Yuki waited until the rain cleared up too get a move on. Too bad it didn’t clear until after sunset. Arriving during the storm left him a mess and shoes destroyed. It was only thanks to the charity of a kind old man these new shoes were on his feet. New for him, at least. A good look at the pair can tell anyone that they been through their own adventure. But they were still in good enough condition to use and fit him well. He’s never been picky too.
The beginning trainer sat in a tree log outside the city, on route 30. The first gym was in the next city and his Pokemon weren’t very strong. Not enough for the gym. He needs to fight more wild Pokémon before there is a single thought of winning against a experienced trainer. Now where to start fighting?

The Pokemon of the day would slowly make their way back to their nests as the sun cast its last glow upon the world and slowly fell below the horizon. The skies opened up to a brilliant display of colors that washed over the usual blue dome with a sea of vibrant reds, shimmering orange, and warm yellow hues. The last of the day was winding to a close. The further the sun crept past the horizon line, the darker the skies slowly became. The brilliant reds and yellows would slowly simmer, dimming down into dark blues and stark purple hues. The moon, who had been steadily and slowly following behind the sun in its former glory, would eventually overtake the skies and shine brightly in the night sky, surrounded by twinkling balls of gas that captivated many an onlooker. Cute green bugs had crawled up the trunks of the old oaks and pines that decorated route 30. Many of the buck-toothed beavers had hopped into the nearby rivers and dived underneath the waters to disappear into their dams, replaced by the nightly recruits that would watch over and guard their homes during the nocturnal hours. Once happy blue sheep with their big fluffy hides vanished and disappeared into their caves for their slumberly rests. Now, the night creatures took over the region – sounds of crickets calling out for friendship and night birds cawing would fill the air with a strange sort of lullaby. A small bug crawled out from a whole in the log that young Yuki had found himself sitting on. It popped its head up curiously and looked around, then ducked back into the secluded entrance with a shiver. The spiky purple-and-black haired youngster spooked it. After some time, it popped back up, then disappeared back into its hidden refuge as it tried to consider an alternative way around the trainer. After spotting a backdoor hole, the Weedle crawled out and tried to make a mad dash towards a nearby tree, hoping that the young lad didn’t hear the ruffling of the tall grasses where it dived into. A Weedle is running away! [Level 6]Will Yuki stop it and try to battle it?

Yuki took a look around at the Pokémon in his line of sight and didn’t find much. Mostly bugs and small birds. None of which were looking for a fight. With the rise of the moon, they all climbed their trees and made themselves comfortable for the night. No fighting energy in any of them. He can try to provoke a few, but that wouldn’t be fair or nice to them. Maybe some sleep is in order? Resume in the morning when Pokemon are more active?
He was ready to leave before a bug stuck itself out of the log. Was he sitting on someone’s home? It jumped out and started running for a tree. It must have been really scared. Yet, Yuki had the idea of throwing his one great ball at the Pokémon. There wasn’t many Pokémon on his team, which needed to be filled. His starley jumping out to fight if needed.

Life was scary when you were a little larvae all alone in the wilderness, especially with bird dropping without warning to pull you away to an unknown fate. The weedle had been lucky enough back when it was a new hatchling to have seen it happen to another of its kin the first time it saw one of the pokemon with the feathery appendages of the side of their bodies. They had been the reason of many nightmares, or daymares as the weedle had learned it was safer to be out when it was dark, and it had learned to always be near cover. It had also seen the strange two-legs who wore colorful leaves on their bodies and it knew from experience that they meant battles, so when Yuki decided to place his butt on its temporary home, it found it best to relocate and find a more safe spot to forage for food. At first it seemed like it had succeeded, no sound came from the human and no battle ensued. The weedle's little heart was pumping wildly as it crouched in the tall grass and looked for moving shadows. It carefully began to crawl through the grass to find another log to hide in when the day came about again, when a shadow passed it above and it froze in panic. Bird! It looked around frantically as it would need cover now! It spotted a bush close to another tree and rushed towards it but never got that far. Another shadow fell towards it and it was quite shocked to see the colorful rock fly towards it, it attempted to dodge but failed and it expected to be squashed beneath the thing. What happened instead was unheard of and it fought it wildly at first, but then it realized nothing happened and it was actually quite cozy in here. It relaxed. Starly learned a lot from watching and grows +3 levels to [lvl 4]! Congratulations! You caught yourself a weedle, please fill out the code below.[img src="https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/bw/weedle.png"][img src="http://www.serebii.net/itemdex/sprites/greatball.png" alt=" "] [b]Weedle[/b] Name: [choose] Gender: [choose] Level: 6 OT: Yuki Hayakawa Attacks: Poison Sting, String Shot Ability: Shield Dust Nature/Personality: [choose] (ooc: 1 great ball deducted. Yuki watched the pokeball land on the small bug and become a red light. The small device landed on the grass, in front of his bird, shaking a few times, and finally clicked. He should feel victory, but instead guilty. It clearly wasn’t the best way to capture a new Pokémon. Such a method will only make Weedle resistant towards being his Pokemon. Maybe some sleep will give them better circumstances to work with tomorrow? As darkness had fallen over the wilderness, most pokemon had ventured to their nest to sleep it out. A bit of splashing could be heard nearby so there were probably still a couple of bidoofs out doing some nighttime work, a dam always needed to be repaired after all. While a lot of pokemon did go to sleep, others were certainly even at this late hour, Yuki would get a glimps of a ralts in between the trees but it quickly disappeared without a trace. "Shut up!" A very familiar voice said up in a tree, "Get lost, I'm done with you!" It continued before switching to a more calm one, "your training really have helped, you are actually decent now," the voice said pleased and it rustled a bit in a nearby bush. The voice in the tree made a horrible screeching sound, which definitely wasn't from a human and which only a very few pokemon could do. Some leaves shook in the treetop and a chatot became visible as it moved around, these birds certainly didn't sleep the night away although this one looked really alert as it scouted the area and mumbled something incoherently which was with the same voice as before. "You need to do better than that," the chatot said with the familar voice, sounded disappointed. "Ember!" The same voice ordered but this time from the bush which had rustled before, a cyndaquil leaped out and the chatot squawked shocked and instantly began flapping to get away, narrowly avoiding the fires which was sent at it. "Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!" The bird called in a childs voice as it fled. Silver stepped out of the bush and looked after with a scowl. "Stupid thing, hopefully it will not return," he commented to himself and first now noticed Yuki. He narrowed his eyes before a smirk spread on his face. "You again, have you taught your grass type to resist fire?" He asked mockingly and his cyndaquil jumped forward, lightening up its butt, ready to get revenge by burning up Oasis, "Get back here, Zubat could need some easy training," Silver said sternly and cyndaquil trotted back reluctantly. The redhead activated a pokeball and a purple bat appeared a moment later. Silver wants a battle, he sends out his zubat [lvl 8] Choose a pokemon(ooc: of course you can ^^)

Yuki jumped up in surprise from the horrible screeching voice, nearly giving him a heart attack. The sudden sound in the silence night caught him completely off guard. It came from above it? Who was tree climbing at this hour? And why above him?! The teen had half a mind to shout at the culprit, but they turn out to be a Pokemon. One he didn’t recognize. A bird with a black and weirdly shaped head. Nothing he recognize.
There were Pokemon that can mimic human speech? It fascinated him, so he kept listening to it. Doing so allowed him to recognize the voice it mimicked. The voice belonging to the red headed trainer from the other day. The very same he battled and defeated. Silver.
His eyes go wide and he starts searching for the trainer. Maybe the Pokémon is only capable of speech after hearing a recent voice? So Silver has to still be around! His intuition turned out to be correct as the small flame Pokemon came into view. ”Silver.” Yuki muttered as his Starly came back to his shoulder. ”You stole that Pokémon from Elm, didn’t you?” His Bulbasaur was thrown out and didn’t waste time using Leech seed and a tackle to fight Zubat. If Silver wanted a battle, he’ll give him one.

“Figures.” The red-headed trainer commented to himself as Yuki sent out his Bulbasaur. If this kid thought that he would get away with trouncing over Silver and his team with such a pathetic grass type, then this trainer would just have to show him why they were destined to become the best. Silver’s blue-and-purple bat fluttered up high into the air. It’s large, cone shaped ears twitched as the bat turned its head from side to side, listening out carefully for its opponent. It would call out, emitting powerful sounds to help with its echolocation, and occasionally fluttered closer as it sought Oasis out. “You’re gunna need more than that Bulbasaur of yours to beat me. Zubat, let’s give them a Supersonic. We’ve been practicing it all day, so you should know how to perform by now!” He commented. The dual poison-and-flying type screeched out in glee. Oasis’s bulb began to glow in the center as it pushed up a small brown seed to the top. She steadied herself and shot the seed out, which landed on the Zubat easily and wrapped itself tightly around the other Pokemon. The Zubat wailed loudly from the attack as the small, thin vines wrapped their tendrils around the flighty Pokemon and began to glow. A powerful, almost ear-splitting screech unleashed itself from the Zubat’s mouth. The supersonic waves would beat inside of Oasis’s skull, causing her to suffer from confusion. Was the bat here? There? On top of her, maybe? She waddled back and forth, shaking her head, and tried to steady herself. “Your poor, dumb plant is confused already. Look at her, waddlin’ about like she got into some tainted water.” Silver commented with a satisfied smirk. Then the kid began questioning Silver about how he obtained his Pokemon. Although Silver wasn’t born yesterday and was positive the kid was talking about his fire-breathing echidna, he would stall for a bit of time by pinning the conversation piece on his bat. “Zubat? Yeah sure, that’s what Professor Elm gives out to all the kids. A low level Zubat, ok.” Silver laughed and rolled his eyes with exaggerated hand gestures. “I caught him out in the field. Don’t bats usually like the night, or something like that? Zubat, Astonish.” He ordered. The froggy plant Pokemon raced off across the ground and chased after the bat, who flitted and fluttered, weaving in between the trees. Oasis climbed up onto a large tree that had fallen over in the forest and used it as leverage to jump up and ram herself into the bat Pokemon with a powerful Tackle. The Zubat stumbled a bit in the air and plummeted back towards the ground. It caught itself just seconds before landing and lifted itself back up before emitting a loud and startling sound that would astonish Oasis and cause her to jump backwards a bit and stumble over some scattered tree branches. “Why’da even ask such a dumb question, huh? Did’ya steal your Pokemon from the Professor?” He retorted. Silver Battle Weather: Temperate (Clear) / Night [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Zubat LV 8 HP 50% [13/26]

It was predicable for him to send out Oasis first. She was the strongest of all his Pokemon and had the best chance of fighting off Silver. The toughest challenge for them will be Cyndaquil, however. The two went head to head outside of New Bark for a single reason. It didn’t have any fire base moves. Given Silver’s attitude towards Pokemon and training, he must have trained his Pokemon to use a fire move. One that can defeat Oasis without stalling. The only real hope to beat him is to use leech seed to chip away at the fire mouse’s health. If he gets through the bat Pokemon.
”That isn’t what I meant.” Yuki narrowed his eyes at Silver’s behavior toward his accusation. ”Your Cyndaquil. Elm didn’t remember seeing or giving you one and I know he’s the only person at New Bark who has them.” He specified to power through Silver’s retort as the battle went on. He withdrew his grass type and took out the great ball. The one containing his Weedle. It was a weird decision, but it’ll save Oasis it health. ”Tackle!” He ordered the bug as it faces off with the bat.

Silver gritted his teeth and glared at Yuki through narrowed eyes. Who did this kid think he was…officer Jenny? He probably couldn’t solve a mystery if he watched the crime happen before his eyes! Yet here he was, accusing Silver of stealing his Pokemon? Silver’s hands balled up into fists though he kept them at his side and redirected his attention away from Yuki as he answered his rather pointed remark through bated breath. “I got Cyndaquil in the fairest way possible, ok? Why don’t ya focus on yer own Pokemon, kid?!” He snapped at Yuki, avoiding direct eye contact. Though ‘fair’ was a loaded question when Professor Elm was too busy to really notice who was coming in or out of his lab to begin with. Yuki withdrew his Pokemon and released a weak looking bug out onto the battlefield? This was going to be a walk in the park for Silver! “Zubat, another Astonish. Take this weak little Weedle out of the game.” Silver snapped. The blue bat chirped out its namesake in agreement as it fluttered up high into the air, disappearing between two thick branches in an Oak tree. It would flit in and out of the treetops, keeping a close eye on the other Pokemon as the Weedle took off through the tall grasses of the dark forest, causing the blue bat to give chase. The larval Pokemon squeezed underneath a small hole under an overturned tree, then jumped into a thick bush. Weedle crawled out of the bush, ducked around a couple of trees, and spun back around just as the Zubat fluttered closer to try and spot its opponent. Zubat unleashed cry out in a startling fashion after flying through the treetops, hidden, to sneak around behind the Weedle, causing the brown bug to stumble and fall over onto the ground. The Weedle shot out a long sticky string of buggy goo that would coat over and cover the other Pokemon, lowering its speed. The seeds that were imbedded into the Zubat’s furry hide glowed brightly, pulling a bit of health out of the dual flying-and-poison type Pokemon and sending it to Weedle to help heal him back to perfect health. The Weedle was managing its own so far, but Silver was more confident than he had been with the Bulbasaur facing off against his fluttery bat Pokemon. Yuki’s glare matched Silver’s as the rival trainer showed his anger. A reasonable reaction to a theft accusation. There wasn’t any clear evidence to say he did it or didn’t, so accusing him wasn’t fair. Or it appeared to be.
Yuki Hayakawa was a thief. He was one since childhood and throughout his years in Team Rocket. Dealings with other thieves allowed him to know how they all act in different situations. Silver wasn’t anything different. The boy was making effort to avoid eye contact and leaving details of Cyndaquil‘s origins a mystery. Caught red handed and he knows it. ”Your using fair pretty loosely. Did you not except to be caught despite that Professor being a scatter brain?”
”Weedle. Use your poison sting to shoot it down!” Needles of poison shot from the bug and flew for the bat aiming to take it down.

“Shows what you know.” Silver decided to turn the script around on Yuki. So this kid thought that he had pegged his mysterious red-headed rival down just that easily, did he? From what Silver could tell, the black-haired gent with striking purple locks in the front was going off of his intuition with no concrete evidence that Silver had committed any crime. Was there a wanted poster with Silver’s name plastered all over it and a picture of the poor ole’ Cyndaquil crying its cute little old eyes out anywhere? Not that Silver could see, and not that he did see while wondering down the routes and adventuring into new towns. “If you’ve got me all figured out, where’s the evidence? Huh?” He snapped back with a dramatic gesture of his hands. “Come on. Prove that the Cyndaquil isn’t rightfully mine. You can’t, can ya?”This battle with the Weedle was already taking longer than Silver liked. Such a low and pathetic little bug shouldn’t have wasted more than a hit of his fluttery bat’s time. Maybe this dark-haired rival managed to luck up and find the toughest Weedle on the entire route, and thought that he would get anywhere trying to raise it into…what? A powerful Beedrill? A good blast of fire would help put a bug back in its place. Or a strong bird to peck its brains out. Even a psychic or a rock type would take care of his Pokemon – whether it was a Weedle, a Kakuna, or a Beedrill. Yeah, there wasn’t a need in wasting his time on such a Pokemon. The only real protect it gained was against other Poison types thanks to the dual typing. Pathetic. “Zubat, are you seriously weaker than a lowly Weedle? Take it out already with an Astonish!” Silver snapped and pointed at the Weedle. The Weedle fired off a poison-tipped barb at the Zubat, taking just a tiny bit of damage from the flying blue bat as the barb hit the Pokemon in its chest. The Zubat stretched out its leathery wings with a powerful cry. “That doesn’t even hurt!” And fluttered closer and gave an astonishing loud cry that shocked the weedle as its eyes glowed an ominous bright red and red energy waves lashed out from either side of the flying bat to strike the Weedle. The seeds that were still imbedded underneath the Zubat’s skin glowed brightly, sending some health back to the small bug that took the place of Oasis. Was the Weedle really THIS strong?! How? Bugs aren’t supposed to be strong! Silver Battle Weather: Temperate (Clear) / Night [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Zubat LV 8 HP 27% [6/26]

Yuki brought his Weedle in after dealing good damage to Zubat. It should have been a simple process of finishing it after Bulbasaur dealt the brunt of the damage. But things were never so simple. The different in power was still very much present. Zubat a natural predator dominating a naturally worthless bug. It was ridiculous to think that Weedle can ever measure up to such a opponent. Yet, he stood firm and strong in the face of adversity. Despite his very timid and frightened nature. The leech seed helping him stay in the fight and chipping at Zubat’s health. Another hit or two and it’ll be down. If Weedle can last that long.
”Thats simple. I don’t. It’s simply plastered all over your face and body.” Again, he was a former Team Rocket member and experienced thief. He knows their mannerisms better than anyone. Silver displayed all of them up to eleven. ”Poison Sting!”

Typical. One weak Pokemon against another weak Pokemon in an ongoing struggle to see whose weakling had what it took to climb to the top of the heap. If you looked between the flighty blue bat and the nervous brown caterpillar you would have easily bet all of your chips on the bat. Although the bat was small with thin wings and a frail form, it had the advantage of being aerial in the battle. The small bug was a Pokemon that largely existed to bring sustenance to other Pokemon, or that’s the way Silver saw it. Fill the stomachs of Pidgey and Spearow – what other use could they have? The darked haired rival carried on as though he was the world’s best crime detective, which caused Silver to decisively ignore the lad’s words. He carried on about painting him as a criminal based off his attitude alone, which meant that he was carrying around a pretty hefty bluff. Let’s try to call the bluff and change the moment entirely. “Your bug’s going to need Nurse Joy when we’re finished here.” He noted before nodding to his flighty winged mammal. "Keep up with your Astonish. You’re winning, Zubat.” Though, if it was winning or losing it was hard to tell. The Astonish packed a powerful punch compared to Weedle’s poisonous barbs, but Oasis’ early rendition of leech seed was the real prize winner in this fight. The two Pokemon scuffled. The bat dived up and down in the air as it dived after the Weedle. The small brown bug dodged and dived in different directions, doing its best to try and avoid the scary avian predator. Zubat’s wings buffered the little insect a little, only because it was sensitive to nearly any movement at all, and the Weedly curled up into a ball to protect its most delicate parts. As it curled up the horn that adorned its head glowed brightly and poisonous barb shot out from the horn to pelt Zubat in various directions. The bat cried out and started shouting at its opponent, astonishing the little world. “Look at how small you are! Bet you’ll never become a Beedrill!” Silver Battle Weather: Temperate (Clear) / Night [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Zubat LV 8 HP 9% [2/26]
[attr="class","qkt-wild-imgbox"] [attr="class","qkt-pkmn-img"] [attr="class","qkt-trainer-pkmn"] Weedle LV 6 HP 42% [11/22]

Weedle didn’t want to keep fighting. Yuki can see it in the small guy, who looked ready to cower away. The small bug looked to be heavily effected by the words sprouted from Silver’s mouth. He did see himself as weak and pathetic. The mere sight of Yuki made him run for the nearest tree before getting captured. A battle wasn’t even required! It shouldn’t even be out here fighting against a bat! What was that purple haired, goggle wearing trainer thinking?!
”Weedle.” The soft yet commanding voice of Yuki made Weedle turn around to face the boy. He wasn’t mad or upset at the bug. Just a blank expression as the battle raged on. ”Do you want to be your pathetic self forever?” Weedle was taken aback by how blunt the question was. Even it’s trainer thought so little of him? But his answer to him was simple. No, he didn’t want to be like that. He wanted to be a strong Beedrill and not be afraid of a small pidgey anymore! Too not being at the bottom of the food chain! ”Poison sting.”
A small amount of resolve filled him as a series of poisonous needles flew for Zubat.
