So what with this post-game challenge now becoming a recurring feature since the days of Emerald what are people's opinions on it? I'm a bit ambivalent towards the Battle Frontier as a whole. My experiences draw heavily from my time trying to win the different arenas and coming this close to victory but getting screwed up in the end to the seemingly cheating AI (Sheer Cold hitting all the time? F*** you!). So despite the horribly cheating AI I think it's a welcome aspect as it's something for the player to do after beating the main quest.
My favourite Battle Frontier definitely has to be the Battle Arcade one. It's all luck of the draw, baby!

Oh yes, I adore the Battle Arcade! The theme in Platinum was divine, I added it to my iPod I loved it so much.
I like the whole luck factor, but my other favourite was the Palace, or whatever one you took a single Pokemon into and had to battle different types. It provided a refreshingly hard challenge all the way up to the Brain, who almost handed me my rear on a silver platter. xD Thank god for critical hits - at least that time.

Oh yes, I adore the Battle Arcade! The theme in Platinum was divine, I added it to my iPod I loved it so much. You know it! I think I did the same thing. But it's not all that rare I download songs from video games at a drop of the hat. *decides to hunt youtube for a possible remix* I like the whole luck factor, but my other favourite was the Palace, or whatever one you took a single Pokemon into and had to battle different types. It provided a refreshingly hard challenge all the way up to the Brain, who almost handed me my rear on a silver platter. xD Thank god for critical hits - at least that time. I think I know the place you're speaking of. Was it Battle Hall or something? Still, i've noticed that no matter how pathetic the AI is, a carefully Tricked Choice Scarf can pretty much ruin their attempts to punish you. It just extends the duration of play that little bit longer.

I've done the Battle Frontier just the other day. I first tried the Battle Factory and realized I had great potential for picking out the worst Pokemon and getting killed in the first round. I gave up on that and went for the Battle Arcade.
I think the Battle Factory is more about luck than the Battle Factory. The Arcade has that game board, yeah, but it is so easy to see the pattern and rate which it goes at. I always make sure I have things go my way, so I find it very easy. I even managed to beat Dahlia then, too! My first brain down! And go figure... it was Edgey who took down all of Dahlia's Pokemon. I have the battle recorded, but lazy because I haven't uploaded it yet. XD

Hm, i've not really looked into the Battle Recorder but is it possible to send it to people on your friend list? It always seemed like something a bit too boring to look into every time I tried to work it out. Still, if there is one thing I dislike about the whole BF business is the Battle Points(?) you are rewarded with and the expensiveness of some of the items. Why the hell would anyone pay 32BP or whatever it is for Brick Break when it's purchasable in Celadon Dept. Store for a couple of thousand? Also; screw Battle Tower. I just came across a Guillotining Kingler that must have been Choice Scarfed. Thank whatever bloody deity that exists out there for the fact I had Gengar up first.

Hm, i've not really looked into the Battle Recorder but is it possible to send it to people on your friend list? It always seemed like something a bit too boring to look into every time I tried to work it out. It is easy, actually. After a battle with someone or in the Battle Frontier, you're asked if you want to save a video or not. If you choose yes, to upload the video, you go to the World Terminal (the GTS) and choose the pink warp tile. Interact with the big, pink computer and connect online. Then you choose the option that says "SEND BATTLE VIDEO" The video saved on your personal profile is then uploaded and given a number like this... 59-62184-07563 See that number? It is my fight against Dahlia! On the same screen, above the send video option is one that say "VIEW BATTLE VIDEOS" Click, then choose the option that says "SEARCH BY VIDEO NO." and insert the number I gave you! It'll bring up my recording of the fight and you can save it onto your Battle Recorder to watch whenever you want! It is kinda fun to watch how your friends did! And these people don't even have to be on your friend list!

I have to say the Battle Factory is my favorite. P: I have a knack for picking some half way decent pokemon, or maybe its just more luck! I like most of them, except for the battle hall. One choice scarfed sweeper tears the house down.

I love the battle hall and arcade. I cannot stand the castle one though. I am terrible at it.
