Next in the firing line and quite enjoying all of the bustle of the Contest, Caterpie seemed to have no idea what this Fire lizard had in store for it. In a matter of seconds, as he had done so many times prior, Flint let loose a string of Embers. The small cinders once again razed the ground around the Bug typed opponent and, more importantly, left said opponent unconscious almost instantly. Poor. Caterpie. Sad. Face.  Flint gained 750 EXP for that win and +1 Happiness! But... don't you feel bad, Tyler? D: |

With the Caterpie no longer a problem Tyler was desperate to get in one more encounter. His contest run was nearly over and he had not even caught anything yet. This next encounter was going to be his last chance to catch something at least. He had already made up his mind to catch whatever it was just so he would not leave empty handed. He was just hoping his luck would turn around so whatever he caught would be worth all the effort. Flint was the only one to really benefit so far and even then he had not gained any new moves. " Luck do not fail me now. Make this last encounter a good one." He said as he searched high and low in the grass.

Tyler had an amazing stroke of luck on his last encounter as a Shelmet appeared. It was one of the rarest bugs one could encounter in the contest. Tyler had connections who could get him a Scyther or Pinsir but Shelmet and Karrablast were far harder to locate an breed for his sources so he knew he had to capture this one. " Go Sport Ball, Capture that elusive Shelmet." He said as he finally got a chance to try and capture something for the contest.

Sport Balls Left: 14 5/5 Encounters The Sport Ball whipped through the air and slammed into the hard carapace of Shelmet, a loud snap cracking the air. The wild pokémon was flushed inside; but it didn't stay there long. A flash of red followed. The ball broke. Shelmet reappeared with narrowed eyes. From its heart pursed lips it spit out a spray of acid that caught on Flint's arm and caused a mild burning sensation. It was kind of pitiful really.

Tyler's first capture attempt did not go as planned but it did not bother him too badly knowing how tricky Shelmet could be to capture. Flint hardly took any damage from the bug types free turn so he was not very worried for the time being. " So you are fighting back? Good I love a fighter. It makes me want you even more. Let's see if this Sport Ball is more your size." He said as he tossed another Sport Ball.

The wild rocking seemed to grow steadily worse before abruptly ceasing with a loud click, signalling a successful capture!  ShelmetName: [choose] Gender: [choose] Level: 17 Moves: Acid, Bide, Curse, Struggle Bug Ability: Hydration OR Shell Armor Nature/Personality: [choose] If you choose to keep this Pokemon at the end of the contest, it will be added to Tyler's PC.
Flint gained +850 EXP and grew to Level 27!
Gained +1 Happiness.

Tyler's luck had finally been kind to him. He had successfully captured the Shelmet he was after. It was quite a good thing too as he had used up all of his encounters to find it. He would have to wait and see the final results but as Shelmet was the only Pokemon he captured in the contest it was going to be his entry. ShelmetName: Sir Snailfordshire Gender: Male Level: 17 Moves: Acid, Bide, Curse, Struggle Bug Ability: Shell Armor Nature/Personality: Sir Snailfordshire is a very loyal Pokemon to Tyler. He takes advantage of his armor to act as a shild for him and does not fear bodily harm. He can hardly wait to evolve so his strength will grow even more so he can serve Tyler even better. OOC: Tyler is out of encounters. He submits Shelmet as the Pokemon to be judged. Sir Snailfordshire will be placed in his pc after the contest. |
