The uphill battle felt more like an impossible mountain that they had to crawl up with no gear. Zaiden bit his lower lip harshly with his teeth, cracking it and causing it to bruise slightly. He winced from the pain as the fresh wound throbbed. What was he going to do to help little Takibi? It was evident that his Magby wasn't fully suited for this kind of battle. Yet, here she was, doing her best thanks to Zaiden's ill-prepared ways. He pulled out his last Potion and gulped as he sprayed her down and crossed his fingers. Feeling rejuvenated from the medicine, Takibi would fire yet another powerful blast of fire.

Zaiden's pulse pounded against the inner walls of his veins. He felt his blood draining as he watched the Butterfly zip around and throw its poisonous spores all about. Takibi cried out in pain as she nearly toppled over, but not before spitting large flames that would manage to take the Butterfree out. Zaiden smiled, grateful that his Pokemon managed through the fight. Then, he quickly pulled out some medicines and sprayed the small Magby down to heal her. Let's hope we find something a little easier... He sighed as he thought to himself. Then, he pulled on his fire salamander's arm gently and led her deeper into the grass.
Ooc: Using Antidote & Super Potion. Takibi will learn Flame Wheel and forget Ember.

Zaiden’s eyes lit up with excitement as he watched the small grub crawl out from the thick grass. He hadn’t seen such a unique bug Pokemon before, and it was definitely a welcomed change from the millions of butterflies that they seemed to keep running into. As Takibi sucked in a deep breath of air and prepared to blast her new opponent, Zaiden snapped his fingers and shook his head at his Pokemon. He couldn’t risk this Pokemon escaping and had hoped that he would get a good shot with a well-placed Park Basll. Zaiden would toss it at the Pokemon while crossing his fingers and praying to Arceus that he was successful.

The flashy looking grub was definitely an easy target for tossing things at. Though, once inside the supplied contest device it was clear this was a fighter. The ball rapped back and forth harshly. Even managed to rollover at least once with Grubbin's rattlings. After a few it came springing out pincers spewing a flurry of mud. Moves: Mud-Slap, Vise Grip, String Shot, Bug Bite

Zaiden’s fist clenched at his sides as he watched the Pokemon escape from the Park Ball. He knew that he shouldn’t really be so surprised, given the fact that the Park Balls weren’t a guarantee to begin with and that the Grubbin was at full health. But Takibi had grown up so much between the last fights where she was struggling to remain at the top, that Zaiden had to wonder if it was worth it to risk burning this small grub before throwing a Park Ball or not. Plus, he believed that his score might be better with a full health grubbing, though he rarely paid attention to the technical parts of the contest. After much deliberation, Zaiden pull out another Park Ball and tossed it with the click of a button.
OOC: Using another Park Ball.

Zaiden pulled out the first Park Ball that had the small yellow fly in it and stared at it for a second. He knew that he had to choose only one of them to keep and release the other one. He also knew that he didn’t really have that long to choose. After a good moment deliberating on the thought, Zaiden would click the ball on the Cutiefly and set her free, allowing the insect to fly off into the thicket of the tall green grasses. Then, Zaiden gestured towards his small red Pokemon to follow him as he led her back into the fray and they searched for yet another wild bug Pokemon.
OOC: Bring on #5! Keeping Grubbin and releasing Cutiefly.

Their final encounter was a well known face to Zaiden. As he watched the furry purple insect crawl out from the thicket of wild grasses, the young trainer smiled to himself. Though the insect probably had some strong moves up its…antenna… Zaiden was confident that they should be able to handle it just fine unless they were just extremely unlucky. He whistled, catching Takibi’s attention, and signaled with his hands for her to use her newfound Flame Wheel attack by spinning his hands in the air and shaking them like they were burning up. The small fire salamander nodded her head and began to channel long flames of fire that she used to cloak herself inside of. Then, she kicked her feet off the ground and began spiraling in a rolling ball towards her opponent.
OOC: Using Flame Wheel x2.

The young teenager smiled as he watched his fire Salamandar easily handle his opponents. It was a surreal feeling to see Takibi easily burn away the last of the bugs that he had managed to scrounge up in the contest. It was something else entirely to realize that his small, weak baby Pokemon had come such a long way in experience in such a short amount of time. She stood there, spouting large flames from the tip of her tongue as she clapped her hands together excitedly. It was no doubt that Takibi was just as happy and ecstatic to win the fight as Zaiden was.
OOC: Takibi forgets Clear Smog and learns Confuse Ray. Locking this thread officially for us. =D
