Wings of a butterfly (Leilani's Dying wish quest)

They trotted quickly through the forest, Lei and her mudbray Tarok who carried her swiftly and loyal through the land like he used to do back in Alola. They looked around curiously as it was quite different from what they were used to but they still held a good speed as they had an appointment Lei didn't want to miss.

Tarok pricked his ears when he noticed someone further down the road and Lei gave him a nudge in the side with her heels. It got him to curve his neck proudly and lift his feet higher so he was prancing elegantly as they passed the young boy with a net standing at the side of the road.
Lei nodded politely but didn't slow down, they were in no risk to be trampled by Tarok and she still wanted to get to their destination on time. It was not good to let a new employer wait the first time you met them, that much she knew.
The boy waved and called to get her to stop and she gave Tarok the order a bit reluctantly.
Lei listened to the boy's coughing request with disbelief.
"Just to be sure I understand you correctly young man, you want to give me, a complete stranger, a pokemon in the hope that I will breed you a lot more and evolve them all to you?" She asked and tried to make it clear how weird his request sounded.
"It is a big risk you are taking since you don't know me," she told him and eyed the little scatterbug beside him.
Then she looked closer at him, and he didn't look too well. His parents really should take him to the doctor, some parents really shouldn't have children.
"But you're in luck, my name is Leilani Keoloha and I would never betray you for something like that. Sure I can help you evolve you some of these pokemon if you please," She said with a smile. Either the pokemon where all over the place and it would be an easy task, or else it would be harder to find and then it would just be a bonus now her job was going to be collecting pokemon for a professor.
Giving them back to the boy would be no problem, she doubted she had any use for them afterwards, she hadn't heard of any of the butterfly-like pokemon should be strong.

"Oh wow, really? *cough*" the young boy answered, his spirits lifted so much that the death grip of his illness ebbed into the background for just a moment. "I can't thank you enough Leilani. You'd be my hero for doing this." The sickly boy smiled up at her. A shining knight on a valiant steed, a glimmer of sunlight beaming down onto her through the thickening storm clouds. It was almost a fairy tale.

"*cough cough, wheeze* I'll be right around here when you come back. I like to come out here everyday to be with my bugs," he explained, taking a seat on the near cut tree trunk that lined the road. It was a quiet area; peaceful. "And every time you show me a new pattern I'll have a fitting reward for all your hard work Leilani."

"Good luck!" he cheered her on. But he didn't want to take up any more of her valuable time to hear his sad life story. The boy waved goodbye to her and watched her ride off.

Lei nudged Tarok more insistently and he picked up speed while lifting his hooves higher. She hadn't forgotten the kid, of course she hadn't, it was not like she had had many chances to travel back to New Bark, or time to go on a detour the times she had visited the professor here to show him her progress. It wasn't really an important task either and it was really the kid's fault that he just handed some random person his pokemon and expected her to throw everything she was doing away to spent all her time living for him. He should get a life. She raised her chin in defiance.

She spotted a well known face and her shoulders dropped, much to her surprise as she hadn't realized she had tensed up as she had gotten closer. She gave Tarok the signal to slow down to a walk and they calmly approached him, when he noticed her she sent him a beaming smile.
"Here you have me back, do you remember what you asked of me?" She asked him with a smirk, "It took a bit longer than expected, but I'm getting there!" She declared proudly and showed him four pokeballs.
"Catch!" She urged and looped all four pokeballs at him at once, then froze as she realized what she had done and that he might not be able to.

"Leilani!" Kent shouted excitedly, as he had been waiting for the woman to return with some dazzling Vivillons. Then, he withheld his cough for a few seconds, but his sickness won and he ended up coughing a bit.

Before he got a chance to reply, he made himself leaped to grab the four Pokeballs. He was in his early stages of the unnamed sickness, so he could still move somewhat. He surprised himself by catching all the Pokeballs successfully, but quickly went into a coughing fit, as the movement agitated his internal organs and fluids. When the coughing subsided again, he wiped his hands and thanked the trainer.

"They're so cool! This one's like the sun, this one's like the sunset--" he withheld his cough, "--and this one looks like the desert I see in picture books!" His eyes froze as he stared at the fluttering bugs, amazed.

It was time again, and this time she had been a bit faster about it. Of course it was not her main priority but it had been some nice rewards he had given her for them (and his parents had secretly given her something as well, upon the happy look on his face), which was obviously the only reason she even spent time on doing this, now she didn't needed anymore for her work for Professor Elm.
Tarok was carrying her again, striding energetically while the four vivillons were fluttering around her.

"Kent! Look what I have for you!" She called and pretended she didn't look forward to his gratefulness and felt warm inside from his smile. She just happened to come by today and could spare him a short visit.
"I have brought you the pink meadow one, the grey monsoon one, you better believe how soaked we got! The brown river one I must admit I'm not quite sure when evovled, and the colorful Pokemart one!" She introduced and ordered them to fly to their new owner.

      The young boy leaned against a tree, he should not be out in the cold because of how sick he was. But since he was not long for this world he tried to take joy in each day that he woke. A soft blanket of snow had settled upon the earth the night before, most of it still remained untouched. It was beautiful mornings like this that Kent was happy to still be walking. Movement out of the corner of his eye had him turning his neck to the side. Someone was kicking down the path towards him, they rode a cute Mudbray who was more than happy to trudge through the snow. Now that was an idea, Kent thought. If he could find a pokemon that he could ride around on, then he would be able to see more than his legs could take him. Then again, he would have to catch the wild pokemon and he did not think he had it in him. There was also a fluttering of color following the rider, Kent felt his mood soar at the sight.

      As the rider slowed to a stop just in front of him, Kent could not help the smile that split his lips. "Leilani! I'm so happy you have..." Kent's dang cough was back, shaking his shoulders and making him wheeze. After a few moment he recovered. "come by." This day had already been a bright one but with the visit from Leilani he was even happier. "And what have you brought with you?" Fluttering around the mounted girl was not one, not two, not three, BUT FOUR Vivillon. Each of the fluttering pokemon were of different colors, showing how much dedication Leilani had put into evolving them. "WOW! The sights you must have seen to evolve these four." This is why Kent had asked the trainer to evolve his pokemon. He could only imagine the adventure that had brought these four Vivillon to him. When Leilani offered the pokeballs to him, Kent took them eagerly. "I know you cannot stay long, so I will say thank you so much! And wish you the best of luck!"
