Pixie made her way back to Voilet city, she noticed a coach she hadn't seen before and wondered over. She found out that it was a contest of sorts, a bug contest. She sitgned up and took her trusty Frilish Mary. Once she was dropped off she started to panic about the contest. But here she was ready to catch some bug pokemon.

Pixie's eyebrow raised as she noticed the purple Pokemon, the bug Pokemon seemed to like her as this was the second one she accoutered. But this one was missing Skadi's pretty blue eyes so with this she aimed to catch it, after all she needed at least one pokemon to enter. Use ice beam twice Mary!

Sport Balls Left: 15 1/5 Encounters Mary did as instructed, locking eyes with the big-eyed wild pokémon and launching a powerful ice beam attack. The attack glistened, crackling and sparking with excessive power as it struck Venonat dead on and sent it rolling backward. The bug shivered as it lay on its back, a little shocked at the strength of the opponent. Struggling to get on its feet Venonat sent a wave of psychic energy Mary's way, though it did almost nothing. In the next moment a second Ice Beam engulfed the poor bug and sent it into unconsciousness.  Mary grew to LV 19!

Pixie looked happy as her ghost type fired off an ice move. She cheered on her lovable Pokemon. Venonat didn't do much damage which Pixie was happy about, but felt a little terrible as Mary's move smashed into the Pokemon once again. Making the bug type tumble backwards and flee into the grass, "Oh dear, guess we'll have to try again. Lets hope for something different!" she cheered on her Pokemon.

After a long walk the second Pokemon popped up, Pixie gasped and her eyes narrowed what was that? The blue bug was confusing and scared the young trainer. "Oh wow Mary, what is that? let's use Ice beam!" she called out. Mary was ready to hit the blue Pokemon.

Sport Balls Left: 15 2/5 Encounters The frosty beam of light blew through the tall grass and slammed into the exotic bug pokémon. Karrablast wheeled back, tumbling a little ways with a screech. A little dizzy from the impact it was slow to recover, but it did get up. The blue shelled pokémon scuttled through the grass and lunged out, aiming to peck at the ghostly fish with the horn on its head. It was a valiant effort.

Pixie was proud of her strange Pokemon. She was powerful but luck was on her side that she didn't just k.o it. Reaching into her bag and pulled out the strange ball given to her with the words echoing in her mind. Use these if you are found it be using any other you will be disqualified. So that was that an easy chose she threw the Sport ball.

Sport Balls Left: 15 2/5 Encounters The silvery ball shone in the afternoon light, striking against the blue shelled bug with a flash. The pokémon disappeared inside. It didn't even shake once. The sport ball signaled its success! Pixie was happy at her catch she and Mary gave a victory jump. They had something to turn in they were not sure if it would net them a lot of points. But something is a lot better then nothing and it looked rare too. But she didn't know for sure, so she carried on her search. "Let's go Mary, we got a lot more bug finding to do!"

Sport Balls Left: 14 Encounters: 3/5 As Pixie continued her search her luck was about to shhot up exponentially. She walked throughthe tall grass when suddenly a Scyther with a slightly different coloration appeared before her. The mantis hardly seemed phased byher presence as all it cared about was a battle. It waited forher to make a move while sharpening the blades on it's arms hoping for a good fight.

Pixie's jaw dropped as the Pokemon showed it's self, first of all it was a rare and it was an off shade. Pixie wondered if that meant it was like Skadi she wasn't sure but she wanted to catch it as much as the Pokemon before. "Let's go Mary, we-ll use Night shade!" she called out. While grabbing a sports ball and throwing it at the sparkling Pokemon.

Sport Balls Left: 14 Encounters: 3/5 The beautifully coloured Scyther showed off its incredible speed, racing across the grass at a lightning pace. Before Mary had even had time to consider her own order, the mantis had slashed through her ghostly form with a dark blade. The Pursuit left the Frillish a little worse for wear in truth, but she wasn't so easily slain. Mary responded with a powerful strike of her own, a Night Shade leaving her body and enveloping Scyther. The Bug backed off a little to allow itself to recuperate, dazed from the move but certainly not out.

Pixie gasped as Mary got hit by the fast Pokemon, it was loads of levels below but still faster. Pixie bit her lip in fear she wondered if this could work. "Mary good attack now use recover!" after both Pokemon had used their moves. She tried to capture the Pokemon in a sports ball.
