Before Ethan was like, close to the trees, a small Sewaddle fell with a plop and met the pair, at the same time a breeze was blowing. Seeing that this was his fourth encounter, the young trainer decided this would be the one he would try to catch, and hollered his Pokemon to wait and standby.
He reached into his BCC bag and grabbed a ball, immediately throwing it in the Sewaddle's direction. He watched as the ball was trying to stay within the same direction as the breeze blew. Should the capture failed, he would grab another capture device and try it again.

Ethan watched as the two balls failed to capture such a small little bug. He understood now why people were screaming here and there. They were more likely screaming in frustration and not because of seeing bugs. He groaned quietly and then told his Shedinja to stand still again. He grabbed yet another capture device and threw it in the Sewaddle's direction again.
He wondered if he should lower the Sewaddle's health, but that might lower his score. However, he didn't even care about the score anymore as he already started this BCC with way too many rash decisions. Well, he wanted to push his luck once more.
The Shedinja hummed as the opponent tried to tackle it. The Sewaddle just went straight through, and the floating bug Pokemon remained motionless without even turning to check on the Sewaddle. It knew nothing could hurt it. The ghost type "closed" its eyes and enjoyed the weather as the breeze cooled its hollow husk.

Ethan had a lot of balls left to capture this stubborn Sewaddle. He groaned in slight frustration as the third capture attempt failed. He hollered at his dual type Pokemon to stay put for longer. The Shedinja heard and hadn't even opened its eyes. It felt something thin and sharp going through its body, but the hollow husk didn't take much damage from that. The Shedinja was just using its supernatural power to stay still against the breeze.
"Why are you being so resistant?" Ethan grumbled quietly to himself, not that he would expect the Sewaddle to understand. He gripped the ball tightly with his wrist before motioning for yet another toss. He could really weakened the Sewaddle if he had wanted, but he didn't want to do that. He watched and waited as he gambled another capturing. He could already see the last two balls broken and on the side.

It didn't look to fancy hanging as a living target here and Cover was creeping it out, it sent several leaves flying again, but they went straight through the ghost doing no harm. Ethan was done attempting to catch it without weakening it. Now, he wanted his Pokemon. He ordered his patient and quiet Shedinja for a single Scratch. The Shedinja finally moved, and lowered itself a little from where it was floating. Then, it zoomed toward where the Sewaddle was, and try to struck it with something sharp.
Ethan figured he could weaken this Sewaddle first and catch it, and then save most of his capture device for MAYBE his last encounter. He sighed and just watched as the Shedinja did its work. So far, using his Shedinja was not that bad of a gamble, he thought to himself. The Sewaddle and other bug Pokemon before it seemed no threat to the partial ghost type.

His Shedinja did scratched the Sewaddle really hard. The dual type's leafy face protected it from the scratch, but Ethan could see the scratch marks on the back of the Sewaddle. He caught a glimpse of the scratch mark, and it looked like Cover hit really hard. If the Shedinja and Sewaddle were a couple, he might have to call the cops on those scratch marks alone. The Sewaddle tried another useless tackle, but to no avail.
He figured this should be good enough for now. He grabbed another sports ball and told his Shedinja to stand by again. The capture device licked some sweat off of his palm as he tossed it in the Sewaddle's direction. He watched patiently and intently to see if this would be a successful capture. He had already given up on getting a good score on this Sewaddle. Who cares about the score at this point, it wasn't the lottery!

That took a couple of balls, but Ethan finally caught that Sewaddle. He walked toward the ball and picked it up after the successful DING sound. He was glad that he finally caught a Pokemon! He could have gone back to Pokemon Center without catching anything, with a grand total of zero for his scores and effort. He paused to think where he should go next for maybe his next encounter, should he stayed by these trees or moved back to the tall grass. Cover hummed a little bit to remind Ethan that it was here. The trainer looked around and decided to walked in a different again, and away from the trees.
As he ventured, he saw some people successfully capturing their bug Pokemon, surrounded by a litter of broken sports balls. Some were still battling their bug and struggled. He was ready for the last gamble now. He's ready to see what bug would turn up and how much of a battling and catching the new bug would be.

It was about to change. A scyther had watched the pair and Cover was an opponent it had never faced before and it landed with a thumb in the grass in front of them and pointed a scythe at the ghost bug, demanding a battle. This was Ethan's one last gamble. His last encounter was a Scyher, who was part flying type. The young musician had to be careful with this gamble, because one hit from this Scyther's flying type move attack would meant that he would be out of this BCC. However, he also didn't care anymore as he already made too many rash choices so far.
Cover was unfazed by the pointy hand the Scyther pointed toward it. Another day of Pokemon trying to be threatening to him. He would have yawned if the designer of its species sitting in some high cloud office would give itself that ability. The freaks up high were gaming his defense capabailties.
He started with the first command. "Cover, start with a Protect and see what moves this Scyther has." The Shedinja hummed and hardened itself as it also created a barrier to block whatever choice of attack the dual type might choose.
When that was over, the trainer gave another gamble. "Go for a Shadow Sneak!" The floating husk prepared for another one of his shadowy attack. In Ethan's mind, he knew that in this turn, if Shedinja got hit by a single move that would be super effective from the Scyther, he would be done. Then, he could go back to chill in the Air Conditioned spaces. For now, he would have to gamble on this battle.
