MOD NOTE: PIKIPEK ONLY IN THIS THREAD FOR EXP! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
The small beaver worked busily as it chewed on the logs and began to whittle the small chunks of fibrous wood away. It’s tiny paws scratched and clawed at the long pieces of bark, twisting and folding them so that it could twirl them together and craft its den into the spectacular wonder that it had envisioned inside of its head. When the beaver spoke to the wanderers who had approached its home, too busy to turn its head around and see who they were, Zaiden stared in awe at how focused the small mammalian Pokemon was with its work of art. It was quite breathtaking to see the Pokemon living its normal daily life, not quite caught in the spectacle of a battle nor attacking anything that moved nearby.
Zaiden had to question himself as he reached for one of his spare balls. Would he truly take this tiny beaver away from its home and possibly all the loved ones that might live nearby? Is that what trainers like himself did with the Pokemon that they caught? Though, a flash of memories flooded his brain and caused the teenager to kneel down in the tall grasses and immediately cover his face. He sobbed, loud tearful sounds that emanated from deeper inside of his mind, as memories of him battling alongside Shiwa flooded his brain. She’d been so sure and so desperate to return to the wild. Why? Had he only robbed her of her time from her friends and family?
He’d offered her the Pokeball originally and allowed Shiwa to choose to join him. He even helped her become stronger and eventually evolve into the spectacular Dustox she’d become. And now…stuck in this moment…he couldn’t help but to pour his emotions out of his chest over the last moments he’d spent with her. Where was she now? Out somewhere within the vast wilderness of Route 29 alongside the other Wurmple and her old Colony Leader Beautifly. What was she up to most days? His heart twisted inside of his chest, and he found himself choking back his words as he tried stop his own tears from spilling out of his eyes. It hurt! It hurt so bad to reflect on the memory of a lost loved one. Even if he knew that Shiwa was at least still alive and well somewhere out there in the wilds, the pain that soaked up and spilled the memories in his mind would not go away.
Feebly, the beige teenager shook his head and picked a Pokeball at random. It rolled from his hands where he’d only loosely tried to cling onto it. The ball bounced and bobbed across the lumpy ground through thick wild grasses and gently smacked the side of a small boulder jutting out over the tall grasses. A skittish blue lizard with soaking wet skin appeared in an instance and immediately skittered over to the water’s edge with wide eyes in alarm. When he noticed the beaver fast at work on its dam, Yarite relaxed and swam close but not too close to the other Pokemon. “That’s pretty impressive!” He praised the other Pokemon for its work.
Then, the Sobble would try to scale the side of the dam to help the beaver. Although the beaver spoke up, “hey, stop it!” Yarite would only jump in the water for a moment, then crawl back onto the dam when he realized that the Bidoof wasn’t attacking him. Oblivious, he assumed that the Bidoof just didn’t know how to ask for help and Yarite felt that this was a better way for him to feel useful besides simply ‘battling’ the other Pokemon. Yarite pounded the dam with his tail and wouldn’t even notice the Bidoof marching its way angrily over to him. He would swing his tail down on another spot on the beaver’s dam, accidentally swinging directly at the Bidoof itself.
Maybe…there was more to being a trainer than just catching Pokemon, though? Zaiden regained his emotions and stood up as he pulled an empty red-and-white Pokeball free. Would Shiwa be strong enough to help defend its family without Zaiden’s help? He had to hope that despite the pain that wrenched his heart into tight knots, it was all worth it in the end. Perhaps, this Bidoof would benefit from his help one way or another, too? He placed the Pokeball at the edge of the dam and gestured towards it with a loud whistle. “Want to become better?” Zaiden nervously asked the wild Pokemon.
OOC: Sending out Yarite who uses Pound! Then using a Pokeball. Self-Updating will have 5 left! If battle ends I'd like to use Mod Bar on Pikipek!

Both Yarite and the bidoof acted like the fog wasn't even there as they exchanged a slap and a tackle, the beaver paused to look thoughtful at Zaiden, and then seemed to accept the offer as it stayed in the pokeball thrown at it. A thick white blanket covered the face of the earth as water droplets hung suspended in air. It created an eerie and otherworldly atmosphere. The beige teenager blinked as he watched the silhouette of the Pokeball fall to the grassy ground below and shake violently on the earthen floor. Would the Bidoof break free and make a run for it? Would the wild Pokemon remain within the red-and-white sphere and accept his new fate as one of many of Zaiden’s Pokemon? His thought ebbed and flowed in the back of his mind in a haze, much like the fog that slowly drifted across the open route. Would he manage to find enough time to work with and get to know each of his Pokemon individually? Would they all appreciate him in turn?
There was so much that Zaiden had to consider. He reached up absentmindedly and scratched the top of his head. Zaiden’s short mousy-brown hair barely tickled the tips of his fingers as his nails raked the soft flesh of his scalp. It felt good and helped the teenager slowly relax. He blinked slowly and stared at the long, spiked silhouettes of the tall pine and oak trees that marked their ways around the winding pathways towards the next city. Their colors were muddled within the thick blanket of fog, whose appearance seemed as though you could slice a piece of it with a knife. Small dark shadows darted through the tall grasses, causing their long blades to bob and sway in different directions. Long caws and soft hoots murmured from the tops of the trees.
Zaiden walked slowly down the winding path. It curved around a thick clump of trees whose reach was so dense that he doubted if even a small Rattata could manage to squeeze its hide between their trunks. Many smaller, spiky plants brimmed around their bases, with sharp thorns that shot out through the tall grasses and wrapped tightly around the bases of the trees. Would he be able to find each Pokemon a home that could truly love and cherish them in the ways that they deserved? Zaiden placed his hand up on a steep ledge whose base stopped just below his bellybutton and pushed himself up and over the ledge kicking and clawing. He stood up and leaned over with his hands down on his knees as he labored with deep breaths.
The teenager would press on after taking a moment to recover. They were almost out of the winding route and would soon see the glowing lights of the upcoming city. Something laughed in the distance. Its sound was soft and cherubic but eerie, like a toddler’s voice mixed with a strange, guttural growl. Zaiden paused and widened his eyes in suspension. He searched through the thick fog and studied each shadow that loomed in the distance. A soft breeze shook the tops of the trees, causing their long spindly branches to reach out and scratch the air itself with their tips. Was there something lurking within their tops? And still, the laughter persisted. Zaiden spun around and watched two strange shadows dart off in different directions, with one disappearing over the ledge he’d worked so hard to climb up.
“…” Zaiden gulped and took slow, controlled breaths. The other shadow seemed to rush through the tall grasses in strange, erratic patterns. The way it disappeared and returned – growing larger and smaller at random intervals – caused Zaiden to blink and rub his eyes. Was he growing tired in this fog? The sun had since set, casting the world in a deep darkness that only enhanced the shadows around him. When he managed to get close enough to investigate the strange silhouette he thought he’d saw shades of green and reds atop the body of a small, white humanoid Pokemon. What was that? Zaiden pondered as he reached for one of the Pokeballs on his belt…

Fog was swirling around but ralts where doing what ralts where doing in the night without much worry, it could sense emotions which meant it always had a pretty good picture of what was around it. It's horn tickled and it stopped abruptly then slowly turned its face and giggled excitedly. This feeling was strong, and pure and good! It had a bit of trouble pinpointing where he was exactly though and ran around randomly as giggles escaped it occasionally. Ralts [Lv 9] approaches Zaiden excitedly but has a hard time finding him in the fog. Shiny: a3hswA561-421-42

MOD NOTE: PIKIPEK ONLY IN THIS THREAD FOR EXP! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Night
The beige teenager tried to follow the strange silhouettes that danced in the dense fog. Many proved to be small trees and shrubs swaying in the gentle breeze. The eerie haze that covered the face of the earth made it hard for the young lad to figure anything out. He couldn’t even tell what direction he was heading in or if he was going back the way he came! The strange laughter that lifted itself over the dense fog and called out to Zaiden with an eerie charm reminded him of his young cousins back when he lived with his parents, before he began his Pokemon journey. Didn’t all small children giggle in nearly the same fashion? Though, something abnormally strange swirled in the sound, almost animalistic in its touch.
Was something else following them through the dense fog? Zaiden waved his arms up high and gulped back his words as he fought to call out to the strange person or creature. What would it do if he approached it? One of the Pokeballs on his side lit up with a bright beam of light, causing the fog to shine in Zaiden’s eyes. He grimaced, shielding his eyes with his hands as the suspended water vapors only reflected the light back at Zaiden and his partner, verses letting the light shoot through the dense fog to illuminate whatever might be hiding in the haze. Hejji pumped his small fists and curled his body in repetitious motions as the bright light formed into the small hedgehog. “Oh…a scary movie, huh? Sounds like I need to beef up my routine!” Hejji covered his lips and giggled.
He tore off through the dense fog and chased after the giggling Pokemon. What could it have been, lost within the brume? The furry brown Pokemon’s small black eyes blossomed with hope as his smile stayed firmly fixed upon his face. “Hey, friend!” Hejji placed his hands around his mouth like he’d seen Zaiden do a time or two and called out to the childlike Pokemon that hid within the mists. “Don’t you want to come work out with me? I can help you get a good routine started! We don’t actually have to battle, unless that’s what you like to do to work out!” Hejji promised the other Pokemon. Hejji darted through the dense fog, disappearing into the sea of strange silhouettes before Zaiden’s eyes, as he chased after the other Pokemon.
Zaiden gulped with wide, terrified eyes as he watched his Pokemon take off after the other one. Had he called Hejji out of his ball or did the Chespin decide to enter into this fray on his own? Zaiden couldn’t remember calling his Pokemon out, but he had to wonder if his hand may have accidentally brushed against the small button in the center of Hejji’s ball. “Hejji!” The teenager’s skittish voice echoed over the brume as Zaiden ran after his Pokemon, chasing down silhouettes. Each one was more disappointing that the last. A tree appeared where he’d thought two Pokemon in the distance were fighting, then a small, wide bush blossomed up where Zaiden had expected two Pokemon to be tussling in the wild grasses. Where were they?
Something moved to his right, causing the mousy-brown haired trainer to spin around and stare through a narrowed gaze as he studied the shadows. What was there? He darted, running on the top of his heels after his Pokemon. “HEJJI!” Though, what he witnessed instead was the form of a small, child-like Pokemon with two large red horns on either side of its head staring back at him. Shortly after, Hejji would appear, jumping in front of Zaiden with a powerful burst of energy, unleashing large vines that jutted out from the ground below and sped after the small Pokemon, trying to whip the Ralts it had mistaken as some monster. Zaiden’s bag tilted on his back and a small red-and-white Pokeball plopped out to roll across the ground towards the small child-like creature.
OOC: Sending out Hejji who uses Vine Whip. Then using 1 Pokeball! Not Self-Updated (yet, gotta get ready for work).

MOD NOTE: PIKIPEK ONLY IN THIS THREAD FOR EXP! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Night
The ethereal haze slithered around the tall trees and over the winding hills. Zaiden paused for a second with his mouth slightly agape and tried to figure out which way they were heading. The tall silhouettes of the pines wobbling in in the distance looked like tall slender aliens lurching to snag up wandering souls within their grasp. The steep hillsides were littered with ledges and quick drops. The beige teenager knew that he had to be careful while navigating his way back towards Violet. He’d already traveled it before. Why was it so difficult finding his foothold along the path now that the dense fog wrapped its invisible fingers around the area?
Was this a different way than he had taken in the past? The trees all looked largely the same, though some were taller than others, and some had a wider trunk than others. A couple of broken branches and snapped trees marked different areas for Zaiden. It reminded him as he passed it a second time that he’d seen this part of Route 30 before and made him realize that he wasn’t currently heading in a straight path. Some smaller ferns and conifers cropped up, blocking the path. Though these trees were smaller than many of the other trees along the pathway and seemed as though they could be easily cut down with an axe or other similar tool, it would cause Zaiden to spin around and hunt for a new direction.
“Where am I?!” Zaiden exclaimed loudly and tossed his hands up in the air. It seemed as though he was going to be doomed to walk in circles forever! He couldn’t even remember which group of trees he had seen, and which ones were new. With each ledge Zaiden climbed up or jumped over, only to be confronted with a dead end that caused the young teenager to spin back around and head back in the direction he came, his temper boiled slowly underneath his skin. But Zaiden had no one to blame but himself. He had nothing to help him beyond the map that he had been given, where all the trees along the pathways looked like the same jutting footsteps. A house seemed to sit somewhere in the buried mess, though Zaiden never stumbled upon it. Who would live out here all alone, secluded and away from society altogether?
Would Zaiden? He pondered the idea thoughtfully with a soft ‘hum’. Would he give up everything he’d ever known to hide himself away from the world inside of his house, buried miles away from everyone else? It was inviting in its own way and had a sort of ridiculous charm to it. How would he get all of the supplies that he needed, without making long and purposeful trips back to the nearest town every time? Zaiden already understood how difficult that was to do now, as he traversed the various routes from one city to the next on his never-ending journey to help save his parents’ home. Could he compound that issue by just never returning back to a city and claiming it as his permanent residence in the end? It was a daunting question to answer, with more questions compiling just from the simple notion alone.
“Where am I?!” A voice echoed from the tops of the nearby trees like a shiver in the night. Zaiden gulped as he jumped up and tentatively approached the tallest pine tree he’d ever seen on Route 30. The young lad pressed a singular hand against the tall pine’s base and stared up at the long branches of its canopy above. Shaking with worry and doubt, he fought the anxiety that seized his throat and struggled to speak up into the treetop above. “Hello?” Zaiden called with a shaking, skittish voice. “Hello?” The strange creature spoke back, mimicking Zaiden’s skittish tone.

The young lad blinked heavily and rubbed his eyes. Was something or someone out there? He pressed his hand flat over his eyes on his forehead as though he were shielding out the sun itself through the dense fog that surrounded him. A chill crawled down Zaiden’s spine as worry and anxiety swelled up inside of his chest. Something stirred in the treetops like a tiny apparition. The whirr and rustle of the wind boomed inside of his ears as his fear amplified the sounds. Leaves scattered across the ground in the open wind, scratching against one another as they moved. What lurked in the dark depths of the dense forest?
“…” Zaiden pulled on the collar of his shirt and gulped. “Hello?!” The voice boomed again. The strange shadow that clung to a thick branch in a nearby tree hopped down. It stretched out two long, almost triangular shadows at its sides and shook them vigorously as it fluttered from branch to branch, staring back at the beige teenager. Zaiden quietly fumbled in the dark inside of his pants pocket for any Pokeball – something to save him from this bad dream or spell he seemed to be placed under. Some smooth and solid, yet cold to the touch pressed against the young trainer’s fingertips and in an instance, he snagged it up and tossed it out into the waking world with the click of a button.
A small furry rodent with a round stomach and long ears appeared. His thick bush striped tail thumped against the forest floor on either side of him as his small beady eyes widened in fear. What was his trainer doing?! Was Zaiden sending him out into the middle of another battle? Something stirred in the wind as the shadowy silhouette soared overhead, flying from one treetop to the next. “Hello?!” The voice persisted, getting louder and stronger each time. It seemed deliberate, as though the strange ghostly figure were inviting them closer in some strange sort of game. But what? What could it all mean? Baunsu shook his head firmly as his ears flopped to the ground and he hunkered down in the tall patch of wild green grasses.
No way! He wasn’t built for this! He gulped, turning this way and that as he searched for the nearest exit out of this nightmare that Zaiden had thrown him into. The teenager leaned down beside his Pokemon and gently reached out to Baunsu to console him, petting the furry rodent gently with his hands. “You’ve got this. Quick Attack.” He stood back up, craning his heads towards the treetops above, and nodded towards the ghostly figured that soared from one tree to the next overhead. The voice beckoned them, swooping down lower each time, as it mimicked the young trainer in a strange and almost human voice. “You’ve got this!” It reassured Baunsu and Zaiden, promising them both in that instant and causing them to look reflexively from one to the other with widened and terrified eyes. “Quick Attack!” It commanded.
Baunsu swallowed the lump inside of his throat hard and slowly lifted himself up off of the ground as the strange creature swooped down to land in the wild grasses near him. Could he handle this beast on his own? Would it summon more or its kind or steal his soul to drag it away to some forbidden place? If it was some sort of ghostly apparition, would his attacks even manage to land a scratch on the strange creature’s hide? He had to hope beyond all hopes that Zaiden knew what he was doing. The rotund rabbit rushed off through the wild grasses, scurrying up the long trunks of nearby trees and hopping from branch to branch as he chased after the apparition and tried to ram his head into its strange, ghostly form as hard as he could.

Baunsu grunted and groaned underneath his throat as he kicked and clawed his way up the base of a tall pine tree. It was so much work to climb the tree that Baunsu had almost forgotten how hard it could be! He raked his clawed against the tough bark of the tall pine, pulling back to howl in pain as splinters pierced the soft flesh of his hands. He couldn’t give up this close to the goal, though. Baunsu scurried up onto the closest and thickest branch that he was sure would manage to hold his weight and stood on top of his tail to survey the air. When a gust of wind shook the branch and caused the trees to rustle together, Baunsu yelped and popped back down on all fours to grip his feet defensively around the branch to steady himself. What in the world?! He’d nearly plummeted to certain death all from a puff of wind?! Baunsu mentally noted that he would need to be more careful in the future and returned to scanning the area.
The bright blue winged bird with its strange musical note shaped head crest swooped inches away from Baunsu’s face to land up high into the tree just above Baunsu and stare down at his opponent with a strange grin. “Baunsu!” Zaiden called up into the branches of the tree from the ground below. The teenager cupped his hands around his mouth to simulate a speakerphone and shouted as loud as he could. His eyes searched through the wild multihued leaves that seemed to burst from every inch of the branches above for his Pokemon. Would Baunsu be alright this high above the ground? Could he manage to keep himself up there without falling? Could he handle the fight on his own?! There were so many questions that pounded inside of Zaiden’s skull that it cause the boy to slowly back up and shake his head heavily from the headache it caused him. “Baunsu!” Chatot chirped with a loud trill. “Baunsu! Baunsu!” It taunted with a strange glee.
The furry brown Sentret glared at the other Pokemon as they tussled, and both fell out of the tree and onto the ground. They rolled around in the ground in a flurry of fur and feathers. Large tufts of brown fur floated up into the air and mixed with scattered feathers of various hues. When they separated, both Pokemon were covered with sharp scars and small bald spots where the other had managed to take a chunk out of their natural coating. The Chatot tested the ground with its beak, before hopping back up and flying up high above Baunsu one more. Baunsu turned away with a heavy shudder and curled himself up with wide, pleading eyes towards Zaiden. Couldn’t his trainer see how hurt he was? Wouldn’t Zaiden have a heart and choose someone else to take his place? Baunsu gulped, purring nervously, as he squeaked in pain.
Zaiden stood still and nervously rubbed right arm with his left hand. What should he do in this instance? It was clear that Baunsu didn’t want to keep up the fight, even if Zaiden was sure he could physically handle another round or two. His worst fear had come true, as well! Baunsu tumbled from the tops of the trees, and even if he survived the fall Zaiden had watched, horrified, while expecting the worst. Zaiden spun around and fumbled around inside of his bag until he managed to find a couple of balls with green domes that had a brown swirl painted on their tops. He would carefully line his aim up and toss one of them at the Chatot with baited breath as he waited to see if his catch would be successful.

The chatot is so focused on Baunsu, the sentret, that the bird doesn't see the different Pokeball come at it. The fog also makes it hard to see the ball coming at the bird. The ball wiggles back and forth for a few moments. To catch or not to catch (75%) 7UhUg5101-100 It finally dings with a successful capture.

MOD NOTE: PIKIPEK ONLY IN THIS THREAD FOR EXP! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Night
Zaiden bit his lower lip and paused with bated breath as he watched the small ball swallow the brightly colored bird inside. It tumbled into the tall grasses and disappeared within the foggy darkness of the night air. Only the gentle swaying of the blades of grass gave away the Nest Ball’s location as it rocked back and forth. Even then, each time a gust of wind shook the world, rustling the canopies above and shaking the blades of grass, it made it difficult for Zaiden to tell exactly where the ball landed. He fumbled through the tall grasses on his hands and knees, patting the ground with the palm of his hands. The rough bark of scattered twigs, the smooth and crunchy textures of the dried leaves, and the sharp edges of the small rocks would caress the soft palms of his hands as he felt around for his new Pokemon’s ball.
Zaiden jumped back as a few rocks managed to stab his soft palms and nicked him. He shook his heads reflexively and grimaced in pain, before using both hands to rub each other protectively. That really hurt! He needed to find the Nest Ball, but the pain that ebbed from the palm of his hands caused him to rethink how he’d managed to find it. Instead, Zaiden crouched down and began parting the tall blades of grass as he searched in between them and surveyed the multiple items that scattered the ground. He’d carefully and purposefully push scattered leaves away or lift up larger rocks that he thought could have hidden the ball behind them. When it finally gave a loud ding to announce that he'd successfully captured the Pokemon, he immediately crawled-hopped towards the spot while already crouched and snagged it up in his hands as soon as he was able to find it. Yes!
Though, something totally different and new caught his attention, instead. With widened eyes, Zaiden spun around to catch a glimpse of his furry brown Pokemon glowing underneath the pale moon’s light. During the daylight, evolution looked so normal even with its strange glow that Zaiden sometimes overlooked it, even though each and every evolution was a miraculous tansformation. However, unederneath the pale moon’s light, Baunsu’s evolution was like a beautiful butterfly crawling out of its cocoon for the first time. He shifted in the bright light that swallowed him whole and seemed to shine like a miniature sun touching the earth itself. Baunsu’s long ears shrunk into sharp, triangular shapes as his long body and tail morphed into one long form that seemed impossible to tell where one ended and one began. His fur diluted in color, as well, and instead became a rich creamy complexion with medium-brown stripes coursing their way throughout his form.
“Oh!” Zaiden smiled. He walked over to Baunsu and knelt down to gently reach out and pet his new form. “Nice.” He smiled approvingly. He had Baunsu since he’d first began his travels and recalled battling the skittish rabbit on a beautiful spring day that felt almost like a lifetime again. Seeing one of his first companions finally evolving and transforming into something altogether new and different caused Zaiden to choke up as the tears swelled up in his eyes. Unlike the previous tears he’d cried, this time the teenager’s tears were one of pure joy. Baunsu stared up at his trainer as he lifted his elongated ferret body up on his hinds legs. He wobbled a bit, getting used to his new legs and body. Once he managed to steady himself, Baunsu placed one hand on Zaiden’s shoulder and used the other to wipe away his trainer’s tears. “It’s ok, trainer!” Baunsu reassured Zaiden. “I’m ok now, see! I only evolved. I’m not hurt, I promise!” He tried his best to reassure Zaiden.
OOC: Thank you so much Anton! Pikipek also has the Exp Share on him so he should get +1 Level to level 12, so I'll go ahead and update that in (noting for reference). Baunsu evolves and forgets Scratch to learn Fury Swipes. Self-Updating as well!

"No! You are wrong!" A voice shouted from up in the tree, a branch rustled and a moment later a weedle came crawling down mumbling furiously to itself. "Get back here! I'm not done with you!" A voice called from inside the treetop, well out of sight and the weedle, who had reached the ground spun around to shout back at whoever was up there: "you can't order me around! So quiet it! I'm my own weedle now and you are nothing!"It began to crawl away from the tree when it spotted the tearful Zaiden and his very long furret companion, it snorted disdainfully, "Get a grip and be a man!" It snapped. Weedle [Lv 6] thinks Zaiden should pull himself together. Fog will be in effectShiny: 9a_4El3p1-421-42

MOD NOTE: PIKIPEK ONLY IN THIS THREAD FOR EXP! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Night
Zaiden laughed. It was evident that Baunsu cared deeply for him, and he felt the same way for his Pokemon. Baunsu was one of the original Pokemon Zaiden started his journey off with. To see Baunsu evolve made his heart swell. Zaiden couldn’t quite explain it – why Baunsu’s evolution hit him harder than the evolutions of his other Pokemon he had along the way. Perhaps it was familiarity that caused his heart to swell? Familiarity that faced conflict with the constant pressure of change. He’d only known Baunsu as this slightly awkward, skittish, rotund rabbit-like Pokemon with long ears and a thick, bushy tail. Now Baunsu was this long, sleek ferret-like Pokemon whose body looked almost like it was one long tail with four legs.
“It’s alright, Baunsu.” Zaiden smiled. He reached out and gently patted his Furret on the top of his head. Baunsu’s fur was so soft it was like petting super smooth silky bedsheets with his fingertips! Zaiden remembered the previous form being a bit rougher, though he used to think Baunsu had smooth fur before. Was it possible that he had been wrong, or was it just that Zaiden was able to realize how much softer Baunsu’s fur had become? The slinky Furret blinked and stared at his beige trainer through emerald eyes. What? He didn’t quite understand Zaiden in that moment, and so Baunsu would simply smile and press his head up against Zaiden’s hands. It felt good to be petted. Even if Zaiden’s hands were coarse from the laborious treks they’ve taken throughout their prolonged journey, Baunsu enjoyed his trainer’s gentle touch.
Something spoke up and caused Zaiden and Baunsu to both jump. A shiver crawled through out Baunsu’s entire body. He whipped his head around and narrowed his eyes down with a loud hiss. What was that?! Baunsu hunted for the mystery creature while ducking behind his trainer. He would do his best to stand up to the opponent if he needed, though Baunsu hoped that Zaiden had a better plan in mind. Zaiden’s rich brown eyes searched alongside Baunsu with apprehension and worry. What spoke up in the tall grasses? When he couldn’t readily spot the hidden creature, Zaiden’s mouth opened with a slightly scared gape. Was it some kind of ghost that haunted them?! He gulped, shivering, and tentatively stepped slowly closer towards the direction of the sound.
“Over here lily-livered!” It spoke up and bounced inside of the tail grass. A small, pointed dagger-like horn prodded just above the tall grasses. It seemed to shine in the darkness of the night underneath the pale moon’s light. It seemed so…tiny…in comparison to what Zaiden was expecting to find. The boy slowly backed away as the horn waved itself dangerously close to his legs, and literally hopped out of the way as the horn jabbed itself at his feet. What in the world?! The small brown caterpillar crawled out with a sharp, determined look. Zaiden exhaled a deep sigh of relief when he realized that the Weedle was no mysterious ghostly apparition that had come to haunt him. “Oh, good. Yarite, go.” He called out, tossing a small red-and-white sphere up into the air with the click of a button.
A small blue lizard with slick scales appeared in a flash. Yarite stood in front of the small bug with wide, fearful eyes. What was happening?! Why was he called out?! What was this dangerous and deadly creature that stared at him like all it wanted to do was completely rip it apart, limb from limb?! Sure, Yarite could have easily overreacted off-the-bat, but he only looked at it as being prepared for the worst. “H-hi…don’t hurt me, please!” Zaiden clapped his hands and nodded approvingly towards his Pokemon. “Use Bind!” But why? Why did he need to bind the other Pokemon? Didn’t those dangerous looking horns say please don’t bind if you liked living instead? Yarite spat out a bunch of water and darted for the nearest body of water to hide in, which was just a small puddle. “Ahhh! Byeee!” Yarite screeched in a shaky voice.
OOC: Sending out Yarite and using Water Gun. THEN using 1 Poke Ball. ^^ If successful / battle ends please use Mod Bar on Yarite!
