The Metapod stood no chance and Kogasu was ready for their next challenge, hopefully it would be something that actually would be a challenge this time.  Kogasu grew to LV 20!

After successfully beating off the Metapod, Zaiden called Kogasu over to his side. It took a few tries before his flame-tailed lizard came trotting up to him. He pulled out a small Paralyze Heal and sprayed it generously only Kogasu's skin to help her through her paralysis. "I know, I should have done it sooner. Ready to see what we can find?" She nodded and rushed through the grass. Kogasu's smile brightened as she spotted the butterfly. Before she could react, however, Zaiden pulled out a Park Ball and tossed it. That's a brilliant specimen. Zaiden thought as he marveled at the Butterfree's lovely colorations. OOC: Using Park Ball.  |

Well...that was a bust. Zaiden scratched underneath his chin as he considered his alternatives. What should he do now? Kogasu growled and lowered herself defensively, wanting to go in for the attack. "Kogasu, use Scratch." The messy haired lad instructed. The fire-lizard rushed forward with her sharp claws, aiming to take a nice big slice into the Butterfree and hoping to deal some serious damage. The event was almost up, after all, and he might not even have enough time to try and capture this one.

Zaiden was clever not to waste time and flung another sports ball at the butterfree, it hit its mark and started the vigorious battle which seemed to last forever. But, just as it seemed like the butterfree certainly would break free, the sports ball confirmed the capture. (the stubborn cutiefly jumped out of its containment and did a freedom dance as it escape) Butterfree Gender: [Choose] LV: 14 OT: Zaiden Kabila Moves: Gust, Confusion, Poison Powder, Stun Spore Ability: Compoundeyes HP: 71% Balls Broke: 1 If you choose to keep this pokémon at the end of the contest it will be added to Zaiden's PC

OOC: Oh, thanks! That was my game plan anyways. Zaiden traded the Cutiefly for the Butterfree. It seemed like the better choice out of the two, anyways. Then, another bug Pokemon that Zaiden remembered battling poked its head from around the corner of a large tree. Interesting. Wasn't that called a Weedle? "Kogasu, be careful of its barbs! Try using Fire Fang and show me what your new move can do." Kogasu rushed after the brown barbed caterpillar with hot flames that cloaked her teeth. She aimed to bite down as hard as she could on the tiny bug. |

The weedle squealed of fear and jumped from its perch, which was lucky as the flaming bite which Kogasu chomped down on the small branch it had been sitting on, could have cut it in half! For now it was only the stick that happened to and the weedle raced off surprisingly fast for such small thing, leaving Kogasu to spitting splinters out of her mouth and the branch to smolder. Kogasu is waaay too strong to learn anything from that overkill.
