The ralts also looked rather surprised at April's reaction to its attack, every other time it had used it the pokemon had just begun to act funny but it looked like it had really hurt the squirtle. It slowly touched the side of its head as it thought about it and waited patiently for its opponent to get ready again, which turned out to be someone completely different. The silcoon were quite opposite than the former, where April hadn't answered its question this one seemed to be trying to taunt it and was quite talkative. The Ralts tilted its head with a smirk. "What is it you are trying to do?" It asked and its eyes glowed again, "don't you think it would be safer underground?" it asked and to Oberon it sounded like it came from all around him and in a whisper while the world turned blurry. He didn't fall for it though so the ralts tried again, the exactly same thing as before and at the same strength. "Underground," the voice said dreamingly and digging down seemed really tempting although Oberon didn't have much to dig with, "aren't you a diglett? You live underground you know," the voice continued. It almost felt right but it didn't fit at all with Oberon's wish to fly which broke the spell and he was quick to shoot some needles at his attacker. The ralts winced at the pain before it carefully began to find and pull out the needles stuck in its side, and tossed them away. As the exchange of attacks took place, Trixie watched on, noting that both of the Pokemon seemed that much worse for wear, though Oberon was certainly not acting like it. <I am not a Diglett!> he insisted, the confusion having next to no effect on his mental state - not even a headache! Or would that be a full body ache? <You're the one who's gonna be put into the ground!> he taunted, as he watched the Ralts remove the needles. Sure, maybe these ones hadn't poisoned it, but the next batch certainly would.
...Or rather, that would have been the case, except that Trixie had seen enough of the fighting. She dug around in her backpack for one of the specialty balls she had gotten - a Nest Ball - and let it fly at the low level Ralts. Surely this would do the trick!

The ralts lowered its head a bit as Oberon protested against being a diglett and wanting to live underground. Why couldn't it get the confusion to stick as easy as with the meditites? "Are you sure?" It asked without answering his returned thread, "you kind of look like a rock, don't you feel like one?" It added and readied itself to try again just as Oberon was ready to try one more time to get it poisoned. It was all about who was the best, or the luckiest. It was a standoff between the two and only one would come out on top. Or it would have been if Trixie hadn't intervened and hurled a pokeball at the psychic type. It certainly did the trick, hitting the ralts and pulling it inside. It dinged its confirmation of the capture even before the pokeball touched the ground the first time. Oberon's needles came flying a moment later and bounced off the ball harmlessly as Trixie had been faster than he had. Congratulations! You caught the Ralts! Oberon could continue forever and grows +2 levels to [lvl 11]! What is this? Oberon tries to evolve into a Beautifly! If you allow it, he can learn Gust if he forgets another move. "Woohoo! We caught it!" Trixie couldn't contain her excitement as the Pokeball dinged in midair. She jumped for joy before scrambling over to the Pokeball, tossing it into her bag, and running back over to Oberon to scoop him up in her arms as well. "Great job, Oberon! I knew you could do it!" The bug Pokemon responded by flexing his eyes in his best approximation of a smile. Then they closed, and Trixie though her Pokemon wanted a nap - she couldn't exactly blame him. But then Oberon's entire body started to glow. Trixie released her hold and looked up in awe as the cocoon sprouted wings, before the glow faded and a Beautifly fluttered in front of her. "Oberon?" After their customary selfie for Professor Elm, she checked her phone for the time. It was getting to be a bit late in the afternoon, and she wanted to make it to Violet City before dark. Still, she supposed it couldn't hurt to look around for just one more Pokemon. Oberon fluttered in the air after her, getting used to his new wings. Oberon will forget Tackle and learn Gust. Please also change his Nature to:Bold. Oberon is a Pokemon with big dreams, and thinks very highly of himself. He's still very food motivated even after evolving into a beautiful flying Pokemon, and wishes to stuff himself full of delicious nectar so he can perform acrobatic tricks to impress humans. He has a one-sided rivalry with Robin.

As they continued in the rough direction of Violet the ground became less muddy, the sun even peaked out from behind the clouds and the temperature rose so it ended up being a nice warm summer day. It was easy to keep the right direction as the path they had found swayed back and forth but was running parallel with the road between Cherrygrove and Violet, and it could be seen in between the trees once in a while. Next to no people knew about this path so it was quiet and peaceful, it had also thinned out in the amounts of meditites so they had either been caught or had spread enough to blend in with the wildlife. Suddenly something soft bumped into the side of Trixie's head, and slowly rolled along around to her face, where the hoppip stared challengingly at her as the wind pulled it away and it did its best to keep an eye contact as it was slowly spun away from her. The wind then carried it towards Oberon and it spun its leaves more vigorously to change direction so it could bump into him as well, while it did its best to glare menacingly at him. A hoppip [lvl 5] is trying to pick a fight. Shiny: FeMLhUtz1-421-42

Something lightly bonked into the side of Trixie's head, then drifted in front of her face. She blinked once, twice in confusion. It was a pink blob? With leaves instead of wings? that was hovering in front of her. Surely it was an unusual species of Pokemon. She reached for her Pokedex which clicked on as it identified the floating blob as a Hoppip, a Grass/Flying type. Quite a strange combination.
As the Hoppip moved, Trixie swung around her arm to keep the Pokedex aimed at it, only to see it staring down Oberon. The Beautifly's response would not be nearly so gentle. <Try to bug me, will you?> he said in a newly high-pitched voice. <Guess I need to show you who the superior flier is.> Before Trixie could even give a command, Oberon started to fly in circles around the Hoppip, making sure to throw in a few dips, swoops, and loops here and there. While doing so his wings were flapping faster and faster until a miniature tornado had formed. He didn't really care about whatever the Hoppip wanted, though if it wanted to fight he was more than up to the challenge; but in the moment he only saw an annoying pest that was distracting his trainer from admiring him, and he wanted it gone.

The hoppip looked really offended at Oberon's retort. "I'm no bug! Don't compare me to that," it said disgusted, "and I'm not bugging anyone, you just don't know when to move when I come and then you must take the consequences!" It said snottily. "You think you got what it takes?" It said and laughed out loud eying Oberon's colorful wings unimpressed, it was certain that something that pretty couldn't do anything at all. It was quick to learn its lesson as it had no way of keeping up as Oberon darted around it, and as hoppips didn't really fly as much as just getting carried around as the wind took them, it was thrown around by his gust. Oberon's last blow of wind sent the part grass type straight at the ground where it glared at the beautifly and opened its mouth a couple of times but it had no strength left to do anything. Its leafy wings twitched a bit but that was all, it was impressive that it hadn't went out cold yet. Oberon blew all competition away and grows +1 level to [lvl 12]! "Oberon!" Trixie stuck her hands on her hips and sighed. She hadn't meant for him to just go all out like that, while she was still reading its dex entry no less! The Beautifly looked positively gleeful, and flitted his wings in front of Trixie, happy that he had her attention. It only lasted for a moment though as Trixie retrieved a Pokeball from her bag and tossed it at the Hoppip. At this point it was probably better off with her rather than lying passed out in the middle of the road. With such little energy remaining, the Hoppip couldn't put up a fight and the Pokeball clicked shut after a single shake. The rest of the journey to Violet City was uneventful, with bug and trainer enjoying the balmy sunshine. But right as they turned the corner onto Route 31, she could feel the harsh summer sun beating down on her. "C'mon, Oberon! Let's find a Pokemon Center." They raced the last part of the way into town and Trixie took a flying leap through the sliding glass doors, feeling the cool breeze of the Center's air conditioning brush past her face. They had made it! But she knew her next big challenge lay ahead: the first Gym, and the first Badge. Before that, though, she had some reporting to Prof. Elm to do. [words=226] Thread complete! Oberon will forget Poison Sting and learn Absorb.
