After wearing down the energtic and seemingly exotic Pokemon Aipom with a combination of paralysis and an attack, Ethan now was hoping to catch this Pokemon again. Hoping that he won't repeat what happen with the Ditto earlier and the litter of broken Pokeballs, he went to his bag and dug out another empty Pokeball and tossed at the Aipom. The normal type was warped into the capture sphere pretty soon, and he waited for the result. Weecot waited patiently as the capturing do its job, but in the event that the weakened and paralyzed Aipom would break free of the device and then attack, he would make sure the Aipom won't reach his trainer. Ethan yawned for a bit as he waited, he could really used a place to rest after this. Then, he opened his eyes to see the result of this capture.

The worn down acrobat disappeared in a flash of light, the ball's button shining red as the capturing process began. With Ethan's eyes closed, enjoying a good long yawn, he only had the sounds of the device lobbing back and forth against the blades of grass and crunching lightly through the dirt. One Shake... The pokéball ground the earth as it wriggled and writhed with the wild pokémon inside
Two Shakes... The ball had made a comfy impression leaving just the swish of grass to signify the lessened movement
Three Shakes..!
*POP*
Ethan opened his eyes just in time to see the ball break back open and the crazy grin of the Aipom greet him. It somersaulted head over heels and plopped back upright with its arms wobbling weakly to the sky. Apparently it still had some fight left after all; but the capture had been so close! Still, though, this left Ethan with one less pokéball in his diminishing supply. Free again, the aipom dropped to all fours and took after Weecot to get another swipe of its tiny claws. A little bit of the grass type's cottony exterior ripped with the force of the attack but overall it seemed to have done minimal damage. Perhaps due to the aipom's fading vigor.

When he opened his eyes, the Pokeball had popped open. The energetic Pokemon had already broken one Pokeball! He would have to see if this Aipom or the Ditto earlier was more resistant. Either way though, at least it wasn't that strong enough to weaken his Pokemon in a single move, and he have plenty of time to capture this Pokemon. At the same time, he was still hoping one of these plenty Pokeballs he got would be "good enough" to capture the Pokemon without having to use his Great Ball. After the Aipom had resisted the ball with a scratch on Weecot, Ethan grabbed another Pokeball and got ready to toss it again. Hollering his Cottonee to watch out, he flung another capture device forward to engulf the Aipom one more time.

Ethan had everything all set up. He had weakened the Aipom to a good enough level and paralyzed it with the help of Cottonee, in order to keep it from moving around with as much energy as it had done before. But the Aipom was still struggling and proving to be a problem. The rare encounter was something that he couldn't possibly miss out on. Even if he didn't want to keep it for himself, surely he would get a pretty penny from another trainer or collector of some kind. Thus, he kept trying and this next attempt was no different. Pulling back his arm, once finding another empty Pokemon, he tossed it toward the small, purple ape and watched as it soared through the air. Maybe this time, he would have a better chance.
... *wiggle*
POP!
Bursting back out into the light of day, the Aipom gasped for breath as it used a burst of energy to try and free itself from the capsule. Eyes narrowing and breath heavy, the Aipom tried to steady itself, to attack Weecot due to its master's lack of intelligence. Only, when the Aipom made an attempt to move, its entire body failed to respond. The feeling of paralysis taking over, the wild Pokemon was unable to move, let alone attack and defend itself. This one was a fighter and would be difficult to catch. Ethan had to be persistent, however. Luck would be on his side eventually.

This Aipom, and well, the Ditto earlier, were a test for his patience. He wasn't one to like waiting around, especially catching a Pokemon. If this Aipom was something like a Pidgey, he wouldn't waste a second to defeat it instead of slowly tiring the Aipom's stamina and then seizing some surprise opportunity to capture it. Despite being paralzyed, the normal type seemed to have willpower of an Ursaring, and it made the capture a little more difficult. Looking into his bag, he grabbed another Pokeball and tossed it at the Aipom. Well, at least he had to appreciate the Aipom for not knowing a powerful move, or copying a powerful move from one of his Pokemon like the aforementioned Ditto. Hopefully this little energetic runt would stay inside the ball this time. Then, he could rest up a day or two at Pokemon Center before looking for the gym or some music opportunities.

The Aipom proved to be a slippery opponent, avoiding Ethan's previous attempts of capture again and again, despite being paralysed. However, during the previous turn, the paralysis finally set in, freezing the purple ape on the spot. Already becoming weak due to Dynner's previous attack, the feeling of not being able to move what so ever, struck fear into the wild Aipom. Trying not to let it show too much, the wild monkey wore a flinched expression, as it used its large tail to help prop itself up. Breathing heavily, the Pokemon was weak, tired and now its mind and body were unable to cooperate with each other properly. Even its vision had since blurred, making it difficult to keep watch on the floating opponent and its human standing before the Aipom. If the Aipom could have one wish, it would be to coiling up in the heights of a tree with a yummy Sitrus berry to munch on. But that wouldn't be happening anytime soon. Instead, Ethan pulled his arm back, throwing yet another Pokeball. Hitting the Aipom quickly, the ball clicked shut and began to shake from side to side.

Giga drain over mega drain
closing this thread FINALLY
With a solid amount of patience and and a good amount of pokeballs, Ethan had finally heard the congratulatory ding that signals the successful capture of the energetic Aipom. Finally, he could check in at the Pokemon Center and rest for a bit. He thanked his Pokemon for their help once again, and picked up the Aipom's Pokeball and then headed toward the nearest Pokemon Center. He waited to be check in patiently, and then hurriedly went to his room and relaxed. He took off his bag and sent out his Pokemon to let them eat or sleep on furnitures like the comfy chair, which his Raticate loves. He was going to do absolutely nothing today since he had been waiting for this moment ever since he left Ilex Forest. It wasn't long though when the sun had set down, and he just sluggishly showered and eat dinner. He'll do more some more interesting things tomorrow.
