Maxwell king » Word Count: OOC: Crimson uses Headbutt and Max throws a Pokeball at Aipom The headbanging that was occurring in Conifer Crest was eerily reminiscent to that which took place at music festivals, albeit the listeners of the tunes being produced had decided to pick up shop and leave the concert.
Among the inhabitants of the trees that were being shook to their core from Crimson's mind numbing headbutting was a pack of purple monkey pokemon. Unlike many of the residents of Conifers Crest, the monkeys were a bunch of playful tricksters who would often be found playing pranks on humans and pokemon that decided to travel through the area.
In a game of cat and mouse, the purple monkey pokemon had targeted Max's go-goggle wearing fire type lizard pokemon to pick on as they annoyed the living daylights out of Crimson. Crimson's patience dwindled with each time the monkey pokemon tapped his shoulder and then seemingly disappeared into the thick of the tree branches, visible only if the person was specifically looking for them amongst the rest of the scenery. Crimson swiftly fired a powerful flamethrower into the branches high above which in turned caused many of them to break off and plummet to the ground.
Like an superhero arriving to the scene of a crime, one of the purple monkey pokemon daringly jumped from above and landed in front of Crimson. The monkey-like pokemon propped his stubby purple arms into a boxing stance in preparation for a fight after targeting Crimson's pride with a verbal attack, the long tail pokemon showed no signs of backing down after demanding that Crimson try to best it in a fight.
"Char, Char, Charmeleon! (If a fight is what you want you little pest, a fight is what you'll get!)"
Max's team of pokemon as well as the man himself noticed Crimson lower his go-goggles over his eyes in preparation for combat, the undeniable leader of the pack was certainly not one to be messed with, especially when he was in as foul a mood as he currently was. The wild Aipom looked ready for battle and was simply awaiting for Crimson to make the first move as if to wait for the perfect moment to launch a counter attack, Max took note of the battle readiness that the purple monkey pokemon possessed, the young adult male thought to himself that it may be a valuable addition to his ever expanding team of pokemon,
"Alright Crimson, let's get right down to work, use Headbutt!"
Crimson's head was already numb from the absurd amount of thumping against trees it had done just recently, and now his trainer wanted him to use it in a battle, go figure. Max reached into his pocket and retrieved a half red, half white colored pokeball in preparation of capturing the wild Aipom when the time was right.

The wild purple monkey bounced around from one foot to the other. The Aipom didn’t like this smug lizard nor Crimson’s trainer. As soon as they showed up in the route, they began ramming their head into the trees and scaring off the wild inhabitants of the land. Why, this Aipom wanted to shut this smug Pokemon up for once and for all! The red lizard lowered his go-goggles and rushed off across the ground and rammed his head into the purple monkey’s chest. Crimson caused the purple monkey to soar backwards into the base of the tree, where it fell on the ground. “I admit...you’re pretty tough kid.” The purple Monkey wiped its forehead as it picked itself up off the ground. Then it turned around and began digging furiously in the ground with its paws. It kicked the sands up into the other Pokemon’s face, slamming the thick debris against Crimson’s snout and causing bits of dirt to fling into Crimson’s nostrils. Though the Go-goggles helped keep most of it out, the Aipom kept tossing the sands so vigorously that tiny particles would lodge between the glasses and Crimson’s fur ce – barely noticeable until you moved the wrong way so that they could fall more properly on the inside rims of the glasses. Every glass-wearer's worst nightmare, for sure! “Let’s see you attack what you can’t see, though!” It laughed hot-headedly! When the Pokeball flew at the Aipom, it would catch it with the paw on the end of its tail and break it, tossing the bits to the ground. Then the Aipom jumped on top of the red scaly lizard and began to scratch him up fiercely. Maxwell king » Word Count: OOC: Max throws a Pokeball at Aipom Max watched as Crimson charged at the wild purple monkey pokemon like an enraged bull charging at a matadors red cape. The lizard pokemon's headbutt attack was impactful as it sent the Aipom hurling backwards as it slammed into the base of the tree it had just fallen down from. Max noticed the purple monkey pokemon talking back at Crimson, if only the male young adult could understand the Pokemon language as he would love to overhear the conversation taking place between the two combating pokemon.
"Charmeleon, Char Char (That's not even half of my power, you don't have tickets to that show)"
The response from Aipom was a tactical one as it used its paws to furiously dig up the ground and then proceed to hurl the sands into Crimson's face. The fire type lizard pokemon's go-goggles had come in very handy as Crimson was able to keep the majority of the sand out of his eyes, however a few tiny particles were able to slip through the tiniest of gaps and lead to the lizard like pokemon experiencing a great deal of irritation as a result.
The purple monkey pokemon begun to laugh as if it had scored a major victory over its opponent, this elation was short lived however as the pokeball that Max had tossed become the next target that Aipom had to deal with. Aipom was swift in its movements and caught the red and white spherical device with the paw on the end of its tail before crushing it and letting the leftover bits fall to the ground. The purple monkey pokemon retaliated in kind by jumping on top of Crimson and fiercely scratching him up. Max was appreciative of how feisty the monkey pokemon was proving to be and prepared another pokeball to toss at the wild Aipom.
"Hold out Crimson, I got this boy"

"Oh really? And you want me to believe that? If that's only half then why are you holding back? Scared of what I would do when I learned about how weak you are?" The aipom teased after its attack when it had jumped to a save distance. It jumped from one foot to another and shot a quick glance up in the tree to where it's buddies was watching. It had a trick up its sleeve and it didn't fear Crimson due to that. "You're a tough guy, huh? What is it you fear? What are you hiding?" It mocked and waved both its arms and its tail like it was a boxer. Crimson did not go at it though, which made it hesitate confused. Why did the otherwise hotheaded sounding charmeleon, who surely wanted to show all the strength he possessed, not go at it after all the taunting. It glanced at Max and its eyes widened but it was too late, the pokeball was already in the air and it swiped its tail at it but missed. The pokeball hit its head... and continued without even opening. The aipom blinked and looked down at the malfunctioned pokeball at its side, and stomped on it hard to crush that one too. It wasn't going to take any chances. It put up its smirk again and after a short glance at Max locked its eyes on Crimson. "Time for you to see why you are going to lose!" It declared with a grin. It called its name out loudly and backflipped backwards, making some pirouettes and other fancy stuff, then landed on its tail and held out a hand to its side expectantly. Nothing happened, and its smile faltered. The monkey glanced backwards to the empty space behind it and certainly didn't like what it saw. Or not saw. It glanced at Max and Crimson before it turned to look up in the tree it had originally had come from, a few purple heads were still visible up there. "What are you doing?!" It hissed and glanced over its shoulder at its opponent, "why didn't one of you come and relieve me?!" It added frantically. No answer came from above although most one of the aipoms up there disappeared while another had a look of terror as it stared at Crimson. Maxwell king » Word Count: OOC: Max throws a Timer Ball at Aipom The verbal barbs that were being traded between Crimson and the wild Aipom were providing more action than the physical elements of the battle, neither of the two combatants showed any signs of respect for the other with the way that they were carrying on, that was a certainty.
"Char, Char Char, Charmeleon (You're damn lucky that Max won't let me finish you off monkey boy,)"
The wild Aipom was full of moxie and moving around the area to put on a show for the observants sitting high above in the trees. Another failed capture attempt from Max's latest pokeball toss had him questioning himself internally as to if the wild Aipom would actually cooperate as part of his team if he were eventually successful in capturing it.
Crimson's alpha male like nature was well and truly being put to the test as his trainer willed for him to refrain from finishing the purple monkey pokemon off with an attack. If he wasn't going to be allowed to win the physical side of things like he was very much going to assert his dominance in the mental aspect of warfare.
"Char, Char, Charmeleon (Those were some fancy moves monkey boy, what for though, you ended up no better off than when you started)"
Max retrieved a different colored capturing device than a regular pokeball this time around. The spherical shaped item was commonly known as a Timer Ball and had been developed by the Devon Corporation, it had been designed to increase the likelihood of capturing wild pokemon the longer a battle had gone on. With a smirk of quiet confidence on his face, Max eyed off the feisty Aipom and lined up the trajectory of his toss in aims of capturing the purple monkey pokemon.

Third time was, indeed, the charm. However, the wild purple primate wouldn’t let its bitter rivalry with the flame-tailed horned lizard end so easily. Instead, it easily hopped into a tree and leaped from branch to branch. Each time it would hop onto a new branch, the wild monkey would grip it securely with its paws and bounce up and down on the branch to shake it erratically. The branches bobbed and swayed so much that they would scatter their brightly colored leaves all about the open terrain. Many of them fell around the bright red lizard and if the Charmeleon wasn’t too careful, Crimson would risk starting a fire with his brightly burning tail. “Finish me off? Looks like you can’t even finish starting a bonfire there, fire-boy!” The Aipom chattered loudly on the top of its tongue. It would pop down behind Crimson and tap him on his shoulders. As the alpha lizard spun around to face off with the furry purple mammal, the Aipom simply swung back up into the treetops and hopped about from one tree branch to the next. It called out to Crimson, causing the lizard to chase after it and shoot large flames up not to singe the Pokemon, but to chase the wild monkey back towards his trainer. The Aipom cursed underneath his breath as he spun around in large circles within the canopies above, only to land back trapped between Maxwell and his flame-tailed lizard. “Where I started or where you started?!” The Aipom smirked, pointing a daring finger at Crimson. “I think…I think…you’re just bluffing around because you know you’re too weak to do much of anything!”The Timer Ball would fly through the air and tap the purple monkey on the top of its head. With a bright flash of red light, the Aipom was sucked inside of the strange white ball with bright orange stripes along its side and a strange orange ridge on the top of its dome. The ball rolled about and bounced on the ground as the Aipom struggled inside of the strange contraption. It shook several times, evident that the wild Pokemon did not want to be captured so easily. One… The ball rolled through a thick pile of fallen leaves and broken branches. Two… The ball bounced up and landed in some strange, brown slop that smelled something awful. Three… The ball hopped-skipped over to a small puddle, washing away most of the strange ‘slop’. Then, it dinged and stopped moving altogether, promising a successful capture. Caught? (59%) ZDMEMfEa1-100 SUCCESS!!
