It had taken Aglaia surprisingly long to make up her mind, or perhaps just believing what she was seeing. What was the chances of not only running into a shelmet, which apparently was sought after, but also not just one, but two karrablasts? Now she just needed a pinsir to complete the set.
"Perhaps I am meant to be a bug type trainer," she commented dryly to herself as she watched the new karrablast doing its best to look better and bigger than the former one. Aglaia couldn't see any difference in them.
"Hippotas!" Smokey called impatiently, were they going to battle or what?
Aglaia looked around and was surprised to see that she seemed to me rather alone out here, most contestants were gathering around the entrance by now. Anton was still there but she looked just a tad to late to see, that he had been fighting and catching a scyther. There were also another trainer who was battling a pinsir, "good luck," she mumbled her best wishes for him and turned resolved back to her own battle.
"Let's try finish this quick too with a couple of bites," Aglaia ordered, Smokey groaned that her temporary trainer still thought she was just biting, but she sparked up her sandstorm and leaped at the Karrablast.

The crunch sound from Smokey biting down made Aglaia shiver, it was a horrible one and she could almost see how things broke under the pressure of the hippopotas' teeth. She frowned a bit and did her best to ignore the sound of the second crunch, it didn't sound like this usually, when Smokey had bit the earlier pokemon. Was it due to Karrablast being different or had the ground type learned to do the moved differently?
The karrablast retaliated with a furious cutting which Smokey took with stoic calm and then it settled on surviving the attacks from Smokey.

"You should have fallen for the sand," the hippopotas said ominously, "you are not going to like the alternative," she was sure the bug should have gone down due to her sand and was quite annoyed it was still standing. Wobbly and clearly not able to do much, but still on its feet. She could have let the sandstorm finish it off but she wasn't going to let this karrablast get it that easy and she jumped at it with her mouth wide open.

Aglaia looked up surprised when Anton called out to her, and she waved to him but didn't answer. It sounded like a good idea to do any talking later, especially since they were running out of time.

The karrablast tires of the battle and lets the giant hippo finish it off with a crunch. The karrablast then falls down trying to dig as deep as possible to avoid the sandstorm. Once the sandstorm is finished, an official walks up to Aglaia.

"Miss, I believe that was your last encounter which means your time out in the field is done. If you follow me to the judging area, we will look at what you have caught. We also need to let those who still have encounters or balls have the space to finish up."

When Aglaia and the official got to the judging area, the official took the offered bug Pokemon put it before the judges. They examined it and gave it a rank.

"Now miss Aglaia, you can keep this kricketot from this point on. I hope it serves you well in the future if you decide to keep it."
