Damien had a good idea in theory to try and throw off the Zangoose with Twister but in practice the mongoose was just a little too intelligent to back down from her Quick Attack rampage. It was not a very powerful move but whenever Cyrus did not use the same attack he would not be able to strike first. Before Cyrus could flap his wings enough to summon a twister Zangoose made her move as she ran towards the bird Pokemon with her claws extended ready to cause as much damage as she could. A brief swipe of her claw against Cyrus's upper torso caused a decent amount of damage but it could not stop the bird from getting off an attack of his own. He flapped his wings at an amazingly fast speed until the force of his wings was enough to summon a mighty Twister on the battlefield that headed straight for Zangoose while she was still celebrating her successful strike. Not paying attention to what was going on proved a very costly mistake as the Twister lifted her up into the air in a circular motion before releasing her right into a nearby tree. At first the impact caused her to slump over but after a few seconds she managed to wake back up not quite ready to give up yet. She was not in great shape by any means but she still had a little bit of fight in her. Zangoose still could not help but feel that something was wrong as Twister was not quite as useful as Quick Attack and it began speculating what Damien planned to do in the next round. It's health was in the red and it might not be able to break free if he tried to capture it and that caused the mongoose to worry a little bit. Wild Battle
Wild Zangoose | Level 18 | Female HP: 16% (10/59 HP) Status: Normal Zangoose used Quick Attack! VS
Damien's Cyrus | Level 24 | Keen Eye HP: 60% (41/81 HP) Status: Normal Cyrus used Twister!OOC: I realized Cyrus's hp was 10 points too low in the last round so I adjusted for this round. He should of had 53 hp.

Zangoose wasn't about to let up any advantage it had, and quick attack was certainly a good one. Especially when the ranger had decided to not make use of the move himself. Though, that got the wild pokémon suspicious of his motives. He was a little surprised at how swiftly the zangoose picked up on such small hints like that. It brought even more of a smile to his face. It may make it harder to catch her now but honestly the more he watched of the mongoose the more he liked. Now if only he could get Andromeda to agree.
[break] [break] "Right, I think it's time I stepped in," he commented as Cyrus partially turned his head to listen to the next set of orders. The bird was a little surprised to find out the intent of capture but wouldn't do anything to object. The one in his lap however protested loudly. The shinx hissed and wriggled, Damien having to adjust his grip immediately or lose his grip of the electric pokémon. "No!" came his shout as he regained control. "This is a problem..." he fumed quietly. Andromeda had gone still but he knew the moment he let up she'd be gone.
[break] [break] "Just... Sand Attack Cyrus," he ordered with half a thought. He didn't want to take so long the zangoose got the drop on his pidgeotto whilst Damien fussed with his little problem. So while that continued he went about adjusting his posture to trap her with the help of his legs as he removed a hand from her. The young lad reached for Booker's pokéball. With a tap the faithful hound emerged, tail wagging.
[break] "Need your help buddy. Your job is to keep her put." He gestured to the shinx in his arms then turned his attention to Simourv, "... And you can help," he added. Booker barked happily then bunkered down into a more serious stance, eying Andromeda; of who glared back at him. "Ready?"
[break] [break] He let go. Immediately the shinx erupted from his lap in zangoose's direction, but the herdier was faster. He cut her off, swept around, and picked her up by the scruff. The canine then trot back to Damien's side with a cheery wag while Andromeda fumed. "Andromeda, stay." Booker put her down and she stayed. Though it was likely only because she couldn't see an easy way around Booker and Simourv had covered the back. The shinx stayed poised, staring at the distant zangoose just waiting for the opportunity to break away and have another go.
[break] [break] "Sorry to keep you waiting," Damien apologized to the wild pokémon once again, adjusting his hat and withdrawing a special pokéball. "You're quite the pokémon Zangoose. I know this wasn't exactly the showing you were probably hoping for but..." he trailed off, activating the empty timer ball in his hands. "Let's see where it takes us." With a deep breath he threw the special ball into the air. He took a moment to muse silently to himself at the semi-matching design of the ball to the pokémon he intended to capture.

Zangoose was in a pretty desperate situation as it was but any chance it got to unleash another attack it was going to take and as Damien hesitated for the fraction of a second trying to control his young Shinx Zangoose acted on pure adrenaline alone as she unleashed another Quick Attack on Cyrus before he could get off his Sand Attack. The mongoose still failed to bring down the bird but the damage was starting to take its toll on him as Zangoose got ready to strike again while Damien worked with his Pokemon to get Andromeda to stay put. Before she could take advantage of the situation however he was able to pull out a Timer Ball which mesmerized Zangoose enough to stop her attack plans in their tracks. The rather odd looking ball was like nothing she had ever seen before and as she fixated on the ball she did not even realize he had tossed it at her. The ball struck her right between the eyes before trapping the Zangoose inside in a bright red flash. As reality set in Zangoose desperately rocked the inside of the ball to break free but with each passing second the lock on the ball grew stronger. The ball rocked once and then twice without issue and a few seconds later it rocked one final time before clicking shut bringing an end to the hard fought battle and sealing Zangoose's fate as well as she now belonged to him much to her dismay. Cyrus was lucky he did not have to face another strike from the mongoose but Andromeda would likely be displeased that she would not get the chance to finish the battle as much as she wanted to. Even so she did get a little stronger from her participation and so did Cyrus. Only time would tell if Andromeda would get another chance to fight a Zangoose but the length of the battle along with the noise caused by the hard won battle would likely not fall on deaf ears. There had to have been some curious Pokemon nearby that would come to check out what had happened if Damien stuck around. Cyrus gained 1 level and 1 happiness for his victory. He is now level 25 with 0/1951 experience towards his next level and +2 happiness. Simourv gained 1 level thanks to his EXP Share and he is now level 22. Andromeda gains 1 level and 1 happiness for her participation. She is now level 17 with +1 happiness. She is trying to learn Bite but she already knows 4 moves. Would you like her to forget a move so she can learn Bite? A well of excitement built up in his chest as he went over to collect his new zangoose. She was a tough one, proud, quiet and collected... A very self-disciplined pokémon that he had never even considered for his team before now. His mind had been so filled with the stereotypical companions he saw in movies and the general exposure to the patrol officers' parties. But this zangoose had been so strikingly composed even when the target of his, sad to say, bloodthirsty little minx over there.
[break] "I'll name you... Ferra," he mumbled into the ball as it shrunk and disappeared from his hand. With his party full he'd have to pick her up later from his storage. Damien took a deep breath and put his mind back onto the blue furry problem he had stewing. "Well Andromeda..." he started, turning around to lay eyes on the annoyed feline. Their eyes met. She was still miffed, but there was a look of understanding about her. A puzzled twitch went across the ranger's face just before it happened.
[break] [break] Andromeda lit up in a ball of light. For a moment Damien was excited. She was evolving. Somehow he doubted it was all a good thing. The shinx barely had any real experience yet, and after that last battle he wasn't sure that she was evolving for a good reason. That determined stare a moment before... She wanted to be stronger so as to not be shown up by another like zangoose, or maybe it was so that Booker wouldn't have such an easy time stopping her next time. It was hard to say. Damien still wanted to trust her and there was still a good sign that when he had contained her in his arms she didn't do anything to harm him; nor any of his other pokémon. Perhaps it was just a thing with Ferra.
[break] [break] Once the light had died down Andromeda stood anew. Larger, tougher, and seemed to have relaxed a little. She swished her tail back and forth, shaking her body as if drying herself off, then sat on her haunches. A good sign. The boy smirked and relaxed a bit himself.
[break] "Congrats Andromeda," he began, getting a quiet purr from the electric pokémon. "If you can behave yourself we'll continue our training." The luxio twitched her nose and gave an affirmative noise. Booker huffed in response, getting a look from Andromeda of which the pup just chuckled off with an excited wag of his tail. Damien smiled. "Alright everyone, back inside for now. Those clouds seem kinda heavy."
[break] [break] It wasn't long after that that it began to snow. Damien pulled his vest in tighter and found a spot with decent tree cover where he could dig through his bag and bring out his full jacket. The temperature drop wasn't ideal, but after that last battle he couldn't afford to call it a day. Andromeda needed some work, and he was out here looking for something else too. He hoped to accomplish at least one of these goals before the end of the day but the day was over half over by this point.
[break] [break] Adorned in gloves and a tucking his scarf tightly around his neck the ranger proceeded wandering route 34 in search of another potential opponent for his training.

As Damien searched the snow covered route in hopes of finding a Pokemon to train against he saw what at first appeared to be a iceberg or strange colored rock with dirt covered arms but as he approached it became clear that the iceberg was in fact a Pokemon known as Binacle that was reported as swarming in the area recently. The arms suddenly started to shake as he approached and he could see a face on each arm looking right at him quite curious about him as few trainers dared to leave the streets of Goldenrod in weather like this. After pausing for a moment the rocky Pokemon crawled towards Damien trying to get a better look at him. The snow covered ground was quite cold for the faces on its arms to bare but if it meant learning more about the strange human the discomfort would be worth it. The weather might not have been ideal but the water type could not help getting excited the closer it got to Damien and once it was a few feet away there was no doubt in its mind that it wanted to battle the young trainer to see how strong he really was. Being out in weather like this took guts and Binacle really respected that as it had been training so it could evolve and if it could defeat this trainer it just might get a few steps closer to that goal. After staring at the young man another moment it started to pound its arms on the ground hoping Damien would get the message that it wanted to battle. As it waited to see if Damien would accept its challenge it got ready to strike trying to make up for its rather slow speed. If Damien did accept its challenge it was not going to waste any time in launching an attack as speed was not something Binacle were known for and it could not afford to waste any time if Damien accepted its challenge. A wild Binacle (Level 18) appeared, would you like to battle or run?

Even as Damien drew nearer the odd bulge in the snow he was at a loss of what he was looking at. A pokémon no doubt, but what? It seemed this was as good as any time to bring out the device the professor had handed him for his journey. Once the scan was complete and the general information on the being was brought on the screen the ranger had a light bulb go on.
[break] "Ah, of course. I forgot." The young lad brought his eyes up from the device to see the wild pokémon making its way closer. It had an unfortunate way of travel in this weather it seemed. Each slap to the frosty ground bringing a momentary shiver to that rocky body. "I heard the name on the radio a little while ago, but this is the first time I've gotten to see one of you," he commented to the barnacle with a smile.
[break][break] There was no mistaking Binacle's intention given its response. "Alright then," he replied. A determined look coming across his face as he reached for one of his pokéballs. He paused a second, taking another glance at the information the pokédex was displaying before closing the device and pocketing it. "Andromeda will have to wait," he muttered moreso to himself than to the Binacle. He was about to grab Simourv before remembering the rufflet had the exp share, then redirected his fingers to wrap around Tarder's ball.
[break][break] "Come on out Tardar. I've got a good opponent for you." The panda emerged in the typical flash of light to stand before the wild binacle. She stared dully at her alleged opponent and frowned. The light flow of snowflakes landing on her warm fur only made her even less up for a battle. Before she could turn her head and pass her trainer a pleading look to choose someone else the boy gave her some encouragement. "This is a rare opportunity girl, and I know your fists are up to it. Binacle's looking for a good match and I saw what you did earlier. Remember ponyta?" he paused a moment to allow the little bear to mull over his words. The pancham half turned to give Damien brief look before returning to the wild pokémon standing before her.
[break][break] "Alright, let's get right into it with a Karate Chop." Tardar rolled her shoulders and took a deep breath, moving the leaf between her teeth to the other side of her mouth. She eyed the long claws attached to the tops of the each face sticking out of the odd rock. This pokémon didn't look too friendly.

The battle hungry Binacle did not think much of Tardar when selected her to be its first opponent as the panda was neither a large of very intimidating Pokemon but it was not going to turn the panda down regardless as it knew looks could sometimes be deceiving. Its own looks would cause most trainers to let down their guard either out of fright seeing a Pokemon with faces on its hands or because they did not think Binacle were a Pokemon to be feared. Damien however had done neither and Binacle was not entirely sure what the trainer was up to as Tardar went to make the first move of the battle as she slightly outpaced the strange looking Pokemon. Binacle had extended its claws anticipating the panda would use a physical move to start things off but from the very start of her attacks things started to go wrong for rocky Pokemon as it lost its footing trying to focus too much on Tardar and not enough on its surroundings as it stepped in a small hole. After freeing its let Tardar had already gotten within striking range and dealt a powerful Karata Chop dead center on Binacle's head. The super effective nature of the attack did not do Binacle any favors but to make things worse Tardar's attack was boosted by her ability adding to the damage. Binacle tried with all of its might to endure the attack but Tardar had managed to score just enough of her paw on its head to seal its fate. As Binacle slumped over from the single blow Tardar had conquered the unfriendly Pokemon against the odds in the first round. Binacle as it turned out was not as tough as it had made itself out to be and despite its unfriendly nature it regretted picking a fight with Damien. Binacle did get a small break though as Tardar was not expecting a single turn knockout that she did not see two fellow Binacle walk towards their comrade until after they already had to knocked out Pokemon on their back trying to carry it away. Though it was an unfortunate missed opportunity to capture a swarming Pokemon there would likely come another chance down the line to capture one. Wild Battle

Damien's Tardar | Level 23 | Iron Fist HP: 100% (64/70 HP) Status: Normal Tardar used Karate Chop!

[nospaces] Damien blinked a few times. He stood there, unmoving, as the binacle's allies carried it away in the wake of the surprisingly short fight. Once they were out of sight he chuckled quietly for a brief moment. The sound almost came out as half a laugh. Tardar's ears perked at the noise, her head turning round to view Damien from the side. The boy quieted, regaining his composure and giving the little bear a bright smile. [break] "Well done Tardar, I knew you had it in you," came the compliment. The pancham looked to the snow covered ground shyly. The smallest trickle of a smile edged on her face before she sighed, snuffed it out, and looked back up to her trainer. The ranger was making his approach to give her a gentle pat on the head. He stared at her softly, letting out a quiet sigh of his own as he observed her demeanor return to the blankness that often clouded her visage. [break] [break] "I think that's deserving of a good rest, don't you Tardar?"[break] The little panda shrugged, munching lightly on the leaf protruding from her dry lips. She glanced up at him for but a second before turning away to gaze at the drab landscape. A cold wind picked up and caused them both to shiver. [break] "Alright. Let's make our way back to the city for now then." Recalling his pokémon the young lad made sure his jacket was tucked in tight before withdrawing Booker's pokéball. The hound popped to life, only a head above the built up snow. His tail wagged happily as he awaited word from the trainer. [break] [break] "We're heading back to Goldenrod boy. Lead on," he finished with a hand raised to point in the direction he figured the city would be. The herdier barked cheerily before putting his sniffer to work, diving his muzzle into the powdery snow. He'd be so lost without his faithful hound. [break] [break] ~~~ [break] It was a while before Damien was back on Route 34 for training. He'd taken time to work on his navigation of the big city, finally managing to figure his way around some of the more recognizable landmarks without getting lost for hours. It was quite the accomplishment in his mind, though had been an unwanted distraction from his journey. When finally he'd managed to find his way to the gym during the day Whitney was off being famous. At first it had been a bit disappointing, but after meeting some of her avid fans training on the floor he realized how unprepared he was for the gym leader. Just the stories of Whitney's prowess made him feel unworthy of attempting the third badge. [break][break] And so he was back here. The grip of winter was finally fading, which made him hopeful he could stay out a bit longer than his previous trips out here. [break] "Kay..." he mumbled to himself, taking a look around the area. He'd already ventured closer to the woods last time, so maybe some time closer to the water this time would be good. If he could find a quiet spot maybe he'd even give his rod a go. He bought it so long ago but had been too embarrassed of his amateur skills to try it with so many people around. Though, most of the bank was along the main road of route 34. A highly trafficked area, and at this time of day likely to have a few passersby. [break] [break] Damien laughed to himself, digging his hands into his coat pocket as he continued south from Goldenrod. "We'll just see how this goes," he mumbled. Word Count: 600

The white snow had melted completely upon the spring weather settling in as the little buds of the flowers near the riverbank of Route 34 had started blooming, giving Damien a good view of spring beginning to set in. Patches of both short and tall grass swayed along with the wind as the sun shone down from the mostly clear blue sky. As luck would have it, something was coming along Damien’s way as a yellow and brown tapir-like Pokemon was strolling along, like it was minding its own business at first. For an afternoon snack, it had picked up Cheri berries from a tree earlier, courtesy of using its psychic powers to get them down. Drowzee plopped down near a tree and eat with a satisfying look. The wild Pokemon did not notice Damien at first, but when it took a look at its surroundings, it became alarmed. The wild Drowzee got up, and quickly looked from side to side as if it was contemplating going elsewhere to enjoy its midday snack. It would stay, however, if this trainer didn’t intend to take its berries away from it somehow. A wild Drowzee (Level 15) has dropped in! Shiny Check: 1NSvIFRH1-421-42

[nospaces] He carried on along the shoreline. The water lapped against the route's cliff banks a bit loudly, but he'd tuned into the sound as he watched the tiny waves ripple downstream. He managed to avoid any other travelers by way of just staring off into space over the river. No one was rafting it seemed, so there was no one to catch his eye. It was pretty relaxing. Damien hadn't realized it till now, but the effects of the bustling city were still managing to get under his skin despite the length of time he'd now spent in its perimeter. The fresh outdoors were still the place for him.
[break][break] Just as he once again began pondering the idea of fishing a startled noise got his attention. The ranger took a few steps before the wild pokémon registered and he stopped. So engrossed in staying inattentive on the route he would have missed it completely. Even now, staring right at its odd strawberry colored body, he wasn't exactly sure what he was looking at.
[break] "Is that..?" he mumbled, a brow furrowing in confusion as he paired the visage with the drowzee he had seen the other day amidst the fog. The usual bright yellow of the psychic type was unmistakable, like a kakuna's shell. This guy looked like a pastry. Especially when in the presence of the bright red berries tightly guarded in its hands. Though, as pleasant an appearance the wild pokémon had the wrinkled trunk and judging stare were enough to let the young lad know it wasn't about to share in its little picnic.
[break][break] Damien lifted his hands to gesture that he wasn't a threat. No pokéball present. [break] "Hey buddy, stay calm," he began, speaking softly in the hopes of reassuring the tubby psychic. Plans whirled through his mind about the drowzee. Did he want to capture it? The odd coloring reminded him of other 'shinies', as he'd heard them called, that he had been shown. Surely someone would find it very interesting. Perhaps even the professor. "You're an interesting Drowzee aren't yah? Is red your favorite color?" he continued, grasping at things to say to try and keep the drowzee from running off.
[break][break] He risked a slow approach toward the rose-colored psychic. His feet inched forward while he watched Drowzee's features for a sign of fight or flight response. The boy attempted to retain an nonintimidating posture as he moved forward all the while quietly deciding which of his pokémon to call out should things get violent.

The drowzee pouted and clung to its berries as Damien moved closer and it narrowed its eye suspiciously as he spoke. It didn't seem to make it more friendly when Damien asked to its favorite color and it tried to hide the berries in its hands. It stood still as a statue while Damien inched forward and then it slowly raised a hand towards him and waved. Drowzee then smiled warmly and tripped towards Damien, it stopped in front of him and gestured for him to bend down while smiling welcoming. It then offered him one of the Cheri berries while it took a bite of one of the others. Then Damien blinked and realized that he laid with his chin on soft grass, he would feel a bit sore from the fall and a linger of drowsiness like he had been sleeping. The moment he lifted his head he saw the back of the drowzee as it briskly walked away, it clearly still had all three berries, and it was mkaing a run for it. Drowzee used Hypnosis on Damien and is trying to escape!

[nospaces] The young ranger was drawn into a false sense of security. It should have been obvious. Maybe if Damien had done any research on the pokémon he would have been less inclined to put himself in such a vulnerable position, but the lad was too trusting for his own good. His mind was clouded, groggy. An ache of recent impact ebbed through his jaw and knees but otherwise he felt a little numb. He tried to piece together the moments leading up to this but couldn't. One second he was accepting the wild pokémon's offer and the next he was struggling against the steely grip of somnolence.
[break] [break] Incoherent mumbles sputtered from his lips as he made to move. At first it was an attempt to push himself back up but his body was just too heavy. Through a blur not unlike the experience under a strobe light he watched as the rose-tinted tapir's shape grew smaller. Damien tried again, mustering more will power to break through the veil clouding his mind, and got a hand to his belt and one to fix the discomfort that was the brim of his hat awkwardly pushing against his forehead. Fingers fumbling along his pokéballs the pop and light of pokémon being released reached his senses, albeit a bit delayed.
[break] [break] The sight of the green automaton's legs brought a renewed strength to the boy. He pushed himself partway up, supporting himself by drawing one leg to his chest and stabilizing with his elbows as he fixed his headwear. Alexis grunted hollowly, trotting to the trainer's side and help push up at the boy's shoulders. Another patter of feet could be heard trailing into the distance but Damien was currently too focused on just getting off the ground.
[break] "That was stupid," he chastised himself, trying to keep moving in order to retain consciousness. Felt like if he stopped for even a second he'd be back to slumbering. Damien got to his feet with a quiet word to his golett that he was alright. He shook his head and rubbed one of his eyes to get a clearer sense of his surroundings. The shiny drowzee had made a decent amount of distance. Alexis turned to stare at the fleeing psychic as well, grunting and putting its hands on its hips as if in approval of something. It took another moment for Damien to realize that Drowzee wasn't the only pokémon out there.
[break] [break] Hot on the wild pokémon's heels was a speeding herdier. It was trivial to close the distance, and soon enough Drowzee would find itself headed off by the loyal hound. With a skidding stop Damien's pup blocked off the tapir's escape, teeth bared and growls accompanying.
[break] [break] "Booker." He wasn't too worried about him, but he couldn't just let Booker handle it all alone. Damien started forward. Unsteadily at first but his pace picked up as the dreariness faded away. Alexis stomped along just behind.

Drowzee was not a fast pokemon and it knew it. Its shoulders slumped as it heard the running footsteps that was rapidly closing and a moment later a hairy dog snarled viciously at it. Why was they always so aggressive and angry? It was a lovely day and there was plenty to eat and water nearby, but all those pokemon living here talking about stupid things like territory and defending your family. If they just dropped those weird ideas they could all live in peace, the only thing that threatened them here was each other. "What? I am trying to leave your so called territory but you are not making it easier by standing in the way," it said tiredly to Booker. As the dog sniffed deeply Drowzee looked a bit puzzled not understanding what it was doing but it was clear that the herdier was not going to let it pass. The drowzee once more lifted its hands and waved them in the direction of Booker, and a moment later the dog collapsed snorring happily. Only for a moment though as Booker suddenly sprang to his feet and Drowzee froze, but then Booker nosed around following imaginary smells. Drowzee looked closer at the herdier with a curious expression, it had never seen a pokemon walk around in its sleep before. Drowzee looked back when it heard Damien and Alexis getting closer and it sighed as they probably wouldn't let it leave unpunished. It doubted it could outrun them. It looked around for another solution and then went to the closest tree. With the help of its psychic powers it climbed it and found a sturdy branch to sit on. It had been a last resort for it many times before when raticates, zangooses and the recently arrived and luckily rarely seen gumshoos had decided they wanted to punish it for trespassing. They couldn't climb and even the ones who tried Drowzee found it easier to defend itself against with its ranged attacks. Then the question was only who was the most patient and until now Drowzee had had no trouble waiting until the others grew tired. It guessed that neither Booker nor Alexis would be good climbers, so perhaps Damien could but humans rarely sought direct confrontations with pokemon, so it assumed they would give up. It made itself more comfortable and rubbed dust from one of the berries before taking a bite. It was ready to watch the show below and sent the ones who tried to reach it falling back down again. [nospaces] Once again the wild drowzee went to work hypnotizing as its first reaction to meeting with anything. Damien bit his bottom lip lightly as he watched his pup go down into a restless slumber. But no sooner had Booker's whiskers settled than was the hound back up and sniffing; searching. If they were in a less strenuous situation he'd probably be laughing at the sight, but now. Now he could only think about how dangerous it could be for Booker to be sleep sleuthing, and how dangerous this hypnotic-loving drowzee could be to others along the route.
[break] [break] Drowzee was safely up the tree by the time Damien arrived. "Alexis, we've gotta keep Booker from wandering off," he called back to the little golem. The ghost type pounded a fist on its chest and set to playing border patrol with the sleep walking dog. The ranger slowed to a stop and stared up at the smug psychic. The plump shiny was sitting and watching the show. Damien couldn't let this one wander free putting people to sleep. Imagine one of the younger kids playing around here getting caught up in something like this.
[break] "Don't think you're untouchable up there," he warned Drowzee, adjusting his hat and moving a hand to his belt. Simourv wouldn't have any trouble harassing the wild pokémon up there, but no doubt Drowzee had some way to easily deal with birds just like anything attempting to climb up after it. So he'd have to go about it in an unexpected way.
[break] [break] The boy activated Turret's pokéball and set the turtle loose. The wartortle appeared, hand rubbing one of his eyes as he yawned and stretched. "We've got trouble Turret, up there." Damien pointed to the rose-colored tapir. The water type composed himself rather quickly at the urgent tone. Damien then also released his luxio, kneeling down beside where she materialized and putting a hand on her back to keep her still. Turret waddled closer.
[break] [break] "Turret, I want you to headbutt the tree to knock Drowzee down," the boy whispered. Whether it would be at all effective in keeping his plan secret from the perched wild pokémon he didn't know, it being psychic and all, but he wanted to try and get as much surprise as possible upon implementation. "Then you Andromeda, I want you to spark tackle it when it's on the ground. Okay?" He watched the electric feline carefully. She stared back a moment before twitching her nose and rubbing her cheek on his arm.
[break] [break] "Okay." The trio broke away and got into position. Andromeda prepared herself by beginning to build up her electrical energy. Static shocks trickling across her fur as she eyed Drowzee hungrily. Damien glanced to check on Alexis and Booker. The golett was succeeding in keeping the pup close by, though it'd probably be best to clean this all up quickly. If it wasn't for the restless sleepwalking Damien would just recall the hound into his pokéball. He feared the confinement would be nothing less than sleep paralysis for him though.
[break] [break] "Alright, go ahead Turret."

As well thought out as Drowzee's plan to climb the tree was it had underestimated the power of Damien's Pokemon as Turret scored a powerful hit with his Headbutt on the tree. Drowzee tried to maintain it's balance but the rocking motion caused from the impact sent it tumbling towards the ground. It's psychic powers were not enough to prevent the fall from buying Damien some time to come up with a strategy but even as he decided to swap Pokemon Damien was not fast enough to stop the young psychic type from getting off an attack before Andromeda could strike. A light blue glow started to surround her before a massive headache caused her to lose some focus. Being so determined to win the battle at any cost she was able to battle through the throbbing headache and unleashed a powerful Spark next to Drowzee. The aftermath of the attack left one thing clear and that was that Drowzee was a female as Andromeda's ability Rivalry kicked in and caused additional damage. The boost in damage was not enough to win in one strike however as Drowzee managed to hang on and in a violent fit of rage unleashed a second powerful Confusion attack on her. The pounding headache grew worse for the young Luxio but she was able to keep enough of her focus for now to avoid being confused. With another round about to begin however things were not looking good for Drowzee as she would not likely endure another hit and Andromeda was still in pretty good shape minus the awful headache she was still trying to endure.
