoroth that wanted to box with it. With a second shake, Breloom relaxed. And, with the final third shake, the ball relaxed itself and completed the capture. As the ball caught its target and began rocking back and forth to complete its task, Joey stuck a finger in his mouth and attempted to fish out some of the leaves he had stuffed into his mouth. Flicking off some from his finger, he took a hearty spit as he disposed of the rest. " Bleurgh! I try and live off the fat of the land, berries and the like when roughin' it up on the road but I don't think i'll ever get used to that." Shaking his head, he was at least glad to see the Breloom had decided to take up arms with Joey. At this point, his gang was bursting at the seems but thankfully, the disused warehouse he has commandeered was as spacious as anyone could want. " Might have to change that name of abandoned warehouse to lively warehouse. Wonder how everyone's doin' back home." Stuffing away the newly caught Pokemon into his pocket, he began exploring further into the forest as he pondered on his gang's well being. - Joey explores more of the forest - OOC: Boxing Breloom for now.

Adding another Pokemon to his collection, Joey tried to pull out the remaining leaves he had rather stupidly tried to eat, spitting repeatedly in hopes of getting the taste out of his mouth. As he struggled to save his tastebuds, he instead continued his exploration through the forest section of the Safari Zone and pretty quickly, he came across something that was just as unimpressed with the taste of the forest as he was. "BLEUGH!" An odd, displeased sound echoing throughout the trees, there wasn't a single creature in sight but with every step Joey took, he seemed to grow closer to the source. "BLEUGH!" A manic rustling shuffling to the side of him, the tall male turned quickly, only to see a bunch of leaves cover something large and pink. "BLEUGH!" Whatever was behind the bush was the source of all the noise and considering it's cry, it was highly likely to be a Pokemon. If Joey was brave enough to investigate, he would part the trees to see an obscure sight.
An absolutely massive pile of berries sat within a small, shaded grove, all of different sizes, shapes and colours. But something equally as large was testing each and every one of them. It's back turned to Joey, the large, pink creature was known as a Lickitung. Extending it's most well known feature, an incredibly long tongue, the Pokemon gulped down a single berry. "BLEUGH!!" Spitting it straight back out again, whatever it had just tried to eat clearly didn't fulfil it's specific taste. But despite this, it went straight back in to test another, only to "BLEUGH!" once again. All of a sudden, it fell to it's back, rolling around like a spoilt child before freezing as it laid eyes on Joey. Staggering back up, it stared at the human before raising it's arms and crying out. Running straight for Joey with it's tongue flapping, it looked ready to eat him whole!

Stopping dead in his tracks, Joey raised a curious eyebrow as he was pretty sure his ears weren't deceiving him. There was a definite sound of distaste in the air. "Wow, that really sounds like it's just had somethin' nasty." About to shrug it off and move on to find a suitable encounter, he would be instead greeted with one right off the bat. Turning as the bushes began to shake violently, he quickly sidestepped around to face the source of the rustles. Noticing a large, pink creature obscured by leaves, Joey leaned forward with an incredulous look on his face as he decided to investigate. "Err... Hey?" Met with a resounding cry of disgust, he pulled back in a lively fashion. Having taken a good look, it seemed the source of the noise was a disgruntled Lickitung that was gorging itself on a number of berries. Berries of which couldn't have tasted very nice. "Hey pal, you might wanna lay off them berries if they don't-"
Stopping, he watched as the Pokemon got up and looked dead on at Joey himself. Getting the feeling the Pokemon was in something of a gluttonous mood, Joey's eyes winced as he realised what exactly the Pokemon would attempt to do. "Oh c'mon, if you didn't like the taste of them berries what makes ya think i'm any better?!" Despite his protests, the Lickitung began rambling over, its tongue flailing all over. "G'dammit!" Bleated out Joey as he quickly grabbed a rock from the floor and tossed it at the rampaging Lickitung. "I swear to Arceus if this thing eats up the rock and spits it out with a bleurgh..." Standing his ground, he hoped the rock would knock it off course.
