Enchanted Orchard Ethan Farfetch'd Encounter #2

Farfetch'd (Level 20) encountered here would like to battle.

After walking for a while, Ethan encountered a scene where a tree in the forest was shaking. As he got close to the scene, however, the second Farfetch'd finally revealed itself. This leek duck was as equal as its friend/partner/other one, as it proudly and boldly holding onto the leek and looked readied to fight with Ethan. The trainer gave the Farfetch'd a shrug, and then went on to send out his Pokemon to take the Farfetch'd in a fight.

"Come on out, Ratz. Go for a Hyper Fang on the Farfetch'd!" he tossed a Pokeball out. The mechanical sphere popped open, revealing a tanned colored, long tail rodent with a big teeth in front. The mouse looked around at the area, looking at the Farfetch'd, the trees, the grass, and the forest first. Then, after this was done, the mouse dashed forward to attack the Farfetch'd because he was ready for this.

Unbeknown to this second Farfetch'd, it was blissfully unaware that Ethan had already snagged it's equally as mischievous partner in crime. Handed back to Sylvester safely, it hadn't taken long for Ethan to follow the tracks of the second avian which had led him to this very moment. Hopefully once this one was down and out for the count, Ethan would receive something for all his hard work. After all, the Farfetch'd weren't making things any easier and put up quite the fight. Leek poised under it's wing, the Farfetch'd had sharp reflexes, which was made obvious from it's previous training against the tree bark. Over and over, it had struck the same area and if Ratz wasn't careful, he too would be receiving a deep cut.

Light on his feet, the large rodent nattered his fangs upon the command given by Ethan and sprang forward in zig zag motions. Trying to move unpredictably to catch the fleeing bird off guard, a moving target was certainly different compared to the tree bark it had been striking. Still, the Farfetch'd followed the movements of Ratz as closely as it could, up to the point where a pair of fangs suddenly parted right before it's face. Flinching back in surprise, the Farfetch'd cried out as a pair of fangs sunk beneath it's feathers and with a hurried tug, pulled itself away with a flap of it's wings. Gasping for breath, the Farfetch'd had certainly been taken off guard, so much so that it didn't even make a move!

The battle with the second Farfetch'd started off alright so far. The speediness of Raticate on top of the tactical running strategy by Ratz himself has put the flying Pokemon off guard. Once the rat had reached his destination, the rodent bit the bird fiercely, and powerfully, so much that it made the Farfetch'd too shocked to move. Ethan didn't realized that this move could make the opponent flinch before.

"Wow... Good job Ratz! That was good! Now go for a Hyper Fang again!" Ethan cheered, and thoroughly excited by his Pokemon's surprise performance. With the second Farfetch'd who looked like it was in pain, Ethan was hopeful that he would finish this forest dweller's request soon enough, and then head to Goldenrod City for whatever that he had wanted to do, such as exploring the big city. He heard some great things about Goldenrod City, and it would be disappointing if he didn't get there sooner to explore himself. He wasn't paying as much attention to this battle as his other two wandering Pokemon, Baltoy and Cottonee. Though he had his reason because he really don't think that this Farfetch'd would give his Raticate much of a trouble.

Startled by the potency of the first attack, Farfetch'd managed to shake off some of the shock and stand tall once more, ready to get the battle started off with a bang. It had to go and find it's comrade so they could continue to explore the forest. Being cooped up and used to cut things got boring after a while. However, the Farfetch'd joyride was coming to an end. Ready to dish out some pain, Farfetch'd twirled it's leek and pointed it at Raticate, narrowing it's eyes and clicking its beak.

Raticate had an answer for it, and dashed forward, ready to Hyper Fang once more. Ratz got lucky with the flinching earlier, so it was confident it could do it again. However, it wasn't needed. As soon as Ratz's fangs sunk into the flesh of the bird, the creature cried out, dropped its leek, and fell to the ground. Completely knocked out. A few feathers scattered themselves across the ground as Ratz trotted back to Ethan, proud of his work.

With two badges on his hands, and now two Farfetch'd knocked out, Ethan thought these Farfetch'd were a joke. Just a light Ha-ha joke. Thankfully though, the battles were quick and he didn't really need to stay in this forest for a long time because of drawn out battles. He was quite glad he used his speedy Raticate for this battle. It was a fantastic feeling that the two birds were knocked out really fast. Thanking his Raticate, he returned his Pokemon back into his Pokeball. Hollering at his two other Pokemon, Baltoy and Cottonee, he began making his way back to return the fainted Pokemon to the rightful owner.
