Tondra charged forward and easily wrapped the cacoon in a billow of flame. With the fire flickering through the grasses the sticky bug managed to roll itself away in the wavering shadows.
 Tondra grew to LV 21

Tondra stopped and looked around confused, where had the rock gone? Aglaia caught up to her and was panting heavily.
"Where did it go? You didn't burn it entirely, did you Tondra?" Aglaia asked worried and the blitzle stared at her like she was crazy, what was she talking about?
"The pokemon you attacked, where is it?" She continued but Tondra just stared dumbfounded at her, she hadn't attacked any pokemon!
They looked at each other confused but as they couldn't explain the misunderstanding to each other, they had to just let it go. After having looked around and found no trace of some horrible burned cocoon, Aglaia gestured to the confused blitzle to follow her and they continued around the lake.

They continued through the paths of the large city park into a darker and slightly more moist area; freshly watered perhaps. Droplets sparkled off of the vegetation, making what spots of color from petal and mushroom glisten. But then... on another pass over the area there were two glistening orbs that didn't belong to a plant. Big ol' bright bug eyes blinked.

They left the lake as it didn't seem like there were many bugs out there in the open, and followed a path in under the canopy. It soon became much more humid and Tondra paused to take a few sips of a water puddle but otherwise stayed close to Aglaia. They were quiet as their misunderstanding still hung in the air between them, and they didn't know what to do with it, but ignoring it didn't really help this time.
Tondra snorted surprised when what she had thought to just be mushrooms suddenly moved and blinked. Aglaia spotted the paras a moment later and shuddered from the knowledge of what those mushrooms probably was doing to the poor pokemon.
"Ask if it will battle, and if yes use Flame Charge," Aglaia said and the blitzle trotted forward and neighed at the paras before setting herself on fire for preparation of the battle.

Once the fire was lit the paras shuddered and began hissing its species name. Eyes narrowing the little insect scuttled onto the path and raised its pincers in clear response to the question of battle. Unfortunately for it the advantage was well in Tondra's favor. Fast as lightning the striped equine raced across the space between the two pokémon and trampled in fiery fury against the rather flammable creature it turned out. Filled with instant regret the paras squealed and ran away into a little burrow. Tondra grew to LV 23! She's trying to learn Pursuit; forget an old move? |

The battle was over before it even started and Tondra looked quite surprised, was that really it?
"Wow, double weakness really makes a difference," Aglaia said impressed and Tondra looked at her confused. This time Aglaia could guess what it was about and she could explain that it had no defenses against fire, since both its grass and bug typing really got burned hard from it.
Tondra actually looked a bit guilty after that, and glanced at where the paras had disappeared. Aglaia gave her a few reassuringly pats and lead they way along the path.

It was angry and moving rather fast; though a snail in comparison to the blitzle herself. The large yellow bug swooped down above them then began pacing side to side, cutting off their route ahead. "A beedrill!" Aglaia exclaimed eagerly when she saw the pokemon and the laughed awkwardly, it wasn't like she needed another one. Wystan was more than enough but he had made her love beedrills.
She continued to grin when she felt right at home, she wasn't in any doubt what the wild bug wanted to do and she nodded, they would give it the battle it wanted. Tondra was already stomping the ground impatiently.
"Give it a Shock Wave and let's see what it says to that," Aglaia decided and Tondra narrowed her eyes at her target as she took aim before releasing her electrical attack.

Aglaia watched the beedrill with a sad smile, it almost felt like she was battling Wystan and she was torn between wanting to finish the battle and not wanting to hurt the bug too much. She would have to come to this part at some point, when there weren't a contest running, so that she could watch the bug types in their own environment.
It was not easy for Aglaia to give the order.
"Tondra, Flame Charge," and she winced as Tondra got surrounded by flames in expectations of what would happen next. Perhaps the beedrill would be smart enough to just turn tail and flee.

After the fiery display from the equine the beedrill was indeed smart enough to turn around and leave the trainer be.  Tondra grew to LV 24!
