Maxwell king » OOC: Having recently defeated Falkner at the Violet City gym, Max was full of energy and enthusiasm towards his rapid development and progression throughout his journey so far. Max cradled in his arms his Scyther egg, occasionally he would feel movement from within the egg and the young male was aware that slowly but steadily the bug type pokemon inside would emerge into the big wide world.
Since completing his gym battle against Falkner, Max had been fairly active, barely taking time to stay still for a moment. Max had purchased a Rare Candy from a shop online and a delivery Pelliper had made sure he received it quick smart. After receiving the small blue candy, Max fed it to Hope the Spewpa. The resulting effects of the candy had caused the bug type pokemon to evolve into its final form, Vivillon. After witnessing the second evolution of pokemon on his team, the smile on Max's face simply could not be wiped off, these were priceless moments that would stick with him for a long time to come.
Max had been browsing the online shops after having placed Hope the Vivillon in the PC, much to his delight he was able to witness a trainer selling a Shiny Diglett, shiny pokemon were incredibly hard to come by and this was an opportunity Max was not going to let pass up as he moved to purchase the ground type pokemon. Much like with the rare candy purchase, a delivery Pelliper made sure that Max received his purchase as soon as possible. The pokeball containing the Shiny Diglett had a small note attached that detailed information such as its name, moves, ability and personality, after having read the final section Max was filled with intrigue as to how his new partner, Alter would mesh with the rest of his team.
Now that Max was feeling healthy and active he was pursuing another adventure through Dark Cave in hopes of finding a wild Sableye. As Max arrived to the entrance of Dark Cave with his Scyther egg carefully cradled in his arms he moved to release Jupiter the Flaaffy from her pokeball as the pair proceeded to enter a place that both were familiar with, at least the early stages of the cave that is.
"Light this place up Jupiter, we've got some unfinished business"
OOC: Using a Rare Candy on Hope the Spewpa, this will allow her to evolve to Vivillon (Sprite = i.imgur.com/8Ojbdun.png). If I could then please have Hope moved to Max's PC and the Exp. Share removed from her and could I also please have Alter the Shiny Diglett moved from Max's PC to his party if possible please!

((Will evolve Vivillon but also checking that you indeed wanted the default pattern, thus assuming you evolved the spewpa somewhere along route 32, instead of the Cave Specific 'Continental' one))Hope evolved thanks to the Rare Candy! She would like to learn Gust; forget an old move?
Back ready and willing to delve into the deeper depths of the Dark Cave it seemed that his brief illness hadn't cost him the opportunity for a rare darkness dweller in the region of Johto. After the swarm passed through apparently reports confirmed that they had loved the cave enough for some of them to settle in permanently. Whatever their reason it would prove to be quite the boon for any ghost or dark lovers around the area. But the Dark Cave was named aptly, and as such not everyone could simply waltz in and hunt for wild pokémon. But Max was well prepared. With Jupiter sending a blinding flash of light into the cavern it was now possible for the young trainer to traverse the dangerous wild cave without worry of falling into a hole or walking into a wall. Though, even when lit up with Flash the cave's ever imposing darkness crept titling around their little bubble thus it wouldn't be too safe to move too quickly. Both because the light only extended so far and because the residents of the cave would be stirred by the disturbance. One such inhabitant of Dark Cave would be stumbled upon quite soon; and rather literally. Busily watching for anything else moving about, of which the flutter and distant clatter of sounds echoing around them would suggest existed, Jupiter missed the sudden bump along the path and smacked into it. Her lower leg ached as she glared at the rock that had obviously jumped into her way while she walked, nose to the sky in search of bats and other things. Faster than she could giggle at her own silliness though she was brought a spook when the rock rumbled and rose up. It even grew arms and opened its eyes. A Geodude (LV 9) appeared! Shiny? Maxwell king » OOC: Dark Cave was certainly not an area that the feint of heart would simply travel to on their day off. Although Max's journey throughout the Johto region was still young, he was adamant that his knowledge resembled that of a veteran, his greatest showcase of this so far being his sweep of Falkner and merry flock of bird pokemon.
As Max and Jupiter continued to traverse the depths of the cavern they paid close attention to what was above them, after all bats were notorious for lurking in the dark above and attacking strangers whom disturb their peace.
Everything was eerily peaceful, that was until a sudden turn of events occurred. With her gaze heavily fixated on what was above her, Jupiter had managed to walk directly into a rock. Max observed that Jupiter clearly looked a bit shaken up and appeared to be in a bit of pain.
Max was a tad confused, although Jupiter was well known already to possess a severe lack of attention, it wasn't natural to simply have no awareness that something was blocking her path. Max's confusion soon dissipated as he noticed the rock rumble around before arms and eyes emerged from the rock, it appeared that the random rock was indeed a pokemon known as Geodude. This particular Geodude did not appear to be very pleased with what had happened so far, more often than not this would result in a battle, and so Max retrieved a pokeball.
"Rest up your sore leg Jupiter, let's allow our new friend to have some fun"
Max proceeded to toss a pokeball into the air as a pokemon emerged from within, this particular pokemon was a Shiny Diglett, such a rare version of a pokemon was a significant purchase on Max's part. The trainer that Max had purchased the pokemon off had indicated that its nickname was Alter and that his personality was quite unique, Alter didn't like to be ordered around and does not like to get close to others in fear of being hurt. Max was confident that his natural charm would provide an avenue for change between he and his new pokemon. Fighting in a cavern was sure to be a comfortable place for a Diglett, a happy coincidence that Max had decided that this would be his new pokemon's first dance on the battlefield.
"Welcome home Alter"
Alter did not heed much attention to Max's friendly remark, instead he was more so focused on the angry looking Geodude that floated across from him. This would be a simple first test for the shiny ground type pokemon, the typing advantage that was in Alter's favour was sure to play a role in the story of the fight.
"Alter, let's get things started with a Bulldoze attack"
Alter still refused to look at his new trainer as he remained still at first after hearing Max's orders, the defiance that Alter possessed was already evident early on, this was certainly going to make for some interesting times between trainer and pokemon. Despite his pokemon's ignorance of his attack command, Max was not particularly worried at the current time.
OOC: Hope will have Protect replaced by Gust thanks, also default Vivillon is perfectly fine, thanks!

As Geodude got ready for what it thought would be a long battle given its stellar physical defense it was rather baffled by the appearance of Altit as it had never seen a Diglett before yet alone a shiny one. As it had no idea about the speed that Diglett could move at the rocky Pokemon thought that it would be able to make the first move but it had underestimated both the speed and level of Alter and even with the ground type resisting its trainer's commands he was still able to easily start up an attack before Geodude had any hope of attempting an attack of its own. Alter had decided on his own terms that Geodude needed to be knocked down a few pegs and he was going to win this battle for his own pride rather than for his trainers sake. The ground type started to bulldoze everything in its path as it made a beeline dash for Geodude who had hardly moved by the time Alter had piled up a mound of dirt, rocks, and debris and slammed it onto the rocky Pokemon. Geodude was quite tough and did not go down immediately following the strike but just as it thought it had managed to endure the attack the rocky Pokemon's body gave out as it fell to the ground knocked out cold. It had fought well given its huge level disadvantage but in the end even its fantastic endurance was not enough to save it from Alter's fantastic physical strength. Sadly Maxwell did not get a chance to capture the Geodude as a few of its comrades came out of the darkness to save it as Alter celebrated his victory. His level prevented him from gaining anything meaningful other than pride in the battle but he had still done a great job of getting the Geodude out of the way.
Alter won the battle but did not gain any levels.

Maxwell king » OOC: To say the battle was short and sweet would be a gross understatement of the events that had occurred in front of Maxwell. The speed and strength difference between Alter and his adversary was abundantly clear as the mole Pokemon chewed up the distance between he and Geodude in what seemed like no time at all. Geodude had not even been given a proper chance to generate a response to its oncoming demise as Alter bulldozed a pile of dirt, rocks and debris into the rock Pokemon.
Valiantly the wild Geodude attempted to remain conscious, however the sheer amount of physical damage that Alter had inflicted after one attack was more than enough to ensure that the rock Pokemon's fight was over. For Alter, this victory was simply a pride boost, not that he was particularly in need of one to begin with. Max was left with a surprised look on his face, he knew that Alter was strong but the display that it had just put on was a showcase that warm-up battles such as this one were not something Alter was all too keen to participate in.
"Well that was efficient"
Alter disregarded Max's indirect compliment, if his trainer was attempting to take any sort of credit for that beat-down on Geodude then he was surely kidding himself. Alter was self-aware of his physical strengths and how to utilize his move-set, with undeniable confidence the mole Pokemon was sure that he was the strongest option that Max had available. Surprisingly, Jupiter had remained in near silence throughout the short-lived battle, she was shocked by the display of physical dominance that had been put on by her new teammate.
"The further we delve into this cave, the darker it's going to get so I'm going to need you to lead from the front Jupiter"
At the request of her trainer Jupiter jumped to action as she moved ahead of where Alter and Max were positioned. The jolly Flaaffy lead from the front as her flash ability continued to illuminate Dark Cave, the wool Pokemon's concentration was virtually non-existent as she continued to turn back and glance at Alter, the shiny ground type Pokemon did not look all too pleased with his new teammates fascination with him. Max was remaining aware of any possible new adversaries that may appear, with a particular focus being attached to the appearance of an Aron or Sableye, Max was keen to add either or both of these species of Pokemon to his ever growing team.

With the very brutal defeat of the Geodude, some of the onlooking Pokemon from the dark that watched Alter's battle went back into hiding. They originally may have been thirsty for a good battle, but upon watching that, There is no way they thought they would be up to challenging it. So the few that saw stayed hidden in the dark shadows in the cave, hidden from the illumination coming from Jupiter. The Pokemon that approached the trainer and his companions next would not be a Pokemon they were actively on the search for. It was one that had been sleeping before the previous battle awoke it. With a loud cry, a bat Pokemon came diving down from above towards the Flaaffy that illuminated the way for the trainer and his companions through the cave. As it almost reached Jupiter, it flew back up. The expression the wild cave-dwelling Zubat gave was not one of pleasure. The light from the electric-type Pokemon and the parties noise had disturbed the Zubat's rest, and now it was angry. In its anger and not even having a clue what it was going up against, the Zubat was ready to challenge the trainer's Pokemon to a battle. It landed infront of the Flaafy and let out another loud cry, initiating its challenge. All that was left was for the trainer to accept it. A wild Zubat (level 13) is approaching! It seems hungry for a fight. What will Maxwell and his Pokemon companions do?Shiny: G1tNAb1M1-42(400 words added to your Scyther egg from your post) 1-42

Maxwell king » OOC: Later Zubat, nice knowing ya Max, Alter and Jupiter were peacefully minding their own business as they traversed further along the cavern, or at least in their mind they were under the belief that they were peaceful. To the pokemon that were likely lurking in the shadows, the trio were certainly not quiet in their venture, however it was clear from their earlier battle that challenging Alter was not a wise mans move.
It was so sudden that nobody had actually seen it coming. A wild Zubat swooped from above towards Jupiter the Flaaffy. The wild Zubat had clearly not bore witness to the display of domination that Alter put on for any of his audience lurking within the shadows of the cave. Jupiter seemed unfazed by the attempted attack upon her, instead she shifted her focus back onto Max to see what her trainer wanted to do about the situation. The wild Zubat was clearly irritated and was looking for a fight, Max was all too happy to oblige. It was only fair that given the wild bat pokemon had decided to attack Jupiter that she get the chance to extract some revenge, her typing advantage over the flying type pokemon would also come in handy.
"Alright let's go Jupiter, this shouldn't be much work, start and finish this off with a Thunderbolt attack!"
Jupiter could hear the confidence in her trainer's demeanour growing with every battle, lately Max and his team had been quite successful in the field of battle. Max attributed their winning ways to a combination of his team's growing skills and abilities and also his own knowledge that continued to expand through experience. Jupiter shifted her attention, as short as it was, back to the wild Zubat that menacingly floated across from her.
Since transforming from a quadrupedal to a bipedal pokemon, Jupiter felt stronger, a perk of evolution. Jupiter attempted to concentrate her energy as yellow sparks begun to surround her body, these sparks then begun to violently crackle. Very soon a long and powerful bolt of yellow electricity would be unleashed from Jupiter's body and headed directly towards the wild Zubat, the flying type's decision to fight against tough adversaries would surely be a learning experience, Max anticipated that this battle would not take very long.

The angry Zubat was expecting a tough fight as Maxwell had a number of powerful Pokemon with him but if there was one Pokemon it was hoping to avoid picking a fight with it was Jupiter due to her type. The bat's horrible luck only continued as Maxwell had chosen to use Jupiter in the coming battle as the bat secretly started to worry that it had been picking a fight it should have avoided. Even so the bat thought it could use its wings to its advantage and out speed Jupiter before she could get off an attack as she did not look very fast and her lack of wings would likely slow her down. Zubat was wrong again however as she started to build up electricity the moment she received the order to attack. Zubat was so distracted by the noise of the charging attack that it did not start to move towards the sheep Pokemon until right before she was able to fire off the powerful jolt of electricity. The Thunderbolt traveled so quickly that Zubat had no chance of avoiding the bolt as it took a direct hit and fell to the cave floor in terrible pain before passing out a few seconds later. Zubat would have been in trouble had it not been for a group of Aron who were spooked by the attack and ran between Maxwell and the knocked out bat giving it just enough time to wake up and fly off before he had the chance to try and capture it. The herd of Aron running through the battleground stirred up other Pokemon in the cave as the cries of numerous Pokemon could be heard approaching likely to investigate what was going on and if Maxwell stuck around he was sure to run into more Pokemon. If he was going to try and leave however his time was running thin as silhouettes of Pokemon could be seen surrounding him and his Pokemon leaving very little room to try and run. Though the battle with Zubat had been pretty easy their next battle might not be quite as easy. Jupiter gains 2 levels for her victory and is now level 18.

Maxwell king » OOC: And so the search continues! Zubat had picked a fight it instantly grew to regret, the typing advantage that Jupiter had over the bat pokemon should have been enough for the wild cave dweller to think twice about its actions. The battle was short and sweet, much like many of the battle's Max's pokemon had partaken in. Jupiter's Thunderbolt attack had more than enough power to send the wild bat pokemon unconsciously falling towards the ground.
Max stood nearby observing the fainted Zubat, soon it would come back to consciousness and fled the scene. An ample opportunity to escape any potential capture arose as a group of Aron, who clearly looked agitated or worried ran through the middle of Max and the makeshift battlefield that they had been using.
After the group of Aron passed by, Max could hear the cries of different species of pokemon emanating from further within the cave. Curious to figure out what had unsettled the small steel type pokemon so much, Max wanted to investigate with the help of his team. Max motioned for Jupiter and Alter to walk alongside him,
"Let's go find out what's going on up here shall we?"

OOC: Scyther Egg Count: +424 words (5222/6000)
The cave stayed true to its name; darkness swallowing almost everything inside. For humans and the average Pokémon, it was quite difficult to see more than a few feet in front. But for the Pokémon that dwelled inside, light was a foreign concept. Something as simple as a Thunderbolt from Jupiter combined with a shriek from Zubat was enough to send some Pokémon running for cover. The hysteria spread rapidly and even some less common Pokémon were beginning to get involved. The situation could only be described as a domino effect, as startled Pokémon tripped over one another causing some minor rockslides. A wild Woobat awoke, confused by all the commotion. Was its home under attack? The psychic bat had no choice but to investigate the matter further. As one of the higher-levelled Pokémon that made its home here, it was Woobat's duty to defend the cave from harm. Its heightened sense of hearing picked up a young teenager's voice. He didn't sound malicious but as a protector of the other Pokémon, it would demand a battle regardless.

Maxwell king » OOC: It seemed that Max's adventure throughout Dark Dave had caused some sort of commotion among the inhabitants of the cavern. Max could not identify the pokemon scattered throughout the shadows of the dark cavern, to most this situation may be frightening, Max however wasn't even remotely scared as he was confident in his pokemon's ability to protect him.
As Maxwell and his team of pokemon continued traversing further into Dark Cave they could distinctly hear the commotion of wild pokemon trying to fled the area, Max could only assume that some of them had been watching his previous battles or had heard through the social grapevine.
The commotion wasn't just limited to generating noise as Max noticed that minor rock slides had been occurring as a result of the commotion. Max was not aware of the time and had nothing on him that would allow him to check it, outside of Dark Cave it was dark, the day had passed by rather rapidly and it was starting to get late. Max himself was starting to feel fatigued, he could only imagine how his pokemon who had been doing all the hard work in battle were feeling right now.
"Sure seems like we've caused quite the commotion, we'll give it one more shot at finding a Sableye and then we'll go get some rest"
Jupiter was the most energetic member of the three, still as lively as ever the jolly sheep pokemon's head off in the clouds as she minded her own business. Alter didn't even look at Maxwell after what he had just said, he wasn't exactly interested in listening.
As Max shifted his attention back to the path ahead of him he noticed a pokemon that appeared to be a pig with wings. Upon further inspection Max identified that the wild pokemon was a Woobat, this particular pokemon was blocking the path ahead of them and didn't show any signs of moving out of the way without a fight, Max was all too happy to oblige.
"Alright Jupiter, this seems like the perfect match-up for you. Let's make quick work of our valiant young friend over here, hit it with your Thunderbolt attack!"
Jupiter had only caught the move that Max had commanded her with, her head-space was clearly not completely present at the moment. Jupiter's gaze locked onto her new opponent, a wild Woobat as she attempted to concentrate her energy. Yellow sparks begun to surround her body as these sparks then begun to violently crackle. Very soon a long and powerful bolt of yellow electricity would be unleashed from Jupiter's body and headed directly towards the wild Woobat.
Max was fairly confident that the wild Woobat would attempt to mount an assault and get the first attack of the battle off, that however was sure to play into Jupiter's hands as it would reduce the likelihood of her missing her thunderbolt attack being at close quarters. This was going to be Max and his team's second bat like pokemon victim of the day, a sad repercussion of their training and search for a Sableye to add to the team.

As silly as Woobat's appearance was it was pretty smart for a bat unlike the more common Zubat. It also had the advantage of being able to confuse its opponents with its psychic powers that Zubat could not take advantage of and that gave Woobat the confidence to approach Jupiter thinking she would not be able to score a hit if things worked out the right way. Woobat took advantage of its speed to build up its psychic energy so it could strike first realizing that if its plan did not work as intended this battle could end very badly. As Woobat noticed Jupiter also building up her own energy the bat had to act fast as it sent a wave of psychic energy at Jupiter trying to confuse her. Against all odds the first part of its plan had worked as Jupiter became disoriented by the Confusion attack. As she swayed from side to side it was not clear if she would still be able to hit her target or not as she could not even stand still long enough to aim her attack. Somehow she was able to fire off the bolt of electricity as it flew towards Woobat at a high speed scoring a direct hit in an amazing stroke of luck. Woobat shrieked in pain as the electricity surged throughout its body before falling to the ground knocked out in a single blow. Woobat's luck had run out as the Confusion attack even with its range did not allow it to stay far enough away to avoid Jupiter's attack. As the battle came to a close Jupiter shook off the disorienting effects of the Confusion and was relieved to see things go her way against the odds. Jupiter gained 2 levels and is now level 20. She is trying to learn Take Down but she already knows 4 moves. Would you like her to forget a move so she can learn Take Down? OOC: Scyther egg has 5622/6000 words needed to hatch.

Maxwell king » OOC: Might just try to find an aron or Gastly Woobat was deceptively quick, something Max was a little surprised about, the bat pokemon appeared to be more adept to the strain of battle than the Zubat that had approached them before. Jupiter was covered in an aura of psychic energy that the wild Woobat had used against her, the sheep pokemon was clearly disoriented as a result of the attack, however was somehow still able to launch her dangerous thunderbolt attack towards her opponent. Luckily despite her disorientation the electric type pokemon's attack hit the bat pokemon directly, leaving it shrieking in pain before collapsing to the ground unconscious.
"Well that went just about how I expected it to go."
Jupiter had shaken off the effects of Woobat's Confusion attack, the jovial sheep pokemon bounced around in excitement, she had decisively been victorious in the short-lived battle. Jupiter was particularly pleased with the fact that Max had been using her in alot of battles recently, though Max was doing so primarily out of necessity as Dark Cave was littered with bat pokemon like Zubat and Woobat. Max had been contemplating leaving Dark Cave as he and his team were causing alot of commotion within the area, though he suddenly remembered that while in Violet City he had heard that a species of pokemon known as Aron were residents of Dark Cave. Intrigued by the potential to add an Aron to his ever evolving team of pokemon was something Max was not going to pass up so easily.
"Look despite what I said earlier we're going to stay a little longer, I'm looking for an Aron now so keep your eyes peeled!"
Jupiter looked pleased by her trainers decision to stay in the cavern, she was hoping this meant she would be called into battle again, she was certainly feeling stronger after every experience. Alter didn't heed much attention to his new trainers decision, the loner pokemon felt as though he was simply being strung along on this journey. Max continued to walk forward as his two pokemon partners outside of their pokeballs walked beside him, the trio was well aware that their next opponent was likely to appear from within the shadows of the cavern, after all they had travelled fairly deep already. The almost dormant egg that Max had been cradling this whole time begun to shake violently so suddenly, it seemed it was almost time for the pokemon inside to emerge and meet its new trainer and teammates. OOC: Jupiter won't be learning Take Down! Just leaving this note here so I remember that once Scyther hatches I'll chuck Max's EXP. Share on it and also put the Muscle Band on Anubis!

Being so deep in the dark cave Max's efforts to search for another Pokemon were not in vein however it was not the one he was searching for as a purple shadow rushed past him in the dark. Every few seconds the shuffling of small feet could be heard running around him but nothing came into view until the figure stopped long enough to look at Jupiter and its diamond eyes reflected the bright light. At this point there was no mistaking the identity of the mystery Pokemon as Sableye. The ghostly Pokemon only realized it's mistake when it tripped over it's own foot and Max looked right at it. Though the element of surprise was no longer on its side the small purple Pokemon still had its odd typing to help it out. For the time being though it could no longer use the shadows to try and escape as its eyes would give away it's position wherever it tried to run and its unique appearance made it impossible to hide with any of the other Pokemon in the cave to get away from Max. With a battle being its only option Sableye started to walk towards Max with a claw pointed out as if it were daring him to try and win a battle while growling " Sabeye" every few steps trying to stay as tough looking as it could despite its small size. Sableye might not have been the Pokemon Max was after but it was quite rare in the cave and it was rather unique among the Pokemon in the cave. Either way Max was not going to be able to run from this battle as Sableye was way too angry to let him escape without a battle. A wild Sableye (Level 15) is itching for a fight, please select a Pokemon.

Maxwell king » OOC: Might just try to find an aron or Gastly The dark and eerie nature of Dark Cave certainly wasn't for the feint of heart, for Max it was an enjoyable day out exploring and training his team of pokemon. Max was determined to have his team at their peak potential so that he would well and truly be prepared to challenge Bugsy the gym leader of Azalea Town.
After their recent battle against Woobat things had mostly been silent within the cave, though it did not take very long before Max and his crew had company. A small purple shadow dashed through the dark of the cave, attempting to use stealth to remain unseen. Jupiter's flash ability came up huge for Max as it had illuminated the shadow as it remained still for a moment staring at Max's electric type partner, the purple shadow turned out to be a Sableye.
The wild Sableye appeared to be aware that it had made a mistake emerging from the shadows and now had no easy escape route, instead the diamond eyed pokemon stared angrily towards Max and pointed towards him, it appeared as though it was prepared to fight. Max was all too happy to oblige as he retrieved a pokeball from his backpack and released a pokemon from inside. Crimson the freshly evolved Charmeleon emerged from within and was raring and ready for battle as he pulled his go-goggles down and looked directly towards the wild Sableye.
"I'm sure you've been itching to get some action in Crimson, let's get this show on the road with a Flamethrower attack!"
Max's Scyther egg that he had cradled in his arms begun to shake violently and the shell begun to crack, it was clearly time for the bug type pokemon to emerge from its temporary home. A huge smile could be seen on Max's face as his focus was entirely upon the hatching of his egg, meanwhile Crimson prepared to unleash his dangerous flamethrower attack upon the wild Sableye.
OOC: Max's Scyther Egg has acquired enough words to hatch
