Aglaia smiled and Saury relaxed as Aglaia went to the flowers and picked up the pokeball.
She gestured silently to her ivysaur and they left the area quickly to avoid angering the other combees.
When they had gotten far enough away Aglaia looked at her clock and turned to Saury.
"We still have some time left, let's try see what else we can find," she said and studied Saury, who sagged a bit but obediently followed her as they found a little overgrown path between some bushes.

The girl's travel into a different section of the park would lead her right to another nectar lover, but of a different kind. With all the action going on this one was fairly agitated. It had been pushed away from all the larger flowers thanks to all the kids trying to chase it. So far it had managed to avoid the trainers, but now... now it was started to get a bit tired.

Just as it began to catch its breath Aglaia and Saury came up. The colorful bug huffed and turned to them. It eyed the grass type and decided it was done running.

Aglaia stopped when the beautifly appeared, it always reminded her of Dorthea's Madam, althouhg this looked a bit winded.
"Go use Sleep Powder," Aglaia asked calmly, she wasn't yet sure which pokemon she wanted to keep in the end, the combee or perhaps this one. She was certain that she saw Saury sagging as he stepped forward and did as asked.

The Beautifly stretched out its magnificent wings and gave a cute and mighty 'rrowwrr' as if to warn its opponent. The young twenty-something year old trainer and her bright green quadruped with the even brighter pink flowering bulb on its back would not take the butterfly by surprise. Or would they? Saury released a thick cloud of sparkling powder that covered the Beautifly with a layer of the dust. The Beautifly's wings curled in a little, and the bug Pokemon would slowly drift to the ground where it would curl up and fall asleep.

Aglaia looked surprised, the powder worked really well today but there also weren't much wind to blow it off course and such. But now she had it asleep she would have to make a quick decision, did she want to try catch this one or keep the one she had already gotten secured?
"Saury, give it a couple of Tackles," Aglaia said and frowned when her ivysaur sighed but then trotted forward. Aglaia scratched her head, she hadn't noticed before but her starter really looked like he didn't want to battle although he had always done as she had asked him.

Saury ran towards the slumbering Beautifly as it slept and delivered a decent Tackle causing a fair amount of damage. Somehow the bug slept through the impact but as the Ivysaur turned around and tackled Beautifly again the big finally awoke from it's slumber. Though it was in quite a lot of pain from the two Tackle attacks it had enough energy to summon a powerful Gust causing a fair amount of damage to Saury despite the level difference.

Saury winced as the wind hit him, now could the flying pokemon always make it feel sting as needles? It was rare that a natural wind was anything else than annoying and perhaps made it hard to walk.
Aglaia called out her order and he steeled himself as he reluctantly trotted forward to deliver another Tackle.

His trainer watched him thoughtful and wondered if there were pokemon who didn't like to fight. Of course there would be, there were a lot of different kind of pokemon so it would be weird if all of them loved to battle.
Could it be that her starter pokemon wasn't that interested in it? He had never not done as she asked him but right now he definitely didn't look like he enjoyed it but perhaps that was just because it was against bugs?

The butterfly's delicate frame just wasn't up for another tackle from the behemoth. Even Saury's weakest tackle was enough to throw the bug out of the air. The wild one huffed and looked for a ball coming for it... but there wasn't one. Did it catch a break? Beautifly hopped back into the air, each flap of its wings an exercise in pain tolerance. It turned and made to escape the trainer while it still could.

Saury dealed with the butterfly as easy as Aglaia would have expected, she looked at her watch, they soon would need to head back.
She gestured to Saury to follow her back towards the entrance and her ivysaur peeked up and eagerly followed her. She was certain he didn't want to battle today, the question was if it was just today and against the opponents there was, or if it was a more general dislike. She had no clue what to do about it either, or if there was anything she could do at all.

As Aglaia headed towards the entrance of the park a strange light appeared in a nearby patch of grass. At first the light was not very bright but the closer she got the brighter it grew. Once she was close enough a Volbeat backed up from the grass and turned around to see her and Saury standing there. Not wanting to get captured without a fight the bug prepared for a tough fight.

Both Aglaia and Saury paused at the blinking light in the bush, which turned out to be a volbeat.
"That one looks a bit like Donna," Aglaia said to herself and Saury glanced at her, wondering if she planned on getting this one as mate to her illumise she had caught at an earlier of these contests.
"It looks like it wants to fight, alright Saury, use Leech Seed and follow it up with a Tackle," Aglaia ordered, and first when she had given her order remembered that Saury perhaps didn't like it.
The ivysaur sent the seeds flying and then trotted forward to tackle the bug.

Volbeat's first impression of Saury didn't leave it much hope of trying to out power him. The beefy ivysaur looked like one tough customer, so the firefly wriggled and whirled its curly antenna and sent forth a disorienting wave of energy at ivysaur just after the seeds landed solidly on the bug pokémon's carapace. Before Volbeat even knew it Suary was ahead. The seeds began sapping away at his energy and the grass type was already barreling his way over for a tackle. Volbeat was beginning to panic a little, unsure how to deal with such a behemoth. So... it just did what any bug would instinctively do as the larger pokémon was on top of it: struggled. It was pretty ineffective, and had left Volbeat terrible wide open, but Saury didn't keep the bug pinned so he chalked that one up as a small success.

"Oh no! Snap out of it Saury, come on, you can do it!" Aglaia called out when her ivysaur clearly got affected by the wave volbeat sent out, at least he had gotten the seeds on it first. They would help him last should this go awry, he was a grass type against bugs after all.
Whether it was the shout or Saury was just too experienced to lose direction by a little bit of confusion, he managed to land a very powerful tackle that made Aglaia gape. She kept forgetting how strong he had become, perhaps that was why he didn't like to battle? She could understand if he disliked to battle things that really didn't stood a chance against him.
"One more time, finish this and then let us get out of here," she said quietly and Saury Jumped forward to Tackle the volbeat a second time.

With a regretful meep Volbeat was thrown head over heel and rolled back into some bushes. Some rustling could be heard shortly afterward that got further and further away leaving Saury a victor!
