Moves: Screech, Glare, Acid, Bite Dorthea held her breath while the ball wiggled. She had every expectation it wouldn't work on the first try, and tensed in anticipation for the ball to break and the Butterfree to burst out in an attack. When it didn't happen, Dorthea blinked in surprise and stood stunned for a moment. It had clicked shut? Dorthea neared the Sports Ball with precaution, but it was completely still, and in the end she picked it up. Nimrod had followed her more curious, and looked on as she took their prize. Dorthea smiled. "Would you look at that. We got ourselves a contestant." Dorthea counted on her fingers. "And we still got one encounter to go..." She pondered the options for a bit, and then shrugged. "We might as well see it to the end. Let's see what this park has in store for our final round." Nimrod nodded along with her, as she started walking again, but it just looked like he was imitating her movements. Wordcount: 165

Sport Balls Left: 13 5/5 Encounters
The national park even this late in the contest was still home to a bunch of rare Pokemon however in this case an uncommon Pokemon decided to play Dorthea a visit. A Dustox who had been trying to avoid all the humans scurrying around tha park nearly flew right into Dorthea. It was not great news for the bug but as the contest was nearly over all it had to do was defeat her and it would be safe until the next contest or so it hoped anyway.

Moves: Screech, Glare, Acid, Bite It was funny how the bug types had a tendency to almost fly straight into Dorthea. Having already got aquainted with Dustox from the first encounter in the Park, Dorthea wasted no time in thinking through options. "Glare and Screech, Nimmy." Came her immediate instinct, and Nimrod was quick to follow. He was really a wonder, always doing what told without hesitation. Not like a certain someone else, who refused to listen to her in anything. Wordcount: 76

Sport Balls Left: 13 5/5 Encounters (Dustox [Shield Dust]: Paralyzed, -1 ATK, -2 DEF) Dustox received all kind of evil eyes from the slithering predator. The flying bug didn't feel comfortable with this at all, first considering whether it should attack at all and possibly provoke even greater retaliation from the snake and next it was feeling like its very own muscles were against it. It had planned on bolstering its own defenses to start but the spasms of paralysis disagreed. Nimrod then released an ear shattering screech. Now the moth was very put out, shaking and its heart not really in this fight anymore. Still... it had to defend itself. Maybe a little would be just enough to get rid of the ekans. The wild pokémon's antennae lit up with a purple energy, drawing Nimmy's eye just long enough to end a wash of dizziness throughout his mind. He was able to shake off the feeling before it settled thankfully. *Running Shoes exhausted

Moves: Screech, Glare, Acid, Bite Dorthea couldn't feel bad about having the upper hand with Nimrod's useful glare and impressive sound. Especially, when she noticed the Dustox' response which looked like the confusion she had feared from the Butterfree. She hadn't noticed it from her first encounter, but she realised that could have been the reason for their early struggle. Confusion was bad news for poor Nimmy. All the more reason to make quick work of the threat. "Bite, Nimmy. We better not let it get a foot to the ground."Wordcount: 86

Sport Balls Left: 13 5/5 Encounters (Dustox [Shield Dust]: Paralyzed, -1 ATK, -2 DEF) Nimmy scored a Critical Hit with Bite. Dustox knew it was in for a fight with it's defense lowered and being paralyzed however it had to try and fight back even in a lopsided battle such as this. Before it could get anything started however Nimmy slithered up towards it and launched his entired body at the mouth chomping down on one of it's wings. Things did not go as planned however as he scored a Critical Hit at a really poor time. The bug type Pokemon could barely withstand the pain as it launched numerous waves of confusing psychic energy to force Nimmy to release his grip though the damage had already been done by now. He was in some pain as the attack ended but Dustox was in far worse shape.

Moves: Screech, Glare, Acid, Bite "Good one, Nimmy." Dorthea praised when his bite pulled down the bug and limited its movements even more. "One more time, and then we can go home." Dorthea was about done with bugs for today, though it had been an interesting trip. She wasn't averse to doing it again another time, but she just wanted to get back to Aglaia now and tell her all about it. Nimrod was shaking slightly though, and he didn't react immediately on her praise. Actually, he was hesitating in going in again. Dorthea worried her lip, and squatted down to get nearer his level. "It's alright, Nimmy. I know it got you bad before, and you're tired afterr having battled so much, but it's really the last one. We leave as soon as it stops moving. You are holding up great." She tried to encourage him. It worked well enough for him to at least make the effort of moving after the Dustox once more. Wordcount: 161

Nimmy was still a bit shaken from the Dustox's attack along with the realization of just how much damage he had done to the bug type. It was not even worth capturing Dustox in the shape it was in but it made for a great target for Nimmy to practice on again. As Dorthea gave the order he struck the bug again with his fangs this time scoring a knockout blow. Just as the excitement seemed to die down he began glowing in a bright white light as his time to evolve had finally come.
Nimmy gained 1 level and he is now level 22. He is trying to evolve and if he does he can learn Crunch but he already knows 4 moves. Would you like him to evolve and forget a move to learn Crunch?
The following Pokemon will be entered for the contest. Level: 15 HP: 61% Sport Balls Used: 1

Moves: Screech, Glare, Acid, Bite Dorthea cheered when the Dustox was defeated and ran to Nimrod to embrace him for his good work. She startled him utterly, and she didn't even notice he had been glowing briefly, before she interrupted the process. "I knew you could do it! Now, let's get back to the entrance and wait for the others. Then you can have a rest too." Nimrod curled around her in response to her warm embrace. He could almost cover her entire frame now, but his hold was lighter as he didn't try to squish her for real. She chuckled. "When did you grow so big? I didn't even notice." Dorthea shrugged and went on her way back, sneaking out of the grass, so she wouldn't meet any more of the inhabitants today. With how big Nimrod was, it was a bit more troublesome to move, but she didn't mind his closeness. He was still a great hugger. Wordcount: 154
