This was it. The end was near to the relief of the dainty cutiefly and disappointment of the spinarak. The wild spider knew it was standing on its last leg, or maybe it wasn't it actually couldn't really feel much other than pain at the moment. Regardless! It had to do something to try and save its dinner from escaping; but what? The yellow fly hummed louder as she summoned up her windy ability while the near unconscious wild pokémon stumbled through its thoughts. It wouldn't matter what plan it hatched though, as a silky breeze encircled Meli with a gentle caress and then powered after her chosen target. The winds chimed annoyingly in Spinarak's ears for the second it was conscious enough to comprehend the attack at all. The blustering force easily swept the green bodied pokémon from the grass and sent it tumbling away into the bush; where it didn't come back to bother Aphy again. SWEET VICTORY!
Meli showed that pedator who's boss and grew to LV 15! She also gained +1 Happiness! Meli would like to learn Silver Wind; delete an old move? Aurora watched and learned, growing to LV 13!

The last fairy wind seem to have been enough to give the Bug/Poison-type Pokemon a final blow. Aphrodite jumped with joy as she watched the small spider fall down in defeat. However, the golden-haired beauty did not seem to be the only one celebrating the victory. Meli let out a blissful cry as she started to flutter around her trainer. "It was a close one, but you managed to pull out a win. I knew that you could do it!" Aphrodite praised her Pokemon, flashing her a warm smile. "Let's go get you healed up at the Pokemon Center." She stated, leading the way towards the Pokemon Center. Luckily, the duo was not too far away from the healing center. Aphrodite returned Meli back into her Poke Ball before entering the Pokemon Center. Once inside, she would hand Meli and her other Poke Balls over to the kind nurse. Nurse Joy walked away and placed the Poke Ball onto her healing machine and within a couple of minutes Aphrodite's team was fully healed up again. "Thank you Nurse Joy!" She thanked the pink-haired lady before grabbing her Poke Ball and making her way outside again.
"Okay, I think I would like to do just a little bit more training before heading towards that cave." She stated, glancing around her surroundings in hopes of finding another trainer to battle against for a little more experience. She wanted to make sure that her Pokemon would be at a high enough level to challenge the next Gym Leader.
Note to Mod: Aphrodite would like for Meli to forget the move Absorb and replace it with Silver Wind. Aphrodite also made a quick trip to the Pokemon Center and is now ready to take on another trainer challenge!

As Aphrodite walked along looking for a trainer it wouldn't be long before one spotted her. "Um hey, your a trainer right?" It was a girl, a shy one at that. She had a pokeball in hand. "You know it is said that when two trainer meet like this they have to battle." The girl would then smile shyly as she said the next bit. "Oh how rude of me, i'm Liz, a picnicker, and this is my Nidoran" She threw her pokeball into the air as she said that making a Nidoran female pop up and and beside her. "Nidoran!" It called out giving a polite smile to Aphrodite. "So, what do you say? Will you battle me and my Nidoran?"
Picnicker Liz has challenge you to a battle! She sends out her Nidoran♀! Chose a pokemon to fight! Rain Weather will be in effect.

"Hmm, today must really be my special day." Aphrodite smiled as she watched a female trainer approach her. The younger female trainer seem to have been wearing some sort of camper's outfit. The Picnicker did not waste anytime challenging her to a Pokemon battle. "Well, hello Liz. It's nice to meet you. I'm Aphrodite and I'm training to become a fairy-type specialist. I accept your challenge." She smiled back, withdrawing a Poke Ball from around her waist.
"I have the perfect Pokemon to take on your Nidoran! Titania, let's go!" She called out, releasing her elegant Ralts from her Poke Ball. The Ralts greeted her opponent with a respect bow and a soft smile as she awaited her trainer's command. "Let's make this one a fast one. Titania use Confusion!" She commanded her Pokemon
Note to Mod: Aphrodite sent out Titania (Ralts). Titania used Confusion! Also I just noticed that my Carbink didn't not gain any levels of happiness from a previous battle against a Bird Keeper. Do Pokemon not gain happiness from battling against other trainers?

(Running over your thread, Aphy, it would seem you're right. Bijou should have a few Happiness points. You're lucky that it hasn't gained any yet, so I can actually retroactively award this without too much hassle. :p Imma edit that now then start on the post.
Just as a note to anyone wanting to check my work: From what I can see it's 4 KOs in total, three from Travis and one wild Pidgey, which would equate to +4 Happiness. I don't see any -1s, so that's all I believe.)"Pleasure to meet you, Aphrodite! A Fairy type trainer, huh?" Liz's eyes lit up momentarily as she heard those words. She was familiar with the type and its advantages. Most importantly, she also knew its weaknesses. "Well, this here Nidoran's gonna be all over that, being a Poison type an' all!" The Poison Pin Pokémon growled softly in agreement with its trainer, its head lifting up in anticipation of the match ahead. "Though... I guess we don't have any Poison moves yet, huh Nidoran? Doesn't matter, we still have the advantage!" She nodded happily, with a smile on her face, and watched her opponent to see what she would respond with. The young lady's Ralts eventually flew out of its spherical cage, offering a bow to Nidoran and its trainer. Liz took a moment to assess the situation before frowning. "Oh. A Ralts. That kinda changes things a little." Nidoran looked unfazed, however, and growled once again while it waited for its first command. "OK, Nidoran, let's give that Ralts a Scratch attack!" Nidoran began to make a move toward Titania, but it managed no more than two paces before stopping completely in its tracks. The Ralts's eyes glowed a light blue as she began to control the Poison type's mind, forcing it to drive its own head into the ground beneath it. Liz shrieked in horror. "Nidoran, are you OK? Snap out of it!" But the little creature was incapable of doing this, left at the mercy of its opponent. Titania held her opponent in this position for a few seconds while her attack continued to drain its life force. Once she loosened her grip on Nidoran's mind, it fell to the floor in relief. "N... Nidoran? Are you... OK?" Liz asked, a concerned tone to her voice. The Nidoran replied weakly, slowly rising to its feet. It looked very hurt, but it wasn't about to give up yet. Liz sighed heavily. "You had me worried there for a minute!" She turned her attention to the trainer opposite. "Your Ralts sure is strong! How long you been together?" While she asked this, Nidoran continued with its earlier order and raced up to the opposing Ralts. Once arriving, it slashed across the Psychic type's face with sharpened claws, leaving a temporary mark on Titania. Titania didn't look particularly bothered, however, and simply waited for her trainer's next command. VS. Picnicker Liz

Aphrodite only smirked as she noticed the other female's confidence. It was true that poison-type Pokemon would have a huge advantage over her beloved fairy-types, but that did not mean that it would be an easy battle for the picnicker. Aphrodite did seem to have a secret weapon against poison-types. It was one of the reasons why she wanted to have a Psychic/Fairy-type Pokemon her team. A soft giggle soon escaped from her lips when she heard the picnicker admit that her cute little Nidoran did not have access to a poison-type move. It did not seem like Liz and her Pokemon would stand chance against Aphrodite and her Pokemon. However, Liz and her Pokemon both seem rather confident. Well, Aphrodite and Titania would just have to shake up their confidence a little bit.
Titania's attack was a huge success and managed to deal huge a decent amount of damage onto the the opponent's body. Surprisingly, it was not enough to one shot the Nidoran. "Thank you! I've been with this little Ralts for a while now. She was the first fairy-type Pokemon that I captured during the start of my journey. Your Nidoran seems to have a lot of spunk. I am surprised that she managed to withstand a Confusion from by Ralts." She said with a soft smile. "It's time to finish this Titania, use Disarming Voice!" She commanded her Pokemon.

Liz listened to Aphrodite as she spoke and smiled a little. "Your Ralts is a good pokemon, and yes my nidoran does don't she. But, she is my nidoran and i wouldn't change her for the world" The Nidoran smiled at Liz as she said that being turning around as Titania was giving their next attack. "Disarming voice huh? Well in that case, give them another Tackle Nidoran!" The nidoran nodded as she started to charge at Titania soon let out a rather charming cry which made the nidoran froze. The nidoran then winced a little, before letting out it's own cry. "Nidoran!" The nidoran fell before Liz ran over. "Nidoran! You okay?!" Liz picked up her Nidoran who opened her eyes. "Nidoran" Liz sighed in realif and got the Nidoran's pokeball back out. "Come on, lets go heal you up." Liz said to her pokemon before the nidoran returned to her pokeball. Liz then looks to Aphrodite and her ralts. "That was a good battle, well done. Maybe we can battle again some day. but for now, i better go heal up nidoran. I'll see you around some time, and good luck on your journey" Liz then gave a polite bow before heading back to violet city to get to the pokemon centre. Battle

The battle against Aphrodite and Liz was a short. Aphrodite definitely went to battle with a strong mind and the perfect Pokemon to face off against the Nidoran. Aphrodite smiled as Liz returned her Pokemon and thanked her for the battle. "Thank you, too. Our battle is going to make my little Ralts even stronger. I'm actually hoping to evolve her pretty soon." Aphrodite mentioned as she took her prize money then waved goodbye to picnicker girl.
"Okay Titania, we should probably go heal you up too, even though you didn't take too much damage. I just want to make sure that we're on the safe side just incase someone else decides to challenge us to a battle." She explained to her Pokemon, leading them back into the Pokemon Center for another quick healing session. Shortly after heading out of the Pokemon Center, Aphrodite and her Pokemon would start to travel closer towards the cave again, in hopes of battling against at least one more trainer before actually exploring the massive cave itself.
Note to Mod: Titania's level needs to be updated. Also, Aphrodite's Alolan Vulpix is holding the EXP share. Aphrodite would now like to challenge the expert trainer, if possible!

As Aphrodite and her pokémon exited the sliding doors of the route's Poké Center they would hear the sound of celebratory clapping nearby. A short distance ahead it seemed there was a woman and a couple grass pokémon actually enjoying the turn of the weather. Crackles of thunder raged in the sky far away, trickles of light flashing, but the three danced away happily. Or rather, the pokémon danced while the green clad trainer clapped a beat for them. The woman in question didn't look particularly dressed for the pouring rain. She wasn't wearing a coat, or even boots, instead a bandana protected her head and a long apron the rest of her clothes. It was riddled with mud and bits of matted grass. The Lombre was practically skating along the ground, skipping from puddle to puddle in a swift samba. The bundle of eggs known as Exeggcute were less energetic but still splashed about in a rhythmic jive around each other. "You two are in excellent form!" the woman shouted cheerily, ending the tune with an extra loud clap and throwing her hands into the air. The Lombre twirled in the air as a finisher, landing like a skilled skater gliding on a sheet of ice, then clapped himself. "Well done. Here..." The woman turned and reached into a covered bucket set by her feet. Popping the lid a bit she pulled out some homemade treats and tossed them to her pokémon. The two immediately began devouring the tasty bits and the breeder secured the lid once again. As her eyes lifted from the container they fell upon the brilliant blond also braving the storm this day. "Oh! Why hello there. Don't mind us," she chuckled, rising to stand and greeting Aphrodite with a friendly wave. "My Lombre just loves the rain so we had to come out of course. It's some good exercise for him though so I don't mind." The breeder continued, pulling some stray bits of wet hair from her face and tucking them under her bandana. "What brings you out here? Not many trainers want to travel around in a thunderstorm." Just as she asked that the fine hatted Lombre sidled up to his trainer and gave a holler, pointing up at Aphrodite. He clapped his hands and hopped on the spot. "Oh you, we haven't even introduced ourselves yet," the breeder laughed, pushing her hand gently down on her pokémon's flat head as a jest. "I'm Beth by the way. Would you... would you mind a battle with us? My pokémon are just bursting with energy. But, if you don't mind, I'd like to really give them a test so let's limit the number of pokémon used in battle to 2 each m'kay? That would probably be best due to the weather anyway. The lightning will be here soon, and we're not that crazy." Beth laughed. Breeder Beth has asked for a battle and sent out Lombre (LV 18)! While traveling down the path, Aphrodite's warm, golden eyes locked on Pokemon Breeder and her two Pokemon enjoying the rainy weather. A soft giggled escaped from Aphrodite's lips as she noticed how much fun the Lombre appeared to have been tons of fun dancing in the rain. Aphrodite was quite impressed by the Lombre's energy and its natural ability to dance so well, too. A few seconds here, Aphrodite felt like she was watching an incredible contest performance. Once the performance was complete, Aphrodite found herself applauding the Pokemon Breeder and her Pokemon. "Bravo! Your Pokemon were amazing. I definitely wasn't expecting to see a Pokemon performance in the rain." Aphrodite smiled as she approached Beth and her Pokemon.
"Hello. I really did enjoy watching your Pokemon play in the rain. I can tell that your Pokemon are in top shape. Have you ever considered using your Pokemon in a contest?" She asked curiously, a soft smile touching the corners of her lips. "I can tell. Your Pokemon seem to have been having a lot of fun out there. Unfortunately, I don't believe that my Pokemon would enjoy the rain that much." She giggled a bit. Truthfully, the golden-haired beauty was not enjoying the rain too much herself, but at least she had on her raincoat and a parasol with her.
"Oh, I'm trying to make it to the next town to challenge the second gym leader. I want to make it there as soon as possible. So, I decided not to let a little thunderstorm stop me for reaching my next destination." She agreed as another soft smile curved against her lips. "Hi Beth. I'm Aphrodite and I would love to have a Pokemon battle against you." Aphrodite said, withdrawing a Poke Ball. "I'm fine with using two Pokemon each. I'm going to start this battle off with my Sylveon!" She replied, tossing Cordelia's Poke Ball into the air and within a brilliant flash of a light an alluring Sylveon appeared in front of her. "Let's dazzle them with your Dazzling Gleam then strike em with your Swift attack!" Aphrodite commanded her Pokemon.
Aphrodite sent out her Sylveon. Sylveon used Dazzling Gleam and Swift. Aphrodite's running shoes are in effect.

"Just lovely! It's nice to meet you Aphrodite." The woman clapped her hands together as she replied, soon turning her head down to the dancing lilypad at her side. "There you go Lombre," she chimed. Her gaze returned to the golden haired beauty, smile stretched across her face, and Beth began taking a few steps back to give more room for the fight. Her exeggcute hopped along beside her, mumbling its collective name as each egg bounced. "We won't keep you too long from your travels," the breeder began. Her thoughts were shifted onto a different track though when Aphrodite's pokémon was revealed. Cordelia erupted in a spray of sparkling light, fur primed into perfect harmony of the soft colors. Though, once the cold drops of rain began to hit the bedazzlement began to fade. "Oh my, what a spectacular pokémon. Just look at that form..." Beth ogled. The sylveon was quite the specimen, and not one Beth was too familiar with, but a battle was a battle and her opponent sounded like they were starting of hard and fast. "Quick Lombre, Fake Out!" she cried, clasping her hands together as she watched the green dancer slide swiftly along the wet ground. It was a flash of speed, a magnitude to which Cordelia was wholly unprepared for. Before she could even think about gathering the dazzling energy for her attack the big lipped pokémon was up in her face. She balked. Crying out in shock at that big green capped head was suddenly all she could see. The fright alone made the fairy type lose focus and forget even trying her beam attack. Though, the follow up slap that struck her brought tears welling in her eyes and that captivating sparkle returned. Cordelia's big baby blue orbs staring right back into those uninteresting peepers of her opponent. And something happened. There was a nagging guilt that washed through the lombre for having done such a horrible thing to such a delicate creature. His gaze eased, a light gasp slipping his lips as a clawed hand brushed his mouth at the horror he'd just inflicted upon Cordelia. He was a monster! How could he have possible done such a thing? Lombre cooed in an attempt to assure Cordelia it would never happen again, putting a hand to his chest and raising the other one to the sky in a silent promise of his love for her. Beth blinked. Bewildered at what her Lombre was doing. "Wow..." she muttered, tilting her head in thought. This wasn't like her lombre at all... It must have been an effect, an ability, of this foreign pokémon. Likely something that the other cutesy pokémon had near this area. The breeder stifled her laughter to but a chuckle, "Come on now Lombre, it's all in good fun. Did you really fall for those big blue eyes already? Why not share some interests and give her a good splash of water with Waterfall, Lombre?" The grass pokémon waved for Beth to butt out. "Haha, well, maybe we are cut out for contests then; if my Lombre has such an eye for beauty." Following her comment she looked to Aphrodite with a bemused look. "Though, I'm much better at breeding. Don't want to split my attention on too many things. You though, I bet you're a coordinator aren't you?"With Lombre refusing any action against his new beloved Cordelia had all the time she needed to pay some back. Stars of light formed around her, the male pokémon watching; totally smitten. The swirl of stars shot the few feet away to slam into the Lombre. Within seconds the battle had started between the golden hair beauty trainer and the breeder. The Lombre was the first one to make a move. The Fake Out attack definitely caught Cordelia by surprise. Luckily, the attack did not do too much down to her lovely body. The Fake Out attack had stopped Cordelia's gorgeous attack from being a success, but it did not stop Cordelia from working her charm on the Lombre. A playful smirk curved against both Aphrodite and Cordelia's faces as the two watch the opponent become bewitched the fairy-type's beauty. "Oh yeah, I probably should have warned you about my Sylveon's Cute Charm ability. A Pokemon that has the Cute Charm ability has a chance to make a Pokemon fall in love with them, if there is physical contact between the two of them." Aphrodite informed her opponent. It was a little too late at this point, but at least Beth could keep that in mind for future battle references against other trainers.
Aphrodite watched as Beth commanded her Pokemon to perform another attack. A soft chuckled escaped from Aphrodite's lips as she watched the Lombre wave off his trainer's command. Lombre was clearly head-over-hills for Cordelia at this point. Aphrodite just hoped that it would last for a couple of more turns. "I agree. Your Lombre definitely has an eye for beauty."" She stated, nodding her head in agreement. She would then turn her attention towards the Lombre, observing the love-struck Water-Grass type Pokemon and his behavior. "Why yes. Yes, I am a Coordinator. I'm hoping to become a Top Coordinator alongside being a fairy-type specialist." She replied in a soft tone, a warm smile sliding across her lips as she turned her attack back towards Beth.
Shortly after responding to Beth's question, Aphrodite would turn her attention back towards her own Pokemon. "This is our chance to make another attack. Let's show them the true beauty and power of your attacks. Dazzling Gleam!" She called out to her Pokemon.
Cordelia used Dazzling Gleam!

"I figured as much," the cheery woman chuckled. Cute charm wasn't something that came around too often in this particular area, but Beth was quite familiar with those just on the other side of Union Cave due to the requests for cute pair ups she got from time to time. Really it was quite silly for her not to see the similarity with Aphrodite's pokémon and Jigglypuff. Still, it did make for an amusing match. "Oh wow! Such a rare type specialist. We certainly don't see too many fairies around here but it's always such a treat," Beth clapped her hands in accompaniment of her praise. "You're certainly well on your way to your goal. Your Cordelia is in fantastic shape. Just look at that coat." She had to admit Lombre wasn't the only one somewhat smitten with the dazzling ribbon pokémon. Even in the pouring rain the sylveon held a captivating shine about her. "When I see you winning competitions on the TV I'll certainly have a story to tell others."Beth chuckled happily. Lombre had taken to displaying some of his impressive dance moves in the meantime. Spins and flips mixed with a small bit of water skating as the rain built up in pools along the ground. He made sure not to splash his pastel colored love throughout it all. The breeder continued chuckling as she watched. "Come on now Lombre, there's no grudges in play matches. Look, your mistress seems to be loving the rain so why not give a playful splash with Waterfall?" She tried to make it sound as less of an attack as she could following Aphrodite's more aggressive call. Perhaps that would help snap him back to his senses enough to continue the battle. It worked. After a moment of consideration, taking a second to note the sparkle of enjoyment following the call for attacks, Lombre decided it couldn't be all that bad. This wasn't a super serious fight; it as just good fun. He smacked a fist into his other hand and then raised both hands to the sky. Waving his taloned digits for a couple seconds he widened his arms and then dropped them to the ground; doing a bit of a twirl as he did so. In the next moment Coredelia would find herself bombarded with a torrent of water. It pushed her to the muddy ground, the earthen muck sticking to her fur to her annoyance. Once the water and finished pounding against her she rose with a bit of a hiss, dripping profusely with the newly applied water on top of the continuous rainfall. At least it would get some of the mud out, but still. Cordelia summoned her power, twinkles of light shimmering all about her, then released a dazzling beam of energy that smacked the skating grass type straight onto his back. The lombre moaned, lifting a hand in a lazy thumbs up, but that was all that he managed to get up. His arm fell to the ground as he went unconscious. "Oh my. Well, good effort Lombre. You sure know how to treat a lady," Beth joked as she recalled her friend into his pokémon. "I guess that means it's your turn now!" The set of pink eggs piped up in a chorus of their collective name as they bounced forward into the battlefield. VS. "Aww, thank you! Your kind words truly means a lot to my Pokemon and me!" Aphrodite stated as a huge grin curved against her full lips. She could even feel her pale cheeks starting to glow a warm pink hue from the sweet words that Beth spoke about Codelia and her. "We definitely try out best to stay to top form." She added, thinking about how much hard work and growing that the two of them had to undergo in order to get to where they are at the moment. For a short second Cordelia would extend one of her ribbons and wrap it around her trainer's wrist to showcase the special bond that the two of them seem to share with each other.
Cordelia's beautiful light attack had managed to knock out the Lombre without too much of an issue. Cordelia felt a little bad for her little crush, but she knew that she had to win the battle in order to keep her trainer proud of her. It was just another part of being of an upcoming star. "Nice job, Cordelia. How about you take a quick break and get out of this rain?" Aphrodite spoke, grabbing Cordelia's Poke Ball and quickly returning her back into her orb. "Again, your Lombre definitely have amazing dance skills on the battlefield and off the battlefield." Aphrodited giggled as she glanced over towards Beth. "I can't wait to see what your Exeggcute has in store for us." She added as she tossed another Poke Ball onto the battlefield and within seconds her Cutiefly appeared on the battlefield.
"Meli, let's show off your Silver Wind!" The golden-haired beauty commanded her Pokemon. The Cutielly let out a sweet coo before flapping her tiny wings rapidly in order to create a gorgeous gust of powdery-like substances that would be sent towards the Exeggcute.

Beth clasped both her hands together and awed at the sight of Cordelia and Aphrodite; a spray of water shooting out from her palms as the rain continued to soak everyone. It really didn't seem to bother her at all, though it probably helped to have her hair all wrapped up and wearing well worn attire that covered her nearly head to toe. The breeder was likely used to toughing it outdoors. Exeggcute on the other hand, while not complaining, tended to avoid splashing in any of the building puddles and huddled very close together for warmth. "Hehe, he certainly has a love for the art of dance. Though that can be a bit expected of his species. I can't wait until he evolves; then I'll be in for all sorts of siestas!" Beth laughed. "Oh my, just look at that cutie," the breeder gasped as the blond beauty released her second pokémon. "We certainly have our work cut out for us, don't we Exeggcute?" The bundle of egg-like pokémon hummed in discomfort at the sight of another foreign opponent. Meli buzzed softly as she hovered in the rain, the rapid beat of the elytra nearly an umbrella against the pelting rain. "No holding back Exeggcute, we're going to start of hard and strong. Go with a Psychic!"Truthfully her pink bundle of joyful eggs did much better in sunlight than rain, but Beth was certain they still had a decent shot at this. The group of eggs shouted affirmatively and began to build up power. However, they wouldn't be nearly fast enough. The speedy little fly wasted no time in going into action, fluffing herself up and speeding up her wing beats in order to generate the silvery breeze that sparkled through the air. The rain only made the attack even more of a spectacle as sparkles of light bounced off of every drop; a true show of beauteous light dancing in the storm. Something the distant strikes of thunder and lightning could be proud of as the wind struck the stationary Exeggcute. In a brilliant flash each egg was swept up and tumbled about; the light blinding the poor things making it impossible for each to stick a landing. It had only been a moment, but Meli's single attack left a scattered exeggcute along the route. "Oh!" Beth gasped, quickly running over to collect her babies to ensure they were alright. "Wow! Well that was a swift victory Aphrodite. My congratulations," she began, turning her head to smile at the young fairy master as she gathered the pieces of exeggcute together so she could recall the group back into their pokéball. "Phew! That was certainly a treat! We've got quite a bit of training left to do it seems, but you. I'm sure you're going to have no trouble going further in your journey." Beth dug her hands into the central apron pocket and pulled out a small bundle of things. "Here! Please, take these with you; for your victory and a gift!
