Haley felt naked.
She had taken a 'vacation', if it could be called that. Really, it wasn't, mostly a small break from work to add some Pokemon to her team, and to train up some that had been neglected. There were a great many who, after checking their stats on her Pokedex, she realized she needed to train, to bring up so that they could be called upon at any moment, and be as ready as her personal favorites.
Which was why she found herself walking through the 'Grassy Meadows' of the 'Enlightened Forest'. The very names made her eye roll, but it was what it was. Most of her team were out and about, as she sought Pokemon to battle and, perhaps, capture. Scout the Sentret bounded ahead of her, leaping through the air, enjoying the high grasses that reminded him of when he was a kit. Sirius the Growlithe trotted along easily at her heel, as though she were on a lead, but was far too well trained to need one. And Batracho the Salandit, the last of her team outside of her Poke Ball, slithered along behind her, looking around with eyes narrowed with distaste. She knew why they were here, but that didn't mean she had to like it. Sandy the Sandshrew and Gohma the Spinarak remained in their Poke Balls until they were called upon.

Haley had discarded her Team Rocket gear for this outing, which caused some of her discomfort. Instead, she wore jeans that had been cut and modified for the comfort of her bad leg, a white undershirt and a black hoodie to fight the chill in the air. She wore her plain eye-patch, the one lacking the R, and was using her cane as she walked.
