Nate couldn't help but to smile gently as he listened to Lei as she explained it more to him. "That is true as some things about Pokemon make no sense at all. So I guess it is good that there are the Professor's out there doing the research for us and telling everyone about their discoveries." He raised an eyebrow slightly. "How do you even become a Professor? I doubt it is going to be something simple or otherwise there would be loads of Professor's out there." "But we only know part of the place. There is still plenty of the island that we need to discover." He let out a slight sigh of frustration. "The only problem in that is that I don't currently own a flying type Pokemon so I can't really just fly right back here when ever I want to. I have been searching for one before I came on the cruise but I had no luck so I will just continue searching when I get away."
"Sorry for worrying you about wasting our hard work." Nate rubs the back of his head slightly nervously, but at least it seems like Lei had seemed to calm down while the pokeball was shaking. He looked around at the other trainers battling the wild Pokemon. "That is good as it is interesting to be battling alongside another trainer as it makes the battles easier." Nate couldn't help but to smirk slightly over the pair that were conflicting over what to do about a Poliwag and a Staryu. "I wouldn't mind being in that battle as I wouldn't mind obtaining the Poliwag since Poliwrath are cool." He commented. "You never know what our next encounter will be." Nate looked down at the water. "That is what makes the searching so much fun."
He bit his lower lip gently as he hoped that she wouldn't have picked up on it. "My starter was a Beedrill..." Nate shivered slightly at the thought of his starter Pokemon from when he was in the ninja clan. "...then my other Pokemon were a Gardevoir, Breloom, Shedinja, Aggron and Medicham. But I wasn't allowed to bring them with me to Johto." Nate looked down as he had chosen the Pokemon to give him a advantage against anyone from the ninja clan, but they still got destroyed by the poison types.
'It wasn't that hard.' Blasty didn't bother to high five Flynn since it wasn't much to celebrate yet since their trainers wanted more Pokemon to be found. 'We might as well get as much exercise as we can get while we are on this island.' He looked around the pond not sure what else would be found by them. 'It won't hurt to have a look in another spot. Maybe we will find a mighty Gyaraods or a lovely Milotic.' Blasty smiled gently since it was very unlikely for them to find either of those Pokemon but it would be fun if they did. He followed after the Oshawott and soon enough they got chased by a Binacle and a Poliwag. Blasty swam upwards towards the two trainers so that a new battle could start.
Nate watched as Blasty blasted out of the water followed by the two wild Pokemon. He pulled out his pokedex and scanned the Binacle as he didn't recognize it. "Well I guess I can now catch a Poliwag. Do you want to catch the Binacle?" Nate looked at his two Pokemon and then at the two wild Pokemon. "Luck use Stun Spore on the Poliwag."
Luck released a cloud of orange powder from her mouth at the Poliwag. 'Lets see if I can do better this time.'

Lei shot Nate a surprised look, "I assume they go to school first and then they work as assistance under another professor until they are good enough to become one themselves," she said and wondered how little this teenager knew about the world. "As so many other things I assume there would be some sort of test or approval before one can call themselves a Professor but I haven't looked into it," she shrugged. "It will take a bit longer to explore, but even the little we learn will be valuable when we return," Lei said confidently and made a grimace as she looked at the rocks around them, "though I wouldn't be surprised if someone would complain that we hadn't categorized the rocks or the plants or something like that," she said and added in a highpitched mocking voice, "it's very important to know the habitat the pokemon lives in, why didn't you think of that?!" Lei chuckled, "I'll bet you someone is going to scold us for not bringing home examples or something, but I don't know anything about that kind of stuff," she gestured vaguely to their surroundings. "A flying pokemon would be wonderful, but to be honest, if I had one I had left the islands. Then I could always return later when I'm better prepared and don't have to worry about food or shelter," Lei agreed and crossed her sun tanned arms, for the time being it seemed almost like her home islands, when she ignored the gnawing feeling of hunger in her stomach. "If you want a flying type there is plenty of wingulls around," Lei pointed out and pointed to one of the white seabird which passed overhead, this was too high up for them to reach though.
"It is what it is," Lei said dismissively, no need to talk more about that, seemed like Nate had understood and Lei saw no reason to keep stomping around in it. "Poliwrath is an awesome pokemon, it is a really great bulky fighting type, or water type, depending on what you prefer," she chuckled and thought for a bit, "I caught a poliwag some time ago while I was fishing around Violet, but I think I want to evolve that one into a politoad," she grinned secretly and glanced at Nate to see if he would ask her why that was and give her a chance to brag. She agreed and nodded, seeing what you could find what exciting, especially when you got really lucky once in a while.
Lei listened politely as Nate told about his first pokemon, expecting things like rattata and pidgey, she nodded along as Nate mentioned Beedrill, that was a pokemon she would expect as they were easy to evolve. She didn't react on Nate's shivering, it was well enough hidden in his voice and she wasn't looking at him. Her pleasant smile fell as he continued to list his pokemon, at breloom she looked at him sharply and at aggron her mouth fell open. "You are kidding me!" She exclaimed in disbelief, "didn't you just say earlier that you didn't know much about pokemon battles?! And now you claim to have had such overpowered team?!" She looked upset, not sure if she should believe he was lying to her now, or had been lying earlier, but then she blinked as realization hit her. "Wait, didn't you say you had been borrowed a team?" She said and a smile spread on her face, "of course! That'll explain it, that was the team you borrowed, I get it now, and of course the owners didn't want you to take them along when you started your journey." She looked at bit puzzled at the teenager as he looked down while he talked about the pokemon, not quite getting what was bothering him.
Lei turned when the sound of splashing water reached them and she grinned and nudged Nate in the hope he'd cheer up again, "Look what the cat dragged in, I think you'll like this very much!" She looked at Nate with amused disbelief, "come on! Show a bit excitement here! You just said you really wanted one and it was cool, then it presents itself for you ready to pick and you act like its another common pokeball you get offered," she laughed as she shook her head and placed her hands on her hips, looking at the binacle. "I might as well catch it, its ugly and I will not look forward to train it, but I will need it for the dex and I like its spirit," Lei said pleased and looked challenging at the binacle.
"We better practice this team work, if we're going to stick around for a longer period," Lei said to Nate and listened to him give his orders to Luck. "Good, I will," she began but stopped when Leafshade gestured frantically to her and she frowned ignored, why did that stupid thing interrupt her? "It better be important," she warned Leafshade who nodded eagerly and then with a flick of his head sent a single leaf flying. He looked eagerly up at Lei who's eyes had widened, then she grinned. "Change of plans! Leafshade will use Razor Leaf and then they should both be weak enough for capture especially if you manage to paralyse the poliwag!" She said and looked at Nate for his acceptance, "so an attack, we both switch and then throw our pokeballs, deal?"
Flynn didn't see anything interesting in the pool he looked in, it was even more shallow than the last, but he heard the commotion behind him and turned to see two pokemon chase Blasty back towards their trainers. "Hey! Wait for me! Don't leave me out of the fun," He called after them and ran as fast as he could over the slippery and uneven rocks back to the others. He was panting when he joined Blasty, "considering you don't want to battle, you are great at attracting others who wants to battle you!" He commented with a grin. Flynn looked at the battle which was starting in front of them, "do you think we'll get another chance?"
(ooc: Leafshade uses Razor Leaf. No worries Nate, usually when there are nothing to choose like that, we plot in the "genderless" instead of "Choose" ^^ )

All the wild Pokemon wanted was peace. Although they thought that this wasn’t too much to ask for, both the rocky goose barnacle and the blue tadpole knew that they would have to fight for it. Poliwag half hid behind its own tail, peaking around the edges to gasp at the small black caterpillar and larger grass-type caterpillar. The bug didn’t scare the small tadpole nearly as much as the bug-and-grass did. Di it know a dangerous move that they needed to be prepared for, like the dreaded vines that liked to shoot out of the ground and whip water types mercilessly?! “Poli poli! Poliwag poli poli wag!” It murmured worriedly, tapping the Binacle on it’s…shoulder? We’ll go with that. It tapped the Binacle on its ‘shoulder’. The Binacle spun around and slapped the small tadpole, though it only slapped the other Pokemon lightly. “Binacle bin! Bin bin! Nacle bin!” It reminded them of how they needed to fight and scare them off if they wanted peace. It also questioned the Poliwag and asked if it remembered some other trainers battling and catching its friends. The blur tadpole shivered, nodding its head, as it spun back around to face off against Luck and Leafshade. “Poli poli!” It remembered, and promised the two other Pokemon that they wouldn’t let that happen to them so easily. Then, it began to regurgitate water inside of its mouth. Its cheeks swelled with the pressure from the water building up until the Poliwag fired the hot blast directly at Leafshade, knocking a small chunk of her leaf free from her body. “Poliwag poli!” It cheered itself on. Binacle hopped over quickly to the small black caterpillar. In the barnacle’s head, it needed to take out the weakest link quickly so that they could focus on the dual grass type. It didn’t like the way the leaves were clinging to the other Pokemon’s body, as though this one delighted on sending sharp blades after anything that moved. The Two Handed Pokemon swung around wildly and began slashing into the small Scatterbug, clawing Luck against her sides and over the top of her head. “Binacle bina!” It reminded Luck that she was no match for it. “Acle bina bina!” And told her that she needed to leave its home at once. However, as soon as Leafshade fired his sharp leaves at the two Pokemon, they would jump back and begin flailing around on the ground. The sharp, jagged edges of the leaves ripped and tore into the softest parts of the Pokemon. The blue tadpole had deep gashes along its side where Leafshade’s sharp blades managed to scar the water type, while the Binacle had cuts running up the length of both of its neck. “Polliiiwaaaggg!” It wailed in pain as tears built up in its eyes. “Binnaaccleee!” The other Pokemon cried angrily, threatening to repay Leafshade for what he had done to it, no matter what! Nate nibbled on his lower lip gently as he thought about what Lei had to say about what it would take to become a professor. "That sounds a lot simpler than I thought it would be. I thought it was going to take something ridiculous like becoming a champion and staying as the champion for many years then retiring when you are much older." He wasn't that interested in it, but it would be decent to know about for the future. "That is a shame. I don't want to do some sort of test or get the approval of some rich guy or famous person in order to become a Professor." Nate looked up above him. "I much prefer living a free life." "Hopefully we can explore a decent amount of the island before there is any sign of a rescue party since I would like to get some idea of what can be found here to see if it would be worth while for me to return or to just leave it as a past memory." It would more than likely take a rare or a unique Pokemon to be seen in order for Nate to return to the island but so far it didn't really seem possible. "Who cares about the rocks? We are not maniacs or stone collector like that powerful trainer in Hoen who likes collecting different rocks." He raised an eyebrow slightly. "I don't really care about the habitat of Pokemon, I know that Blasty for instant prefers being in a water environment or somewhat cold but not ice cold. While Luck would prefer being out in nature or a forest setting. I only need to know about the basic habitat of Pokemon." "You think I know anything about where we are? For all I know, we could be near Professor Elm's lab or in a completely different region all together." He shivered slightly as he would rather know exactly where they were. "It was just wishful thinking. If we did have a flying type Pokemon it would make it so much easier to explore since they would help us to reach hard to reach places on the island. I guess if I ever find then I will come back here with better recourses and not worry about anything else." Nate stood there and placed his hands over the back of his head as he thought about the flying type suggestion. "I would rather get a flying type that is not part water, part rock or part ground. I recently had a tough battle against a trainer who used a Chikorita. I just want to have some advantage over him so that I can wipe the smirk off of his face." Wingull were pretty common in Hoen so he wasn't that interesting in owning one.
"It all comes down to how you train the Poliwrath and treat it as it can be a powerhouse on your team or it could be used as a psych out or to buffer up your other Pokemon with moves like Rain Dance, or even Scald to inflict a burn on the opponent before you swap out." He glanced over at her when she spoke about her own Poliwag. "What made you decide on getting a Politoad instead of a Poliwrath?" Nate was curiously on the female's thinking on what to evolve her Poliwhirl into.
"I said I didn't know much about battles with a teammate. Since I got brought up to just over power your opponent with who ever was with you. So I didn't really learn much about working as part of a team. The Pokemon I chose when I decided to leave it in the past were all to have an advantage over poison types, I just didn't have the heart to get rid of Beedrill and now it has returned to my previous..." He looked away as he was opening up more than he should about why he was the way he was. "The borrowed team were all of the same type. The team I told you about was all to give me an advantage or some leg up against my worst fears." Nate looked down at Blasty as he wondered if he should go on or not. "I had two options of either returning to where I didn't want to go back to or to start anew with Blasty. You can tell what choice I made."
He couldn't help but to smirk slightly over what had been found for him. "That is the best thing I could have wished for." "There is still a long way to go. For all I know, the Poliwag could belong to someone or I may accidently faint it and then I wouldn't be able to catch it then." Nate let out a sigh since he did want to catch the Poliwag since it would be nice to have another water type so that he can have Blasty learn from a fellow water type Pokemon. "I don't really know anything about a Binacle, since this is my first time seeing one. If we do find another one then I may as well catch it since it would be interesting to see what it can learn." Nate rubbed his chin since he was more interested in the Pokemon he wasn't going to try capturing this time.
"I have learnt from my previous mistake and I will communicate more about what my decisions are going to be in any future battles we have." He did think that this battle would go better than the last one since their Pokemon are now stronger than last time. Nate watched Leafshade as he was a bit shocked over Lei's warning towards her bug Pokemon. He gently shook his head when the bug type sent a single leaf flying. "What are the chances that Leafshade would learn Razor Leaf as we are battling water type Pokemon?" Nate thought to himself since it was a amazing coincidence. "That is good as there aren't many water type that I know of that could withstand a Razor Leaf, unless it was a water and flying type." He nodded in approvement. "That is the plan as I don't think either of the wild Pokemon would be able to do much against our Pokemon, but I am concerned about the Binacle since I don't know what it is capable of."
'Last one there is a Slowpoke.' Blasty called out as he escaped from where he and Flynn were briefly. 'Well out here I am in my element so I am a lot better in searching here, than I would be out in a forest or one a path to a city.' He was speaking the truth.
Nate looked on concerned when the Binacle released a mighty Fury Cutter on Luck. Luck crashed into the ground and slowly got back up and shook herself from any loose dirt that got attached to her during the crash. 'You are one tough Pokemon. I doubt I can defeat you on my own.' She just hoped that the two water types would be able to do better than she could during this battle.
Nate couldn't help but to smirk slightly when the Razor Leaf and the Stun Spore both hit their intended targets. "So I guess it is now time to swap out our Pokemon." He looked towards his water type Pokemon. "Blasty it is your time to battle." Luck scurried over to Nate huffing as he was very weak from the battle. Blasty walked forward ready to finish the battle.

"why would it be someone rich testing them? If you'd be working for the rich man then yes, but otherwise I don't think that would have any value what they'd say, its not like they would know a darn thing about what the professor-to-be is talking about," Lei chuckled, "most likely its the other professors who reviews and grade it or something, hopefully they know what they are talking about." She glanced at him curious, "how would it not make you free to show your knowledge and get recognized by the others for your work? It woukd make you free to do the research you want about pokemon, but of course you'd have to want to do that. No need to try it out if you don't like spending your days studying pokemon or bend over a computer or however they are doing their research," she shrugged. "Hmm," Lei kind-of agreed with Nate, it would be fine to explore a bit more but honestly she was missing her bed and a hot bad more and more. And clean clothes! And a hairdresser! "Didn't you listen? Some Professors do! And Archeologists too! I helped some once in the Ruins of Alph not that long ago, and they were almost more interested in the surrounding dirt and what it could tell them, than the fossils they dug up! Heh, some of them were more interested in the broken ceramics they found, along with trash from what ancient people had eaten, researchers are weird, just accept it and let them do their thing. They do no harm and occasionally comes with information which are actually useful," she smirked.
"Nah, we didn't sail that far, we're still in Johto. We were near Cianwood City, so my guess we're in some part of Whirl Islands," she said casually and glanced at Nate when he expressed a wish to not get a part water type. "Get a fletcling then! It becomes a fire and flying so that pesky grass type wouldn't stand a chance!" She grinned and looked more thoughtful, "you do know that the flying type nullifies the weakness water has to grass in a wingull, right?" She looked closer at Nate, "reminds me of an idiot of a trainer I have run into a couple of times, I tried to buy his chikorita but he wouldn't sell it," she smiled ominously, "at our last encounter he caught me unprepared and I lost to him since I had only two weakling pokemon at hand. That will not happen again."
A smirk spread on Lei's face when Nate caught her bait and asked about her poliwag. Got'cha! She thought. "Oh, it's just easier to see its shiny coloration," she said casually and couldn't help but steal a glance at Nate to see his reaction.
Lei listened intently to what Nate was telling her, there was more to this boy than she had thought, or perhaps he was just making it up to seem interesting. Kids loved to do that. She narrowed her eyes when he trailed off, there was something he obviously wasn't telling. "So you don't like poison types," Lei concluded, "why did you need a team that strong? Were you bullied?" She asked, she doubted he really had had fully evolved pokemon he had trained up himself, that took years and Nate looked young. Lei would guess he was 13, 15 at maximum and such young kids didn't have a such powerhouse of a team other than in their imagination or borrowed from family, like she herself had. It sounded suspiciously what he told and Lei wasn't sure if she wanted to believe him or not, it sounded like he had been kidnapped or something. She pushed the thought aside as they returned to focus on the battle.
"Hm, it'd good Leafshade has become more useful, but we need to be careful or it will knock out pokemon we want to catch," Lei said thoughtfully, "but otherwise Razor Leaf is perfect for battles like this, water types and hitting more than one opponent." She narrowed her eyes at the binacle, "I'm almost certain it is a water and rock type, but that isn't telling us much," Lei said and gestured to it when it used Fury Swipes, "that at least looked like neither." Flynn had reached her now so she gestured for him to enter the battle as she recalled Leafshade.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Flynn called, surprised with Blasty's sudden show of wanting to compete. He was long behind and even though he swam as fast as he could, there was no way he could catch up. "Hahah! I'm going to be the slowest of slowpokes!" He declared teasingly as he finally joined Blasty and the battle was in full swing. Leafshade simply shook the worst of the water off and smiled suger sweet to the poliwag, "well done! That cleaned my leaves really good and I haven't looked so good in forever! My trainer will be most pleased of me, so thank you," he said cryptically and Flynn shot him a weird glance. Leafshade would smirk as he saw how the two water types reacted on his leaves and he bend back as he readied another attack, but disappeared in a red flash.
Flynn jumped forward and bowed to the pokemon, "Greetings travelers, you are now going to face me and my friend Blasty here. Proove your worth and you will get a lifetime of adventure and full bellies!" He declared with a broad gesture towards the humans behind him. He spread his arms wide, "show me what you got!" He urged and tilted his head back while closing his eyes, presenting his chest to them.

The binacle notices the change of opponents but it didn't care. All it wants is some peace and quiet. The new opponents didn't worry the two handed Pokemon. If anything, the duo actually relieved the binacle a little since both are water types. It decides to attack the oshawott with a water gun to attempt to knock it off balance after materializing. The stream of water hits the oshawott in the face making it mad. Poliwag is relieved the grass type Pokemon is now gone but still a bit mad there are two new opponents. The poliwag is not having any of it so it decides to put the squirtle asleep with hypnosis. The circular waves hits the squirtle who tries to fight the sleepiness but fails. It decides to lay down and take a nap. Poliwag notices how easily and at ease this squirtle is at sleeping on the rocks. >>Bin nina nina binny<< Poliwag looks over at the binacle and pulls its tail to its mouth as if hush the other wild Pokemon. The poliwag then points at the sleeping squirtle with the fin tail. Binacle nods with one of its hands as it refocuses on the standing oshawott. Poliwag turns its attention to awake oshawott as well. >>Poli wag wagger pol<< The Poliwag encourages the Oshawott to retreat since it is now outnumbered and possibly at the risk of also falling asleep. "I don't know. I just thought it would take a rich guy to bank roll a professor. But I guess you can never really guess what it takes to do things that you have no idea about. But it would be quite funny to have a rich person thinking they have a say in a Professor but then have no idea what the Professor-to-be is even talking about and just gives up on it." Nate shrugged his shoulders as he chuckled slightly. "That would make more sense. But then that just brings up a very interesting question. If it is a Professor who review a Professor-to-be then who reviewed the very first Professor since there wouldn't be anyone to do it for the very first one." He looked on as he thought about his question. "I just mean that if you are a Professor then your life is not as free as you would be focusing on your studies and what ever sort of Professor you are researching about. Personally I prefer to doing the things one day at a time instead of having a set routine that I must do. Plus I couldn't deal with having to hand out the starter Pokemon to new trainers." Nate let out a slight sigh. "If I found a rare stone while digging then I would want to keep it for myself instead of giving it to someone else. Like if I found a fossil of a Pokemon then I would want to resurrect it somehow so that I could raise it for my team. Or if I found a evolution stone then I would want to keep it for myself in case I find a Pokemon that evolves via a stone. But if it was what I thought of as junk then I would give it to the Professor or a archaeologist I suppose." He said with a slight shrug since he wouldn't really care about junk.
Nate glanced at Lei when she mentioned where they were near and mentioned the island they were likely to be at. "Just how far away is Cianwood City from Cherrygrove City?" He raised an eyebrow as he didn't really know the Johto region that well so the more he could learn in advance the better. "What's a Fletchling? I have never heard of that. I wouldn't mind having that since it would be a fire and flying type and would help me greatly against the pesky Chikorita." Nate looked down at Luck. Luck looked back at Nate with a disappointed look before she looked back forward. "I know that. I just mean that a grass type would deal neutral damage to a dual water and flying type, while if it changed the water typing to a different typing except for ground typing." He rolled his eyes since it was common knowledge that grass typing wasn't that effective on flying typing. "The owner of the Chikorita was definitely an idiot. He made fun of my Pokemon for being weak and kept on scolding his Chikorita. Luck put up a decent effort against it, but I had to use Mimosa to finish it off." Nate gently bit his lower lip gently. "By any chance was the trainer a red haired boy by the name of Silver?"
"Wait..." He turned his head to fully look at Lei. "...you're saying that you actually saying that you managed to capture a shiny Poliwag..." Nate's eyes widened in complete shock. "...that is so lucky."
He stuck his hands into the opposite sleeve of his black outfit as he listened to her conclusion and her question. "I can't stand them in the slightest. I freeze up when I am confronted by any poison type and I make amateur mistakes." Nate let out a sigh as he thought about the battle he had against the Bellsprout not long before he went on the cruise. "I just have bad experience with them. But you could say that I was bullied by them. I do hope to somewhat lower my fear of them eventually."
"That is true since Razor Leaf does have a very good chance to critically damage a opponent. But it is decent since it does hit multiple Pokemon though." He looked back at the wild Pokemon. "The good thing is that it would seriously weaken most water types." Nate was interested in the Binacle since he didn't know much about it exept for what the pokedex could tell him. "Not many dual types know their types as moves when they are weak. Take for example Zubat, it doesn't learn any poison or flying type moves until it is close to evolving into a Golbat."
'I am not waiting when I could have a decent chance against these two.' Blasty called out as he waited until Flynn caught up to him. 'At least you are only a Slowpoke and not a Slowking since they are so wise.' He gave smirked slightly since he was glad the other water type wasn't very clever. Nate bent down and waited for Luck to crawl up onto his hand. "Stay there as there might be more battles for you to enter." Luck got comfy on Nate's hand. 'That battle was tough.' She called out to the other bug type.
Blasty rolled his eyes as he listened to the way that Flynn was talking. 'What are you? A performer? I say they have already proved that they are worth the capture but that is completely up to our trainers.' Before he could say or do anything else, he dozed off and fell backwards asleep.
Nate pulled out a poke ball from his bag. "I guess it is time to see how good this capture is." He threw the ball at the Poliwag.

Lei shrugged, "There is probably some rich guys who pays for some research or support one or other professor, I don't know where they get their money for their research or equipment," she said and thought to herself that she only would pay for research if it could help her, and she could understand it. She wondered if some of the professors was "for sale" and could be bought to do research which could benefit her or a business in some way, probably not one of the big well known ones, but a less known one might. She got pulled out of her thoughts when Nate continued his musing, "No idea, perhaps they just showed their work to the public and they decided they were great and held them in high regard?" She smirked when Nate talked about why he couldn't be a professor, "there is other types of professors than the ones specializing in pokemon you know. Back in Alola we had tons of professors researching the ocean in all kinds of way. There was even one who claimed to be a 'surfing professor' and was researching how waves affected the surfboard or something!" She nodded as Nate gave his opinions about the stones, "yeah, me too. I don't think the rock professors would be very interested in those though, archeologists would like the fossils, but if they really are researching for rocks its just the ones laying around. I know some are really interested in the way the ground is 'layered', I think they call it. Something about being able to see how weather was in ancient time or something like that." She gave another shrug. "If you like fossils, you should go to Ruins of alph," she informed, "it's at violet," she added.
"Oh, well, pretty far," Lei said with a grin, "where did you board the cruise?" She painted a triangle in the air, "if this is Johto, Cianwood is in this corner, and New Bark is in this, and Blackthorn in the third," she explained as she pointed at the invisible points of the triangle. "More or less in the opposite ends of the Region, but you must have had an idea for how long you sailed when you got on the ship."
"I don't know what to tell you other than fletchling is a bird," Lei laughed, "I have heard rumors about very rare sightings of on route 29, and I know they can be really powerful. Any Bug and flying would be just as good, so your scatterbug there should be able to handle that pesky grass type pretty easily if you train it well," the woman pointed out as she gestured to Luck. Lei's smirk was grim, "it is, I'm not surprised he has rubbed you the wrong way," she paused and looked thoughtful at Nate, "did he only use a chikorita against you? Last time I met him, he had a zubat too, not that it was any problem."
Lei straightened and bathed in Nate's awe of her luck, "Jep! I was fishing with some fishers, who had taught me a thing or two, and I can tell you they got envious that I was lucky to lure it on and skillful enough to catch it," she bragged, "Oceaonmoon is a strong pokemon and I expect a lot from it." He still needed a lot of training but he hadn't disappointed her like some of her other pokemon had. Lei looks surprised at Nate and then stepped over to give him some hard pats on his back, "you need to work on that boy!" She said cheerfully, "otherwise the pokemon or a trainer will use it against you." She was thoughtful for a moment, "I could probably try find you a sweet easy handled one, what about getting one from an egg? That often makes them easier to handle and they are very easy to.. imprint and form."
"Effective moves are great for winning battles but a challenge if you want to catch them. If you hit to hard they run off," Lei said calmly and pulled a blue pokeball from her pocket and gave it a little kiss, "for good luck!" she said with a grin and hurled it at the binacle.
"Hey! I am smart!" Flynn grinned and gave Blasty a shove, "you don't know how many problems I have gotten out of by my swift mind!" He bragged and made his declaration to the wild pokemon which got most reaction from Blasty. Flynn grinned back to him, "I'm confident, that's what I am! And I am Flynn, who will see all mysteries in the world!" He made a pose but got not reaction and glanced over his shoulder, "Blasty! What are you doing?! It's not really the best time for a nap!" he shouted and gave the squirtle a good shook but it didn't wake up his friend. The oshawott turned when the poliwag threatened him with hypnosis too, "I'd like to see you try!" He challenged with a grin, "Unlike my laxy friend here, I am way too lively to fall for such cheap tricks!"

The bright blue tadpole jumped up and down on its slippery feet. It would slap its tail about on the ground, trying to seem as tough and imposing as possible against its enemies. The paralyzing affects of the earlier attack pulsated through the Poliwag’s veins, making it difficult for the Pokemon to remain standing on its feet. “Poli poliiii! Poliwag Poli!” It complained, shaking itself vigorously as it tried to fight through the pain. Though, every fiber of its being seemed to be actively working against it, making it difficult for the Pokemon to remain standing on its two feet. “Poliwag wag poli!” It warned the remaining Oshawott to turn away now before it would suffer the same fate as its friend. The Binacle began picking up small rocks in its hands. It would juggle them about menacingly as it eyed the two new battle contestants with a smirk on each of its faces. Even though the tadpole tried to get one of its enemies to leave, the Binacle couldn’t care less. As long as it could defeat them in a fair combat or scare them far away from its home, that’s all that mattered. It would toss the rocks up high into the air then hit each rock with a high powered blast of water, sending them spiraling past Nate and Leilani’s heads just past their Pokemon in the midst of the battle. “Binacle bina! Nacle Bin!” It warned them to get lost, and promised that it would make them get lost. The two Pokeballs that were sent flying through the air would work too well against the two Pokemon. The small blue ball with its large red ridges slapped the Binacle against the backside of its smaller ‘hand’ and sucked the Pokemon up inside. The small, red-and-white Pokeball bopped the small blue tadpole against the middle of its head and zapped the Pokemon up inside. Both balls fell on the ground and bounced around in the water on top of the rocks. They rocked and swayed for several minutes, before giving a resounding ding of victory. No matter how long and hard the Pokemon fought to break free, they would prove to be no match for the power of the Pokeball’s capturability. SUCCESS!!
