Sport Balls Left: 14 3/5 Encounters There was definitely something in the tree, but perhaps not the most friendliest of new friends. As the trainer took a moment's reprieve to lose herself in the undulations of bark a sudden visitor dropped in from above. Hanging from a thin sticky string was a golden cocoon. A wild Kakuna appeared!

A startled Lin jumped several feet in the air as the cocoon drop down right next to her and had to take several steps back before taking a closer look at the odd thing, which her pokedex told her was a Kakuna. It was not the best feeling in the world, according to the pokedex it was quite common and if the tumors was true it’s evolution could be quite mean spirited too. No this was not the pokemon they needed to win. “Pandora, use Peck on Kakuna and be aware of the string.” Why could it not be an awesome Scyther, or a cute little Sewaddle?

Sport Balls Left: 14 3/5 Encounters Kakuna: +1 Defence Pandora set her sights on the apparently underwhelming Kakuna, swooping in fiercely to land a quick blow on the yellow-brown pupa before it even knew what was coming its way. The Bug, though, didn't seem too bothered by any of this. Its body shimmered brightly as it hardened up, preparing itself for the attacks that were to come. It was ready. Probably. Maybe.

This Kakuna was no match for Pandora and the swift justice she dealt it. Urged on by Lin, Pandora prepared to deal it another blow, using Peck once more, this Kakuna would soon be gone and they would be free to further explore which pokemon was hiding in the might tree.

Sport Balls Left: 14 3/5 Encounters Kakuna: +2 Defence With a determined nod Pandora swooped in for another easy peck at the dangling Kakuna. The cocoon twirled with the hit, sent spinning with the momentum of the attack. However, once again it just sat there. Quietly. Another sheen overtaking its hardened body as it stared bug-eyed at the two.

This would seem like a good moment to heal up, but Lin was not blind to what Kakuna was doing and how it could affect them if they waited. “Keep it up, another Peck should send it spinning.” She had faith in her pokemon to manage this task.

The resolute Kakuna could only do so much, it seemed. This Swablu was unrelenting in her assault on the hardened warrior and she swooped in to Peck once more. Kakuna tried to toughen up further, its outer shell just starting to glint as it had before, but Pandora's attack was a little quicker than it might've liked. The Bug type spun around on its thread, not making a sound and not even responding this time. One could probably assume that this meant it had been knocked out. Probably. Well. Yes, it had been.
 Pandora gained 2 levels, reaching Level 21, and +1 Happiness, reaching +7! Pandora can learn Natural Gift! Should she? |

With Kakuna out of the way they were now free to pursue their next encounter, so Lin circled the tree looking up into the green leaves squinting her eyes. Pleased with herself Pandora soared upwards gliding between branches and leaves curiously searching for a new opponent to present to Lin, she could sense that this was quite important to her trainer and she wanted Lin to be proud of her, like the day they fought Falkner.

Pandora flew around the odd Metapod leaf humming louder to get Lin’s attention and sure enough it got her trainers attention, Lin however did not look happy at all, groaning. Lin felt frustrated, knowing full well that time was running out and that no one would be impressed by this pokemon and her feelings clearly translated in her tone. “Hit it with Peck, hurry up we don’t got much time left.” Pandora found the thing very odd indeed and was happy to do so.

Sport Balls Left: 14 4/5 Encounters Metapod used Harden and now has +1 defense. Pandora pecked the Metapod with all of her might be put even her best effort was not quite enough to break trough the hard shell of the bug type Pokemon. The attack did a considerable amount of damage but Metapod was still in the fight. To add insult to injury Metapod used Harden to boost it's defenses making it even harder to finish off.

Pandora delivered a fine hit on Metapod, sadly it was not enough to bring it down, but soon enough it would be. “Nice one girl, one more time.”

The Metapod still though that bybusing Harden that it was being smart but Pandora was not having anynofnit. She flew over to the bug type Pokemon and pecked it right between the eyes this time nearly cracking the cocoon right in half. As the bug screeched in pain Pandora celebrated a rather easy victory.
Pandora fought well and gained 1 level. She is now level 22. She also gained 1 happiness and she now has +8 happiness overall. OOC: For some reason the running shoes note did not load for me. Thankfully I was able to grab this again to make up for it. |

With this one out of the way Lin was getting a tad bit desperate knowing she was running out of time. “Keep looking up there and I try to look down here, let me know if you find anything girl.” Once again Pandora disappeared between the leaves of the treetop, while Lin started searching the nearby bushes with a sense that this would be their final encounter.

Sport Balls Left: 14 5/5 Encounters As Lin rustled through the bushes her hand was cross over some smooth red feelers. Perking, a tall mustachioed bug type stood and skittered a few feet away. It raised a sharp hand to the sky, rubbing the feeler that the woman had touched, rocking its head to the side and releasing a cricketing noise. A wild Kricketune was found!
