Lenore did a quick look around once again to gauge her progress versus the others. She saw a few tending their hooks with the supply of bait instead of casting straight away. Was that better than mindlessly swinging in her line every chance she got? It couldn't hurt... She picked some up daintily, trying to control her outward disgust as she did the thing. If she wasn't careful she might actually end up smelling like fish after this. Leftover Bait  |

Tristan arrived fashionably late to the event, not that he was particularly worried, he had fished too many times to count over the years. Tristan had to borrow a fishing rod from the conveners of the contest as he had not packed his own on the trip from Pacifidlog Town. Tristan waltzed up to the pier and cast the rental fishing rod into the water hoping to catch a fish that would blow the competition away.

And just like that Tristan had caught his fish Magikarp, the odd pattern that it had surely made it stand out. Tristan cast his rod back into the water, if he was going to win this contest he was going to have to catch up to the early lead that some of the other participants had established.
