The Sableye peered curiously at the fire Pokemon standing before it. It had been drawn to Max's team by the luminous globe on Jupiter's tail. Light was rare in the gloom of Dark Cave and whatever light there was usually gave away the location of Sableye's favourite food; gemstones. Intially, the mischievous Pokemon had though the orb emanating from the Flaaffy had been a gigantic diamond and was eager to steal it. However, it realised now it was nothing but a light source just like the flickering flames on the tip of this Charmeleon's tail. Distracted by the blinding lights surrounding it, the shadow Pokemon was unaware that Crimson had inhaled a lung full of oxygen, igniting gases in his stomach to spew out blistering flames towards it. "Sableeyyyeeee!" the purple Pokemon screamed as it became engulfed the inferno. The boulders on the cave floor glowed red like hot coals. Badly scorched, Sableye was nonetheless able to retreat back into the shadows from where it would plan its attack. Crimson could see Sableye's location in the gloom with the help of the Go-Goggles, lighting up Sableye's silhouette against the cave walls almost like a heat signature. However, this image suddenly darkened and blurred. The darkness began to fight its way back, even dimming the bright orb on Jupiter's tail somewhat. A chilling tingling sensation consumed Crimson and he began to get a splitting migraine. All noises were drowned out by the throbbing beating of his heart as he felt it echoing around the dark cavern. Sableye had struck with a deadly Nightshade attack! As the battle unfolded in front of them, the egg that Max was cradling in his arms continued to rattle violently. All of a sudden, the green egg was torn open as a sharp scythe burst out from inside. Max was forced to let go of the egg as something inside it continued to slash and claw its way out. A wet slimy green body eventually emerged, its wings folded across its back. As the dry air of the cave passed over the newly born creature, it began to take a more solid form and its wings began to extend outwards. A Scyther was born! Maxwell king » OOC: Might just try to find an aron or Gastly Max was bursting with excitement as the green egg that had been cradled in his arms begun to crack, soon enough a sharp scythe burst out from the inside. As the being inside continued to slash and claw its way out, Max was forced to let go of the egg as the green bodied pokemon emerged into the outside world. Witnessing an egg hatch first-hand truly was an indescribable experience for Max, an event he certainly wouldn't forget.
"Welcome to the big wide world Edward, it's a pleasure to meet you, my name's Max!"
The newborn Scyther surveyed its new surroundings and was left rather startled, after all this wasn't exactly the most serene setting to have a newborn pokemon hatch in. Both Max and Edward's attention was shifted towards the pokemon battle that was taking place between Crimson and a wild Sableye.
Crimson's Flamethrower attack had a devastating effect, not only on their purple coloured adversary but also upon the cave surface as the floor glowed red like hot coals. Sableye was a crafty opponent who was using its surroundings to its utmost advantage as it slipped back into the shadows preparing its own offensive response.
For just a moment Crimson was able to locate Sableye within the darkness of the shadows thanks to his trusty go-goggles, that moment was short-lived however as the darkness pokemon then disappeared. The darkness of the cave dimmed the light beaming off Jupiter's orb on her tail. Crimson appeared to be in a significant deal of pain, he was experiencing a splitting migraine, the fire type pokemon's senses were heightened to the point that he could hear his own throbbing heartbeat echoing throughout the cavern.
"Hang in there Crimson, you're doing great pal! When you get the chance let off your Incinerate attack!"
Edward was intrigued by the scenes that he was now witnessing, the newborn Scyther was raring to join the battle. Max noticed that his new bug type pokemon looked excited about the prospect of battle, he would have to get the youngling some training back along the routes that he had previously travelled.
Crimson was still attempting to shake off his splitting migraine to focus upon the nearby figure that kept using the shadows to reveal its presence and then hide it again. With the assistance of his go-goggles the fire type pokemon attempted to locate the heat signature that Sableye gave off as he proceeded to shoot a stream of fire from its mouth towards the shadows in hope of hitting the opponent.
After one round of attacks, Max was aware that the wild Sableye was an opponent that he and Crimson could not take lightly. Max retrieved a pokeball from his backpack and prepared to toss it after watching the next turn of attacks unfold.
OOC: Crimson's going to use Incinerate (and hopefully not faint the Sableye) and if it survives then Max will proceed to use a pokeball! Also I've updated in Edward's (Scyther) details into Max's Party, thanks!

Seeing a Scyther hatch from Maxwell's egg was not exactly the kind of news Sableye was hoping for as it was already in considerable pain from the Flamethrower attack and did not need to worry about a potential second opponent. Unbeknownst to it however Crimson was already cooking up another special move for it and in its weakened state the ghost type was going to struggle to endure it even though the attack was weaker than Flamethrower. Sableye tried to prepare another Night Shade in a desperate attempt to make a comeback but Crimson was just too fast for the spirit as he sent his Incinerate attack directly towards Sableye. The fire type attack hit its mark as Sableye shrieked out in great pain when the flames started to burn its skin. Sableye fought with all of its might to battle against the pain but it was just too weak after the first attack as it fell face first onto the ground knocked out cold from all the damage it had suffered. As bad as Sableye's luck had been it had enough experience from previous battles to quickly regain enough energy to run off before Maxwell could try and capture it with his Pokeball. Even if his chance to capture the rare Pokemon had eluded him this time Crimson still gained a few levels for his victory so their efforts were not completely wasted. Maxwell king » OOC: aron or Gastly, show YOURSELVES! An easy way to explain the inert power that Crimson contained was that he was a volcano just waiting to erupt. Sableye had been an elusive opponent, one that had used an admirable strategy in attempt to shift the tide of the battle into its favour, it was all for nigh however as the speed and power of Crimson the Charmeleon was too much for the dark type pokemon
The stream of fire that had shot from Crimson's mouth was a more than powerful enough attack to faint the wild Sableye, the pain of the fire type attacks was clearly too much for the darkness pokemon to continue to bear. Sableye had fought valiantly, and ultimately Max had hoped to have the chance to capture it however that was no longer an option as the darkness pokemon quickly regained its consciousness and scattered off into the darkness, not to be seen again.
Max shrugged his shoulders in contempt, ultimately the turn of events didn't appear to have an emotional impact upon him, he was simply happy that Crimson had been so effective in battle, his experience was growing with every battle. Edward was beyond excited from what he had just witnessed first-hand, the bug type pokemon was itching to battle.
"You'll get your chance soon Edward, don't you worry about that! As for you Crimson, another scintillating showing, great work!"
Max motioned for his crew of pokemon to follow him as he turned back towards the direction they had come from, it may take a while to exit the cave but they would have to leave eventually, in the meantime it was likely they would encounter more pokemon using the the power of the dark shadows to survey their potential prey.
OOC: I believe Edward the Scyther was supposed to gain a level via Exp. Share from the latest battle.

Dozens of Zubat fluttered overhead as Max and his crew began to retrace their steps back in the direction from which they came; at least it appeared like that was the way back. For who really knew in the disorientating gloom that surrounded the trainer, forever pressing towards him, held back only by the flickering aura of light created by Jupiter's tail. But none of the pesky flying vampires were interested in attacking Max but instead passed fleetingly through the Flaaffy's radiant sphere. Other body parts of various creatures occasionally popped in and out of view; a rocky fist, an iron-skull and a yellow cone-shaped tail. But as soon as the light touched them, they quickly slipped back into the consuming darkness. Max continued his progress and before long he noticed a weak source of light ahead. It slowly grew brighter. Was it another trainer? Or perhaps a stocky hiker carrying a lamp? No, this was not a light source but a reflection and Max eventually found what Jupiter's luminous light had been bouncing off. It was a Pokemon shaped like a shield with a boss in the centre and several other nodules lining its circumference. The Pokemon was highly reflective and appeared to be made out of an indestructible metal; perhaps vibranium. As Max approached, the creature opened its eyes to reveal two gleaming yellow orbs.

Maxwell king » OOC: aron or Gastly, show YOURSELVES! It had been a very beneficial day spent in Dark Cave so far for Max and his team with multiple opportunities to gain further battle experience. Many residents of the cavern were afraid of light and would scatter back into the shadows the moment they were revealed by Jupiter's lighting.
As Max and his team continued making their way towards the exit of Dark Cave, the male young adult noticed that Jupiter's flashing light was reflecting back at him from somewhere nearby. Max and his crew of pokemon investigated further and found a wild pokemon, one that had the formation of a blue metal shield.
The wild Bronzor didn't appear all too happy to have had its rest interrupted by Max and his team, the stylish male however was not going to let this golden opportunity for more battle experience for his pokemon pass up. Max motioned for Anubis to step forward and prepare for battle, it was once again his turn to battle
"Okay Anubis, use your Force Palm attack!"
Anubis quietly acknowledged his trainers command and begun towards run towards the wild Bronzor. Once the fighting type pokemon was in the range of his opponent his attack would entail putting his palm on Bronzor and then firing a huge light yellow blast from its paw at the opponent.

Bronzor had barely gotten the chance to blink away its own sleepiness before the blue blur was right at its proverbial nose. It blinked another time. A low ring like that of a hefty church bell beginning to gurgle out of is ajar mouth was about the best it could do before the kinetic energy erupted in a flash of light from the young fighter. The shine of its metal body reflected back the light for a second as the being was thrown to the ground. A faint plume of dust rose into the air around its edges along with the empty clang of a steel beam dropping. Was it down? The odd pokémon was unmoving, or appeared to be at least. It was hard to tell without any notable organic parts. What was assumed to be the eyes, those yellow orbs slit into a black void, could just be decoration. They didn't blink or flicker as the dust settled. Perhaps Anubis managed to hit the sweet spot and paralyze it with the first strike. The thought could easily tickle any proud fighter's battle prowess. Just as it seemed the battle was over before it had even gotten underway the bronzor moved. Flinging up as if powered by a springboard those big yellow spheres pierced through Anubis' own in a second of surprise. There was a hail of disorienting waves circling from the steel type's eyes. They were strangely soothing. Anubis struggled but eventually succumbed with a big yawn; plopping to the ground with a light snore. Maxwell king » OOC: aron or Gastly, show YOURSELVES! Max was sure that the battle was already over after Anubis' Force Palm attack, the wild Bronzor had been laying flat on the ground, completely motionless. It appeared however the steel/psychic type pokemon had been bluffing and had used the uncertainty of the situation at hand to unleash a counter attack in the form of disorienting waves. The strangely soothing waves had lulled Anubis to sleep as the young fighter gave a big yawn before dozing off to sleep. Max couldn't help but smirk towards the wild Bronzor, it had been a wily move and executed to perfection at that.
"Well played Bronzor, you had me fooled there for sure"
Max looked upon his sleeping pokemon nervously, he wasn't sure how long the quiet fighting type pokemon would be out for. It then dawned upon Max that he had an item that would assist him in combating the situation he was now dealt with. Max delved into his backpack and retrieved a spray type medicine in a yellow bottle as he leaned over his sleeping pokemon partner and begun to spray the medicine over him, the effects of the Full Heal item would assist in waking Anubis from his sleeping state immediately rather than having to wait for whenever he decided to rise from his slumber. Max was sure that the wild Bronzor would use this window of opportunity to unleash an attack on Anubis as he looked towards the steel/psychic pokemon. *Full Heal used on Anubis

The Bronzor could not believe it's none blinking eyes. Did that trainer just seriously spray something on the Pokemon and wake it up?! How very rude! It's get woken up by light, attacked down to the ground and then the trainer wakes the Pokemon just after Bronzor put the to sleep. Can't a Pokemon get some sleep these days with all the trainers coming through here? 'Well then' the bronzor thought unknowingly to Maxwell, 'I'll just have to teach them a lesson'The Bronzor then noticed something, didn't the trainers normally say an attack as well? An invisible smile broke onto their shield like face as they got their attack ready. No attack was coming this round, just perfect. Three purple circles emitted out of Bronzor's eyes towards the poor Riolu. Poor Anubis didn't expect this, he just woke up! The three waves seemed to hit hard as Anubis skidded back a bit and then lost balance a bit. Easyyyy, Easyyyyyy, Anubis corrected themselves and stood back in place. But that, that had hurt, maybe this will be a bit harder then first thought. Maxwell king » OOC: aron or Gastly, show YOURSELVES! Anubis was well and truly awake and alert to the situation at hand now, had he have been still in his slumber he would surely be in line for a rough time against his wild adversary. Bronzor's battle strategy was definitely built around attacking from range with moves that revolved around using psychic wave based attacks. Max was confident that the key to winning this battle would be for Anubis to get up close and personal to the Bronzor,
"Alright Anubis, ring this Bronzor like a church bell with your Force Palm attack"
One could have excused Anubis for snickering at the line his trainer had just used, this Riolu however was all business and no games, the quiet achiever whose actions spoke louder than his words. Anubis gave a small nod of acknowledgement of his trainers request before he begun running towards the wild Bronzor. As Anubis had gotten into the physical attack based range of his opponent he raised his right palm towards Bronzor as a light yellow blast begun to form that would be fired directly at the steel/psychic type pokemon.

This Riolu didn't know when to stop, damn trainers and their Pokemon. If that hit didn't stop them, they would just have to give them a hard- "BAM!" The bronzor went slamming into the ground again just like the first force palm, the Riolu seemed very good at hitting it's mark. That was troublesome. The poor Bronzor laid there for a bit, the wind knocked out of it's 'lungs'. It couldn't take another hit like that, but it wouldn't just lay there if it can still move. It wiggled a bit on the ground before it got itself back up. "Bronzor!" The Pokemon cried out as more pink waves came out troubles the little Riolu. Riolu wasn't quick enough to get past this one either and went flying back towards Maxwell. "Riolu!" Anubis cried out as they struggled to get back up himself. That seemed like a good sign to Bronzor, maybe they would finally stop and leave it alone. Maybe they would see the Bronzor was stronger and better, that it was not to be messed with. But this battle was making them tired again. It showed in the eyes of the Pokemon as it stared at Maxwell and Anubis waiting for the next move. Maxwell king » OOC: aron or Gastly, show YOURSELVES! The amount of resilience that was on display by Anubis the Riolu and the wild Bronzor was admirable, both pokemon were taking the others best shots and still willingly fighting back. Anubis' Force Palm had been just as effective the second time round as it had been the first time he had executed the move on his dual-typed opponent.
The wild Bronzor lay flat on the ground again, much like it had done so previously after being attacked, however this time it stayed their a little while longer than before. Max was keeping his eyes fixated on the wild Bronzor to stay alert to any possible surprising tricks it may try to pull again.
"Keep a keen eye on this one Anubis, we can't be sure of its next move!"
Anubis was intently focusing on his opponent after retreating to his trainers side, he was prepared to dodge any oncoming attack. Dodging was nigh on impossible however as the wild Bronzor unleashed some pink psychic like waves at Anubis which knocked the emanation pokemon back into Maxwell as he cried his own species name in pain from the attack, it had indefinitely been an effective one to say the very least.
"You're doing so well Anubis, keep up the good fight and lets finish this little guy off with your Force Palm attack!"
Max was aware that he had been spam commanding his partner pokemon to use one move throughout the battle, he wasn't worried about this fact however, he just wanted to win and wasn't worried what method this took to get done. As Anubis rose slowly back to his feet he begun to dash towards the wild Bronzor in preparation of another Force Palm attack, hopefully it would be enough to get the job done this time around.

The steel pokémon was running out of options. If it could sweat it certainly would be. What was this pokémon that it could cut through Bronzor's defenses so easily? Was it the special yellow band tied about Anubis perhaps? No, it must be the moves that were being used. But if that was so, why couldn't Bronzor beat it! The wild pokémon huffed loudly. Both in frustration and to try and steady its breathing as the two sides prepared their next set of attacks. It began willing its psychic energies forth once again, sure that it was on the right track at least. It just had to hope all of its previous confusions had managed to slow the blue jackal down enough. But alas, they hadn't. Anubis' head was still clear and determined. Body willing, he'd have no trouble getting in the last hit. Mustering all the strength he had, the riolu dipped forward for a feint. Bronzor's attention locked onto the initial approach as it readied its next psychic wave it was too slow to react to the sudden misdirection. The shock wave of fighting energy it its edge and sent it spinning through the air like a tossed coin. The steel disc just kept going and going, knocking off of a wall and careening into a dark corridor. A metallic grinding sounded as if the steel type was descending a slope was the last they would know of the Bronzor. VICTORY!
Anubis grew to LV 17! Edward gained +1 LV and grew to LV 3!

Maxwell king » OOC: Maybe another time? Anubis put the finishing touches to his performance in this battle as he left it with an exclamation point of sorts. The emanation pokemon's latest Force Palm attack had more than enough power to get the job done against Bronzor as the steel/psychic pokemon was sent flying like a frisbee into the dark corridors of Dark Cave.
"Unreal effort Anubis, you've fought so well!"
Max was thoroughly impressed with Anubis' effort in the battle, this battle with the wild Bronzor hadn't been an easy one and the blue jackal pokemon had given the fight everything he possibly had to offer. Max noticed that Anubis did look fatigued from the battle, he needed to rest and recover, he truly deserved to do just that as well as Max retrieved Anubis' pokeball and returned him inside to rest,
"We'll fight another day Anubis, for now enjoy a well earned rest"
Max had been searching for two specific pokemon as he ventured through Dark Cave, these being Aron or Gastly, neither of which had made their presence known to him. Max had decided that he would leave the cave and continue his training outdoors on Route 32, Jupiter after all had been providing a shining light for Max the entire duration of them being inside of the cave, to which Max was grateful for. Max set off for the cave exit, maybe one day he would return to Dark Cave and finally locate the pokemon he had been searching for.
