"Let's go on a picnic!" she had said. "It will be fun!" she had said. How did I get roped into this? Robin sat perched on a tree branch with disgust, looking out over a swarm of babies as they frolicked about with each other in between bites of food. Trixie had laid out sandwiches, dumplings, and even a few Berry specialties for the gaggle of babies, and she offered one to Robin as she fought off the attempted hugs of a Cacnea and Skorupi. Just because I am her strongest and most reliable Pokemon. Robin spread his wings and turned his head to survey the rest of his newfound "flock." Eastwood the Pancham and Hook the Sandile were play-fighting, with one apparently mimicking a cowboy and the other a pirate. Vega the Cacnea had given up on hugs and was messily ingesting a whole Poffin into that black hole mouth of his. Slinky the Skorupi scuttled quietly down the edge of the picnic blanket, attempting to play a prank on the battling babies, no doubt. And last, Cotillion sat perched on Trixie's head. She was the one other Pokemon there who didn't require constant oversight. Well, good on her. She could take over babysitting duties for a while, then. Robin spread his wings, caught the air, and soared off, always making sure he could keep an eye on Trixie, but far enough that he could pretend not to hear her voice if she called on him to perform any "mother hen" duties. He didn't hate the babies, not truly. They were just a complete pain in the tail sometimes. [words=270] for Caramell 🍬 Please update the following to Trixie's PC: Slinky ♀ OT: Leilani Keoloha

Violet city was an expansive place with tall buildings shrouded by thick forests that swooped around its domain. The nearby routes were etched out near the sides of large mountains that hovered both nearby and, in the distance, and steep hills. Mishu clung near the edge of its borders, traveling with her Pokemon companions. Wanigara tunneled underground with a happy expression that was invisible to the land dwellers above. Life underneath the terrain was amazing, with so much dirt and clay that required the fastidious Pokemon to dig laboriously through. He loved it!
Suraimu would wonder around the picnicked area, collecting up the scattered rubbish and fallen debris. The bright green ‘blob’ - living slime and muck itself – would scoop up discarded wrappers and tossed half-eaten bits of food to stuff them down his gullet with glee. “Suraimu, don’t steal anyone’s lunch, ok?!” Mishu instructed, scratching the back of her neck as she watched her Pokemon disperse through the forested area.
Yōsei smirked and slipped up into an impress and tall apple tree. The pink imp gathered a couple of the round, red fruits and began chomping on them eagerly. The sounds of Eastwood and Hook’s play fighting caught his attention, where the short-limbed pink dark-and-fairy type peered carefully through the thick green foliage of the canopy above. Oh, look at these fools! He thought, wondering the best tactic to get them riled up without blowing his cover. I know!
Mishu’s eyes lit up when she caught a glimpse of the Pancham and casually approached Trixie and her team. She waved to them, careful not to wander too close without first receiving permission from the other trainer. “Hello! My name is Mishu. Mishu Mizuma.” She greeted Trixie rather formally and gestured towards her Pancham. “That’s a cute baby Pancham you’ve got on your hands! How old is he?”
Meanwhile, Yōsei leaped through the branches above from tree to tree, then crawled down a thick oak tree and disappeared behind a thick blueberry bush. He carefully bundled and tied fallen branches to create a disguise, then slipped back up to the playful companions hoping to scare Eastwood and Hook. “Look at the tasty Pokemon! Oh, how I’ve been so hungry for panda and crocodile meat!” He waved his arms, which were thick, makeshift branches. “Come closer so that I may feast on your flesh, my children!” Yōsei was bundled and covered in so many branches and leaves he looked like a living bramblebush come to life as he stalked close to the other Pokemon.

With his keen eyes, Robin had no trouble spotting the arboreal mischief-maker from his aerial position. He was, of course, ready to attack at a moment's notice, but upon closer inspection the little imp Pokemon was pink, a clearly inferior color to red, and therefore not worth his time. Instead he alighted on a tree some distance away to observe. It seemed that the Impidimp was plotting to... play a prank on those babies? Scare them good, he supposed. Definitely not worth his time; he had lived up to this point without being coddled by others, and it would do the baby Pokemon good to learn to fend for themselves. A character-building exercise, of sorts. With Trixie's attention being drawn toward her new guest, she didn't notice Yosei either. "Hi, Trixie Hayworth," she replied, instinctively extending a hand to shake. "What brings you over here?" About the panda Pokemon? She shook her head, knowing Mishu would be disappointed. "I honestly don't know. I picked him up at a Trainer Shop a while ago. Would you like to see him, though? Hey, Eastwood, come over here for a sec. ... Eastwood?" In the meantime the "bramblebush monster" had caught up to Hook and Eastwood, and given the Sandile a good fright. He leaped behind Eastwood, but the panda Pokemon only smacked him upside the head. <There's one of him and two of us! What are you so scared of?> he admonished. <Come on and pull yourself together. Doesn't look like any Pokemon I've ever seen, but my fists are as ready as ever! We can defeat him!> Eastwood assumed a boxing stance and waited for the "monster" to approach within striking range. Sufficiently chastised, Hook did the same, but being quadrupedal his "fighting stance" consisted of scowling and snapped his fangs together. "Hook! Eastwood! There you are... and what are you doing?" Trixie stared at the "monster" with skepticism. Was it... A Pokemon? Or something else entirely? [words=325] for Caramell 🍬ooc: Can you also fix my Skorupi's OT? It should be Aglaia Lund. Yōsei snickered as the small brown sand crocodile with its large dark-grey spots hopped skittishly behind the blackish panda with a large white head and white button tail. The panda reared back, spitting out words of comradery and bravery to try to alight the heart of the other Pokemon into a battle-like stance. The small pink imp closed his eyes as his face stretched in a wide grin, disguised, and hidden by thick downed oak limbs and a mess of ensnared poison ivy and grape vines.
“Fear me for I love to eat children such as yourself! I’m over 9000 levels higher than you and welcome a fight!” Yōsei would boast as he twitched his ears and rocked back and on his feet, causing the thick branches to sway back and forth. Large, bright green ferns with dark brown edges that bordered around them and would have spoke of a plant receiving too much direct sunlight if it were actually still attached to one, wrapped around the base of the pink Impidimp and stuck out at odd angles. As he swayed, some would shake loose and seemed to ‘droop’, forming a break between the barrier.
Immediately, the umber thirty-year-old crouched down and slipped beside a bush not too close to the gathered group. She would fish out her notepad and furiously flip the pages. The blue-haired dark type trainer would glance from the pad to the ‘tree monster’ and back repeatedly, whilst scribbling furiously away on her notebook. “Sandile is noted as having a more reserved and skittish nature, seeking refuge behind its familiar partner Pancham. The fighting type Pancham lives up to its typing, immediately ready to brave any battle no matter how improbable…” She muttered to herself.
Until…she noticed a familiar pink Pokemon through the break in the leaves. Could it really be…?? Ugh, not again! Mishu dropped her pad and shook her head as she cupped her hands around her mouth. “Yōsei. YŌSEI! What are you doing with all that mess tangled up around you?! Are you trapped under there?” She would walk up to Trixie while shaking her head and place both hands down on her sides with a sympathetic look. “I’m sorry about this confusion. That’s Yōsei. He’s an Impidimp. They feed off negative emotions, so he’s naturally always causing mischief.” She added a small ‘the more you know’ fact as she apologized. “Anyways…I’m a dark-type educator. While Pancham aren’t dark types themselves, when leveled up at a high enough level with a dark type on your team they can evolve into the dual fight-and-dark type Pangoro. Naturally, I was fascinated to meet such a wondrous creature.” She added her rather late explanation haphazardly into the mix for Trixie.

The clump of vines and twigs swayed back and forth as muffled sounds of "Imp" and "Dimp" emanated from it. Trixie still wasn't sure what to make of this "monster," but apparently even Eastwood was getting a bit nervous, as Hook clacked his teeth together, seeking reassurance from the stalwart panda Pokemon. <There's no such thing as level 9000...> the Pancham said, seemingly trying to convince himself as much as the Sandile. "Yōsei. YŌSEI!" Trixie's head whirled in the direction of the sound where she saw a woman calling out with her hands next to her mouth. "Who are you and what's a Yosei?" Trixie said. Of course! Her Pokedex should have the answer! She pulled it out and pointed it directly at the bush, and it pinged with a response. "Impidimp, the Wily Pokemon. It sneaks into people's homes, stealing things. Through its nose, it feasts on the negative energy produced by people and Pokémon when they feel annoyed." The woman walking up to Trixie also explained as much, and introduced herself as an educator. "You mean... like a teacher?" Trixie's experience with teachers hadn't been the greatest, but then again, she hadn't exactly had any teachers who were willing to understand Dark-types either. "And you focus on Dark-types? That's really cool! People are so mean about them sometimes." She gathered all her Pokemon together, paying special attention to Eastwood. "You're gonna be a Pangoro someday! How do you feel about that?" The panda Pokemon's response was to nod sagely. "Robin? Where are you? Get over here, we have company!" The red-feathered bird rolled his eyes and scoffed, before swooping down to land on one of the picnic sandwiches before tearing it apart with his talons. Trixie introduced each of her Pokemon in turn. "Do you have any other Pokemon besides the imp guy?" [words=308] for Caramell 🍬

The long, blue-haired educator scratched the back of her head as the teenager questions her. She smiled nervously for a second while she considered her response. Children were…well, sometimes better to work with than adults, and sometimes worse. They didn’t seem to have nearly as much of the world ‘figured out’, and so they were much more susceptible to listening and learning from knowledgeable sources. Though, some were also often mimics of the adults in their lives, parroting what their parents told them no matter how right or wrong the information given to them was. But this was part of the role she chose to accept, by wanting to spread awareness and knowledge wherever she wondered. “I named him Yōsei because he is such a wily and mischievous fairy. Impidimp’s line are the only Pokemon known to be both fairy and dark. Due to their fairy typing, Impidimp are immune to dragons. Likewise, while most dark types are weaker to fighting types, Impidimp are neither weaker to, nor stronger against, fighting types. They also resist dark-type moves much better than other fellow dark-type Pokemon.”
The teenager fished out a small, electronic device that read a similar script about Yōsei with the click of a button. The nervous smile softened on Mishu’s face, and she straightened herself back up. Though, she would need to work with her wily pink Pokemon more, it was nice to see that this wouldn’t necessarily turn ugly for either trainer. Having her wily Impidimp pick battles that Mishu knew nothing about – and thus was completely unprepared for – was the last thing that the aspiring scientist needed. “Please excuse me while I go handle my Pokemon, Trixie…” Mishu would immediately march over to Yōsei, scolding him and causing the Pokemon to drop the branches in his hands. She helped free him from the refuge that entangled him, slowly pulling the vines away from his body and cleaning the excessive foliage off of his pink hide, then walked back over to Trixie.
“I had you babies fooled good! Look at how badly your friend is shaking…ooohh, you both really believed I was a baby eating monster!” Yosei gleamed, jumping from foot to foot. Even though his disguise had been plucked away and left him exposed to the two young Pokemon, the wily sprite didn’t seem to let it affect him. He fanned his large, pointed ears and smiled so brightly that his eyes closed with the expression. “Are you Pokemon, or are you Pokechow?! Only your friend here stayed brave!” Yosei laughed, sticking his tongue out and shaking his head dramatically from side to side at the Pancham and Sandile.
“Again, I want to apologize for Yōsei’s. behavior. Some things are hard to break because they’re so ingrained in the Pokemon’s natural instincts.” The blue-haired educator spoke up to Trixie, though she admired the bright red bird that the young girl had called over. She had never seen anything like it before! It looked suspiciously like a Pidgeotto – a Kanto native that was pretty commonly known about – but completely different in many respects, as well. Mishu tilted her head, mummering a response just loud enough to still keep the conversation going with Trixie.
“Oh…oh, yes! Something like a teacher…Yes, I suppose you could say that! I’m opening the Mizuma Education Center soon, though the construction workers are currently building it. It’s a place where you can catch many types of Pokemon – hopefully even Houndour, as we’ll be including prey Pokemon that they’re known to occasionally hunt down. But mostly, it’s a center for learning – where you can study about Pokemon, especially dark-type Pokemon, and take quizzes. And sometimes, prizes will be offered to those who ace the tests.” She then waved a hand towards Robin and asked curiously, “I’ve never seen such a beautiful specimen as this Pokemon before…is he a Pidgeotto?” As Mishu questioned Trixie about her bright red bird, a small red bushy-tailed fox slipped up nervously behind her. Kotaro wrapped his tail around his trainer's legs and tried to hide carefully behind her larger form.

Trixie was taking mental notes as Mishu explained the ins and outs of her Impidimp. "Dark and Fairy, huh..." She hadn't heard of such a type combination before. Would she want one for herself? Did her like of Dark override her disgust for Fairy? She supposed she would have to catch one for the Pokedex sooner or later. As Mishu lifted her Pokemon out from the brushes, Trixie could verify for herself what it looked like: a gangly, pink, ugly humanoid with dark crescent markings and a large mouth. Perhaps it was ugly cute in a way. She could go for that. Knowing that it was neutral to Fighting-type led her to recall Hook and Eastwood to her side. "Maybe don't go picking a fight right now," she said, the Pancham shooting the imp one last dirty look before returning to his trainer's side. "Apology accepted, Mishu. No one got hurt, did they? When I catch one for myself, I'll have to be on the lookout for its pranks. Poffin?" She stopped Vega from reaching into the basket - was this his third poffin? - and offered one to Mishu, and even Yosei if he wanted it. The rest of the babies were settled in with sandwiches of their own. Cotillion had fallen asleep and was softly snoring on Trixie's head, and she gently lifted the bird off and set her down at a corner of the blanket. Studying and quizzes did not sound like fun to Trixie at all, but she wasn't about to insult her new guest. Her ears perked up at the mention of Houndour, however. "Man, I'd love to catch a Houndour one day. Maybe I'll have to pay you a visit!" She could even endure quizzes if it meant finally getting her hands on one of the coolest dog Pokemon ever. And there were prizes for the quizzes, too? Even better. Robin fluffed up his feathers at the mention of being called "beautiful," spreading his wings and turning his head from side to side, allowing Mishu to get a look at all his good angles. Trixie laughed nervously as she observed her Pokemon's behavior. "Yeah, Robin is a Pidgeotto... kind of a special one," she said. "I don't know where he came from, but I got him at the Adoption Center after some other trainer left him behind. He's really proud of his feathers, as you can tell." She was proud of them too, but more proud of the bird himself for sweeping Falkner's gym battle with hardly a sweat. [words=423] Caramell 🍬

The blue-haired trainer nodded her head as she turned her attention to her small humanoid Pokemon. Yōsei turned his face up towards his trainer and tilted his head, placing one of his long fingers against the side of his mouth. He pressed on his face gently, creating a small indentation near his cheeks, and tried to look up towards Mishu innocently enough, though it wasn’t working too well for him. “Yep. Thanks to his dual-typing, Yōsei is immune to dragon type attacks as well as psychic type attacks.” She commented, bending down to stare deeply into her Pokemon’s eyes. There wasn’t a shred of remorse to be found staring back at her, though. She sighed, standing back up, and accepted the poffin easily enough.
“Thanks. I honestly…doubt Yōsei will ever learn how unwarranted his trickery is for his team mates.” Mishu stated with a firm shake of her head. How could she expect him to truly understand, when he fed off of their negative emotions? Sure, Pokechow and the like would suffice enough to satiate his hunger to some level, but it probably wasn’t nowhere near what he truly craved and wanted to eat. Was it her place to completely change the etymology of her Pokemon? She sighed, passing the poffin to her pink imp, who took it and gobbled it down in one bite. “Your human sure can cook! What five star restaurant did you steal her from, huh?!” Yōsei giggled, spinning around to the baby Pokemon he had just recently picked on as though he could move right on along without so much as an apology one way or the other.
The earth began to shift and move. Small claws dug their way up from underneath the ground, shifting bits of dirt and debris in several directions – namely all over Mishu’s shoes and anything else left on the ground and within range. A two small brown feet shot up from the hole that formed underneath the ground, with long, sharp black claws on their three toes. Soon, a small brown head with a large black mask over its face and a small greyish-black stripe on its snout popped up above ground from within the hole. It was a spitting image to Trixie’s Hook. He blinked, smiling brightly, and jumped up to snag a Poffin from Trixie’s hand. If successful, the small sand crocodile would immediately dive back into his hole and dig underneath the ground to disappear like a bandit. “Aand that’s…uhh, Wanigara.” Mishu laughed, unsure whether she should apologize immediately or not. Guess everyone was rather hungry, huh?
Mishu pulled her bag off of her back and began pulling out her Pokemon food – bits of natural and organic blends in different containers, that she would measure out individually as she prepared their meals. Her eyes shifted casually to the bright red bird as he seemed to preen himself and try to show off his best features. “Ok guys, its chow time! Clearly, we’re all hungry right now, right?!” Her large black bird swooped down and landed on Mishu’s shoulders, fanning her wings out as she cawed loudly and eagerly, hopeful to be fed. The bushy-tailed red-and-black fox would lurk up behind Mishu’s legs and poke his head around her, timidly looking out towards Trixie and her team, before disappearing back behind his trainer. “It’s ok, Kotaro. You’re safe here. You’re hungry, aren’t you?” She asked, as she prepared his food for him.
“Houndour make great companions, once they warm up to you.” Mishu carried on her conversation with Trixie as she hummed thoughtfully to herself. “But they’re definitely not for the novice trainer. They are natural pack animals, and sometimes require someone to demonstrate that they’re the ‘leader’ of the pack to raise them properly.” She continued as she passed out everyone’s meals and placed them before her Pokemon. It was true that some trainers that were ill-prepared to own a Houndour had wound up hurt by their own Pokemon in the past, though Trixie seemed to have a good handle on her own Pokemon from what Mishu could tell.

Trixie knew about Fairy-types. All about them... their strengths and weaknesses, and how insufferable they were, too. Mishu's comments about her own Pokemon being difficult toward his teammates did not make her take heart. If even someone as apparently experienced as this woman couldn't make him behave, what hope was there for her? Her parents probably thought the same about her, come to think of it. She was one for misbehaving, just like the Dark-types they stereotyped as all no good. What do they know. It's really fairies who are the tricky ones. You can just see their devious intentions behind their sugary pink exterior. The imp Pokemon said something; was he paying her a compliment? He sure seemed to like the poffin, seeing as he devoured it in one bite. Something popped up from underneath the earth. Trixie could tell immediately it was not Hook. "Hi, uh, Wanigara?" No sooner had she greeted the Sandile than he grabbed a poffin from her hand and dove back under the earth. "He's kind of shy, isn't he?" she asked Mishu. "Are all Sandile like that? What should I expect from them when they grow up?" She looked back over toward her babies, and saw Hook and Slinky having a go at each other, jaws against pincers. The brown crocodile Pokemon seemed to have recovered from his fright, now that the "ferocious bush monster" was occupied elsewhere. A black bird Pokemon swooped down and a red fox Pokemon shyly peeked around Mishu's side. "Wow, you really do have a ton of Dark-types!" Trixie said with delight. "What kind of Pokemon are they? Where did they come fr--" She interrupted herself to let Mishu describe the process of raising Houndour to her. "Leader of the pack, huh... I'll just have to show 'em who's boss then." She grinned and clenched a fist. "Right, Robin?" The red-feathered Pidgeotto sighed. For all the girl was a mess, he supposed he had some good things to say about her. <Her fashion sense is utterly abominable, but she can command a battle well enough. I suppose it counts for something.> [words=353] Caramell 🍬

The small pink Pokemon with large, pointed ears rested his rear end on the ground as he munched away on the poffin. Whether it was thanks to food being passed out, or his mischievous nature nudging the other Pokemon away from him, Yosei seemed left to his own devices. He searched about for the partner he had spoken up to, but it would seem as though none pushed themselves forward. He snorted loudly, pushing a thick pocket of air through his large, upturned nose, and focused back on the food. They just don’t have a sense of humor. They’re all so…typical. Bleh! Yosei resigned quietly to himself.
Mishu turned to her small sand crocodile and nodded thoughtfully. Even when she had him out, sometimes she wouldn’t know where he was. The dual dark-and-ground type loved digging deep into the earth as though he were swimming underneath them. She wondered if ‘shy’ was a suiting way to describe them and agreed with Trixie’s astute observations. “Most Sandiles tend to be, yes. Though, their nature to live underground serves several purposes. The naturally hot sands where they come from prevents their bodies from becoming too cold. It also protects them from predators that might hunt them, and allows them to ambush prey by snapping down on their legs when they step on top of them.” She noted as her eyes followed the upturned ground that showed where Wanigara was tunneling away.
Mishu considered the girl’s question thoughtfully. “Well, as your Sandile grows and gets stronger, he should eventually evolve into Krokorot. They typically live in small matriarchal groups where a female will lead the group while the males mostly gather food. I would imagine a female would be bit more strong-willed, thanks to that, but a male would be more docile, naturally. Then, with more training, your Sandile should evolve again into Krookodile. They’re known as very violent Pokemon because of their tenacity to never let prey escape. They also have amazing eyesights and can see prey more than 30 miles away. If not properly socialized, they become terribly aggressive and some have even turned on their trainers.” Mishu warned as she gave another glance over to Trixie's Hook playing cheerfully with his panda companion.
Kotaro fluffed up his thick, bushy tail as he carefully crawled around Mishu’s legs and settled in front of his food. His wide, amber eyes searched around nervously for any signs of danger as he began munching away on his food. He noticed a noticeably red bird with black markings on his wings. He commented on his trainer pretty dismissively in the fox’s opinion, and he wondered why. “Mishu pushes us so that we can grow and she can bring the best out of us.” He commented to Robin with a sluggish smile. “I uh…really wish she wouldn’t…I never ask to battle, normally.” He shrugged, munching away on his food.

Trixie nodded thoughtfully at Mishu's explanation. "Well, I'm a girl... so hopefully Hook will listen to me through his Krokorok phase..." Sure enough, the Sandile was getting plenty of socialization, having moved on to Vega, who was swinging his arms at the Sandile playfully. "Thanks for giving me the heads-up. I'll make sure he learns lots of discipline before he fully grows up." Of course, that was easier said than done. She still hadn't trained Robin out of all of his aggressive tendencies, remembering that awful encounter with the red-haired boy... Shiver? Sliver? Was it? If anything, he had found a new fixation to channel his energy into, that being his determination to show off his red feathers every chance he got. Robin looked disdainfully down at the russet-furred fox. How... unsettling the creature was! So close to red, and yet not red all the same. Mishu pushed them to be their best? Well Robin would hope Trixie pushed him to be the best. "Do you not glory in the heat of battle?" he asked Kotaro. "Are you a coward?" There were stronger Pokemon and weaker Pokemon, but the notion that any Pokemon, especially one with a competent trainer, was content to be weak? Robin did not understand it at all. He would seek to know more. Perhaps this woeful fox could be inspired by his example, even, and grow up into a semi-glorious not-quite-red Pokemon! "Robin, are you making a friend?" Trixie seemed delighted by the turn of events. It had been so hard to get the egotistical bird to even get along with his own teammates, much less anyone else. "That's an unusual Pokemon, Mishu... I don't believe I've ever seen it before," she said. "What made you decide to become an educator, anyway?" In the meantime, Slinky had gotten bored after being chased away from attempting to pinch Trixie's behind by one annoyingly straight-laced panda. She was up for a spot of fun. The little pink imp was sitting somewhat away from the others, and intently focused on his own food. So much so that he might not even notice a scorpion Pokemon scuttling along the ground, appearing to mind her own business, but in fact poised to launch a pricking sting right at one of the Impidimp's big ears. The blue-haired trainer smiled as she listened to Trixie explain how she hoped to raise and train her Sandile. Somethings came with time, while others came with practice. The aspiring scientist understood that the trek laid out in front of Trixie may not be the easiest of paths, but there seemed to be something about this young lady. A spark, perhaps? Sheer determination and will that was buried deep inside? Mishu couldn’t put her finger on it. “I’m sure you’ll do just fine.” She nodded and turned to study how the Sandile played with the prickly cactus Pokemon. Had she never noticed this one before? Odd. “Tell me…how has raising your Cacnea been for you?” She knew that they were often found in harsh environments and many Cacnea would go out of their way to find the sunniest spots to bask in.
Kotaro pressed closer to Mishu’s side. He seemed to slink behind his trainer’s legs as though he were disguising himself behind her. A small, thin snout prodded around the edge of Mishu’s leg as his black button nose sniffed cautiously in the air. “What glory is there in beating others up?” He whimpered nervously. He didn’t like this red feathered Pokemon. Something about the bird struck him as…violent. Definitely violent. For a split second, Kotaro flashed back to the battle he had against the ‘monsters’ on Route 29, and a shiver crawled down his spine. “I’m not a coward!” He growled, pressing more of his head around Mishu’s legs, though keeping most of himself concealed. His ears pressed against the side of his head as he narrowed his eyes down on the bird. “I’m just not dumb. I like to preserve my life. You never know when you’ll run into something…stronger…than you.” He snapped. Though, his teammates had done wonders at helping him in his previous fights thanks to his ‘signature’ move.
A large, black bird soared overhead and landed on a nearby tree. The crow concerned herself with preening her feathers first, though her eyes seemed fixated on Robin and Kotaro. “You alright?” She cawed loudly, flapping her wings at her sides while clinging onto the branch in front of her. Karasu would keep a close eye on this strange red bird now. She had already bonded with most of Mishu’s Pokemon on her team and had adopted them all as part of her flock. The Darkness Pokemon intense gaze would not be moved except to scan any nearby movement and ensure that it, too, would not harm her friends. “I’m…fine…Karasu! We’re just talking!” Kotaro called out, then muttered under his breath, “I think.”
“Oh, Kotaro?” Mishu gestured to her red fox as she considered Trixie’s question thoughtfully. She questioned that herself, at least for a brief instance. Part of it was her yearning to learn as much as she could about Dark Type Pokemon in this world. Part of it was to help illuminate the truth of the wonderful Dark Type Pokemon to others. But…did that really explain why she took on the educator role? “He’s a Nickit. They’re actually pretty common where I’m from – Galar. Well…I obtained him after my old companion – a Galarian Zigzagoon – had battled him. We actually rescued the Zigzagoon from some punk kids that were beating it up when I was younger, but it would never go back to the wild.” She shrugged as the corners of her eyes grew wet. She reached up and rubbed them and turned back to her Pokemon.
“I suppose I just want to set the record straight.” She explained, returning to Trixie’s question. “My parents were scientists before they passed, and I guess they sort of inspired me. That, and my own natural love for Dark Type Pokemon.” Mishu returned her smile back to her face and finally answered the other girl’s question after much thought and consideration. Though, she didn’t know much about her parents. She only knew the brief memories she held when she was very young, and they would spend a few hours on special holidays at home with her.

Trixie nodded and smiled, as she appreciated the reassurance from Mishu. When the subject turned to her Cacnea, she put a finger to her temple in thought. "He's... actually pretty chill?" she said. "Like you said, he seems to just want to sit in the sun all day, which makes it easy to keep an eye on him. I'm not sure about getting him actual training though, if he's so lazy. He also likes flexing?" As if on cue, Vega would sit up from his relaxed position, point his arms at Mishu, and then bend them at right angles. He had a big grin on his face and seemed very proud of himself. Not as proud as Robin, though, as he looked with disdain at the small fox. <Something stronger than me?> It was perhaps the first time he had even conceived of such a thing. <Bah! That'll be my trainer's problem, then, for not being able to showcase my beauty and might to the fullest!> For Robin did not simply beat up other Pokemon. He did so with grace, with passion, to make it a battle worthy to behold! In fact, simply pounding on those weaker than him was beneath him, and a waste of time. He would remind Trixie of that the next time she sent him out against a lowly bug. Apparently Mishu was from Galar. A long way away, surely... was she homesick? She then mentioned her parents had passed away. "I'm sorry to hear," Trixie said. "But I'm sure they would have been proud of you." It made her feel a little bittersweet herself, thinking of her own parents, and how what they wanted for her was so very different than what she had wanted for herself. When was the last time she ever wrote home? At least to Avalina. She would have actually cared what Trixie had to say. With the last of the poffins and sandwiches consumed, Trixie packed up her basket and blanket and started to turn for home (but not before sparing Mishu a few napkins to wipe her eyes). "It was good meeting you!" she said. "And maybe I'll have to come check out this Education Center place!" [words=368] Caramell 🍬 thread finished! You can lock and archive it now.
