If it weren't for all the water surrounding Surskit, she probably would've felt like she was dying under the seemingly unending heat waves that continued to rain down on this island from the blazing sun above. That said, the Pond Skater Pokemon still found this heat to be at least partially unbearable, splashing some water on her face before speaking up.
"Sur...Surskit. Kit." Shinya, on the other hand, wasn't bothered by the heat in the slightest. Not even a single bead of sweat could be seen anywhere on the Team Skull grunt's face or body.
"Awww, c'mon, Surskit. This heat is nothin'. If ya can't stand this heat, then how are ya gonna stand the heat in Alola? Because ya know we're goin' back there someday, right?"It was true. Even though Shinya was enjoying his journey through Johto so far, it was still his goal to one day return to the Alola region and rebuild Team Skull as its new leader. And needless to say, the sunlight was much harsher in the constantly tropical region of Alola. Just the thought was enough to fill Surskit with worry and dread, as she felt nearly all of the spirit leave her body at that point.
"Surskit...Sur..." As Shinya's Pokemon, she had no choice but to follow him wherever he went. No matter how much she didn't want to. However, the train of thought for both the Bug type trainer and Pokemon came to a grinding halt as soon as a bright light began to shine from Shinya's bag.
Very surprised and intrigued by this, Shinya quickly reached into his bag and found that the light was coming from the Pokemon egg that he had received a while ago.
"Well now, look who finally decided to come out and play. Sure took ya long enough." Shinya remarked as he waited for the egg to finish hatching, with both him and Surskit keeping their eyes locked on the egg the entire time, wondering just what kind of Pokemon would end up emerging from the green and red-colored egg. About thirty seconds later, the egg finally hatched, and a brand new Pokemon appeared in Shinya's arms in its place. The newly hatched Pokemon slowly opened its eyes and let out a yawn, getting its first look at the world around it after that.
"Yannnnnn...Yanma?" The Pokemon in question was none other than Yanma, the Clear Wing Pokemon. Since it was a Bug type, it was a very welcome sight for Shinya, as he grinned at the Bug/Flying type as soon as their eyes met.
"Yanma, huh? This is good. Welcome to Team Skull." Being a newborn, Yanma didn't understand a word that the Team Skull grunt said, but still recognized him as its caretaker.
"Yan. Yanma. Yan." The young Pokemon slowly spread its wings and took to the air for the first time, but it didn't stay in the air for long, landing right on top of Shinya's head and making itself comfortable. A bit surprised again by this, Shinya lost his grin, but didn't protest, and simply shrugged his shoulders.
"Whatever. Stay there for now if ya want. I guess I don't mind. Just don't get too comfortable. We're still here for training." Shinya said to the newest addition to his team, but his attention was quickly recaptured by Surskit, as she warned him of an approaching foe.
"Surskit! Surskit! Kit!" Surskit was just a little too late though, having gotten caught up in the moment when Yanma emerged from its egg. By the time Shinya noticed, the wild Krabby had already reached him and started snipping at his pants and shoes. The Bug type trainer had been snapped at by wild Pokemon many times before, so Krabby's claws didn't really hurt him at all, but it was still very annoying to him.
"Tch. I'm not goin' anywhere just because some annoying little shrimp tells me to. Now, back off!" As he glared down at the River Crab Pokemon, Shinya gave it a good kick, sending it flying back several yards. Shinya didn't stop there though, reaching into his bag and pulling out yet another Net Ball.
"I don't give a damn about this island or anything that lives on it! But you look like you'll make another good batch of experience points for Surskit here! So, let's go, Net Ball! Get it!" Shinya tossed his third Net Ball right at the wild Krabby, while Surskit stood close by on the water's surface and waited to gain even more experience points. All the while, Yanma just observed from the top of Shinya's head, not really sure what was going on at all.
OOC: Just a reminder, Shinya captured a level 10 Binacle during his second encounter in the Rock Pool, but I'm still not seeing it in his PC. Could someone please address that? Thanks a bunch.
