The weather turned to rain real fast as Penelope was still making her way out of here. She had to find a tree's shade to pause as she put on a jacket again. Narctar poked Penelope to be returned to his Pokeball, as he preferred the sun. However, the Skiddo did not mind. What was another day out and about in the rain?
When she was done, she heard some clicking sound and was looking around from the safety of the tree shade. However, the Skiddo was already walking and looking around for the source. When he saw the Paras, he darted toward the small bug for an express tackle. Not that Penelope had bad vision, but it was dark and rainy and hard to identify Pokemon who could also blend into their surroundings. It wasn't until the Paras used Poison Powder that Penelope could see it.
She left the comfort of the shade to confront the Paras in battle, which the Skiddo was happily engaging it. She hollered out a "HEY!" and then grabbed another one of those blue orb to throw at the Paras. The orb shattered and the young trainer saw the Para's facial expression changed. She noted how at least the Para's eyes were easier to spot facial changes than the Foongus.

The small orange bug stared at the blue orb as it rolled over in Paras’ direction. What was this thing? It looked so strange and foreign to the bug. As its memories flooded back inside of Paras’ mind reminding it of its life before the sentient fungi on its back took over its mind, it tried to recall if it had ever seen anything like this before. The cloudy visions slowly rolled over like a thick fog blacking out everything in its past and causing its mind to turn to mush. It hopped around and poked and prodded at the strange blue orb. The Adrenalin Orb would burst in a brilliant puff of blue smoke as soon as the Paras tried to bite into it, causing the bug to jump back while coughing and hacking. It immediately began hopping on the tips of its feet in alarm. It had been hit! They were using warfare in the middle of their Pokemon battle! Only thick clouds of blue smoke surrounded Paras, causing the bug to scream out in alarm as it waved its feet all about and tried to dispel the thick clouds that surrounded it. Fire! Fire! The thick smoke reminded it of a buried memory where Mushroom Bank was engulfed in tall flames. So many Pokemon screams, so many countless casualties. Where had its old family gone? This they escape the flames?! It called in alarm, while producing thick clouds of poisonous spores in response, hoping beyond all hope to cause Skiddo to suffer immensely from its spores. The memories struggled to break free inside of Paras’ mind. Another skittered up over the hills towards the bank. Large orange and brown leaves floated up into the air where the other Paras ran, before floating back to the forest floor once more. The Pokemon jumped up on top of a small stump and turned in every direction to survey the area. What was the help call for? It screeched, tilting its head, and tapping the top of the stump curiously. The Orbed Paras hopped about as it pointed towards the Skiddo. The New Paras nodded in understand as it chattered and rushed towards Skiddo on its swift, nimble feet. It would help its new friend take out Penelope and her Pokemon. That was the reason it rushed through the littered debris of the forest floor and appeared, after all. The question was not if it could take the Skiddo down, but when it would take this Pokemon down. When the Paras poked and bit the Adrenaline Orb, the blue sphere disappeared into a cloud of blue smoke, and the opponent froze for a bit as its eyes seemed to have remember things, or seen things. Then, Penelope heard another Paras's noise closing in, and the sound of fallen dried leaves rustling in the rain as the little Paras's feet splashed and kicked the leaves around as it made its way to the battlefield. Soon enough, Penelope saw the other Paras coming to aid its friend. Thankfully, this time the Paras didn't need to blabber too much. The two exchanged some nods and pointing with their forelegs, and communicated quick enough.
Okay, Paras were less annoying than Foongus.
Penelope was ready to use her strategy in the previous battle again, and ordered her Pokemon. "Let's get ready with a Growth or two!"
The Skiddo stared at the two Paras and bleated in response to Penelope. He stomped one of his front hooves, and began his temporary growth process to be the bigger grass type in town.

The Skiddo was impossibly strong. Both Paras could tell that. The sentient fungus that tapped into their central nervous system and hijacked their minds could tell, as well. This Pokemon could spell death for them, and for the sentient fungus they needed their hosts very much alive. The wild bugs raised their pinschers up and snapped them in the air as the rain poured down around them. It was a warning. Leave or be made to leave! There was little to no chance that the two wild part-bug part-fungus zombie-like Pokemon could allow Skiddo to exist as an omnipresent danger within their mushroom infested bank. But Skiddo had an idea of his own. The Skiddo stood firm as he stomped each hoof into the ground. A bright green light swallowed him alive. The two Paras stopped and stared with widen, blank and soulless eyes as Skiddo grew in size. What was this? They turned to each other and chattered something strange and cryptic, not quite Pokemon speech and not quite gibberish, and nodded. Their opponent must be infested, too. But by what? What fungus could infest a Pokemon so securely that they grew to new heights? They’d heard of much stronger Paras and Parasect that could do this, though in their mind this Skiddo couldn’t have been that strong. Could it? One fired off a powerful blast of green energy while the other rushed in and slashed at Skiddo’s legs. The strange goat just looked stronger and as though the scratch had literally only left a scratch on his leg. What? They jumped back and tapped the soddened ground with their legs. The soggy leaves clung to their feet, making their running gait awkward at best. Huh? So this strange beast seemed to gobble down powerful plant-based energy attacks? They needed a new plan. Something that would help slowly destroy Skiddo over time and make their scratches seem stronger than what they were. Chattering once more, both Paras would nod their heads as if agreeing with what the other said. One rushed around Skiddo in wide circles while kicking up powerful poisonous spores that seemed to have no effect, while the other rushed in and scratched Skiddo’s other leg – all while Skiddo steadily grew larger than life in front of their eyes. Her new friend Skiddo was growing larger and stronger, being able to handle the Paras's tiny scratches. It was raining hard, but the weather did not affect Penelope's plan, or lack of a needed plan. She was going to do the same thing as last time. Seeing that the Skiddo had grown decently, she wanted to go straight for knocking out the opponents again.
"That might be enough Growth," she talked to herself.
"Skiddo, go for a Tackle on the new Paras!" Her order could be heard through the pouring rain.
The Skiddo bleated and hopped happily. He let the Parases know that the scratches and powders were nothing to him! He then ran around and tried to charge toward them again. He was actually excited to knock out more opponents, and almost spinning in circle like a little Poochyena, before running straight for a quick and easy tackle. His hooves crunched the soggy leaves, moisturized crunchy leaves, and freshly-fallen leaves that his movement was like a surprise series of drumming beats.

The situation was weird and while the two semi-controlled grass types knew that something had to be done to protect themselves, they were not in a state where they could think creatively and get new ideas. An unefected paras might have been able to depending on how panicked it was but these two were partly controlled by a not-so-thinking-shroom which relied on impulses and memory of the paras, so they didn't have what was needed to do that. Usually it was beneficial for both of them although the paras might not be able to think otherwise, at least until they evolved, but handling new unexpected happenings was not their strongest side. Skiddo did not react at all as they would expect but they had figured he was a grass type and grass type didn't like poison. They scurried around without goal as Skiddo galloped around, ran in circles and bucked from joy of the battle and feeling strong. They couldn't figure out what he was doing or where he was going, and then he lowered his head and charged directly at the biggest one of them. As Skiddo slammed into the paras and sent it rolling backwards, the other stopped dead in its track and stood as frozen until the bigger one had rolled to its feet again. Then the two began to release toxic spored from their mushrooms on their back and filled the air with them. While Skiddo pranced around and without a care in the world, and definitely no worry about some puny little poisonous clouds, Penelope would probably have to be aware not getting too close and risk inhaling some of it. The larger or older or more experienced Paras was still standing, much to Penelope's surprise. Maybe her Skiddo would needed more Growth to be able to knock out that Paras in one hit, but she decided that wasn't worth the time. The Skiddo sighed and bleated a little loudly, as he shook his head to recover from the Tackle that included more hopping around and charging than usual. He was also shaking this head because the poison powders were making him difficult to breathe in the fresh moist air from the rain.
After the poison powder dispersed from the torrential rain, Penelope exhaled and talked again. "Okay, I almost inhaled that. Skiddo, let's go for another Tackle again on the same Paras!"
The grass type tapped one hoof on the ground this time that he roger that command. Then, he went straight forward this time, with no extra hopping or swirling around before the charge. When he finally got close to a Paras, he bleated menacingly and softly.

The wild orange bugs needed a new strategy. The mushrooms on their backs wanted to scream in alarm but the bugs that they controlled only stood and stared with a strange, wide-eyed glance. What could they do to help take this Grass Type goat down a few levels and ensure their own victories? The Orbed Paras sent its New friend a knowing glance, to which the other Pokemon only nodded firmly. A quick but firm action was needed – something with a heavy punch that ensured that the Skiddo would remember for the rest of his life just who he was messing with! They darted in two different directions, with one Paras rushing Skiddo from the left and another Paras rushing Skiddo from the right. Skiddo bleated loudly before kicking off across the ground. The pouring rain’s icy touch didn’t seem to slow him down. Though their constant downpour caused the ground to grow slick from moisture and only aided to the Pokemon’s speedy forms, if only minutely so. Paras skittered and their feet slipped about, sliding across the dampened earth in different directions. One pushed the other, who slid underneath Skiddo as it slammed its large head into the larger Paras. The smaller one’s eyes widened in alarm, and it slammed its thick pinchers against the sides of its face in terror as it watched its friend collapse on the ground in front of it. It needed help! More help than it could ever ask for! The Paras tossed its head backwards and opened its mouth wide as it called out in alarm. Please, any and all Paras nearby, lend me your pinchers! The call echoed through the towering mushrooms and littered leaves on the ground, causing them to stir a bit before settling in place once more. Another Pokemon strangely familiar to all the others darted over the horizon in a hurry to join its friend. It rushed Skiddo from the side and jumped on top of the large goat’s back. Paras scratched and clawed at Skiddo’s back mercilessly, giving it everything it had to tear at the large goat’s flesh for hurting its friend! The first Paras didn't take much effort for the Skiddo to knock it out of the way. The defeated Paras scuttled out of the way when it got the chance. However, the orbed Paras continued to call for assistance, and another Paras had joined in the fray. After the two exchanged information, Penelope was getting ready to attack again, but she was thinking something else this time.
"It looks like the Paras move kind of fast, maybe go for a Razor Leaf!" Penelope hollered, but she was now trying to see what happens if you were trying to hit both Pokemon at once.
Technically she did used Razor Lead on the recent Foongus attacks, but this time she wanted to see how well the Paras would handle the slicing leaves. Skiddo bleated and charged two steps forward before he lowered his head to let the razor leaves flew toward his enemies. Penelope was trying to ignore the rain, but it seemed to have gotten quieter and almost ending. She tried to pay attention this time to where the leaves were flying to see if they hit the Paras, and how many leaves hit them.

The rain pummeled the ground below. It dripped from the tall branches above Penelope’s and the battling Pokemon’s heads, creating large drops that would splash on top of them and all around them. The rhythmic sounds of the drizzling weather seemed to create an eerie beat. The Newer Paras ran over to its larger friend and raised its clawed hands up, shaking them wildly as it chatted away. The Orbed Paras turned about with a vacant expression, reaching for one of its mushrooms to slam into the back of the newest Paras, and paused when it noticed this host already being consumed by the fungus. That only left one shared goal for them both. It raised one of its claws up and shook it angrily in Skiddo’s direction. The Orbed Paras sent small droplets in different directions as it shook its wet claws all about, though the downpour would coat the wild host once more. The Newer Paras tilted its head and tapped the ground with one foot, before slowly turning to share vacantly at the grassy goat who stood like a wall in their way. This was the giant that was knocking out its companions left and right? This was the beast that the Orbed Paras feared above all else? It wailed angrily and rushed after the enlarged Skiddo in its haste. Skiddo whipped up a furious tornado of sharp, jagged edged leaves that spiraled through the howling rains. They ripped and tore through the two Paras easily, causing deep gashes to form along the fungus that shot out of their backs. The Orbed Paras cried out in pain, before collapsing in a fainted heap on the ground. It would be some time, but once it was able to recover its senses, the Orbed Paras would rush back off through the scattered debris on the bottom of Mushroom Bank and disappear into the distance. The Newer Paras wasn’t giving up so easily, though. It leaped with a furious scream, jumping onto Skiddo’s back and ripping at his fur with its sharp claws. This was for all of its friends that this beast had already hurt! Wild Encounter Weather: Raining [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Orbed Paras LV 10 HP 0% [0/30]

It might be raining very hard. The Paras might have double type advantage over the Razor Leaves, but that did not stop the Skiddo. The Orbed Paras was down, and the reinforcement Paras was down to a silver of its health. It tried to retaliate with a Scratch, but it was all for nothing because the Skiddo was standing firm and handling it like it was a scratch, literally.
Penelope was keeping an eye on the rain, and it looked like it might be slowing down, and possibly stopping soon. This was good news to her as she could see better without all that rain in the way of her vision. She gave her Pokemon a cheer and her final move. "That was a good Razor Leaf! We're down to the last Paras, so finish off with a Tackle!"
The prideful and combative Skiddo happily walked quickly toward the Paras, as if he was mocking the enemy for not handling hits well. When he would get close, he would casually speed up a little and slam the poor Paras. He felt that he didn't need to check if the Paras was unconscious or not after he would land the tackle.

A strange turmoil happened inside of the Newer Paras’ mind. The fungus fought against the bug’s mind, who seemed lost for a second as it glanced around the howling winds and vicious rains. Where had its friend that fought alongside it gone? It searched with wide, blank eyes that stared vacantly through the tall mushrooms blossoming up from the forest’s floor. Placing both of its large claws on either side of its face, the Newer Paras called out in alarm. Did the one that originally call it into the fray disappear just like that, leaving it to fight this monumental beast on its own?! It spun back around and slammed its large claw against the dirt earth and scattered leaves underfoot. It skittered, darting in different directions as Skiddo raced after it on the tips of his speedy hooves. They ran throughout the forest, with Paras sliding underneath an overturned tree trunk while Skiddo leaped over onto the other side. It squeaked loudly as it came face-to-face- with this beast, who had managed to block its only exit. How did the Skiddo manage get ahead of it, when it had darted underneath the tree? Paras backed up slowly, shaking like a leaf as Skiddo lowered its horned head down towards his opponent. BAM! The Skiddo backed up and rammed his horned into Para’s small body. The bug screamed out in pain so loud that even the howling rains were rivaled by the sounds. When Skiddo hopped away from his opponent, the Paras fell down on the ground. One leg la a few inches away, separated from its physical body. The one-leg-down Paras jumped in alarm, grabbed its foot in one claw, and tore off through the scattered leaves and over the winding hills, through the rains, to disappear. There was no way that it was going to stay around Penelope or this large, powerful beast! What would they do to it next if it stayed?! It didn’t want to find out! SUCCESS!! Skiddo gained 1 level. Skiddo was 10+ Levels for Level 9 & Level 10 Paras to gain anything. Skiddo increased to Level 21!Skiddo grew closer to Penelope. +1 Skiddo increased to +3 Happiness!
