Clouds. Nasty, gray, block-out-the-sun-so-you-can't-bask-in-it clouds. Disgusting. Just great. On the one day when he would have really enjoyed walking back outdoors, into the light of the sun, letting it glare and reflect off his shades and smug grin, new poke ball — and technically first one, for what it was worth — in hand. Show off a little, make himself feel proud. A dozen years late, and with a far sight more ugliness in his attitude, but damn it if he wasn't finally here, at the start of something he'd been looking forward to.
Tossing the red and white sphere up and down in one hand, Gabriel slowly strolled through the quiet little town. "Right...time to see what this thing is made of." His proud swagger carried him back toward the landbound exit of the quiet, peaceful little town, toward Route 29.
"Last time I came through here to get to this town, had to avoid everything...run away like a little punk." He gripped the new poke ball in his hand tightly, holding it up to eye level. "But this time I got a new friend. And you ain't gonna let me down, are ya, ya great flaming lizard-thing?" He cackled through clenched teeth, the dual-colored sphere vanishing into a pocket of his jacket as he strolled out into the route.
"Let's see what we got out here today, eh?"

With Autumn came the dark looming clouds that seemed to never go away in New Bark and its routes. It as somewhat depressing as the leaves died and the sun was gone. Fall was suppose to be pretty and colorful with beautiful leaves changing with the sun out to show them off. The nice light breeze to keep it from getting to hot. The air blue calmly but with no sun it was almost somewhat cold. In fact you would think winter was on the horizon if not for the green leaves still present on the trees. Far off the rumble of an unseen storm could be heard, small flashes of what you could assume was lightning far away from your current location.
Pokemon where working hard to set up for winter, renforcing there nests, collecting food, some looking for trainers as they either run out of options or don't believe they will make it. One of these Pokemon was a Sentret, a lone sentret. The young Pokemon was lost, unsure where it's group went. Sleepless nights plagued the creature, fearful of the danger that lurked around it. Droopy eyes showed that the small Pokemon probably hadn't slept in days, it's hours taken up either looking or running. With exhaustion threatening to take hold the Pokemon stumbled through the forest.
Sentret walked out onto the route without realizing it, it's tail and ears drooping lazily behind it as they walked. It took them a few moments before they noticed the trainer not far away, the smell of fire bringing them to attention. Swirling their head, eyes landed on the charmander and its trainer and froze. They did not have enough energy to run or fight, so they stood still like a dear in head lights ready to accept its fate.
