The flame tail bipedal lizard noticed the small flying fairy bug before Zaiden had the chance to catch up. Kogasu smirked and began sharpening her claws viciously against each other as she prepared for a good – and possibly quick – fight. The Charmeleon rushed off with a swift kick off the ground as she ran towards the Cutiefly with one mighty paw raised as high as possible. Kogasu would swing down with all her might, aiming to scratch the Cutiefly with her razor-sharp nails. “Kogasu, wait!” Zaiden came running up from behind, huffing and puffing. But it was a little too late to chance the course of the battle now.
OOC: Kogasu uses Scratch.

Used Absorb! Kogasu [Blaze]: Normal... Used Scratch! The fly was barely a match for event just the charmeleon's nose let alone claws. Kogasu's scratch looked like shredding a small jumpluff puffball clean through. Water welling in the corners of its eyes it returned the greeting with a puckering kiss that didn't seem to do much of anything to the fire type.

Zaiden walked up and tapped Kogasu on the shoulder as the fire lizard prepared for another attack. "Stand down, Kogasu." The young messy-haired teenager gently instructed as he pulled out on of the Park Balls. Zaiden's rich chocolate brown eyes narrowed down on the fairy bug as he winded up his 'pitch' and threw the Park Ball at the Cutiefly. It was quite the interesting bug, and if he didn't come across a better Pokemon, Zaiden would definitely love keeping this one as a souvenir.
OOC: 1 Park Ball used.

Used Stun Spore Kogasu [Blaze]: Paralyzed! The ball flew and succed in the tiny bug. It wiggled once.. it wiggled twice.. it wiggle for a third time and.... You caught... No! Wait? It jumped out again in just the very last moment! The cutiefly looked rather confused at what had happened and in self defense it sent spores flying in all direction, which Kogasu was unlucky to inhale a bit of. (ooc: so close! one percent off for catching it and so high chance for success! XD )

Zaiden mentally swore inside of his head as he watched the cute bug escape the ball and send a wave of spores all around them. Kogasu doubled over for a second as the pores sunk deep within her body and pulled her lips back into a vicious snarl. Who was this bug to come out of nowhere and try to attack her like that?! Before she had the chance to attack, though, Zaiden pulled out another ball and tossed it at the Cutiefly. Stay in this time, please! He mentally begged. He was sure another escape or two and Kogasu would finish the bug off before he could catch it.
OOC: Using another Park Ball.

The tiny bug wasn't done steaming up trouble, the second ball came flying and it flapped up a pink wind which blew the ball off course and it rolled away in the grass. The wind reached Kogasu as well but barely tickled her nose. (ooc: Darn this is a stubborn one O.o )

Zaiden growled underneath his voice. This bug was a pretty tough and determined creature for such a small, and rather dainty looking thing. A quick glance towards Kogasu's paralysis also made Zaiden a little more annoyed at the situation. "Kogasu, go ahead and attack again." Zaiden instructed with a nod. Perhaps they would come across a better bug type before the event was over? Kogasu rushed in without a second thought and reached out with her sharp claws to attack the Cutiefly.
OOC: Kogasu uses Scratch.

The huge claws which slashed down on it made it stagger back as much as something in the air can stagger. It stubbornly kept going and it fluttered exhaustingly closer to Kogasu and brushed against her. The fire type felt a light tingling as the bug took a bit of energy but it didn't really make any difference.

Zaiden's jaw dropped in astonishment. The little bug held on through all of this? He pulled out another Sports Ball as the flame-tailed lizard prepared for another assault of her claws. "Hang on, Kogasu." He informed her. He tossed the ball with a click at the small Cutiefly, hoping for a successful capture. This was one tough bug, but did he have enough time to search out anything better? It may be better to capture this one, then search, just in case...
OOC: Used another Sport Ball.

The Pokeball sailed through the air and even at this far distance Zaiden hit it true. It ball sucked it in and it fell to the ground without a single wiggle! Gotcha! Cutiefly Gender: [Choose] LV: 9 OT: Zaiden Kabila Moves: Absorb, Fairy Wind, Stun Spore Ability: Honey Gather or Shield Dust HP: 7% Balls Broke: 2 If you choose to keep this pokémon at the end of the contest it will be added to Zaiden's PC
 Kogasu grew to LV 17!

A cascoon? Immediately, Zaiden thought about his Shiwa and wished that he could let her back out of her confined Pokeball so that she could meet another one of her kind. But, I wasn't allowed to bring anyone but Kogasu... A slight sigh as he thought about it. The fire-lizard huffed out a breath of hot embers as it fired the flames at the bug type Pokemon, hoping to singe it out of their way.

The quiet ball of silk was no match for the ensuing flames that would quickly surround it. It attempted to harden its shell to lessen the heated effects but alas, it did nothing. The flames died down soon enough, but the cocoon was well into unconsciousness. Took the liberty of doing a runnin' shoes; hope that was alright ;D Luckily paralysis did not kick in! Kogasu grew to LV 19! She's trying to learn Fire Fang; forget an old move?

A Metapod? Zaiden stared at the green cocoon for a moment and briefly recalled his battle with the bug catchers before. Would it be better than the Cutiefly that had evaded so many balls and required him to lower its health so far down? Probably, maybe....He wasn't really all that sure. But the Cutiefly was more of a personal better choice over the Metapod. Kogasu growled, sharpening her claws as she readied for the attack. "You can use your flames, girl." Zaiden called, and in the blink of an eye Kogasu coated herself in flames and surged forward to attack her opponent.
OOC: Kogasu forgets Ember and learns Fire Fang. Also, Kogasu used Flame Charge. Self-updated new move.
