Aglaia looked around, the bell had just started and the other participants were rushing out to find the hiding pokemon as fast as possible.
Aglaia was in no hurry, she had been here many times before and had gotten one or two good catches here already. Besides she wasn't motivated to try win it, she was her because her grandfather had given it as a task for her to participate yet again, and demanded it had been with Saury. She wasn't sure what he thought she would gain from it, her ivysaur was clearly much stronger than most other pokemon present here so it would be limited what he learned from it as well.

"Well, we better start looking, where do you think we should go?" Aglaia asked Saury as he had been really good at leading the way. He sighed and looked around gloomily, he'd prefer not to have to go around and attack random pokemon just to try catch them, this was a step back as he couldn't really get Aglaia to chat with them.
He sat down even though he felt guilty, this was technically going against your trainer's wishes, wasn't it? Aglaia frowned confused but didn't say anything and so they waited at the starting line.

In the desperate crawl to escape the center of the park once all the commotion a little black bug managed to find its way smack into one of the more quiet trainer pairs. With Saury sitting the grass ahead was stationary, and so the Scatterbug didn't even know they were there until it was too late.

"AH!" Aglaia shrieked jumped back as the scatterbug bursted out of the grass. Saury, well trained as he was, jumped forward and sent a couple of razor leaves at it before he thought about it.
He blinked a bit surprised when he realized what had happened and he glanced worried towards the scatterbug to see how it was doing.
Aglaia fidgeted and glanced around embarrassed while hoping all the other trainers were too busy to have noticed her shout, she didn't dare to look at anyone should they be looking in her direction.

The bug squeaked right along with Aglaia's surprised cry and went straight into battle mode. Luckily Saury was there to step jump in between and catch the young black bug first. There was a flurry of razor leaves whilst the Scatterbug scurried, committed, to its horrible plan of attack. It managed one small bite on the grass type before being rolled away by the force of Saury's attacks.

Aglaia mumbled a praise for Saury and then lead him away from there in a rush, embarrassed of her reaction and what other would think if they had seen her.
They reached some trees at the edge of the park and Aglaia leaned against a trunk as she hid her face in her hands. Saury watched her for a moment and then looked up into the treetop to avoid her being surprised from anything from that direction.

Saury's caution was well warranted as not too long after Aglaia settled herself beneath the tree a point bug poked its head out from a knothole partway up the trunk. It looked down at the pair then puffed itself up, growling and brandishing the poison stinger sticking out of its head in their general direction as it slowly crawled down toward them.

Saury looked on tiredly and sighed when the weedle appeared and he looked at Aglaia who was still too embarrassed to pay any attention to her surroundings. She didn't look like she planned on going anywhere soon nor like she would give any orders.
He sighed deeply and focused on the bug in the tree and waited for it to come closer.
Aglaia peeked up from her hands as she had heard him sighing and she looked puzzled at his expression as he had his attention on something.. above her?! She scrambled to one side to get out of the way before she looked up alert and saw the bug in the tree.
Saury made a lumbering leap at the weedle a couple of times.

<Saury used Tackle. Weedle used Bug Bite. Saury used Tackle. Weedle fainted!>

The small barbed poisonous brown caterpillar wasn't quite ready for the large leafy green Pokemon's powerful Tackle. Saury knocked the small bug Pokemon to the forest floor with his powerful Tackle. The Ivyusaur's foot was enough of a powerful punch to send the little larvae flying from the trunk to the ground. The Weedle struck back, flinging itself to bite down as hard as it down on Saury's leg. The large green partner Pokemon responded as swiftly, tackling the little creton again, knocking it out and causing the Weedle to faint.

Aglaia took a step forward towards the weedle but then stopped herself, she had gotten a soft spot for that pokemon after having met Wystan. She reminded herself that not all weedles were like her beedrill and that there probably had been a good reason for Saury to act so swiftly.
She was glad she had such a reliable pokemon and she smiled grateful to him, only to frown a bit at his resigned look he had. Aglaia looked thoughtful at him and then gestured for him to follow as they continued along a path that lead in between the trees.

Treading deeper into the park the pair would come across a line of bright flowers. Various colors were scattered amongst the patch to make it feel more wild-like. Something that definitely attracted a certain kind of pokémon, which Aglaia would find out as a small group of bees buzzed about. They were busy enjoying the foreign flora, blissfully unaware of the trainer. That or just uncaring of her presence.

Soon all but one flew off to another flower patch, leaving a very easy target for the contest. It looked very strong. Unless Aglaia engaged though the combee looked happy to just continue doing its pollen collection.

They came across some combees and Aglaia stopped to look at them swarming the flowers and glanced at Saury while she thought about if they should try capture one of those and how to do it then.
One of the comebee made it easy when it left the others and made itself an easy target, it looked strong but Saury was good at handling those in general.
Aglaia looked closely at Saury when she gave her order.
"Go ahead and get its attention, and give it a Sleep Powder," She said and he sighed as he stepped forward to do as told.

The bee continued about its business, gently hovering over sections of flower and gathering the pollen for future use. It made no preparations at all for Saury's approach. With the bug already being pretty relaxed the sleep powder even had a simple time of overcoming the wild pokémon's senses and lulling it to sleep. Combee yawned and softly floated down onto the flower bed sound asleep.

Aglaia had to take her attention off of Saury to ready a pokeball and throw it at the sleeping bee, that was what she was here for after all. If it would win her anything she wasn't sure, she usually wasn't much lucky there but she liked it, it didn't look at scary as some of the other pokemon you could meet.
She glanced at her ivysaur, it was hard to tell from her position behind him but he hadn't seemed very happy about this, perhaps he never had?

Despite the Combee being none the wiser about the surprise attack, the ball rocked furiously when it encapsulated the sleeping Pokemon. And it kept rocking until it split open and showed the Combee still sleeping, though was the sleep turning a bit restless?

Aglaia made a grimace and found yet another pokeball, took aim and threw it at the combee. She hoped this one would work and that it would end without too much of a ruckus. The other combees was still nearby after all, and perhaps they would decide to come to their comrades aid, if they realized what was going on here.
Actually it was a bit funny how it had been able to resist and jump out again even if it was sleeping, perhaps it had something to do with what it was dreaming?

Saury tensed as he readied himself for the combee to break free and potential attack him in retaliation.
