Midori was starting to look tired; Vitra watched as she took the Furret's attack without a sound and struck back with her vines, but even the health she got back from her seeds didn't seem to perk her up much. Okay then. She needed Midori to win this- as bad as she felt dumping all of this on the Bulbasaur's shoulders. Neither Kai or Shiro were strong enough to beat the Furret at this point, and she didn't want to risk Midori's health any further.
Reaching into her bag, Vitra pulled out a bottle of potion and darted over to administer it to Midori. "Almost done. You're doing so great," she whispered to her very first, hugging the Bulbasaur tight before backing away again, hoping that the boost would be enough to help Midori win the battle. "Vine Whip again, Midori! Let's finish this fight!"

The furret clearly knew what the potion was for, it had probably seen it been used before when others had taken the trial. It didn't seem much concerned though and was nice to wait until Vitra had withdrew to a safe distance before it rushed forward and let Midori feel its sharp claws again. It hurt but the bulbasaur could much easier handle it now she had been given that extra energy. The energy the leech seed transferred helped even more, and now the furret began to look at bit worried. The energy was leaving the furret fast and now time was working against it. It hadn't been a problem before but now Midori looked awfully energetic and changed everything. Now furret needed to get the bulbasair down as fast as possible and it became a blur as it rushed forward and slammed into Midori and sent her tumbling to the ground. The furret was panting and only braced itself as the bulbasaur's vine whips slashed through the air, it could barely stand but its will to fight was still intact. That is until the leech seed took the rest of what little energy it had left and it fell down on all fours breathing hard. After a few moments it lifted its head proudly and gave a court nod to Midori and Vitra, acknowledging their victory. It gestured to the pedestal which was behind it in the cave and the spun around and disappeared into the darkness. Silence fell over the place, except for the sounds of wild pokemon chirping and digging and living their lives in the area. Then someone started to clap and Maui stepped out from behind a rock. "Well done! That was certainly a test but you pullet it through!" She said cheerfully and gestured towards the amulet on the pedestal if Vitra hadn't already went there to take it. "I hope you like your prize! It will make it possible for you to meet pokemon from our home region, the Alola, don't ask me how," she chuckled. "I'm afraid this is all there was to the trial, I hope you had fun. If you are looking for more there are others spread around this region and if you are as successful there as you have been here, they will be no problem, and will give you the ability to try out z-moves!" Maui continued eagerly and gestured back towards the way they had come in. "Time to head back to the entrance, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask," she added and would follow Vitra out. Totem Encounter

The last attacks were a whirl: the furret gave its all in hopes of winning, and it might have if Vitra hadn't given Midori that potion. The medicine, however, gave the Bulbasaur enough health to last through the attacks and give one more of her own. The effects of the Leech Seed was the final blow and it gestured toward the pedestal in the entrance of the cave before vanishing into the darkness of the cavern. Vitra threw up her arms and cheered, grinning down at the two Pokemon who'd both helped her win.
She jumped, a little startled by the clapping, and glanced over to where Maui stepped into view. She smiled again and then blinked at the pedestal. Oh, right, the Furret had motioned to it. Vitra approached, carefully picking up the amulet and storing it away in her bag to protect it. She headed back toward Maui, listening as the woman explained other trials located around the region and nodding. "I wasn't sure I'd win," she admitted, and looked down at Midori and Kai again; the Rattata blinked at her and then scampered up her leg to perch on her shoulder. "It was... exciting." And she couldn't help but beam again.
No, she could never just stay home like her parents and her brother wanted. This was more excitement in a week than she'd had almost in her entire life. Give it up? Go back home and be the quiet, mannered child who did as told and never asked questions?
No. That was never going to happen. Vitra was free, and she had every intention of remaining so. Her journey had only just begun, and she had so much farther to go.
