New year had barely begun before Aglaia stood at the lake, ready to throw out her bait and hope for a good catch. She didn't really understood how she had been convinced to spend her new year like this, but on the other hand she didn't really have any other plans.
She threw out the fishing line as good as she could and reeled in when she felt somthing bite.

Aglaia was pleased with her fist fast catch and tried again

This was her first time out with this thing. The sport itself wasn't of particular interest to her, but there was one rare fish out there that she just had to get her mitts on. And the only way to conceivably get one was to get good.

Lenore had to cast the line a few times before she could manage to get it anywhere reasonable in the water, deathly afraid of catching some of her bushy clothing in the process.

Aglaia wanted to call more fish and did as the more skilled fisherman and threw out som bait.

Venom may be a Poison type lover, but he was no stranger to fishing. In fact, it was actually a hobby of his. During his free time, he always enjoyed getting a line in the water and seeing what he could catch. When he heard Johto had a fishing contest, he was excited, though not sure if he could win. Still, it was worth a try. His first fish was good, but this contest was far from over, as the ninja cast his line out for a second time.

Venom gave his second catch a grin, knowing that it was rarer then his first. But it still wouldn't be enough to win, so with that in mind, he cast his line out for a third time.

Time for another go. She glanced around at some of the others fishing much faster and more expertly than herself. While the coloring of the karp were quite the gander she stuck up her chin and hmphed to brush off how inept she was at casting the line.

The Master Fisherman gasped in shock as Aglaia reeled in the floundering loach Pokemon.
"My word, I have not seen one of those in a long time! Always thought they were extinct here."

Three catches so far, and all good ones. Venom was determined to keep it up, and reel in a real winner.
