[atrb=background,http://i44.tinypic.com/1073yb8.jpg] Pandora was humming and gliding on a breeze, it was a beautiful day and the Bug Catching Contest was underway. Lin was paying less attention to the weather and had her nose in every bush they passed hoping that something exiting would show itself. Pandora on the other hand was trying to get as much attention as possible, showing off her graceful blue form to the other trainers and guests at the park, because normally Lin adored her, but today it was like she was invisible or something, it was all very frustrating how no one was paying attention to her and none of the trainers they meet wanted to battle, they just hurried on after a brief hello or good luck, strange humans. Lin could feel her heart beating fast, it was competition day and everything was absolutely beautiful in the park, if they could just find a pokemon that was, so far all she had found was another trainers Skitty and panic was setting in, it would be so embarrassing to end the competition empty handed, so here she was sticking her head into anything with leaves and looking up into every tree they passed, hoping that this would be the lucky one.

[atrb=background,http://i44.tinypic.com/1073yb8.jpg] Lin was startled to spot a small Cutiefly buzzing around Pandora admiring her soft wings, so careful not to scare it away, Lin called in a hushed voice to Pandora. “Try to use Sing on your new friend there, I want to try and capture it unharmed, alright.” The blue bird pokemon responded by swooping around coming face to face with Cutiefly, so it could sing it a lullaby.

Pandora took advantage of Cutiefly's friendly proximity to sing a soothing lullaby. Cutiefly fell asleep dreaming of soft, fluffy, cloud wings! But it seems to be a very light sleep.

[atrb=background,http://i44.tinypic.com/1073yb8.jpg] As the special ball did not even give a shake Lin did a little happy dance, this was a good first effort, but they needed to do better to win, so she looked up to Pandora. “See if you can spot another one, let’s try over by those trees.” Pointing them out, Lin started running in direction of the trees, while the shadow of Pandora raced past her to scout out potential pokemon and push them out into the open.

In the meantime Pandora turned around and approached the purple furry thing that Lin had tripped over in the first place, it had big eyes and she did not like it one bit. Not waiting for Lin, Pandora swooped forward to deliver a well earned Peck attack to the creepy little bug thing.

Swiftly the cloud feathered bird swooped in and defended her trainer, pecking into the large eyed bug. The purple furry insect squealed in pain, panicking a response. Venonat easily caught Pandora's eye and a loud ringing screeched in the swablu's ears. Retreating to hover by Lin Pandora was having difficulty coordinating thoughts to do a repeat of what she had just done.

It was not really an uncommon pokemon on these parts, but how had she not seen it? Further thoughts was blocked completely out by a horrid screech from the hurt bug pokemon and Lin had to cover her ears, however Pandora lacked the hands to do the same and Lin watched her struggle in dealing with the noise. “Use Fury Attack now!” Yelling out the order, Lin hoped that Pandora would be able to respond to it.

Pandora was more than upset that she had lost the use of an attack she had known for very long. But the sound of Lin believing in her and ordering a different attack. Made her fire a Fury attack with great strength. The sharpened projectile fired at the bug pokemon striking it 4 times and but the Venanot still stood with little to no health. It's eyes glowed a bright red colour once again and fired of confusion that damaged Pandora but did not confuse her.

Lin knew she had to make a decition quickly and surprisingly the answear came easy, this pokemon was not for her, the right one would come along, of that she was sure, as she ordered another set of Fury attacks from Pandora. The bird pokemon would be glad to see the end of this one and it’s annoying attacks.

Venonat just wasn't making friends today. It was all it could do to watch the blue bird soar in and make another series of pecks before it was lost to the thick grass.

Lin rested her hand against the rough bark, feeling it beneath her fingers. This was sure to be the home of many pokemon and she trusted Pandora to find them, they still had time left to find something truly special or make a new friend.
