With E3 being just over 3 weeks away I am curious to know what games you guys are hoping will make an appearance no matter how unlikely it is that they will. There are a number of ones I am hoping to see but I will list them in order of how likely I think they will make an appearance.
Battlefield 1: This is pretty much a guarantee and it's WWI setting will be a huge change of pace from modern shooters. I already preordered this as I miss old school shooters and as soon as I saw the trailer I fell in love.
Yooka Laylee: As a backer of this one I am really hoping they show off the last year of work and I do believe Playtonic will show us new gameplay. With the Toybox I will sadly not be getting coming out in July I think they will still want to give us a glimpse of what hopefully leads to the revival of the collectathon games Rare was famous for in the 90's and early 2000's. I miss games like Banjo Tooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day and I hope this one ends up doing well so more games like it will come to life.
Brothers in Arms 4: This one is a bit of a long shot but if anything was going to one up Battlefiled 1 it would be BIA4. After all these years Staff Sargent Matthew Baker's story is still unfinished and I would love for Gearbox to suddenly announce this long awaited sequel. The battle of the Ardennes with modern graphics as well as the Eagle's Nest could be amazing. Not to mention I really want to find out if he gets reunited with Staff Sargent Joe "Red" Hartsock or not after Joe got crippled in Hell's Highway and sent home.
Pokemon Sun and Moon: I know they said Zelda will be the main focus but I still hope they show off Sun and Moon even if it is just a new silhouette of some kind to keep us guessing as to what secrets the Alola region will hold for us.
Conker's Bad Fur Day 2 AKA Conker's Other Bad Day: I highly doubt this will happen as ever since Microsoft obtained Rare they have wasted this and Banjo's IP but one can dream. The original is the funniest game I have ever played and after all these years I would love a sequel as doubtful as it is.
Okami 2: I think this is even less likely than a Conker sequel but as I loved the original I would love for this to happen. With how nice the original looked on the PS2 I can only imagine how nice they could make it look on the PS4 or the NX. If nothing else please remaster it again for both systems as Okami is a fantastic game plagued by far lower sales than what it deserved.

Is E3 really that close? Wow, it still feels like it was months away.
I'm not really holding my breath too much for Nintendo. From what some press releases were saying a while back, they were only going to be exhibiting Zelda. Would definitely make sense to show off more Pokemon. But hey, we'll see.
As for other hopes, I want there to be some more solid RPGs on the horizon. Hopefully From Software can cook up another action game along the lines of Dark Souls/Bloodbourne series. There's this sci-fi futuristic art floating around the nets which is in the vein of a From Software game and i'd kill to play something like that.
Oh and as usual, I want there to be some gloriously awkward moments to go down in history. It's been a little sparse lately. Nothing will quite live up to Sony's PS3 E3 unveil or Nintendo '07(? one with the Wii Music unveil) conferences.

OMG I would love another Okami! Though, technically, there has already been a 2nd game focusing on Chibiterasu, Ammy's son, called Ōkamiden. I haven't been able to play that one yet...
Pkmn Sun & Moon I'd love to see more of at the E3. Nintendo has gone a bit down hill in the last while sadly... I'm excited for a new Zelda game of course but only featuring that one thing in all of E3 would be a bit disappointing. I hope they show teasers for other things!
Otherwise... I'd really like to see more for Dishonored 2. I saw the trailer for it last year and am just itching to see more! The first one was amazing atmospherically and story wise with tons of lore that, unlike in Skyrim, I actually read everything. Though, as much as I'm chomping at the bit to play a 2nd one I'm also scared the sequel will fall short like some do. Crossing my fingers!
Oh and there's also Recore! I think I remembering reading it was made by the same people who did Metroid so that should be good! Want to see more of that.

E3 is really so close? Man it felt like only a month ago.
Bethesda is going back again this year and YESSSSSS. I'm a massive Bethesda whore. Gimme that Dishonored 2 and Fallout 4 DLC. I AM READYYYYY.
I'd like to know more about the kingdom hearts 3, now that i bought a ps4. But that's about it...

Ugh, last E3 sucked out my soul and I haven't recovered yet. But that was mostly because of the Elder Scrolls big announcement being a stupid card game. *shakes fist* It's a sad time to be an Elder Scrolls fan that doesn't like card games or MMORPGs.
I'm not really hyped for anything. Just expecting more Dishonored 2, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and FFXII remake information. Maybe Square won't shoot themselves in the foot at E3 unlike every other FFXII announcement they've made after the initial reveal. Oh, and maybe we'll actually see some real content from No Man's Sky. It's only been, what, 2 years in the spotlight and still just vagueness?
Also looking forward to seeing what Civ6 has in store. That announcement was a bit surprising but I guess they want to move back from Beyond Earth quickly.

I want a definitive answer or maybe some sort of announcement about another Red Dead game (Doubtful though, because Rockstar typically skips E3). Other than that? Mass Effect Andromeda, Yooka-Laylee, more about Dishonored 2, and hopefully some more information about KH3 or FFXV. I'm sure there's something I'll think of later, too.

The new Ace Combat is another one I want to see but boys and girls Christmas came early this year. Yooka Laylee had it's E3 trailer drop early. Sadly it has been delayed until quarter 1 of 2017 but it looks amazing. The minecart sequences remind me of the minecart races from Banjo Tooie and and of the powers look really cool. Here is the trailer for those who have not seen it yet.

With E3 come and gone, what were people's impressions?
For myself it was a very... Ehh affair. There was so much information leaked prior, that it was pretty easy to guess off half the conferences. Microsoft's was very "safe" it felt and whilst there were a number of alright looking games (Dead Rising 4 for example) that was one that was leaked prior. Couldn't care any less about the new console revisions either.
EA I skipped over, learnt my lesson from previous years in it being a sports fest. Bethesda's was ok, one of the better ones but i'll be damned if that screaming woman wasn't like pulling teeth. Every announcement WOOOOOOOOOOOOH! It was like the female equivalent of Ric Flair.
Sony's, for me, was probably the best conference. They showed a number of games and it felt most like an E3 show. The orchestra was cool too. Even if that woman singing for the God of War segment made me go WTF?!
And Nintendo's... Well. They're so disconnected from the traditional E3 conference that it didn't really hold up. Was good seeing some info on new Zelda and more on Pokemon S&M.

I knew BIA4 was a long shot so not shock there that it was absent but no Ace Combat 7 was a huge shocker for e. I did not catch the Microsoft show but from what I heard of it I did not miss much in the way of things I am into anyways. I missed Nintendo's as well but I did see the Sun and Moon info which in my opinion was a nice reveal and the new Zelda looks great. Sony's conference had a few nice looking games and was the best of the main 3 out of what I saw and that is not saying much at all. EA's I missed outside of Battlefield 1 but that part was just awesome. It is about time we get a shooter set in the past and World War 1 will be a very cool setting. I saw the Watch Dogs 2 reveal as well and that was another thing I really did like even though the first game was a letdown.
It is a shame Yooka Laylee did not get much time at any of the 3 mains shows but Playtonic kinda did so on their own terms by unveiling an awesome new trailer so I cannot complain. I do think they should have tossed a doughnut past the guy in the Sony conference so he would chase it and shut up so we could have seen more games but all well it was not the worst even if this E3 was kinda meh overall. I know it never happens but here is to a Brothers in Arms 4 announcement at E3 2017. I think I would go into cardiac arrest if it actually were to ever happen.

Honestly, wasn't a whole lot I even remotely cared about. I skipped EA and whatever Nintendo was doing entirely. Dishonored 2, Dead Rising 4, God of War, Spider-Man, the new Kojima game, Prey, and South Park all look amazing, and there are a few games I'm iffy about (Watch_Dogs 2 mainly), but I'm coming off of it with the same "meh" feeling Joey was describing, honestly.
I did see the videos of the new Zelda though, and I gotta admit, it looks pretty kickass.
