Pixie got on to the bus for the bug catching contest, she was excited after all getting third and shiny is nothing but amazing for the shy girl. This time however she was not with her faithful water type with ice beam. She had a pokemon she hadn't used before her cuddley bear cuddles. Once the rules were explained the trainers were set free. Pixie was going to find her first bug pokemon of the day.

Trainers spreading out to all corners of the park in search for the rarest thing they could find. With half the grass as tall or taller than all the kids the park itself nearly created its own natural barrier to keep everyone from interfering with one another. The psuedo-solitude was kinda nice. A thing the bug pokémon quite enjoyed too. Though, that just made them all the more agitated when people managed to find them when they didn't want to be found. Pixie happened to stumble across one such bug. Here she was, busy keeping her short fur prim and proper and making sure there were no barbs stuck to her, and the pink-haired trainer pushed aside the grassy curtains to impose on her alone time! The Illumise wasn't too pleased. She immediately buzzed a warning and pointed a finger at the girl's direction. Shineh: InfC|0061-421-42

Pixie was pretty shocked that she found a pretty pokemon so quickly but looking it over she saw how much stronger it was. "Ok cuddles lets baby doll eyes and than tackle. But be careful it's strong and will get an attack in" cuddles was new to fighting and pixie was as scared as she was excited. Cuddles was going to get ready.

Sport Balls Left: 15 1/5 Encounters Illumise: Normal Cuddles [Fluffy]: -1 EVA Illumise immediate set to work with her charms. Though, she started with scent. A pleasing aroma rose from the bug's location, wafting by Cuddle's nose and blanketing him with a warm fuzzy feeling. It was the sweet smell of a lazy day. Cuddles took it all in with a loud long sniff. Though, despite certainly feeling more relaxed this was still a battle. Cuddles lumbered forward and delivered the tackle Pixie had requested.

Pixie felt pretty lucky the Pokemon didn't attack but she knew it wasn't going to be that way for long. "Cuddles we are going to tackle but be careful you're easier to hit!" she called out. She grabbed the special Pokeballs and tossed on the Pokemon was going to be hers. (tackle then Pokeball throw please!  ) |

Sport Balls Left: 14 1/5 Encounters Illumise: Normal Cuddles [Fluffy]: -1 EVA, -2 SP ATK Illumise took a more direct approach for her second attack, coming in close and accepting the tackle from the fluffy bear. While they wrestled on the ground she took advantage and gave an effective struggle bug. Cuddles, a little confused by the tactic, backed off to allow Pixie plenty of room to throw the sport ball. Illumise was sucked up inside, but after a single shake she had broken out. With another huff she caught up to the retreating stufful and used another struggle bug.

Pixie winced this was not as easy has her last one. Ok it was ok hopefully. "OK cuddles! Tackle! Plus we are going to catch this pokemon!" Pixie once again threw a Pokeball she just wanted to get something.

This time though... SUCCESS!  IllumiseName: [Choose] Gender: Female Level: 16 Attacks: Sweet Scent, Charm, Quick Attack, Struggle Bug Ability: Oblivious OR Tinted Lens Nature/Personality: [choose] If you choose to keep this pokémon at the end of the contest it will be added to Pixie's PC

Pixie and Cuddles cheered as the Pokmon was caught Illumise was a pretty pokemon or so Pixie thought. But Maybe Pixie could grab something better? While exploring for their next Pokemon the sound of halftime went off she had been so slow she winced. This one had to be quicker. The sound of the grass moving made Pixie turn. "ok cuddles! Tackle whatever we find!" She commanded.

Sport Balls Left: 13 2/5 Encounters Scyther: Normal Cuddles [Fluffy]: Normal Something quicker was indeed coming. Obviously a little mad that there was a bunch of action going on in the National Park, a large mantis pokémon erupted from the near bushes and charged across the grass heading straight for Pixie. Cuddles was startled, though did start into a run to try and protect Pixie from the oncoming pokémon. The pair collided, the stufful's fluffiness coming in handy to absorb most of the damage. Scyther was stopped in its tracks, but it didn't look like it wanted to leave any time soon. Shiney: dv_mhScP1-42
