Scyther buzzed forward, nearly invisible against the grassy sea as it sprinted toward Mary. The ghost closed her eyes, expecting soon after to be riddled with another wash of sharp pain, but nothing came. A cold tickle flowed through her body and shortly afterward there was a confused chirp from her opponent. Mary opened her eyes, beaming a smile as the attack proved false against her. Taking advantage of Scyther's confusion she quickly went about recovering her own vitality as Pixie instructed, and not long after the ball was thrown.

The sport ball cracked against the mantis' carapace, the pokémon swiftly being swallowed inside. The ball shook violently in the grass, a large portion of the tall blades surrounding jostling like they were hit with a breeze. A second wave of resilience came. Then a third. It was the final seconds which seemed to take an age, but when the eon had passed the ball clicked.

Pixie was pretty happy with her a capture but she wanted to see what else she could get it if should get something better. So she adventured on "Let's go Mary we got more to explore!"

As Pixie and Mary explored more of the National Park they came across a large beautiful bug Pokemon known as a Beautifly. It was an uncommon sight in the park but not quite as rare as the Scyther she had encountered earlier. The butterfly Pokemon was quite curious of her as it looked at her wondering what the human would do next as it was not exactly the most common Pokemon to encounter and some of it's friends had been captured by other trainers for that reason.

Pixie saw the Pokemon and her ears twitched. While she didn't want it right now it was to be good experience. The pretty pokemon danced in front of her and she knew one day she'd have to have it. Have too! but as right now. "Mary, use ice beam!"

Had Beautifly not been so young it might have stood a chance against Mary but it's young age slowed it down just enough for Mary to move first. A beam of ice formed at her mouth until she could no longer hold onto it. She fired the beam right at Beautifly who landed on the ground with a loud thud knocked out as a result of the attack.

Mary fought well and gained 1 level. She is now level 22. She is trying to learn Water Pulse but she already knows 4 moves. Would you like her to forget a move so she can learn Water Pulse?

Pixie was happy but sad, she one shot the young Pokemon. But she was happy her Pokemon was getting stronger, and she could learn a new move. Pixie and Mary agree that recover would be forgotten for the new strong water move. "one more Mary lets see what we get!" she said happily.

Pixie's final attempt to encounter another Pokemon would bare some fruit but unfortunately the fruit it bore came in the form of a common Pokemon known as a Caterpie. It was at a decent level so Mary would get something out of the battle but it was not a very impressive find in any other way. The poor Caterpie had no real hopes of escaping but due to it's common status it was not terribly worried about anything other than being knocked out.

Pixie smiled at the small bug pokemon while feeling bad for it, she didn't wanna catch it as she had a better Pokemon to her name. She wasn't sure it was going to win it wasn't likely too but it was better shot then this tiny bug. "Mary use ice beam"

The small caterpie stared up in awe at the sparkle of colors forming around the strange floating pokémon it'd encountered. Mouth slightly agape, the beam struck the bug type without fail and nearly encased it in ice. A hardened stump of an unconscious pokémon was thrown through the grass, lost in the green sea as the buzzer to finish sounded.

Mary grew to LV 23!
