Jason looks to be an average boy of fifteen years. He stands at about five feet and three inches tall, and is still growing. His hair is a dark brown color, and is about one inch long on the top, while being half an inch on the sides and back of his head. He is very meticulous about his hair, taking care to comb it backwards, and he tends to put pomade in it when he has some on hand. His eyes are a dark green color, and his skin is a light peachy color. He is pretty slim, but the muscles on his body are very defined, as he works out regularly.
Jason has a bright red leather jacket that he is almost never without. It's just about his favorite thing in the world, and he usually wears it unzipped over a white v-necked shirt. He wears dark blue denim jeans, that are free of tears, though he knows that won't last for long. His socks are black, and red running shoes adorn his feet. Jason is never seen with a hat, as he hates how they make his head itch. He carries a dark grey pullover hoodie with him in case of colder weather, and he also has black wool gloves to go with it.

ason loves excitement and traveling. When he was young, his father used to bring him along on his research trips, and that is where Jason got his love of Pokemon from.
He can be a bit brash and rude sometimes, but he cares for his fellow trainers. He doesn't like trickery or illegal dealings, and will often call people out on such things.
Jason has wanted to be a Pokemon trainer since he was merely five years old, and has always wanted to challenge the gym circuit. His favorite typing is the Fire Type, which is partially why he likes to wear the color red.
Jason can be a very vain person. His appearance matters to him far more than it should, especially for a Pokemon Trainer on the road. He always has a container of pomade on his person, so that he can properly style his hair. He's not opposed to getting dirty, in fact, he'd be the first person to jump into scummy water to chase down a Pokemon. But afterwards, he'll take his time washing himself and making his clothes looks presentable. To him, it's less about his hygiene as it is about his looks.
He's a fifteen year old boy, who is just discovering girls for the first time, albeit quite late. As such, he really lacks the grace required to speak to attractive girls around his age. He stutters and sometimes it seems like he doesn't know the common tongue. Unless, of course, there's a battle involved. At that point, girls cease to be girls to him, and instead are just seen as any other challenger.
History:
Jason grew up in Blackthorn City, being raised by his father. His mother passed away during his birth, something which still bothers Jason. Jason's dad calls himself a Pokemon researcher, and specifically researches the correlation between Pokemon and their natural habitats. At a young age, Jason got to travel around Johto with his father, and he's been to every major city in the region. Most of his youth was spent solely with his dad. Due to traveling during his early years, Jason has never attended a proper school, and was instead educated by his father. Most of his time was spent either helping his father with his research, or burying himself in his dad's collection of books about Pokemon.
The road is where Jason gained a love for Pokemon. When he was ten years old, he traveled with his father to Azalea Town, where he was introduced to the Slowpoke species. He spent most of his two weeks there around the well, playing, or trying to play, with the pink Water type. Seeing his interest in the Pokemon, Jason's father bought him his most treasured book: A Guide to Pokemon and their Typings. It was within this book that Jason read and learned about Fire Type Pokemon, and since then, he has always dreamed of having a powerful fire type. Jason regularly rereads through this book, as the knowledge within it is very valuable to a wannabe trainer.
On the day of his fifteenth birthday, Jason woke up to the best new he'd ever gotten; his father was finally going to allow him to undergo a journey of his own. Jason's father advised him to travel to New Bark Town, where he would receive a Starter Pokemon. From there, he told Jason that he should head for Cherrygrove City, and travel around Johto by himself for the first time. He also told Jason how the Gym Circuit worked (which Jason already knew about) and thought that Jason would want to take it on. He was absolutely correct. Jason packed his bags and left for New Bark Town that night, daydreaming about the Pokemon he would soon catch.
Goals: Jason wants to beat the Gym Circuit, and catch various different kinds of Pokemon so that he can study them like his father does. He's hoping to learn a lot of new things about Pokemon on his journey, including things like their behaviors and how evolution can affect their temperament. He really wants to catch a Fire type and train it into a powerhouse to serve on his team.
