Seems like the console has turned 20 today. I do have a soft spot for this console in particular. It was the first ever games console I owned, got it with Mario Kart and Bomberman 64. Really got me hooked on video games as a whole. Some fond memories there playing stuff like OoT, Super Mario 64, Lylat Wars, Banjo Kazooie, Paper Mario, Pokemon games etc... Good times. Even if the controller was a little weird.

Mine is sitting on my entertainment stand in my room, I still ply it occasionally. It's awesome. <3
Glad to know i'm older than it, although not by much. I remember running to my neighbors house because her family was loaded and got her all the new stuff, so we played Pokemon Snap until we went crosseyed after watching Saturday Morning Cartoons. It was the best.
Yeah, Controller was a little odd, but it's got a cool hint of nostalgia to it now.

I love that controller! Playing OoT on anything but the N64 is alien. It wasn't nearly the first game console my family owned but it was the first one that was specifically gotten for me (other than game boys) which made it pretty special in my mind. Got a used OoT as one of my first games and just played it to death! Right now we own 2 N64's that still play alright, and I'll pull one out occasionally.

Ah, nice to see I am the same age as one of my favorite consoles. I still played the N64 all the way into high school, after I had gotten an Xbox 360, PS2, and other game systems. Always did love the classics. Have a lot of fond memories of Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, the Pokemon Stadium games, Mario Party, Turok, and especially the first Paper Mario. I actually still have it plugged up, actually, so I may go back and see if there's any old games I wanna boot back up and replay.
No denying that the controller was super weird-shaped, though, still not sure why they designed it like that.
